  • 본 논문에서는 현재, 국내에서 민수용 및 군수용 전원장치용으로 개발하고 있는 에너지 저장용 고전압 캐패시터 설계기술에 대하여 기술하고 금속증착기술을 이용하여 국내에서 처음으로 개발한 10kV 47kJ 에너지 저장용 고전압 캐패시터에 대하여 실시한 성능평가 시험 결과를 제시하고자 한다.

Study of PD Location in Generators by PD Pulses Propagation

  • When a partial discharge takes place at the stator of a generator, the electrical pulse will propagate along the stator bars and the capacitor chains formed by the end part of the stator winds. On the first path, the pulse propagates as a travel wave at slow speed. On the second path, the pulse propagates at quick speed. Based on the data of the experiments on a real 50 MW steam generator, the author has found the pulses can propagate by magnetic field of the stator winding. It was studied that how to locating the partial discharge by signals coming from the different paths, including the features of signals on the two paths at time domain and frequency domain, the measurement frequency rang of the signals, the blind area, the advantage and disadvantage of this method.

A Multi-bit VCO-based Linear Quantizer with Frequency-to-current Feedback using a Switched-capacitor Structure

  • In this letter, we present a new linearization method for a voltage controlled oscillator (VCO)-based quantizer in an analog-to-digital converter (ADC). The nonlinearity of the VCO generates unwanted harmonic spurs and reduces the signal-to-noise and distortion ratio (SNDR) of the VCO-based quantizer. This letter suggests a frequency-to-current feedback method to effectively suppress harmonic distortion. The proposed method decreases the harmonic spurs by more than 53 dB. And a VCO-based quantizer employing the proposed linearization method achieves a high SNDR of 74.1 dB.

  • Damage in film capacitors has been investigated, using FTIR and ESCA, aiming to elucidate the nature of electrode removal and the possibility of base films to be damaged. Also, tests were conducted to investigate the effect of a long-term thermal aging at elevated temperatures. Unsuccessful clearing or grape-clustering processes can induce a long-term degradation which involves the chemical and morphological changes. Major changes are the oxidation and the decrease in surface crystallinity possibly arising from the corona discharge. An immediate deterioration of BOPP film may occur when the air entrapped between the film layers induces an extensive autocatalytic oxidative degradation. This type of immediate damage may result in a premature failure at an early stage of qualification test. As far as the nature of electrode removal is concerned, a permanent removal of electrode materials was observed in the main erosion area.

  • 본 논문에서는 새로운 레벨쉬프터 회로의 구조를 제안한다. 제안된 구조는 높은 입력전압을 필요로 하는 회로에 낮은 입력 전압을 주어도 충분히 동작할 수 있는 능력을 가진다. 기존의 레벨쉬프터 회로에 비해 동작 속도는 비슷하고 전력소모와 회로 면적에 대해서 장점을 갖는다. 마지막으로 HSPICE 시뮬레이션 과정을 통해 제안된 회로의 장점을 실험적으로 증명하였다.

  • The proposed converter has a merit of simple controlled circuit because the input current control discontinuously. And it is improve to input power factor that the snubber capacitor's energy regenerate to the AC source side. Specially using the discontinuous current mode in the reactor. This topology is reduced a current /voltage stresses of resonant devices in addition to a partial resonant strategy. The result of simulations of the proposed topology included in this paper.

  • In this paper, a novel control strategy for PWM current source converter and inverter is proposed, applying a multivariable state feedback control. The PWM converter controls line current to be sinusoidal and make input power factor unity. In addition, the modulation index control of dc link current is carried out, which produces lower loss of switching devices. Since the voltage control of inverter output filter capacitor is performed a decoupling of the d-q current of the induction motor is well retained. With the proposed algorithm, both high dynamic responses and satisfactory static performance can obtained.

  • A parallel resonant dc link inverter, one of the many resonant inverters, has some superior characteristics in camparision with other resonant inverters. But loss of the resonant oscillation and occurrence of high peak voltage in the resonant capacitor of these inverters are serious problems. In this paper, we investigate a control method for resonant dc link inverters which can overcome these problems. Experimental results are presented to show superior operation of the resonant dc link inverter using the proposed control method.

Improved KY Converter

  • In this paper, an improved KY converter is presented, which is constructed mainly by one charge pump capacitor and one central-tapped coupling inductor. Besides, a passive clamping snubber is added to this converter to improve the efficiency above half load. As compared to the KY converter, the voltage conversion ratio of the proposed converter is upgraded significantly. In this paper, the basic operating principles and mathematical deductions of the proposed converter are described, along with some experimental results provided to demonstrate the feasibility and effectiveness of the proposed converter.

  • 본 논문은 20kV 10kW급 고전압 캐패시터 충전용 전원장치의 동작특성과 제어방식에 대하여 기술하고 있다. 단상 고주파 공진형 인버터 방식을 채용한 전원장치는 영전압 스위칭 기술을 적용하여 장치의 효율을 개선하였고 2대의 단상 고전압 변압기를 사용하여 출력용량을 고르게 분담하면서 다양한 출력조건에 적용 가능하도록 설계하였다. 또한 다양한 조건에서의 시뮬레이션과 실험을 통해 개발된 전원장치의 동작특성을 확인하였다.
