Electro-Rheological(ER) fluids change their apparent viscosity according to the electric field strength. Therefore, there are many practical applications using the ER fluids. ER effect on the dispersive system of polarizable fine powder/dielectric oil has been investigated. The electrical and rheological properties of starch based ER fluid were reported. Yield stress of the fluids were measured on the couette cell type rheometer as a function of electric fields, particle concetrations, and temperatures. The electric field is applied by high voltage DC power supply, The outer cup is connected to positive electrode(+) and the bob becomes ground(-). And the temperatures the viscosity(or shear stress) versus shear rates were measured. In this experiment shear rates were increased from 0 to 200s$^{-1}$ in 2 minutes. This thesis presents Bingham properties of ER fluids subjected to temperature variations. The temperature dependence of the viscosity was determined for ER fluids consisting of 35 weight % starch particles in automatic transmission oil.

This study aimed to analyze the performance of hydraulic systems for dental chair when long working hours makes the temperature of hydraulic fluid rise. The study was carried out in the following manner. First, 'cylinder's clearance' was reflected in the three kinds of hydraulic circuits, which were developed through the preceding study, in order to analyze oil leak. Second, 12 cases of simulations comprised of the up and down of cylinders were carried out. Third, it was determined whether the cylinder velocity of dental chair surpasses 1cm/s required in the development even in the hydraulic fluid temperature of 60℃. In conclusion, this study used SimulationX to verify the performance stability at high temperatures using three types of hydraulic circuits designed to develop a Korean unit chair.
Supercritical fluid technology (SFT) is recently one of the most new techniques, which has been interested various fields of related chemical industries. SFT is the most effective and practical technology with eco-friendly, energy-savings, and high efficiency as the technique using the advantages of supercritical fluid such as high solvation power, solubility, mass transfer rate, and diffusion rate. Especially, it is necessary to analyze, evaluate, and develop the potential of application techniques using SFT with these characterizations. Therefore in this review, the phase behavior in supercritical fluid at high temperature and pressure of monomers/polymers for the optimization of polymerization process are briefly described, and the preparation of molecularly imprinted polymers (MIPs) in supercritical fluid using supercritical polymerization and the performance evaluation of MIPs are introduced.

Geothermal energy is used in various forms, such as power generation, direct use, and geothermal heat pumps. High temperature geothermal energy sources have been used for power generation for more than a century. Recent technical advances in power generation equipments make relatively low temperature geothermal energy to be available for power generation. In these applications, lower temperature geothermal energy source makes smaller difference between condensing water temperature and it. Various condensing water temperatures were investigated in analyzing its influence on power generation performance. Condensing water temperature of organic Rankine cycle imposed greater influence on power generation and its performance in lower temperature geothermal power generation.

This study conducted joint research with the Navy logistics command ship technology research institute to resolve the occurrence of naval vessel's high-temperature warning and equipment shutdown caused by VRTU overheating during summer operation and the dispatch of troops to equatorial regions. The cooling effect was checked according to the installation of a thermoelectric device cooling system, and heat flow and heat transfer characteristics inside VRTU was analyzed using Computational Fluid Dynamics. In addition, the temperature distribution inside the engine room was assessed through interpretation, and the optimal installation location to prevent VRTU overheating was identified. As a result, the average volume temperature inside the VRTU decreased by approximately 10 ℃ with the installation of the cooling system, and the fan installed in the cooling system made the heat circulation smooth, enhancing the cooling effect. The inside of the engine room showed a high-temperature distribution at the top of the engine room, and the end of the HVAC duct diffuser showed the lowest temperature distribution.
It has become a big matter of concerns that the skill and measures against reduction of energy and cost for heating a protected horticultural greenhouse were prepared. But in these days necessity of cooling a protected horticultural greenhouse is on the rise from partial high value added farm products. In this study, therefore, a horizontal type geothermal heat pump system with 10 RT scale to heat and cool a protected horticultural greenhouse and be considered to be cheaper than a vertical type geothermal heat pump system was installed in greenhouse with area of $240\;m^2$. And cooling performances of this system were analysed. As condenser outlet temperature of heat transfer medium fluid rose from $40^{\circ}C$ to $58^{\circ}C$, power consumption of the heat pump was an upturn from 11.5 kW to 15 kW and high pressure rose from 1,617 kPa to 2,450 kPa. Cooling COP had the trend that the higher the ground temperature at 1.75 m went, the lower the COP went. The COP was 2.7 at ground temperature at 1.75 m depth of $25.5^{\circ}C$ and 2.0 at the temperature of $33.5^{\circ}C$ and the heat extraction rate from the greenhouse were 28.8 kW, 26.5 kW respectively at the same ground temperature range. 8 hours after the heat pump was operated, the temperature of ground at 60 cm and 150 cm depth buried a geothermal heat exchanger rose $14.3^{\circ}C$, $15.3^{\circ}C$ respectively, but the temperature of ground at the same depth not buried rose $2.4^{\circ}C$, $4.3^{\circ}C$ respectively. The temperature of heat transfer medium fluid fell $7.5^{\circ}C$ after the fluid passed through geothermal heat exchanger and the fluid rejected average 46 kW to the 1.5 m depth ground. It analyzed the geothermal heat exchanger rejected average 36.8 W/m of the geothermal heat exchanger. Fan coil units in the greenhouse extracted average 28.2 kW from the greenhouse air and the temperature of heat transfer medium fluid rose $4.2^{\circ}C$after the fluid passing through fan coil units. It was analyzed the accumulation energy of thermal storage thank was 321 MJ in 3 hours and the rejection energy of the tank was 313 MJ in 4 hours.
The flourite in Hwacheon, Hwanggangri and Keumsan district are major fluorite producing areas in Korea. The fluorite deposits of Hwacheon district are wholly fissure filling hydrothermal veins embedded in Precambrian gneiss and schists and Jurassic granites. Also some fluorite deposits are emplaced in felsite whose age is unknown. Emplacement of most fluorite veins of the district are controlled by EW fracture system. Fluorites are generally accompanied to chalcedonic quartz and also kaolinite, montmorillonite, dickite and calcite in parts. Vertical and lateral mineral zonings are not distinct. The fluorite deposits in the Hwanggangri district are wholly embedded in limestone and other calcareous sediments of Paleozoic Yeongweol Group. Most of the fluorite deposits belong to one of two categories which are steeply. dipping veins and gently dipping replacement deposits adjacent to Late Cretaceous(83-90mys) granite bodies. The strikes of fluorite veins of Hwanggangri district mostly occupy the fractures of $N30^{\circ}-40^{\circ}E$ and $N30^{\circ}-40^{\circ}W$ system. Fluorites are accompanied to calcite, milky quartz, chalcedonic quartz, and also montmorillonite, kaolinite in parts. But in some deposits, scheelite, various sulfide minerals and barite are accompanied. Emplacement of fluorite deposits are largely controlled by lithology and structures of this district. In some deposits fluorite veins gradate to scheelite veins and also telescoping of the mineral zones are found in this district. In the Keumsan district, fissure-filled fluorite veins and replacement deposits are mostly emplaced in limestone of Paleozoic Yeongweol Group, late Cretaceous quartz-porphyry, granite and sandstone. Some deposits are emplaced in Precambrian metasediments. Mineralogy and other characteristics of the deposits in this district is similar to those of Hwanggangri district. Fluid inclusion studies reveal the difference of salinities, $CO_2$ contents of ore fluid and temperatures during fluorite mineral deposition in the these districts. In Hwacheon district, ore-fluids were comparatively dilute brine and low $CO_2$ content. Filling temperatures ranges $104^{\circ}C$ to $170^{\circ}C$. In the Chuncheonshinpo mine, most deeply exploited one in this district, salinitles range 0.5-2. 2wt. % NaCl and filling temperatures range from $116^{\circ}C$ to $143^{\circ}C$. In the Hwanggangri district, ore fluids were complex and filling temperature ranges very widly. In the contact metasomatic fluorite deposits, ore fluid were NaCl rich brines with moderate $CO_2$ content and filling temperatures range from $285^{\circ}C$ to above $360^{\circ}C$. Fluids inclusions in tungsten and sulfide minerals bearing fluorite veins show high $CO_2$ content up to 31wt. %. Filling temperature ranges from $101^{\circ}C$ to $310^{\circ}C$. Fluids inclusions In mainly fluorite bearing veins were more dilute brine and low $CO_2$ contents. Filling temperatures range from $95^{\circ}C$ to $312^{\circ}C$. Filling temperature of fluid inclusions of Keumsan district are between $95^{\circ}C$ and $237^{\circ}C$. Data gathered from geologic, mineralogic and fluid inclusion studies reveal that fluorite mineralization in H wacheon district proceeded at low temperature with dilute brine and low $CO_2$ content. In Hwangganri district, fluorite mineralization proceeded by several pulse of chemically distinct ore fluids and formed the mineralogically different type of deposits around cooling granite pluton which emplaced comparatively shallow depth.
In sliding bearings, viscous friction due to high shear acting on the bearing surface raises the oil temperature. One of the mechanisms responsible for generating the load-carrying capacity in parallel surfaces is known as the viscosity wedge effect. In this paper, we investigate the effect of film-temperature boundary conditions on the thermohydrodynamic (THD) lubrication of parallel slider bearings. For this purpose, the continuity equation, Navier-Stokes equation, and the energy equation with temperature-viscosity-density relations are numerically analyzed using the commercial computational fluid dynamics (CFD) code FLUENT. Two different film-temperature boundary conditions are adopted to investigate the pressure generation mechanism. The temperature and viscosity distributions in the film thickness and flow directions were obtained, and the factors related to the pressure generation in the equation of motion were examined in detail. It was confirmed that the temperature gradients in the film and flow directions contribute heavily to the thermal wedge effect, due to which parallel slider bearing can not only support a considerable load but also reduce the frictional force, and its effect is significantly changed with the film-temperature boundary conditions. The present results can be used as basic data for THD analysis of surface-textured sliding bearings; however, further studies on various film-temperature boundary conditions are required.

Comparing to the gravimetric and volumetric method, the flowmeter calibration based on the master meter method is relatively economical and convenient, especially for high flowrate. The uncertainty of flow quantity and flowrate using the master meter method was evaluated according to the GUM (Guide to the Expression of Uncertainty in Measurement). In order to apply for the wider flow range, two master meters (electromagnetic flow meter) were employed as reference flowmeters. The uncertainty of the master meter was obtained by combining the statistical variation of the repeated measurements and the variation of fluid density and pipe material due to temperature and pressure changes were scrutinized. for a practical application, the uncertainty of calibrator, whose measuring capacity of 1000 ㎥/h obtained by employing two 500 ㎥/h electromagnetic How meters, was evaluated. The uncertainty budget shows the quantitative contribution of each uncertainty component to the overall uncertainty of the calibrator. As a result, it was found that the dominant uncertainties were from the master meter, which was evaluated statistically, and from the process of least squares fitting. On the contrary, the uncertainties arising from the variation of the fluid density and the pipe volume due to the temperature and pressure were negligible.

It is very important to measure and visualize the changes in the physical properties of fluid flow because this is the foundation of measurement techniques used in aerodynamics, heat transfer, plasma diagnostics, and stress analysis of transparent models. The optical methods are advantageous over probe-based techniques in the optical methods are of high speed, non-contact and are capable of providing full-field results with high spatial resolution. Therefore we propose the electronic speckle pattern interferometry(ESPI) that gives us a solution to overcome those limitations. In this paper the experimental results show qualitative and quantitative visualization of changes in the physical properties of the candle and alcohol lamp with 3D plotting. And we obtained the refractive index, mass density and temperature distribution of fluids. The results clearly show the process of flow phenomena and give the feasibility of quantitative interpretation of gasdynamics.
