HDPE/Carbon Black/MWCNTs Hybrid 나노복합재료의 PTC 특성 (The PTC Characteristics of High Density Polyethylene/Carbon Black/MWCNTs Hybrid Nanocomposites)

  • In this paper, the effects of the MWCNTs on the PTC characteristics of the conventional CB/polymer nanocomposites were investigated. For the uniform dispersion of the MWCNTs in the polymer matrix., nitricacid-treated MWCNTs were dispersed with the dissolved HOPE in the solvent. After evaporating solvent, the dried master batches in the oven were melt blended mixed with CB and HDPE to obtain the PTC materials. The initial resistivity of PTC materials decreased and the PTC intensity increased with the MWCNTs. During three repeated heating and cooling cycles, the PTC materials containing MWCNTs showed a great reproducibility due to the conductive network structures of CB particles and MWCNTs.

블로우 몰딩 공정에서 분사 압력이 성형 두께에 미치는 영향에 관한 연구 (Study on the Effect of Gas Pressure on Bottle Wall Thickness in the Blow Molding Process)

  • This study analyzed the deformation behavior of the high density polyethylene (HDPE) bottle in the blow molding process. We carried out finite element (FE) simulations using ANSYS Polyflow. First, the axisymmetric model was executed by 2D FE-simulation to determine the change of bottle wall thickness during the molding process. Then, the square model of the bottle was executed by 3D FE-simulation to gauge the effects of gas pressure on the change of wall thickness. The experiment results showed that the FE-simulations were able to upgrade the quality of the HDPE bottle in the blow molding process. These results can be used as guidance in adjusting gas pressure, as well as be extended for further study to determine process parameters such as temperatures, forming velocity, parison shape, etc.

  • In order to maintain the faith and accuracy with precision of machinery, it is recently required the precise comprehension about approach which is appeared in the contact area between two bodies, because approach affects the static stiffness and dynamic characteristic of contact area. This study applied H. Hertz's circle contact area theory as much lower measuring force. It is measured approach influenced by various factors which were concerned with contact errors like material, form of two bodies, using calibration tester. As a result, the following conclusion can be obtained. 1) The approach appears greatly in order of carbon steel(SM20C), aluminum(A601-T6) and high density polyethylene(5305E) 2) The approach appears in order of concave, disc, convex form, in the ration of contact area size by the difference of curvature.

Hydrolysis of Olive Oil by Lipase, Immobilized on Hydrophobic Support

  • Two commercially available lipases, Lipase OF (non-specific lipase from Candida rugosa) and Lipolase 100T (1, 3-specific lipase from Aspergillus niger), were immobilized on insoluble hydrophobic support HDPE (high density polyethylene) by the physical adsorption method. Hydrolysis performance was enhanced by mixing a non-specific Lipase OF and a 1, 3-specific Lipolase 100T at a 2 : 1 ratio. The results also showed that the immobilized lipase maintained its activity at broader temperature ($25~55^{\circ}C$) and pH (4-8) ranges than soluble lipases. In the presence of organic solvent (isooctane), the immobilized lipase retained most of its activity in upto 12 runs of hydrolysis experiment. However, without organic solvent in the reaction mixture, the immobilized lipase maintained most of its activity even after 20 runs of hydrolysis experiment.

  • 본 연구에서는 목분 및 고밀도 폴리에틸렌(HDPE) 복합체의 연소시 화재위험성을 살펴보기 위하여 연기밀도 실험장치와 연소가스 측정장치를 이용하여 연기밀도 특성 및 CO 발생량을 살펴보았다. 또한 난연제 4종류를 첨가한 목분-HDPE 복합체와의 발연특성을 비교 분석함으로써 난연제의 억연효과를 살펴보았다. 그 결과 무기난연제인 수산화마그네슘(MDH)을 함유한 복합체가 가장 낮은 최대연기밀도(Dm)값을 나타내었으며 CO 발생량 또한 가장 낮았다.

  • 본 논문은 HDPE 필름의 절연성능을 평가하기 위하여 절연파괴강도의 결과를 Weibull분에 적용하였다. 각 절연파괴강도의 Weibull분포로부터 형의 모수를 구하였다. 또한 Weibull분포의 활용은 2개 및 3개의 모수법을 각각 적용시켜 절연파괴강도의 평가를 하였다. HDPE 필름을 열화시켜, 형의 모수변화를 비교하였다. 이와같은 Weibull분포의 활용은 절연성능과 수명의 평가를 통계적으로 평가코져 한다.

  • 본 연구의 목적은 자체 설계 제작한 하이브리드 발사체를 이용하여 대기 중의 미세먼지를 측정하는데 있다. 대기 중의 미세먼지를 측정하기 위한 방법으로는 중량농도법을 이용하였으며, 미세먼지 측정을 위한 포집장치를 자체 제작하였다. 엔진은 5port의 HDPE(High Density Polyethylene)를 연료 그레인으로 사용하였고 $LN_2O$(Liquefied Nitrous Oxide)를 산화제로 사용하였다. 압력, 가속도, GPS 등을 수집하며, 하이브리드 발사체의 동체는 FRP(Fiberglass Reinforced Plastics)로 제작한다. 전체 비행시간은 총 95초로 예상되며. 연소시간은 3초, 고도는 800 m 이다.

  • The structure and properties of blends of ethylene-propylene-diene terpolymer(EPDM) and polyolefin blends have been investigated. The rheology and tensile properties of the EPDM/HDPE(high density polyethylene), EPDM/PP(polypropylene) binary and EPDM/PP/HDPE ternary blends were studied along with morphological analyses. Those properties were affected by preferential interaction of EPDM on HDPE, compared to that of EPDM on PP, for the binary blends. The preferetial interaction may stem from the molecular characteristics of EPDM to possess more ethylene units than propylene units in the elastomer. The EPDM played a role as compatibilizer for HDPE and PP in the EPDM/PP/HDPE ternary blends.

Mathematical Properties of the Differential Pom-Pom Model

  • Recently in order to describe the complex rheological behavior of polymer melts with long side branches like low density polyethylene, new constitutive equations called the pom-pom equations have been derived by McLeish and Larson on the basis of the reptation dynamics with simplified branch structure taken into account. In this study mathematical stability analysis under short and high frequency wave disturbances has been performed for the simplified differential version of these constitutive equations. It is proved that they are globally Hadamard stable except for the case of maximum constant backbone stretch (λ = q) with arm withdrawal s$\_$c/ neglected, as long as the orientation tensor remains positive definite or the smooth strain history in the now is previously given. However this model is dissipative unstable, since the steady shear How curves exhibit non-monotonic dependence on shear rate. This type of instability corresponds to the nonlinear instability in simple shear flow under finite amplitude disturbances. Additionally in the flow regime of creep shear flow where the applied constant shear stress exceeds the maximum achievable value in the steady now curves, the constitutive equations will possibly violate the positive definiteness of the orientation tensor and thus become Hadamard unstable.

  • The accumulation of space charge in PE/PE/PE laminates was investigated using the low density polyethylenes having different melt indices from 0.25 to 45 g/10 min. Both heterocharge and homocharge accumulated in parent polyethylenes depend on the value of melt index. A general rule found in this study was that the heterocharge decreases as the melt index increases and finally the homocharge accumulates when the melt index is very high. Because of this reason, PE laminates showed different charge formation characteristics depending on melt index of polyethylene. Details of up to date results are described in the text.
