이온펌프의 초고진공영역에서의 배기특성개선 (The Improvement in Pumping Characteristics of Sputter Ion Pumps in the Ultra High Vacuum(UHV) Region)

  • 초고 진공영역에서 배기특성 개선을 위하여 재질 및 구조가 다른 세가지 형태의 60(l/s) 형이온 펌프를 제작하여 그 배기특성을 측정하였다. 그 결과 음극판에 Ta 선을 전기용접한 펌프와 양극 cell의 구조에 변화를 준 펌프의 배기속도가 상용으로 이용되고 있는 펌프에 비해 약 50% 이상 개선되었다.

LNG 벙커링용 이중 단열적용 LNG 저장탱크 열해석 (Thermal Analysis on the LNG Storage Tank of LNG Bunkering System Applied with Double Shield Insulation Method)

  • IMO에서 규정하는 LNG 벙커링 선박용 연료 탱크 중 C형 가압탱크는 내외 2중 용기로 구성된 초저온 탱크에 $10^{-2}$ Torr 진공과 펄라이트 단열재가 충전되는 것이다. 그러나 이 단열방식은 LNG 기화량이 하루당 2.0 % 내외로 증발율이 커서 보다 단열효과가 좋은 탱크가 요구되어 진다. 본 연구에서는 내외탱크 사이에 고진공을 적용하고 외부탱크의 내벽체에 중간 단열로 펄라이트 진공단열을 적용하는 단열 방식을 새로이 고안하여 열해석을 수행하였다. 이의 장점으로는 진공 공간의 감소로 고진공 형성 시간을 크게 감소되고, 진공도 $10^{-4}$ Torr 이하에서 하루당 증발율이 0.16 %에 불과한 매우 효율이 높은 탱크 단열방식이 되었다. 만약 현재의 IMO C형 탱크의 진공펄라이트 단열에서 진공이 파괴되는 경우, C형 탱크는 하루당 4.9 %의 증발이 발생하고 새 고안 탱크는 5.23 %로 거의 동일하게 된다.

진공청소기 팬 모터의 진동 및 소음원인 분석을 위한 유동해석 (The Flow Analysis for Vibration and Noise Diagnostic of Vacuum Cleaner Fan Motor)

  • Recently technology resulted in highly efficient and multiple-functional electric appliances considering environmental problems. One of the environmental problems is noise of a product in respect to its function. A vacuum cleaner is an essential electric appliance in our daily lives. However, severe noise resulted from high motor speed for improving the function of the appliance is a nuisance for the user. This noise is caused by vibration from various parts of the appliance and fluid noise during a series of intake and exhaust processes while rotating the impeller connected to the axle at a high speed of the fan motor inside the vacuum cleaner rotating around 30,000-35,000rpm. Despite the fact that many researchers conducted studies on reducing the noise level of the fan motor in a vacuum cleaner, only few studies have been conducted considering both the theoretical and experimental aspects using fluid analysis by measuring vibration and noise. Moreover, there has not been a study that accurately compared major noise data obtained considering both of the aspects. In this study, both aspects were considered by considering the following experimental and theoretical methods to verify the major causes of noise from the fan motor in a vacuum cleaner.

진공분위기 내에서 건조마찰 미끄럼운동을 하는 저탄소강 표면의 마찰마모 특성 (Friction and Wear at Dry Sliding Low Carbon Steel Surfaces Under Vacuum Conditions)

  • The friction and wear of mild steel at dry sliding surfaces under different vacuum conditions have been investigated to understand the wear mechanisms. For the test, a ball-ondisk typed wear-rig has been built and implemented, allowing control of sliding speed, load and vacuum. Results show that, at a high sliding velocity, friction of low carbon steel (SS41) under a high vacuum is much higher than that of ambient condition and wear is much severer. It is due to lack of effective oxidation film formation on which steel surfaces could protect themselves against the severe wear. It has been shown, however, that there is a critical regime with contact conditions (at a low sliding velocity, a low load, and under a medium vacuum) at which effective, protective films of low carbon steel have been built on the surfaces in a friction process with a self-regulating way, resulting in both very low coefficients of friction (about 0.3) and mild wear. In order to investigate the protective films on steel surfaces, the worn surfaces and the wear debris have been experimentally analyzed with SEM, AES/SAM and XRD. A theoretical analysis of frictional heating at sliding surfaces, and an experimental analysis of the influence of oxidation wear under various vacuum conditions are described. The important variables on which self-formations of protective films at dry sliding surfaces depend, and the wear mechanisms are also investigated.

차량용 Built-in 청소기용 SRM 드라이브 시스템 개발 (Development of SRM Drive System for Built-in Car Vacuum Cleaners)

  • This paper discusses the design and control of a switched reluctance motor (SRM) drive system for a built-in car vacuum cleaner. The growing popularity of outdoor activities and recreation has led the automobile industry to expand technologies that increase the convenience of vehicles, and thus, a built-in car vacuum cleaner was introduced. However, the existing DC motor of a vacuum cleaning system has several disadvantages, such as maintenance cost and lifespan issues of its commutator-brush structure. An SRM can be a good alternative to the existing DC motor because of its high-speed capability, long lifespan, low maintenance cost, and high efficiency, among other advantages. A prototype SRM drive is designed and manufactured to verify its feasibility for use in a built-in car vacuum cleaning system. Dynamic simulation is conducted to determine the optimal switching angle for maximum efficiency and minimum torque ripple. Load test, noise measurement, and suction-power tests are also carried out.

  • High efficiency thin film photovoltaic device technology is reviewed. At present market situation, the industrial players of thin film technologies have to confront the great recession and need to change their market strategies and find technical alternatives again. Most recent technology trends and technical or industrial progress for Silicon thin film and CIGS are introduced and common interests for high efficiency and reliability are discussed.
