A Study on the Development of Railway Logistics Business Model and Track Capacity

  • Purpose: This study attempts to analyze the current status of the railway logistics business and to seek ways to improve it by using the business model as an analytical framework. It was intended to reflect practical implications that could be applied to the field, by dealing with issues at the industrial site related to each component in the business model. Research design, data and methodology: This study was conducted through literature review and field research. We analyzed academic papers and industrial reports on the development of the railway logistics industry and interviewed various stakeholders in the railway logistics industry. Results: This study determined the factors that could be eliminated, raised, reduced, or created from the customer and product perspective, infrastructure management perspective, and financial perspective. Conclusions: The growth of existing business can be achieved by lowering service prices, improving service quality, and securing large-scale transportation capacity. The additional transportation of high value goods and cold chain commodities will be promising business opportunities. Existing services can be provided to new customers (large pre-shippers, forwarding customers, etc.) in order to increase the size of sales Urban delivery services and comprehensive logistics services based on complex logistics centers may open an avenue for new market. A more timetable and track capacity need to be assigned to logistics, which significantly improve the flexibility and the competency of railway logistics.

  • Limestone area have mostly certain geological defects such as the internal cavities due to melting and fractured zone by external pressures. Especially, in case of constructing grand bridge, the treatment of the limestone cavities area having the geological defects is inevitable. In order to reduce foundation settlement and to reinforce the ground in the limestone cavities area, high pressure jet grouting has been carried out as a countermeasure method. Despite the fact that high pressure jet grouting method has already adopted at a lot of limestone cavities area, but the amount of research and technical data on the high pressure jet grouting have not been accumulated properly so for. Therefore this paper intends to investigate the strength characteristics and deformation characteristics for reinforced limestone cavities area by high pressure jet grouting method. In addition, load carrying capacity obtained by static pile load test with load transfer measuring system is analyzed.

  • In this study, compare and analyze for high-rise evacuation safety design criteria improvement about internal high-rise building egress safety rule. To the result, high-rise evacuation safety design criteria improvement data can be summarized as follows. First, should compute the evacuation capacity about the number of persons and when more than 2 exits are requested, over 50% of evacuation capacity must be satisfied even approaching to 1 exit is unable. Second, 2 ways of evacuation can be made smoothly by the stair or exit separation-distance standard regulation. Third, regulate the length limitation of dead-end corridor or passageway and it should give grades in limitation of whether the spring-cooler has been installed. Fourth, must secure the evacuation way and do the evacuee guidance when it's safety area and elevator or stair. Also needs to provide extra safety area to secure horizontal direction Escape Safety except fire escaping floor.

  • Digital high resolution cameras are widely available, and are increasingly use in digital close-range photogrammetry. And photogrammetry instruments are developing rapidly and the precision is improving continuously, The building of 3D terrains of high precision are possible and the calculation of the areas or the earthwork volumes have high precision due to the development of the technique of the spatial information system using computer, In this study, using the digital camera which has capacity of keeping numerical value by itself and easy carrying, we analyze the positioning error according to various change of photographing condition. Also we t]v to find a effective method of acquiring basis data for 3D monitoring of high-accuracy in pixel degree through digital close-range photogrammetry with bundle adjustment for local terrain model generation and earthwork volume.

Manufacture Research of Gradual Standard Color Chart for the Capacity of Reinforcement of Practical Color Coordinate Education (색채활용교육의 역량강화를 위한 단계별 표준색표집의 제작 연구)

  • This research designed usable standard color chart which was planned by hue and tone color system. This research studied 5 types standard color chart by designed tone map and preceding research. "Basic Color Chart 14 Colors" was planned for kindergarteners. "Primary Color Chart 63 Colors" was planned for schoolboys. "Middle Grade Color Chart 114 Colors" was planned for junior high school students. "High Grade Color Chart 152 Colors" was planned for senior high school students. "Hue and Tone 205 Colors" was planned for university students and general publics. These 5 types standard color chart were produced the trial color coordinate card and attached the Munsell notation which could reappear the spare color paper when needed. These 5 types standard color chart would be offered the data base for efficient color coordinate education as school age.

  • Due to the recent increase in the mobile streaming market, mobile traffic is increasing exponentially. IMT-2020, named as the next generation mobile communication standard by ITU, is called the 5th generation mobile communication (5G), and is a technology that satisfies the data traffic capacity, low latency, high energy efficiency, and economic efficiency compared to the existing LTE (Long Term Evolution) system. 5G implements this technology by utilizing a high frequency band, but there is a problem of path loss due to the use of a high frequency band, which is greatly affected by system performance. In this paper, small cell technology was presented as a solution to the high frequency utilization of 5G mobile communication system, and furthermore, the system performance was improved by applying machine learning technology to macro communication and small cell communication method decision. It was found that the system performance was improved due to the technical application and the application of machine learning techniques.

  • The unit-water content of concrete is one of the important factors in determining the quality of concrete and is directly related to the durability of the construction structure, and the current method of measuring the unit-water content of concrete is applied by the Air Meta Act and the Electrostatic Capacity Act. However, there are complex and time-consuming problems with measurement methods. Therefore, high frequency moisture sensor was used for quick and high measurement, and unit-water content of mortar was evaluated through machine running and deep running based on measurement big data.

A Study on the Effects of Regional Context on Entrepreneurial Orientation (지역적 맥락이 기업가 지향성에 미치는 영향)

  • Purpose: The companies must be located in the area, scale up, create jobs, and return to the local economy. This paper attempted to analyze empirically the relationship between regional context and entrepreneurial orientation(EO) in the region of Korea. Methods: This paper analyzed survey data and regional statistics. We measured EO by region and then examined which regional context affect EO. Regional contexts were measured by population, economic size, budget size, firm size, innovation capacity, and education level. EO was measured by innovativeness, risk taking, proactiveness, autonomy, competitive aggressiveness, and need for achievement. Results: EO was high in the region where the budget size per thousand population, the number of manufacturers per thousand population, the number of new corporations per thousand population, the number of R&D personnel per thousand population, and the number of students of higher education institutions per thousand population were high. Conclusion: The implications of this paper are that regional context affect EO, and there are differences in budget scale, firm size, innovation capacity, and education level. In regions with many investment resources for innovation and startups and manufacturers, the number of R&D personnel and students of higher education institutions (future R&D personnel), in particular, determines EO.

  • Protection of user service becomes increasingly important since even very short interruption of service due to link or node failure will cause huge data loss and incur tremendous restoration cost in high speed network environment. Thus fast and efficient protection and restoration is one of the most important issues to be addressed. Protection methods have been proposed to provide efficiency and stability in optical networks. In this paper, an original network is separated into several domains using Hamiltonian cycle. and link protection is performed on the cycles of the domains. We have shown that protection path length can be decreased up to $57{\%}$ with marginal increase of backup capacity. Our proposed method can provide high-speed protection with marginal increase of protection capacity.
