조강슬래그시멘트를 이용한 콘크리트의 기초물성에 관한 연구 (A fundamental Study on the properties of Concrete by using the Rapid Hardening Blast Furnace Slag Cement)

  • Blast-furnace slag cement has been used widely as a structural material due to the latent hydraulicity of granulated ground blast furnace slag(GGBS)for a long time as The wall as ordinary portland cement. In this study, based on the fundamental investigation on the high strength and high durable concrete using the high fineness GGBS the following remarks can be made. 1) The average desired strenth of concrete is Or=600~800kg/$\textrm{cm}^2$. 2) The above high strength concrete using the high fineness GGBS is more workable than those using only OPC. 3) The adiabatic temperature and drying shringkage decrease, so the density and resistance to sea water attack increase as results. 4)The unit cement content and unit air entrained admixture at the same desired strength of concrete decrease, so the economical high strength concrete can be manufactured from using the high fineness GGBS.

  • A potential use of superplasticizing admixture is to produce structural concrete of High-strength concrete,. By using a superplasticizer, more workable mixes can be achieved while permitting a high cement content and a low water/cement ratio both of which are necessary to obtain high strength by conventional manufacturing technique. In this study, therefore, high strength concrete having a 28-day strength in excess of 650kg/$\textrm{cm}^2$ can be obtained using a superplasticzer. However, before such a high strength concrete is recommended for use, engineering properties have to be assessed. This study is aimed to analyze and investigate the engineering properties, such as strength, elasticity, ultrasonic pulse velocity, rebound value of superplasticized concrete having a various cement content.

  • In this study, we manufactured the ultra-high strength concrete using mineral admixture which is easily workable. From the test results of compressive strength, It is concluded that the proper replacement ratio of silica fume should not exceed to 10% and the replacement of slag is more effective that the replacement of fly ash to gain very high compressive strength. Thermal stress analysis is conducted to find the way of controlling the thermal crack of ultra-high strength concrete. As results of thermal stress analysis, it was found that reducing placing temperature of concrete(pre-cooling) is effective to reduce thermal crack and placing concrete in high air temperature is more effective than placing concrete in low air temperature.

  • In road pavements, it is known that cement concrete pavement has superior durability. But in repairing pavement, cement concrete pavement is not usually applied because of the length of time while the road is interrupted when using Ordinary and Rapid-hardening Portland Cement. And Super High Early Strength Cement and Ultra Super High Early Strength Cement are not favorable for ready mixed concrete because of rapid setting time, high slump loss and other restrictions. We developed special cement developing 1 day strength of over 30.0N/$mm^2$ to open the road within 1 day and workable time is maintained over 1 hour so that it can be used as ready mixed concrete. We performed experimental overlay construction with concrete and evaluated the properties of the fresh and hardened concrete. The flexural strength was over 5.0N/$mm^2$ and the compressive strength was over 30N/$mm^2$ at 1 day. So it is thought that the road can be open to traffic within 1 day after placement.

  • Various of batches of recycled concretes were produced with different rations of recycled aggregate (20% and 50%) and admixtures based on workable range of slump value and using a fixed w/c ration. Mechanical characteristics of the recycled concretes were evaluated. Test results showed that, in general, relatively high strength recycled concrete could be obtained using a plasticiser. The concrete using fly ash showed somewhat reduced strength, lower elastic modulus and relatively high strain, in general. However, the strength reduction ratio of the recycled concrete due to adding fly ash was relatively minor, compared with normal concrete. Since it has been known that the fly ash is used in place of cement and gives an improved long term strength, a further study may be warranted for a possibility of using fly ash without degrading the strength required.

  • This paper presents the fundamental study on rational manu(acture of Very High Strength(VHS) concrete using industrial by-products as like silica fume, slag and fly ash. In this study, we had tested various mixing cases to manufacture the VHS concrete(target compressive strength : over 1,000 kgf/$cm^{2}$) which is easily workable (target slump flow : 60$\pm$l0cm), The main variables studied are; 1) test variables to find the optimum replacement ratio of mineral admixture, 2) test variables to find a rational water-binder ratio, a proper binder content, 3) test variables to find the method for reduction of slump loss, 4) test variables to know the influence of air entrainment on frost resistance. From the test results, it is concluded that the rational mix design can be made by using 40% slag, 10% silica fume, and water reducing agent(slump loss reduction type). We found that it is unnecessary to entrain air for freeze-thawing resistance.

  • This paper presents the fundamental study on rational manufacture of Ultra High Strength(VHS) concrete using industrial by-products as like silica fume, slag and fly ash. From the test results, it is concluded that the rational mix design can be made by using 40% slag, 10% silica fume. We found that compressive strength of UHS concrete increases according to decreasing W/B ratio but in W/B ratio 18~20%, the difference is vague and the compressive strength does not necessarily increase according to increasing binder content over 700kg.

We performed experimental overlay construction with the cement and evaluated the mechanical property and the durability. At curing temperature of 8-l8$^{\circ}C$,the flexural strength was 6.4N/mm$^2$at 1 day, so that the road can be open to traffic within 1 day. In durability test, the hardened concrete showed higher durability than Portland cement concrete.

  • 본 연구는 해안가 매립지 지하구조물의 염해저항성능 향상을 위해 개발된 고내구성 콘크리트인 PHDC(Promoted High Durability Concrete)에 대한 현장적용성에 관하여 기술하였다. PHDC는 기존해안가 매립지 지하구조물 용 콘크리트가 요구하는 수밀성 확보, 균열저항성 및 염소이온 침투 방지효과가 기존의 슬래그를 혼입한 콘크리트 보다 우수 한 것으로 조사되었고, 현장 적용시 시공성 및 품질관리가 용이 한 것으로 조사되었다. 본 연구에서는 PHDC 의 강도발현, 균열저항성 및 내염해성을 조사하였고 해안매립지 지하구조물을 Life 365 프로그램에 의한 콘크리트 구조물 수명평가를 실시하였다.
