A mold of free-form concrete segment can be used only one time. Thus, the construction duration and cost are increased. The materials of the mold such as wood and metal have limitations due to the implementation and reuse. The review of the material of the mold for free-form concrete segment is needed to reduce duration and production cost. Phase change material can be used both to implement free-shape by heating and to produce mold after cooling. After using Phase change material can be re-used to mold by heating. The scope of this study is many kind of phase change materials for molding. The aim of this study is to analyze the phase change materials for production of changable mold for free-form concrete segment. In this study, the paraffin wax that is melted at 64℃ was selected by considering both the energy efficiency and the weather of Korea.

We have studied the micellisation of poly(n-butyl acrylate)-block-poly(acrylic acid) and poly(n-butyl acrylate)-graft-poly(acrylic acid) in aqueous solution. The size and structure of the formed micelles was elucidated by scattering and imaging techniques. The micelle structure depends on pH, composition, and topology: graft copolymers form much smaller micelles that block copolymers of similar composition. We have also synthesized block copolymers of acrylic acid and N-isopropylacrylamide (NIPAAm) or N,N-diethylacrylamide (DEAAm). Due to the LCST of polyNIPAAm and polyDEAAm, these block copolymers spontaneously form micelles upon heating and they form inverse micelles upon decreasing pH below 4. If the LCST block is much longer than the PAA one, this presents a very convenient way to prepare crew-cut micelles. The polymers have been successfully used as stabilizers in emulsion polymerization. They also have been conjugated to streptavidin. The conjugates reversibly form mesoscopic particles on heating.

The chemical forms of Cd, Cu, Pb, and Zn were analysed by sequential extraction technique to evaluate the effects of drying and heating of dredged sediments from Lake Chungcho. The most abundant fraction of Cd, Cu, and Zn in the wet and untreated sediment was organic/sulfidic fraction that is state in reducing environment such as the bottom condition of Lake Chungcho, while Pb dominated in residual fraction. This means that the source of Cd, Cu, and Zn in the Chungcho lake sediment is related to the organic degradation and Pb to the erosion from surrounding rocks. With drying and oxidation by dredging, heating treatment, and disposal of the lake sediment, the chemical forms of studied metals changed greatly from organic/sulfidic fraction to adsorbed and reducible fractions which are more labile in oxygenated environment. Organic/sulfidic fraction of Cd, Cu and Pb in the wet sediment was transformed with drying and heating treatments to the labile ones like adsorbed and reducible fraction, but Zn to carbonate and reducible fraction. Heating of the sediment at $320^{\circ}C$ greatly increased the labile fraction of Cd and Cu, while that at $105^{\circ}C$ for Pb and Zn. It is believed that the increase in labile forms of heavy metals in the sediments by drying and heating is caused by the contact with oxygen during drying and heating and by the increase of pH of the pore water at the expense of organic/sulfidic fraction. It is concluded that the drying and oxidation currently used in the treatment of dredged sediment can increase labile forms of heavy metals in the sediment, and the potential of the metal availability from the sediment.

The floor heating method generally uses a wet construction method including the installation of resilient material, lightweight foam concrete, heating piping, and finishing mortar. Such a wet construction method not only delays other internal finishing processes during curing period for two mortar pouring process, but also has a disadvantage that it is difficult to replace the floor heating layer when it deteriorated because it is integrated with the frame. Dry floor heating construction method can be a good alternative in that it can solve these defects. Conversely, when it applied to the wall structure that is vulnerable to the interlayer noise compared with the column-beam structure, the question about the heavy-impact sound(HIS) insulation performance is raised. Therefore, conventional dry floor heating method is hard to apply to the wall structure apartments. Therefore, for the purpose to improve the applicability of dry floor heating method in wall structure apartments, this study investigated the change of floor impact sound, especially HIS insulation performance which is one of the required performance for the floor structure. This study tried to examine whether the change of heavy-impact sound pressure level(SPL) shows a tendency at the significant level according to the shape and mass of the floor structure. Through filed experiments on wall structure apartment, this study confirmed that the form of the raised floor shows better HIS insulation performance than the fully-supported form. In addition, it was also confirmed that the HIS insulation performance increases with the mass on the upper part. Moreover, this study found the fact that a mass of about 30 kg/m2 or more should be placed on the upper structure to reduce the heavy-impact SPL according to the bang machine measuring method. Although this study has a limit due to insufficient experiment samples, if the accuracy of this study is increased, it will contribute to the diffusion of dry floor heating by setting the HIS insulation performance target and designing the dry floor heating structure that meets the target.

The purpose of this study is to revise the HDD(Heating Degree-Days) of main cities of Korea because the outside temperature rise have been accelerated by global warming recently. Now our HDD(Heating Degree-Days) for the utility design of district heating system had been `established in 20 years ago. Therefore new heating degree days for main cities of korea had been required and determined using long-term measured outside weather temperature data during 30 years. For the analysis of HDD, five different base temperatures ranging from 24 to $16^{\circ}C$ were chosen in the calculation of heating degree days. And new yearly heating degree days of 15 cities of korea were given in the tabular form.
Global average temperature rise accelerates by global warming in the three decades of the 20th century. But Current HDD ( Heating Degree-Days) which we are using has been established 20 years ago. Therefore new heating degree days for 15 district areas of korea was determined using long-term measured data. Five different base temperatures ranging from 24 to $16^{\circ}C$ were chosen in the calculation of heating degree days. And yearly heating degree days were given in the tabular form.

Background: This study evaluated changes in ginsenoside compositions and antioxidant activities in hydroponic-cultured ginseng roots (HGR) and leaves (HGL) with heating temperature. Methods: Heat treatment was performed at temperatures of $90^{\circ}C$, $110^{\circ}C$, $130^{\circ}C$, and $150^{\circ}C$ for 2 hours Results: The ginsenoside content varied significantly with heating temperature. The levels of ginsenosides Rg1 and Re in HGR decreased with increasing heating temperature. Ginsenosides F2, F4, Rk3, Rh4, Rg3 (S form), Rg3 (R form), Rk1, and Rg5, which were absent in the raw ginseng, were formed after heat treatment. The levels of ginsenosides Rg1, Re, Rf, and Rb1 in HGL decreased with increasing heating temperature. Conversely, ginsenosides Rk3, Rh4, Rg3 (R form), Rk1, and Rg5 increased with increasing heating temperature. In addition, ginsenoside contents of heated HGL were slightly higher than those of HGR. The highest extraction yield was 14.39% at $130^{\circ}C$, whereas the lowest value was 10.30% at $150^{\circ}C$ After heating, polyphenol contents of HGR and HGL increased from 0.43 mg gallic acid equivalent/g (mg GAE eq/g) and 0.74 mg GAE eq/g to 6.16 mg GAE eq/g and 2.86 mg GAE eq/g, respectively. Conclusion: Antioxidant activities of HGR and HGL, measured by 1,1-diphenyl-2-picrylhydrazyl and 2,2-azino-bis-3-ethylbenzothiazoline-6-sulfonic acid radical scavenging ability, increased with increasing heating temperature. These results may aid in improving the biological activity and quality of ginseng subjected to heat treatments.
The multi-point dieless forming technology is one of flexible forming technologies that can form 3D curved surfaces of various shapes utilizing a lot of punch arrangements. A new technology that can simultaneously apply high-temperature forming and flexible forming technology by fusing local heating effect to such multi-point dieless forming technology was proposed in the present study. A simple local heating multi-point dieless forming apparatus was fabricated to confirm the applicability of this new technology. This equipment was designed to be used as a heat source by inserting heating cartridges in the head of the multi-point punch. Cartridges were used for all individual punches. Using the manufactured equipment, the time to raise the temperature to the target temperature and the surface temperature of the punch head part in contact with the plate were measured. In addition, forming experiments were carried out according to sheet material temperature (100 ℃, 200 ℃, and 300 ℃) to obtain forming results for each condition. The applicability and feasibility of this technology were confirmed through experimental results.

Globally there is an increasing need to reduce the greenhouse gas emissions and increase the use of renewable sources of energy. The storage of solar thermal energy is a crucial aspect for implementing the solar energy for space heating in high latitudes, where solar insolation is high in summer and almost negligible in winter when the domestic heating demand is high. To use the solar heating during winter thermal energy storage is required. In this paper, equations representing the single U-tube heat exchanger are implemented in weak form edge elements in COMSOL Multiphysics(R) to speed up the calculation process for modelling of a borehole storage layout. Multiple borehole seasonal solar thermal energy storage scenarios are successfully simulated. After 5 years of operation, the most efficient simulated borehole pattern containing 168 borehole heat exchangers recovers 69% of the stored seasonal thermal energy and provides 971 MWh of thermal energy for heating in winter.

CFD analysis was performed to analyze the temperature distribution of the inner space of the curing house according to blocking the opening of the gang-form with a tent in case of concrete pouring and heat curing of the apartment house during the winter season. If the gang-form opening is closed with a tent during internal heating using a hot air blower in the winter, the internal temperature rises compared to the non-reserved due to air-tightness of the curing spaces, and uniform temperature distribution can be ensured. In addition, it is possible to increase curing efficiency by reducing the amount of heat supplied and shortening the heating time.
