고효율 무선 전력 전송을 위한 고효율 E급 전력 증폭기 및 공진 코일 설계에 관한 연구 (Study on the Design of High Efficient Class-E Power Amplifier and Resonant Coils for High Efficient Wireless Power Transfer System)

  • 최근 무선 전력 전송 시스템은 조명 분야뿐만 아니라 전기 자동차, 스마트폰 무선 충전 시스템 등 다양한 분야에서 기술이 점차 확대 적용되고 있다. 무선 전력 전송 시스템의 전력 전송 효율을 판가름 하는 가장 큰 두가지 요소로는 전력을 무선으로 전달하는 매개체인 송, 수신 코일부와 전력을 증폭하는 전력 증폭기부가 해당된다. 본 논문에서는 고효율 무선 전력 전송 시스템을 구축하기 위해 6.78MHz에서 동작하는 고효율 전력 증폭기 설계 방안과 공진 코일 제작 방법에 대해 소개한다.

고농도 암모니아성 질소 폐수의 효과적인 혐기성 처리를 위한 영향 인자 평가 (Estimation of influening factors for efficient anaerobic digestion of high strength ammonia-nitrogen wastewater)

  • In this study, the influencing factors for efficient anaerobic digestion of high strength ammonia-nitrogen wastewater removal were investigated by testing biochemical methane potential test. In the influencing factors, the trace metals which could increase activity of anaerobic microorganisms, microbial concentration and types were evaluated. In the results, trace metals supplementation showed gas production amount higher than those without addition of trace metals. Among the tested trace metals, B, Ni, and Se were preferable to gas production. In the result of gas production according to the microbial concentration, the amount of gas production was proportional to the microbial concentration. In addition, the shortest lag time and the fastest gas production rate were achieved when the highest microbial concentration was tested. granule-type microorganism produced more gas than suspended-type microorganism. In conclusion, the efficient anaerobic digestion for high strength ammonia-nitrogen wastewater removal could be achieved by applying necessary trace metals injection and high concentration granule type microorganism.

A Study on Thermal Load Management in a Deep Geological Repository for Efficient Disposal of High Level Radioactive Waste

  • Technology for high-level-waste disposal employing a multibarrier concept using engineered and natural barrier in stable bedrock at 300-1,000 m depth is being commercialized as a safe, long-term isolation method for high-level waste, including spent nuclear fuel. Managing heat generated from waste is important for improving disposal efficiency; thus, research on efficient heat management is required. In this study, thermal management methods to maximize disposal efficiency in terms of the disposal area required were developed. They efficiently use the land in an environment, such as Korea, where the land area is small and the amount of waste is large. The thermal effects of engineered barriers and natural barriers in a high-level waste disposal repository were analyzed. The research status of thermal management for the main bedrocks of the repository, such as crystalline, clay, salt, and other rocks, were reviewed. Based on a characteristics analysis of various heat management approaches, the spent nuclear fuel cooling time, buffer bentonite thermal conductivity, and disposal container size were chosen as efficient heat management methods applicable in Korea. For each method, thermal analyses of the disposal repository were performed. Based on the results, the disposal efficiency was evaluated preliminarily. Necessary future research is suggested.

건설용 강재개발 및 용접기술동향 (Development of Structural Steel and Trend of Welding Technology)

  • A brief overview is given of the development of various structural steels and their welding application technology. Firstly, the general characteristics and welding performance of structural steels used in architecture and bridge are introduced. For safety against earthquakes or strong wind, and for highly efficient welding in high-rise building constructions, ultra high strength steel with tensile strength over 800 MPa or high HAZ toughness steel plates under high heat input welding have been developed. In particular, efficient welding technology ensuring high resistance to cold and hot cracking of ultra high strength steel is reviewed in the present paper. Secondly, various coated steels used mainly for outer part in construction are briefly discussed. Moreover, a major drawback of coated steel during welding operation, and several solutions to overcome such technical problem are proposed. It is hoped that this review paper can lead to significant academic contributions and provide readers interested in the structural steels with useful welding technology.

  • High-level synthesis(HLS)는 주어진 동작(behavior)과 면적(area), 성능(performance), 전력 소비량, 패키징, 테스팅등의 주어진 제한을 만족하게 구현된 구조적 디자인을 생성한다. 즉 high-level synthesis란 디지털 시스템의 알고리즘 단계 서술로부터 레지스터 전달구조의 구현에 이르는 과정을 의미한다. 이러한 high-level synthesis의 과정은 컴파일, 분할(partitioning), 스케줄링(scheduling)등의 단계를 거쳐 디지털 시스템을 설계할 수 있다. 본 논문에서는 high-level synthesis의 단계 중 스케줄링 과정에서 제한조건이 실리콘 면적으로 주어지는 경우에 최적의 functional unit의 수를 찾아내어 최소의 control step에 효과적으로 스케줄링 가능한 알고리즘을 제안하였다.

  • In the paper, the development of high-speed industrial turbo blowers with foil air bearings is presented as a first successful commercialization in the world. Their target market is various from wastewater treatment to cement factory processes which require compressed air ranging between 0.6 and 0.8 bar gauge. Employing the state-of·the-art technology of the high-speed BLDC motors, the bump-type foil air bearings and the high- efficient turbo impellers/diffusers, so much compact, efficient and silent blower machines of a single stage are now available in the market, aiming to replace the existing inefficient, bulky and noisy ones, such as roots blowers. The first production lines are established fur 25,75 and 150 hp class blowers. Rotational speeds from about 20,000 to 80,000 rpm are realized directly from the high-speed BLDC motors without any gear boxes, and no lubrication oil is required. A brief introduction of design, manufacture and test results is presented fur mechanical, electrical and aerodynamic performance.

Efficient Classification of High Resolution Imagery for Urban Area

  • An efficient method for the unsupervised classification of high resolution imagery is suggested in this paper. It employs pixel-linking and merging based on the adjacency graph. The proposed algorithm uses the neighbor lines of 8 directions to include information in spatial proximity. Two approaches are suggested to employ neighbor lines in the linking. One is to compute the dissimilarity measure for the pixel-linking using information from the best lines with the smallest non. The other is to select the best directions for the dissimilarity measure by comparing the non-homogeneity of each line in the same direction of two adjacent pixels. The resultant partition of pixel-linking is segmented and classified by the merging based on the regional and spectral adjacency graphs. This study performed extensive experiments using simulation data and a real high resolution data of IKONOS. The experimental results show that the new approach proposed in this study is quite effective to provide segments of high quality for object-based analysis and proper land-cover map for high resolution imagery of urban area.

모바일용 디지털 오디오 스피커를 위한 고효율 드라이버 설계 (A High-Efficiency Driver Design for Mobile Digital Audio Speakers)

  • In this paper, we designed Interpolation FIR(Finite Impulse Response) filter and 1-bit SDM(Sigma- Delta Modulator) for small digital audio speaker, which has low power consumption and high output characteristics. In order to achieve high linearity and low distortion performance of the systems, we adopt Type I Chevychev FIR filter which has equiripple characteristics in the pass band and proposed high efficient FIR filter structure. SDM is the most efficient modulation technique among the noise shaping techniques. In this paper, we implemented SDM using CIFB(Cascade of Intergrators, Feed-Back) which is generally used in DAC of small digital audio speakers. The proposed SDM structure can achieve high SNR, high-efficiency characteristics and low power consumption in mobile devices. Also considering manufacture of SoC(System on Chip), we performed simulation with Matlab and Verilog HDL to obtain optimal number of operational bits and verified a good experimental results.

High-throughput identification of chrysanthemum gene function and expression: An overview and an effective proposition

  • Since whole-genome duplication (WGD) of diploid Chrysanthemum nankingense and de novo assembly whole-genome of C. seticuspe have been obtained, they have afforded to perceive the diversity evolution and gene discovery in the improved investigation of chrysanthemum breeding. The robust tools of high-throughput identification and analysis of gene function and expression produce their vast importance in chrysanthemum genomics. However, the gigantic genome size and heterozygosity are also mentioned as the major obstacles preventing the chrysanthemum breeding practices and functional genomics analysis. Nonetheless, some of technological contemporaries provide scientific efficient and promising solutions to diminish the drawbacks and investigate the high proficient methods for generous phenotyping data obtaining and system progress in future perspectives. This review provides valuable strategies for a broad overview about the high-throughput identification, and molecular analysis of gene function and expression in chrysanthemum. We also contribute the efficient proposition about specific protocols for considering chrysanthemum genes. In further perspective, the proper high-throughput identification will continue to advance rapidly and advertise the next generation in chrysanthemum breeding.

The Synthesis and Electrochemical Performance of Microspherical Porous LiFePO4/C with High Tap Density

  • Over the past few years, $LiFePO_4$ has been actively studied as a cathode material for lithium-ion batteries because of its advantageous properties such as high theoretical capacity, good cycle life, and high thermal stability. However, it does not have a very good power capability owing to the low lithium-ion diffusivity and poor electronic conductivity. Reduction in particle size of $LiFePO_4$ to the scale of nanometers has been found to dramatically enhance the above properties, according to many earlier reports. However, because of the intrinsically low tap density of nanomaterials, it is difficult to commercialize this method. Many studies are being carried out to improve the volumetric energy density of this material and many methods have been reported so far. This paper provides a brief summary of the synthesis methods and electrochemical performances of micro-spherical $LiFePO_4$ having high volumetric energy density.
