1Cr-0.5Mo 강의 재질열화가 프레팅 피로거동에 미치는 영향 (The Effect of Degradation on the Fretting fatigue for 1Cr-0.5Mo Steel)

  • Fretting is a kind of surface degradation mechanism observed in mechanical components and structures. The fretting damage decreases in 50-70% of the plain fatigue strength. This may be observed in the fossil power plant and the nuclear power plant used in special environments and various loading conditions. The thermal degradation of material is observed when the heat resisting steel is exposed for long period time at the high temperature. In the present study, the degraded 1Cr-0.5Mo steel used for long period time at high temperature (about 515$^{\circ}C$) and artificially reheat-treated materials are prepared. These materials are used for evaluating an effect of thermal aging on the fretting fatigue behavior. Through the experiment, it is found that the fretting fatigue endurance limit of the reheat-treated 1Cr-0.5Mo steel decreased about 46% from the non-fretting fatigue endurance limit, while the fretting fatigue endurance limit of the degraded 1Cr-0.5Mo steel decreased about 53% from the non-fretting fatigue endurance limit. The maximum value of fatigue endurance limit difference is observed as 57%(244 MPa) between the fretting fatigue of degraded material and non-fretting fatigue of reheat-treated material. These results can be a basic data to a structural integrity evaluation of heat resisting steel considered to thermal degradation effect.

금형강의 마찰용접과 AE평가 및 고온 크리프 특성에 관한 연구 (A Study on Friction Welding and AE Evaluation for Cold Die Steel and High Temperature Creep Properties)

  • This paper deals with determining the proper friction welding condition and analyzing various mechanical properties of friction welded joints of the bladepart heat resisting steel(STD11) for cold die punch to the shank part alloy steel(SCM440). And the in-process real-time weld quality evaluation technique by acoustic emission during friction welding of STD11 to SCM440 steels with higher confidence and reliability has been much required even though it might be the first trial approach for developing it. Also, the high temperature properties of STD11-SCM440 weld were considered in this paper.

용융금속 프로브용 규조토 내열보호관의 제조 및 특성연구 (Study on Characteristics and Manufacture of Heat-Resisting Diatomite Protection Tube for Probe Used in Steelmaking Process)

  • 규조토를 주원료로 사용한 서로 다른 조성비의 세라믹 슬러리를 압출성형하여 내열보호관을 제조하고, 기계적 강도, 미세구조, 탄소분석을 하였다. 입도가 $50\~100\;{\mu}m$ 다공성 규조토를 $60wt\%$로 고정하고, 조성물 변수로써 유$\cdot$무기바인더로 silica sol$(4.3\~7.3\;wt\%)$, CMC(Sodium CarboxyMethyl Cellulose $(6\~9\;wt\%)$) 및 paper powder$(4.7\~7.7\;wt\%)$$1\;wt\%$씩 변화시켜 최적의 배합비를 얻었다. 시편의 특성을 조사한 결과, 규조토 $60\;wt\%$에 silica sol $5.3\;wt\%$, CMC $7\;wt\%$를 첨가하였을 경우, 꺽임강도 7.12 MPa, 탄성율 1090 MPa, 압축강도 1.47 MPa, 탄소 $2.3\;wt\%$ 이하로 철강산업에서의 온도$\cdot$성분측정 및 sample 채취를 할 수 있는 용융금속 프로브용 규조토 내열보호관을 제조할 수 있었다.

크리프-피로 손상된 페라이트기 9Cr 내열강의 미세조직 발달과 자기적 특성 (Microstructural Evolution and Magnetic Property of Creep-Fatigued Ferritic 9Cr Heat-Resisting Steel)

  • 보자력 측정을 통하여 페라이트기 9Cr-1Mo-V-Nb 내열강의 크리프-피로변형 동안 미세조직의 변화를 평가하였다. 크리프-피로시험은 $550\;^{\circ}C$에서 각각 인장유지시간을 60초와 600초로 하여 수행 하였다. 보자력은 파단 전까지 감소하였고 경도는 파단 시까지 지속적으로 감소하였다. 크리프-피로 수명소비율이 증가함에 따라서 $M_{23}C_6$ 탄화물은 오스트왈드 성장기구를 따라서 조대화가 나타났지만 MX 탄질화물은 $550\;^{\circ}C$에서 안정하기 때문에 조대화가 나타나지 않았다. 마르텐사이트 래스 폭은 래스경계에서의 전위회복으로 인해 증가하였다. 보자력은 전위, 석출물 그리고 마르텐사이트 래스경계와 같은 미세조직적 특성에 영향을 받게 되며 이를 미세조직변화와 관련하여 이해하였다. 결과적으로, 본 연구는 페라이트기 9Cr-1Mo-V-Nb 내열강의 크리프-피로변형 동안 미세조직의 변화와 손상 정도를 보자력을 통하여 평가하는 것을 제안하였다.

터보펌프 소재의 기계적 물성치 검토에 관한 연구 (Study on the Mechanical Property of Turbopump Material)

  • The study was performed to search on alternative material for turbopump parts made of Russian material by analyzing and comparing chemical and mechanical material properties. Iron base material was generally used for turbopump. This material can be categorized into stainless steel and heat resisting steel by quantity of additional elements. Each steel was also classified into austenite steel, ferrite steel, and martensite steel. Alternative materials for turbopump inducer, impeller and casing are chosen by JIS SUS 631 and 321 as a result of this study. Because the material of Russian turbopump turbine may be developed by Russia itself, alternative material can be hardly found. However, Inconel 718 for turbine material is thought to be proper in the aspect of hardness considering general use of this material for turbopump turbine in Japan and France.

T형 강관 용접 이음부의 잔류응력 생성기구에 관한 연구 (A Study on the Production Mechanisms of Residual Stress in Welded T-joint of Steel Pipe Member)

  • Steel members have advantages of resisting torsion and axial compression. In design, residual stresses at the welded joint of T-shape steel pipes are one of the most important points to be considered. In this paper, characteristics of residual stresses of welded joints are clarified by carrying out 3D non-steady heat conduction analysis and 3D thermal elastic-plastic FE-analysis. According to the results, the production mechanism of residual stresses at the welded joint of T-shape steel pipe is clarified. In this paper, circumferential stresses depended on thermal histories but axial and radial stresses were more dependent on geometrical shape than thermal histories. Residual stresses in the axial direction on the lower part of pipe member were tensile, controlled by geometrical shape. However, in case of middle part, residual stresses in all the directions were controlled by thermal histories.

유지시간 효과를 고려한 12Cr 내열강의 열피로 및 저주기 피로 특성 (Thermal-Mechanical and Low Cycle Fatigue Characteristics of 12Cr Heat Resisting Steel with Hold Time Effects)

  • Isothermal and thermal-mechanical fatigue characteristics of 12Cr heat resisting steel used for high temperature applications were investigated including hold time effects. Isothermal low cycle fatigue test at $600^{\circ}C$ and in-phase, out-of-phase thermal-mechanical fatigue test at 350 to $600^{\circ}C$ were conducted using smooth cylindrical hollow specimen under strain-control with total strain ranges from 0.006 to 0.015. Regardless of thermal-mechanical and isothermal fatigue tests, cyclic softening behavior was observed and much more pronounced in the thermal-mechanical fatigue tests with hold times due to the stress relaxation during the hold time. The phase difference between temperature and strain in thermal-mechanical fatigue tests resulted in significantly shorter fatigue life for out-of-phase compared to in-phase. The differences in fatigue lives were dependent upon the magnitudes of plastic strain ranges and mean stresses. During the hold time in the strain-controlled fatigue tests, the increase in the plastic strain range and the stress relaxation were observed. It appeared that the increase in plastic strain range per cycle and the introduction of creep damage made important contributions to the reduction of thermal-mechanical fatigue life with hold time, and the life reduction tendency was more remarkable in the in-phase than in the out-of-phase thermal-mechanical fatigue. Isothermal fatigue tests performed under the combination of fast and slow strain rates at $600^{\circ}C$ showed that the fatigue life decreased as the strain rate and frequency decreased,especially for the low strain ranges.

점용접 조건에 의한 연강의 미세조직 및 기계적특성에 관한 연구 (The Study on Microstructures and Mechanical Properties of Mild Steel Joined with Various Spot Welding Conditions)

  • Spot welding, namely a kind of electric resisting welding has been used widely in field of automobile and aircraft industries because of easiness to apply. Specimens used in this study was a mild steel of 1.2mm thickness and the electrode was a Cu-Cr alloy of 6mm diameter. The surface sheared of specimens after testing of tensile shear was observed by SEM(scanning electron microscope) after ultrasonic cleaning for 10min., and microstructures and grain size of all specimens were measured with using of O.M.(Optical microscope). By the means of measurement and observations of tensile shear load, fatigue strength and share surface, the weldability of spot welding was evaluated. When tensile shearing testing, fracture starting point in all specimens was took place at the bond between HAZ(Heat affected zone) and nugget. With increasing in number of layers, fatigue strength was decreased. With increasing in electric current, grain size in the HAZ became more fine.

  • This study was carried out to investigate mechanical properties o major part for agricultural machinery in Korea. The results are as follows ; 1. The mechanical Properties for heat resisting steel bars, alumium alloy castings, carbon steel for machine structural use, chromium molybdenum steels, high strength brass castings and carbon tool steels are proper for Korean standard. 2. The mechanical properties fir spring steels used to mould board, share of plow and blade of rotary are not suitable to Korean standard. Ⅰ think that a counterplan for quality rising is necessary such as supply of good quality materials and improvement of new materials in Korean agricultural machinery.

  • 에너지 변환설비와 관련된 기계구조물의 내열재료는 $350^{\circ}C{\sim}550^{\circ}C$의 온도범위에서 장시간 사용되는데 이때 조직의 결정입계에는 불순물 원소(P, Sn, Sb등)의 편석과 탄화물의 석출 등으로 인하여 재료의 취화 현상이 발생되고, 그로 인해 입계강도의 저하가 초래된다. 따라서 노후화된 고온설비의 안전성 및 효율적인 운전조건을 확보하고, 취성파괴 방지를 위해서는 취화손상의 정량적 평가는 매우 중요하다. 그러나 가동중인 고온설비에서 파괴시험을 위한 대량의 시험편채취가 거의 불가능한 경우가 대부분이므로 비파괴적인 시험방법이 요구된다. 본 연구에서는 인공시효열처리된 2.25Cr-1Mo강의 비파괴적인 취화손상도 평가를 위해 적정 부식환경하에서 전기화학적 분극시험 방법에 의한 최적의 평가인자를 조사하였다. 또한 전기화학 시험결과들은 준비파괴시험인 SP시험에 의한 취화도 평가결과와 비교되었다.
