This study developed smart vests with heat and massage functions that changed patterns, designs, materials, etc., and evaluated their functions and satisfaction. A knitted fabric with good elasticity and a heating lining were used, and in consideration of this, the final vest pattern fitted to the upper body was completed. A heat pad was attached to the back, and 6 vibration motors were attached to the trapezius muscle. The controller was placed on the left chest for easy operation, and the battery was stored in an inner pocket under the controller. The heating effect of the smart vest, the location of the devices, and the ease of operation were excellent. When the massage function was operated, the thermal comfort was increased compared to when the massage function was not operated, and the high thermal comfort was perceived by the operation of heat and heat+massage function. Due to the battery, the weight, irritating contact of devices and wearing sensation decreased, but there was no reduction in wearing sensation due to heat and vibration devices. The greater the satisfaction with the massage function, thermal comfort, fit, appearance and weight, the greater the product satisfaction.

The production processes were reviewed through the injection analysis of the shift lever as a core component of an auto lever installed in the automatic transmission of cars. The injection analysis was carried out for the shift lever and rod among the components in a shift lever module. The shift lever and rod are designed for injection molding with the insertion of a tube, a pin cable plate, and a steel rod for securing the strength of the product. The charging time, failure of injection molding, weld line, air trap, and deformation were reviewed according to this insert. Analyses on various gate positions were carried out for reviewing the cultivation and deformation of fiber around major components, such as the generation section of manipulation feeling and assembly section, so that optimal gate conditions might be reviewed and reflected in the mold design. Finally, we plan to compare the analysis results with the production of trial products.
Citrus sunki Hort. ex Tanaka is one of several Jeju-native citrus fruits. A number of biological properties for citrus fruits have been suggested, however little is known about those of C. sunki. The present study tested whether fermented product of C. sunki peel (FSP) might affect the activities of enzymes regulating ethanol metabolism. Effects on body weight gain as well as on fatty liver formation were also investigated. The activities of alcohol dehydrogenase and aldehyde dehydrogenase were stimulated remarkably by FSP. Excessive ethanol-induced cytotoxicity was also prevented by FSP in HepG2 cells. FSP decreased the weight gain and fatty liver formation induced by a high-fat diet in mice. From these results, FSP might be a potent source of neutraceuticals useful for preventing ethanol-induced health problems.
The semiconductor industry develops and maintains software embedded in computer-controlled tools and facilities, to process and manufacture high-tech products. Upgrading embedded softwares for semiconductor processing robots and machinery is one of the basic activities that must be performed in order to maintain product quality and integrity. Maintenance and enhancement of embedded software consume a major portion of the total life cycle cost of a system. However, the area has been given little attention in the literature. 502 maintenance and enhancement cases, related to embedded softwares in wafer processing machines, were selected at random for analysis. Practical implications are also discussed.

The pyrolysis for production of hydrogen and high quality carbon black from natural gas were studied. The reactivities in tubular reactor and FVR(free volume reactor) for the methane pyrolysis were compared, in order to prevent the formation of undesirable carbon product such as pyrocarbon, the FVR was designed. The hydrogen yield and the formation of carbon black from methane pyrolysis in this reactor were investigated at temperature range between 1443 and 1576K. From the result of TEM (transmission electron microscopy) analysis, it was confirmed that the CFC(catalytic filamentous carbon) was formed without pyrocarbon.

The rise of the machine culture in the last 20th century has rapidly changed the world into a high-tech civilized society but at the same time, it also caused environmental estrangements such as damage in the environment and the loss of humanity in the human society due to materialism. As a reaction to the absence of humanity in such environment, in these modern days design which acts as the product of public art, escaped from the previous physical functional satisfaction and stood out as the culture industry that satisfies human's sensibility. This study is focusing on the method of how such sensitive designs are expressed in the interior space of retail shops and such methods are researched through the image evaluation test conducted to the 10 brands of overseas' jewelery shops. The purpose of this study is to analyze the meaning and effects of designs that took consideration of sensibility in a retail shop and to establish efficient marketing strategy using sensitive design and to utilize it into the interior space.

The market size of Korea's seafood industry is estimated to be about 62 trillion won ('19), of which the seafood processing industry is about 10 trillion won ('19), accounting for approximately 16% of the total market size. However, the current level of processing technology required for the development of seafood products is mainly simple primary processing, such as freezing and drying raw materials (in Jeollanam-do, which ranks first in the country in terms of seafood production, primary processors account for 86% of all seafood processors). In the future, trends in the development of processing technology for seafood will become more advanced in response to changes in domestic and international food consumption patterns. Blue food tech linked to ESG, convergence and digitalization linked to the 4th industry revolution will be further advanced in line with the national seafood industry policy direction. Through this, it is expected to establish itself as an axis of future technology management in the fisheries sector based on the large and small success stories of accumulated seafood R&D commercialization.

Among high-tech products, the mobile phone has experienced a rapid rate of innovation and a shortening of its product life cycle. The shortened product life cycle poses major challenges to those involved in the creation of forecasting methods fundamental to strategic management and planning systems. This study examined whether the best model applies to the entire diffusion life span of a mobile phone. Mobile phone sales data from a specific mobile service provider in Korea from March of 2013 to August of 2014 were analyzed to compare the performance of two S-shaped diffusion models and two non-linear regression models, the Gompertz, logistic, Michaelis-Menten, and logarithmic models. The experimental results indicated that the logistic model outperforms the other three models over the fitted region of the diffusion. For forecasting, the logistic model outperformed the Gompertz model for the period prior to diffusion saturation, whereas the Gompertz model was superior after saturation approaches. This analysis may help those estimate the potential mobile phone market size and perform inventory and order management of mobile phones.
The promotion of new product is one of most important object for exhibition design. The majority of conventional exhibition technique has been implemented through one-way communication. However, using digital technology, development of new exhibition techniques is necessary for promotion of high-tech products and consideration of the phases of the times. This paper propose the various possibilities of exhibition design model which is using camera sensing and video input/output. Interactivity is efficient method to communicate between viewers and displays. Viewers can be participate actively and exhibition goal will be accomplish through this. Using camera as visual senses, video input/output technique is offered not only introducing new product but also entertaining viewers through various ways of representation. Physical experience and learning process can be expected from the exhibition space and the object. The classification of the artist who are using video input/output technique and exhibition examples are described. The collaboration on a work with the new media artist and the exhibition design will be complement each other. It will be solved the problems of realization and corporation of idea and technology.

This study analyzed the registration of patent and utility models by fashion firms in Korea. A total of 2,291 registration cases of IPC A41B-H from the period of 1996 to 2009 were collected by KIPRIS of the Korean Intellectual Property Organization (KIPO). All cases were analyzed by year to review the longitudinal trend and 481 cases of IPC A41B (shirts, underwear, baby linen, and handkerchiefs) and 1088 cases of IPC A41D (outerwear, protective garments, and accessories) were analyzed by content (provided benefit type and developing method), by detailed product items and the characteristics of the applicant. The results of this study were as follows: 1) Registration of IPC 41 increased steeply by the year (especially since 2006) and the patent registrations increased more than those in the utility model. 2) Analyzing the application content of A41B on the basis of benefit showed that 75% were to provide new functions and the rest were for health. In terms of the developing method, 83% of benefit provided by the application were by design development, 11.2% were by material, and the rest was by process, In the cases of IPC A41D, 23.6% were for safety and protection. In terms of the developing method, the process and material development were more frequently adopted than in the cases of A41B. 3) The major product types of A41B were socks, underwear, and infant wear, whereas gloves and parts of clothing were major items in A41D. 4) In terms of the characteristics of the applicant, registration by firms was greater for patents than for utility models and registration by foreigners increased in 2006 due to the complete opening of the retail market. 5) Fifteen universities registered for a total 57 cases and major applications were for IT related clothing or high-tech protective items.
