  • This paper deals with investigating some characteristics of the inverter-driven tractive induction motor according to the various rotor slot number. 2-D time-stepped finite element method considering the inverter voltage waveform is utilized for electromagnetic field analysis. As a result, harmonics spectra of torque and bar loss are compared in each case.

  • 천공위치 안내 시스템은 천공작업 Hole의 정확한 위치를 추적하는 시스템이다. 천공작업의 정확성과 안정성, 그리고 장비 조작의 용이성을 위하여 범지구 위성 항법 시스템(Global navigation satellite system, GNSS)을 이용하여 지표면의 천공위치를 찾아주는 안내 시스템을 연구 개발하였다.

  • During assembling the ship block, the lifting and turnover events are not only inevitable but also very important for safety aspects and block accuracy. However, they have been executed in empirical ways rather than numerical ways in consideration of the building schedule. In this paper, a structural analysis has been carried out for the container ship side block that collapsed in the course turnover stage. As a result, the causes of collapse and countermeasure plans are presented.

  • Electromagnetic forces as a source of vibration and noise are analyzed and compared for an induction motor with different rotor slot number each other which drive high speed trains. Time stepped finite element method is used to analyze electromagnetic field considering the voltage harmonics supplied from a inverter. As a result, a rotor slot number is determined to reduce the harmonics of electromagnetic forces.

  • Reactor Vessel is one of the most important structural part of nuclear power plant. It is manufactured by various steel forgings such as shell, head and transition ring. Head forgings has been made by open die forging process. After steel melting and ingot making, open die forging has been carried out to get a good quality which means high soundness and homogeniety of the steel forgings by using high capacity hydraulic press. This paper introduced the development trend of the open die forging process and manufacturing experience of large head forgings which canl be used for the reactor vessel of nuclear power plant.

  • SAW(Submerged Arc Welding) process is generally applied to a wide range of welding area in the fabrication of steel structure. This process has a good characteristic properties such as the high quality of welds and the high deposition rates, but in case of welding on a thick steel plate, it also has higher cold crack susceptibility than that of a thin steel plate. The purpose of this research is to find the main factor of crack generation and clarify the countermeasure for crack prevention, and then establish the optimum welding condition in a heavy thick steel plate. The results of this study are as follows, 1. The cause of crack generation is found the diffusible hydrogen penetrated into weld metal by decomposition of the remained moisture in SAW flux during welding. 2. For the removal of diffusible hydrogen, the raw materials of SAW flux are to be dehydrated at the high temperature in the initial manufacturing stage. 3. Mechanical properties of weld metal welded with the dehydrated SAW flux were evaluated very excellent, furthermore the weld metal has been proved to have low diffusible hydrogen content with 3.1ml /100g. 4. The weldability and quality welded with thick steel plates were improved by establishing the new optimum welding condition.

포장용지류에서의 중금속 분석을 위한 산분해 전처리 방법의 탐색 (Considerations of Acid Decomposition System for the Analysis of Heavy Metals in Packaging-grade Paper)

  • The fibrous raw materials in packaging-grade paper production in Korea were mainly obtained from waste paper. The use of recycled paper has both positive and negative impacts in papermaking process. The primary positive impacts are the environmental protection and manufacturing cost reduction, and the negative impacts are the quality reduction in paper quality and the accumulation of heavy metals and other pollutants in wet- and dry-end process. This study was carried out to consider the optimum acid decomposition system with the highest recovery rate for the analysis of heavy metals in packaging-grade paper. The open digestion system using Kjeldahl apparatus and the closed digestion system using microwave oven for decomposing the organic materials in paper were compared. In both open and closed digestion method, the combination of nitric acid, hydrochloric acid and hydrogen peroxide showed higher recovery rate than using only nitric acid alone because the presence of Cl- ions in hydrochloric acid stabilizes ligand formation with metal ions. KOCC was observed to have the highest heavy metal content among the recycled paper samples. The heavy metal contents decomposed with the closed digestion system were relatively higher than with open digestion system.

  • Aerial working platform is recently used broadly in heavy industry and construction field and also the utilization of it is growing. However, the raise of critical incident caused by unskilled operator is increasing gradually. To reduce and prevent such incident, the training for operating is essential. It's not easy to cover the requirements for the training with real platform because of the high price of it, safety and weather condition. This paper proposes a simulator for the training based on virtual reality to give the training safely regardless to the weather condition and the simulator is deliverable in lower price than real one. The simulator proposed in this paper is available to be set according to the level of trainee managing the assessment level and be also applied for the design of general heavy equipment training simulator based.

중공업 근로자의 악력 특성 분석에 관한 연구 (An Analysis of Grip Strength of Heavy Industry Workers)

  • The WMSDs are known to occur more in upper extremity than lower extremity, and such a ratio is increasing each year. The motions or repeated work requiring excessive strength beyond worker's maximum grip strength were known as a major cause of the WMSDs in upper extremity. To prevent the WMSDs in upper extremity, research on the grip strength characteristics analysis of field workers that can be used as basic data for work design and manual tool design is needed. The purpose of this study is to identify various variables affecting grip strength and is to find out the impacts of grip strength on WMSDs. This research measured the grip strength of 327 field workers at Heavy Industries, and also conducted a questionnaire survey on individual characteristics and job characteristics. As a result of analyzing grip strength, the grip strength was statistically significant (P<0.1) according to the body surface area (BSA) of the research subjects. The differences between percentile groups of grip strength were statistically significant (P<0.1) according to pain levels of hand/wrist/finger and arm/elbow. The comparison results between the average grip strength of Korean adult males and the average grip strength of the survey-targeted heavy industry workers show that the average grip strength of the heavy industry workers was higher by 9.75 kg. This study analyzed relationship between grip strength and the pain levels of hand/wrist/finger and arm/elbow, and compared the findings in this study with those of existing preceding studies. Also, this research comparatively analyzed the grip strength of Korean adult males and survey-targeted heavy industry workers. The findings of this study can be used as useful data for ergonomic work design and manual tool design to prevent WMSDs at industrial worksites, given that almost no data on the grip strength of workers in the industrial sites are found in Korea.

중공업 오염원이 부동산 가격에 대한 미치는 영향 중국 마안산시 중심으로 (The Impacts of Heavy Industrial Pollution Sources on The Real Estate Price Evidence from Maanshan City, China)

  • 현대사회의 환경오염 문제는 공업화에 따라 급격하게 변화하고 있기 때문에, 환경오염 문제는 다양한 분야에 직간접적인 영향을 미치고 있다. 특히 중공업 오염원은 입지 선택과 부동산 가치에 주요한 변수로 작용될 수 있다. 따라서 본 연구에서는 중국의 대표적인 철강 도시인 마안산시에 있는13개 아파트 단지의 거래 데이터에 기반하고 헤도닉 가격 모형 (Hedonic Price Model)을 이용해서 환경오염 중에 중공업 오염을 중심으로 부동산 가격에 대해서 미친 영향을 연구했고 결론을 내렸다. 연구 결과는 주택에서 오염원의 거리가 멀어 질수록 주택 가격에 인상 효과가 있다.
