해상풍력발전 버켓기초공법의 경제성 평가 (Economic Feasibility of Bucket Foundation for Offshore Wind Farm)

  • 풍력발전기의 용량이 점차 대형화되고 해상풍력단지는 수심이 깊은 곳에 조성됨에 따라 해상풍력발전구조물의 하부구조 및 기초시공비용 또한 급격히 증가될 것으로 예상된다. 석션버켓기초는 버켓형식의 기초를 자중에 의한 관입과 자중관입 이후 석션에 의한 관입으로 설치하는 공법이며, 대형장비 대신 충분한 용량의 펌프만 있으면 기초의 시공이 가능하므로 시공이 간편하고 경제적인 공법으로 알려져 있다. 본 연구에서는 석션버켓기초의 경제성을 검토하기 위하여 상부지반이 사질지반과 연약지반인 경우일 때 대수심 조건에 적용 가능한 기초형식인 자켓과 석션버켓기초를 적용한 트라이포드의 시공비용을 비교하였다. 그 결과 지반이 단단하고, 기초개수가 증가할수록 자켓형식보다는 트라이포드 버켓기초형식을 적용하는 것이 더 경제적임을 확인하였다.

방파제 기초에 적용된 고품질 DCM공법의 설계 및 시공 사례 (A Case Study on the High-quality DCM applied to the Foundation of Breakwater)

  • The paper presents a case study addressing the design and construction aspects for DCM(Deep Cement Mixing) method employed as the foundation of a caisson type breakwater with heavy weight(10,700 ton/EA) and a high design wave height($H_{1/3}$=8.7m). The DCM was designed for the project(Ulsan New Port North Breakwater Phase 1) by optimizing the pattern of DCM columns with a combination of short and long columns (i.e., block type(upper 3m)+wall type(lower)) and considering overlapped section between columns as a critical section against shear force where the coefficient of effective width of treated column($\alpha$) was estimated with caution. It was shown that the value can be 0.9 under the condition with the overlapped width of 30cm. In addition to that, a field trial test was performed after improving conventional DCM equipment (e.g., mixing blades, cement paste supplying pipes, multi auger motor, etc.) to establish a standardized DCM construction cycle (withdrawal rate of mixing blades) which can provide the prescribed strength. The result of the field strength test for cored DCM specimens shows that the averaged strength is larger than the target strength and the distribution of the strength(with a defect rate of 7%) also satisfies with the quality control normal distribution curve which allows defect rate of 15.9%.

저회 및 준설토를 이용한 에코인공경량골재의 제조에 관한 연구 (A study on the ecological lightweight aggregates made of bottom ashes and dredged soils)

  • 화력발전소에서 발생하는 저회와 준설공사 시 발생하는 준설토를 효과적으로 자원화하기 위하여 인공경량골재를 만들어 경량콘크리트에 적용 가능한지 물리 화학적 분석을 진행하였다. 서울에서 20 km 서쪽에 위치해 있는 영흥도에서 발생된 저회와 준설토를 이용하여 인공경량골재를 제조하였으며, 모든 원료는 혼합 전 분쇄하여 사용되었다. 제조된 골재는 KS에 의거하여 입도시험, 표건밀도와 흡수율 시험, 안정성, 알칼리 잠재반응, 중금속 용출 시험을 진행하였다. 입도분석에서 굵은 골재는 적정 조립율 값을 나타내었고, 잔골재는 조립율의 범위를 벗어났다. 경량화 될수록 흡수율이 증가하는 사실을 알 수 있었다. 안정성 및 중금속 용출 시험 결과 무해한 것으로 판단되었으나, 알칼리 잠재 반응성 확인 결과 몇몇 조성을 제외하고 무해한 골재로 판정되었다.

  • Railway bridges are divided into ballastless and ballast track bridges. The ballast abrasion occurs on the ballast track upon bridges more than soil roadbed because the track vibration occurs a lot in the ballast track upon bridges due to girder vibration when a train's weight is loaded onto track even though the identical ballast is used. The phenomena of mud pumping especially, which occurs when drainage is not properly secured for heavy rain, leads to the increase of maintenance work load and the decline of ride comfort. There are countermeasures such as ballast change, installation of cross-drainage for poor drainage, gutter establishment, ballast lifting methods, ballast mats and resilient sleepers laying for the mud pumping. The ballast thickness range in domestic railroad construction rule is uniformly set up according to the design speed of railroad and passing tonnage of train without considering field conditions which is considered in foreign railroad companies. The purpose of this study is to verify the effect of vibration decrease by measuring the acceleration, displacement and ride comfort of ballast track with the change of ballast thickness on the ballast track bridges and to suggest the optimal height of ballast on the Yocheon Bridge built for the test in Honam Line.

Construction and Characterization of a Single-Chain Immunoglobulin

  • We constructed a single-chain immunoglobulin in which the carboxyl end of the heavy chain variable domain is covalently joined to the amino terminus of the light chain variable domain via peptide linker and the carboxyl end of the light chain variable domain is linked to human ${\gamma}1$ Fc region through the hinge region. The molecule was expressed in Chinese hamster ovary cells, assembled into a dimeric molecule and secreted into the culture medium. The dimeric molecule (2E11) was purified from the culture supernatant by affinity chromatography on Protein G-Sepharose column. The size of the unreduced or reduced protein was the expected molecular weight of approximately 120 or 60 kDa, respectively, as assessed by SDS-polyacrylamide gel electrophoresis. The antigen-binding affinity of 2E11 was almost the same as that of a native antibody counterpart (CS131A), suggesting that the single-chain immunoglobulin may function like a native antibody.

Analytical study of house wall and air temperature transients under on-off and proportional control for different wall type

  • A mathematical model is formulated to study the effect of wall mass on the thermal performance of four different houses of different construction. This analytical study was motivated by the experimental work of Burch et al. An analytical solution of one -dimensional, linear, partial differential equation for wall temperature profiles and room air temperatures is obtained using the Laplace transform method. Typical Meteorological Year data are processed to yield hourly average monthly values. These discrete data are then converted to a continuous, time dependent form using a Fast Fourier Transform method. This study is conducted using weather data from four different locations in the United States: Albuquerque, New mexico; Miami, Florida; Santa Maria, California; and Washington D.C. for both winter and summer conditions. A computer code is developed to calculate the wall temperature profile, room air temperature, and energy consumption loads. Three sets of results are calculated one for no auxiliary energy and two for different control mechanism -- an on-off controller and a proportional controller. Comparisons are made for the cases of two controllers. Heavy weight houses with insulation in mild weather areas (such as August in Santa Maria, California) show a high comfort level. Houses using proportional control experience a higher comfort level in comparison to houses using on-off control. The result shows that there is an effect of mass on the thermal performance of a heavily constructed house in mild weather conditions.

경주 불국사 삼층석탑(석가탑) 파손원인에 관한 연구 (A Study on the Damage of the Three Storied Stone Pagoda of Bulguksa Temple in GyeongJu)

  • The purpose of this study is to analyze the cause of damage to the three storied stone pagoda of Bulguksa temple in GyeongJu. This report is attempted to making reinforcement and conservation plan through investigating and analyzing the cause of damage to that. The damage is caused by occurring of stress, degrading of stone strength, changing of underground soil structure, natural disasters and so on. Compressive stress, shear stress, bending stress and lateral pressure affected to the pagoda since built up. Ultrasonic examination data tells the strength of the stone. According to this result, strength of the stereobate stone materials is enough to support the weight of the upper ones. But we could found many other factors of the damage could consider, for example the problems occurred on building the pagoda construction and the weakness of the stone material(soft rock). And many environmental factors being changed in soil structure(subsidence of soil and degradation of bearing power of soil and freezing and melting of soil) can be seen as the cause of the damage. Natural disasters like earthquake, lightning and heavy rain were also thought to give direct impact to the damage. At last Concentration of compressive stress caused the crack and exfoliation on the stone materials and shear stress, bending stress and lateral pressure were main causes of the stereobate stone materials shearing.

복합공구대 디스크임계돌출거리와 절삭력과의 관계에 관한 연구 (A Study on the Relationship between the Cutting Force and the Critical Ejecting Distance of Disk for a Mill Turret)

  • Curvic coupling of mill turret should maintain disk weight and the cutting resistance which occurs the machining operation and must also have power transmission function. In order to improve machining operation range, the ejecting distance from curvic coupling to the disk must increase as much as possible. But moment is increased by the lack of capacity of the curvic coupling. Increase of moment is the cause of vibration/noise and degradation of machining performance not only stability problem. The manufacturer of mill turret has no the design information between the ejecting distance and the cutting resistance with safety of curvic coupling. Therefore this study describes a finite element analysis model of mill turret using ANSYS workbench. The structural analyses and modal analyses with varying of the ejecting distances and cutting resistances are performed. Finally the equation for relationship between the critical ejecting distance and the cutting resistance is defined under 5 of the safety factor for the maximum von-Mises stress at the curvic coupling.

수중 쇄암작업에 따른 진동 전파 특성에 관한 시공 사례 (A Case Study on the Vibration Propagation Characteristics by Underwater Rock Cutting Work)

  • 수중 암반 제거 방법은 화약을 사용한 수중발파와 크레인에 장착된 쇄암봉 낙하 충격을 이용하는 방법 등이 널리 이용된다. 이와 같은 암반 제거 방법은 환경적인 요인에서 지반 진동과 수중 소음을 유발하게 된다. 본 연구 대상 현장은 하역 부두의 접안능력을 향상시키기 위해 기 설치된 잔교식 돌핀 구조물에 근접한 지역의 수중 기반암을 쇄암봉 낙하에 의해 제거하도록 설계되어 있다. 시험시공을 통하여 쇄암봉 낙하 충격으로 유발되는 진동에 대한 계측, 평가를 거쳐 진동 추정식을 획득하였고, 이를 본 공사에 반영하여 구조물에 대한 안전성을 확보하였다.

결빙 방지를 위한 저전력 갑판이동로 개발 (Development of a Low-power Walk-way for Anti-Icing)

  • The walk-way means a passage installed on the deck of a ship so that a person can safely move under any circumstances. So, the walk-way has to maintain a temperature of $5^{\circ}C$ or more for anti/de-icing even at an ambient temperature of $-62^{\circ}C$, a temperature in polar region. At present, the walk-way with heating cable is used, but the anti/de-icing effect is insufficient due to low heat transfer efficiency. Also, it has a construction problem due to heavy weight. In this study, an walk-way with a CNT surface heating element is proposed for the high anti/de-icing effect and the heating value per unit volume. The international standard survey, conceptual design, and simulation for the structural safety and the heat transfer are performed for the development of the proposed walk-way. To enhance the performance, the case studies based on the simulation analysis are conducted. Finally, the final prototype, applying the optimum material and thickness (3.2t of SS400) based on the case study results, is fabricated and experimented.
