Preparation of the hexagonal Sr-ferrite powsers with high performance by co-spraying precusor of the FeCl$_2$+SrCO$_3$ at a low temperature was proved as a cost =-effective method. The co-spray roasting was carried out in the temperature range of 300~$700^{\circ}C$ after SrCO$_3$ powders were mixed into 12FeCi$_2$.4$H_2O$ liquor. By this low temperature roasting method fine particles of multi-phased FeO$_2$+SrCO$_3$ were formulated. Powders calcined at 105$0^{\circ}C$ for 1 hour show the best magnetic property of M\ulcorner=69.96 emu/g, M\ulcorner=36.98 emu/g, and \ulcornerH\ulcorner=4.31 Oe. This calcining temperature is lower than that of the conventional dry method by 10$0^{\circ}C$.
Physical and magnetic behaviors of reduced Co-Zn-Ti-Sn substituted Ba-ferrite particles with hydrogen are different from those of reduced-pure Ba-ferrite particles. The coercivity of substituted Ba-feffite particles shows a peaking effect with the reduction temperature ranging from 250 to 520 $^{\circ}C$, while the coercivity of pure Ba-ferrite decreases monotonically. The reduction process of substituted Ba-ferrite has been found to be devided into three steps. At the first and second steps, the magneto-plumbite structure maintained. When the reduced-substituted Ba-ferrite particles are reoxidized, the coercivity is reversible at the first step but irreversible at the second step. During the third step of reduction process above 410 $^{\circ}C$. The magneto plumbite structure was collapsed with formation of $\alpha$-Fe and $BaFeO_{3-x}$ phases and consequently the coercivity distribution is broaden and the coercivity irreversible. The coercivity and saturation magnetization decreases and increases up to 130 emu/g respectively. In this study, it is found that the substituted elements prevent the magneto-plumbite structure from collapse during the reduction process and furthermore migrate from the magnetic sites of $2a+4f_{IV}$, 2b, and 12k to $4f_{VI}$ and 12k'. An increase in the coercivity before the collapse of magneto-plumbite structure is attributed to the migration of cations in hexagonal Ba-ferrite structure.
The magnetic properties, especially the magnetostriction, of ferroxplana $Zn_{1-x}$$M_X$Y(x=0.0, 0.2, 0.4, 0.6) were investigated at room temperature. In general, the Curie temperature and the permeability of ferroxplana $Zn_{1-X}$$Mn_X$Y increased while the amount of the other phase decrease with increased concentration of dopant $Mn^{2+} for $Zn^{2+}. The magnetostriction constnats K1, K2, K3 and K4 for ZnY were +0.3, -5.0, -4.3 and $-4.8{\times}$$10^{-6} while that for 4Zn^0.8$$Mn^0.2$Y were +2.5, -5.4, -6.0 and $-3.4{\times}10^{-6}$, respectively.
Ferroxplana N $i_{2}$Y(B $a_{2}$N $i_{2}$F $e_{12}$$O_{22}$ ) magnetic particles, which is one of the hexagonal ferrite were synthesized by a coprecipitation method. The coprecipitates were prepared by adding aqueous solution of BaC $I_{2}$ - 2 $H_{2}$O, NiC $I_{2}$ - 6 $H_{2}$O and FeC $I_{3}$ - 6 $H_{2}$O(of which the mole ratio is $Ba^{+2}$ : N $i^{+2}$ : F $e^{3+}$= 1 : 1 : 6) to a mixture of NaOH and N $a_{2}$C $O_{3}$. The shape of Ferroxplana N $i_{2}$Y magnetic particles obtained at 1, 100(.deg. C) was hexagonal plate-like, average particle size and aspect ratio were 2(.mu.m) and 7, respectively.y.
It has been prepared by a coprecipitation method for Ferroxplana $Ni_2Y\;(Ba_2Ni_2Fe_{12}O_{22}$ magnetic particles, which is one of the Hexagonal ferrite. The coprecipitates were synthesized by adding aqueous solution of $BaCl_2{\cdot}2H_2O,\;NiCl_2{\cdot}6H_2O\;and\;FeCl_2{\cdot}4H_2O$ (of which the mole ratio is $Ba^{2+}:Ni^{2+}:Fe^{2+}$=1:1:6) to a mixture of NaOH and $Na_2CO_3$ solution. The shape of Ferroxplana $Ni_2Y$ magnetic particles obtained at the calcined temperature 1,100($^{\circ}C$) was hexagonal plate-like, average particle size was 2(${\mu}m$), and aspect ratio was more than 7.
Hexagonal ferrite $Co_2$Z(B $a_3$$Co_2$F $e_{24}$$O_{41}$ ) was prepared by various coprecipitation-oxidation methods. The formation of $Co_2$Z was studied in order to determine the optimal method. The $Co_2$Z composition hydroxides were prepared with the different oxidation and precipitation from the aqueous solution of $Ba^{2+}$, $Co^{2+}$ and F $e^{2+}$ chloride mixture. The coprecipitates were heat-treated at various temperatures, and their formation phases and microstructures were investigated from the analyses of DTA/TGA, powder XRD and SEM. The $Co_2$Z phase was observed in the case where the precursor will have the amorphous like oxyhydoxide($\delta$-FeOOH), and formed from $Ba_3$F $e_{32}$$O_{51}$ , BaF $e_{12}$$O_{19}$ (M-type) and $Ba_2$$Co_2$F $e_{12}$$O_{22}$ (Y-type). The $Co_2$Z was synthesized by the heat-treatment of the coprecipitate, which was prepared from the precipitation after oxidizing the chloride mixed solution, above 110$0^{\circ}C$.EX>.

We have studied properties(crystal structure, density, absorption, contraction, initial permeability, and permeability) of Ba$\sub$0.2/Me$\sub$0.31/Fe$\sub$0.49/(Me:Ni$\sub$1-x/, Cu$\sub$x/ x=0~1) ferrites with various Me site, because of development of magnetic materials for inductor. As a results of the density, absorption rate, and shrinkage rate, the sintering temperature of Ba$\sub$0.2/ Me$\sub$0.31/ FEesub 0.49/(Me:Ni$\sub$1-x/ x=0.25, 0.75) had got over 1100$^{\circ}C$ for 3 hours. According to SEM images, the configurations of grain were hexagonal, Increasing the sintering temperature, initial Permeability increased. The complex permeabilities as a function of for several MHz showed constants.

An experiment was carried out to investigate the effect of Ba Stearate as a reducing agent on the magnetic and physical properties of anisotropic $BaFe_2-W$ type ferrite magnets. It was found that the magnetic properties of $BaO{\cdot}8.5Fe_2O_3$ were improved by adding 0.3 wt% of Ba Stearate, 0.5 wt% of $SiO_2$, and 0.5 wt% of CaO together. The optimum conditions for making magnets were as follows; semisintering condition: $1350^{\circ}C{\times}4.0$ h in nitrogen gas atmosphere, drying condition: $180^{\circ}C{\times}2.0$ h in air, sintering condition: $1160^{\circ}C{\times}1.5$ h in nitrogen gas atmosphere. Magnetic and physical properties of a typical sample were $J_m$ = 0.46 T, $J_r$ = 0.43 T, $H_{cJ}$ = 182.3 kA/m, $H_{cB}$ = 177.2 kA/m, $(BH)_{max}$ = 33.8 kJ/$m^3$, $T_C$ = $495^{\circ}C$ and $K_A$ = $2.65{\times}10^5\;J/m^3$ and $H_A$ = 1332 kA/m.
Hexagonal M-type barium ferrite $BaFe_{12}O_{19}$ was prepared by a direct solid state reaction between $BaCO_3$ and ${\Alpha}-Fe_2O_3$ powders at temperatures ranging from 800 to 1000 $^{\circ}C$ in a nitrogen or air environment. The effects of NaCl on phase transformation of mixture of $BaCO_3$ and ${\Alpha}-Fe_2O_3$ to $BaFe_{12}O_{19}$ were studied using X-ray diffraction and M$\"{o}$ssbauer spectroscopy. Regardless of the environment for heat treatment or the added NaCl, two phases, BaFe and ${\Alpha}-Fe_2O_3$, coexist for samples heat treated at 800 $^{\circ}C$, but a single phase was observed from samples heat treated at 100$0^{\circ}C$ in both air and nitrogen environments. It was found that the addition of NaCl reduced the amount of $a-Fe_2O_3$ phase.hase.
