수직 진동을 이용한 가열된 고체표면 위 증발하는 액적의 내부유동 제어연구 (Study of the Internal Flow and Evaporation Characteristic Inside a Water Droplet on a Vertical Vibrating Hydrophobic Surface)

  • 가열된 표면에서의 액적은 일반적으로 내부에 마랑고니 유동이 발생하고, 이는 불균일한 침전물 패턴 형상을 구성하게 된다. 본 연구는 마랑고니 유동을 가시화하고, 수직진동을 사용해서 이를 제어하는 것을 주 목적으로 한다. 액적이 증발하는 동안, 액적의 접촉각 변화와 부피변화를 실험적으로 알 수 있었고, PIV(Particle Image Velocimetry) 실험 장치를 이용하여, 평판 온도별 마랑고니 유동의 내부 유동의 흐름을 가시화하였다. 그리고 평판에 각 주파수별 수직진동을 가해주는 실험을 진행하여, 그 결과 마랑고니 유동의 유동 방향과 수직진동의 유동 방향이 서로 반대인 것을 확인할 수 있었다. 마지막으로 증발하는 액적에 수직진동을 가해줌으로써, 액적의 하단부분에서 내부유동의 흐름변화를 관찰하였다. 마랑고니유동에 의해 발생하는 내부유동 방향과 수직진동으로 발생하는 내부유동의 방향이 서로 반대 방향이므로 가열된 평판에 진동을 가해주었을 때 액적 내부유동의 흐름이 변화가 발생하였고, 이는 곧 불균일한 침전물 패턴이 억제된 것을 증발 후 침전물의 패턴형상을 통해 확인할 수 있었다.

UV레이저를 이용한 Cr 박막의 어블레이션 (The UV Laser Ablation of Cr film on Glass Substrate)

  • In order to understand the removal mechanism and seek the optimal conditions. KrF excimer laser ablation of Cr films on glass substrates is investigated. The surface morphology of the laser-irradiated spot is examined by SEM. The measured single-shot ablation rate is found to be about two times the result of numerical analysis based on a surface vaporization model and heat conduction theory. Surface morphology examination indicates that the Cr film is removed by the sequence of melting-surface vaporization-,melt expulsion by plasma recoil and that the outmost ripple of the diffraction pattern gives a strong effect on the morphology of molten Cr during the melting and vaporization processes. To seek the optimal process parameters for micro patterning morphological investigation is carried out experimentally on samples having different chromium film thicknesses. Optimal processing conditions are determined to enhance the accuracy and quality of thin film removal for micro patterning.

Assessment of Voigt and LRVE models for thermal shock analysis of thin FGM blade: A neutral surface approach

  • The present work is an attempt to develop a simple and accurate finite element formulation for the assessment of thermal shock/thermally induced vibrations in pretwisted and tapered functionally graded material thin (FGM) blades obtained from Voigt and local representative volume elements (LRVE) homogenization models, based on neutral surface approach. The neutral surface of the FGM blade does not coincide with its mid-surface. A finite element model (FEM) is developed using first-order shear deformation theory (FSDT) and the FGM turbine blade is modelled according to the shallow shell theory. The top and the bottom layers of the FGM blade are made of pure ceramic and pure metal, respectively and temperature-dependent material properties are functionally graded in the thickness direction, the position of the neutral surface also depends on the temperature. The material properties are estimated according to two different homogenization models viz., Voigt or LRVE. The top layer of the FGM blade is subjected to high temperature and the bottom surface is either thermally insulated or kept at room temperature. The solution of the nonlinear profile of the temperature in the thickness direction is obtained from the Fourier law of heat conduction in the unsteady state. The results obtained from the present FEM are compared with the benchmark examples. Next, the effect of angle of twist, intensity of thermal shock, variable chord and span and volume fraction index on the transient response due to thermal shock obtained from the two homogenization models viz., Voigt and LRVE scheme is investigated. It is shown that there can be a significant difference in the transient response calculated by the two homogenization models for a particular set of material and geometric parameters.

지중온도 변화 예측을 위한 지표면 경계조건 검토 (Assessment of Surface Boundary Conditions for Predicting Ground Temperature Distribution)

  • 지반의 동결현상은 일반적으로 대기와 지반의 온도차이로 발생하는 열흐름에 의해, 지반에 존재하는 물이 동결되어 지반의 물리적 성질이 변하는 현상을 일컫는다. 동결현상 해석에 필요한 지중온도 변화는 크게 대기와 지반의 경계층에서 발생하는 열유동과 지중 내에서 흙을 구성하는 성분들의 열전도 현상으로 설명할 수 있다. 따라서 지표면의 경계조건과 지반의 열적 특성은 동결지반 온도분포 해석에 중요한 인자들이다. 지표면 경계조건은 대기온도, 지표의 식생상태, 토질조건을 포함한 간편상수법들이 제시되어 있다. 대기온도 변화에 따른 지표의 열전달을 설명하는 대표적인 열물성 값은 지표면에서의 n-factor와 대류 열전달계수이다. 본 연구에서는 대기와 지반의 경계층을 해석하는데 필요한 지표면 n-factor와 대류 열전달계수의 적용성을 분석하고자 실내실험을 수행 하였다. 실내실험 결과를 토대로 상용 수치해석 프로그램인 TEMP/W를 이용하여 각각의 경계층 조건에 따른 지중온도 변화를 해석하고 실내실험을 통해 측정된 온도 데이터와 비교하였다. 결론적으로 n-factor보다 지표면 대류 열전달계수를 적용한 수치 해석 모델이 실내실험 결과와 유사하였다.

냉.온열의 반복 자극이 전립선 내부의 온도 분포에 미치는 영향 (The Effects of Warm and Cold Stimulations on the Temperature Distribution in the Prostate)

  • 가온 프로브를 사용하여 직장을 통한 온열치교법이 비침습적 전립선치료의 한 방법으로 사용되고 있으나 직장벽 내에서의 과도한 온도에 의한 가열은 장점막의 손상을 입힐 뿐만 아니라 전립선 전체를 적절한 온도까지 가열하기가 어렵다고 알려져 있다. 따라서 전립선과 온열치료 시스템 사이에서 일어나는 열전달 메카니즘에 관한 보다 정확한 이해가 요구된다. 본 연구에서는 전립선 표면에 가해진 냉.온 자극이 전립선 내부의 온도 분포에 미치는 영향을 수치해석을 이용하여 검토하였다. 유한체적 프로그램인 "FLUENT"를 사용하여 비정상상태의 열전도방정식을 해석하여 전립선 내의 시간에 따른 온도분포를 고찰하고, 가열 및 냉각시간, 가열 및 냉각온도 등이 전립선 내부의 온도분포와 온열효과가 전달되는 영역을 규명하였다. 온열 치료법(40~45$^{\circ}C$)에 의해 온열효과가 나타나는 전립선의 내부 영역을 가시화하고, 가열/냉각의 반복 자극이 전립선의 온도분포에 미치는 영향을 조사한 결과 통상적인 온열 치료법에 의한 온열효과는 전립선의 낮은 열전도도의 영향에 의해 전립선의 일부 영역에만 도달되는 한계를 보였다. 가열/냉각의 냉.온 자극을 반복하면서 열적 자극효과를 고려한 냉.온 치료시스템을 개발하기 위하여 냉.온 자극 온도와 시간이 전립선 내부에 미치는 열전달 메카니즘을 고찰하여 원하는 자극주기와 전립선 내부 온도자극 정도를 설정하기 위한 유효한 자극패턴을 제시할 수 있는 기초자료를 획득하였다. 또한, 전립선 조직내부를 통과하는 혈액의 유동이 조직의 온도분포 및 열전달에 미치는 영향을 검토한 결과 냉온 자극 강도에 큰 영향을 미치지 않을 것으로 확인되었다. 이러한 결과는 냉온자극에 의한 전립선치료기의 자극프로브의 형상 설계와 가열에 의한 온열 효과 및 가열/냉각의 반복에 의한 열자극 효과를 동시에 얻을 수 있는 자극시스템을 개발하는 데에 유용하게 사용할 수 있으리라 사료된다.

익수자 체온 저하에 미치는 팽창식 구명동의의 단열효과 수치 분석 (Thermal Insulation Effect of Inflatable Life Vest on the Drowned Individual estimated by Numerical Analysis)

  • 해상 사고에 의한 익수자는 저체온증에 의한 사망 위험에 노출되어 있다. 구명 동의 등을 착용함으로써 부력은 유지할 수 있으나 해수의 낮은 온도에 의한 신체의 열손실은 짧은 시간 내에 체온을 하강시키고 그에 따른 저체온증 사망이 우려된다. 전통적인 구명 동의는 고체형 부력체를 사용하여 부력을 향상 시키고 있으나, 구명 동의에 공기를 채움으로써 부력 및 체온 보존 효과를 얻을 수 있을 것으로 판단된다. 본 연구는 고체형 충진재를 이용한 기존의 비 팽창형 구명 동의와 공기를 채운 팽창형 구명 동의의 단열 성능을 비교하고, 각각의 방법이 체온 변화에 미치는 영향을 정성적으로 평가하고자 한다. 먼저 열저항 모델을 이용한 대략적인 단열 성능의 비교를 실시하고, 유한요소법을 이용하여 Pennes의 신체 열전달 해석을 수행하여 시간에 따른 체온 변화를 수치적으로 검토하였다.

CPFS 내에서 일어나는 동적 열전도 현상을 해석하기 위한 수식 및 혼합알고리즘 개발 (Development of the model and the hybrid algorithm toy analyzing the dynamic heat conduction in the CPES system)

  • 본 연구는 원자력 발전소에 있는 방화벽의 케이블 관통부위에 설치된 CPFS(Cable Penetration Fire Stop)시스템 안에서 일어나는 동적열전달 현상을 3 차원으로 나타낼 수 있는 시험시뮬레이터에 사용될 수학적 모델과 수치계산 알고리즘의 개발에 관한 것이다. CPFS 내에서 일어나는 열전도 현상을 나타내는 지배방정식은 주어진 조건들 하에서 포물선형 편미분방정식(Parabolic PDE)으로 나타난다. 문제를 단순화하기 위해 열의 흐름을 두 성분으로 나누었다 즉, 케이블과 평행한 선을 따라서 일어나는 열전도와 벽면과 평행한 평면 위에서 일어나는 열전도로 나누었다. 먼저 선을 따라 일어나는 동적 열전도 현상을 나타내는 PDE를 연속과완화(SOR: Successive Over-Relaxation)를 적용하여 유한한 불연속점들에 대한 연립 상미분방정식(ODE)으로 전환했고, 그 연립방정식은 ODE Solver 를 이용하여 풀 수 있었다. 둘째로, 각 불연속 점에 위치한 평면 위에서 일어나는 열전도를 계산하기 위해서, 유한요소의 합을 근사식으로 이용하여 PDE를 ODE로 전환해서 계산하는 유한요소법(Finite Element Method)이 이용된다. 여기서 시간과 공간의 함수 T(x, y, z, t)인 온도는 각 선의 점들과 각 평면의 요소들에 대해서 일정한 시간간격으로 초기온도와 경계온도를 업데이트하여 계산을 반복한다. 이러한 일련의 계산결과를 바탕으로 CPFS 시스템 내에서의 온도분포의 동적인 변화를 해석한다. 결론적으로 관통하는 케이블이 CPFS 시스템의 온도분포에 매우 중요한 역할을 한다는 것을 알 수 있다. 시뮬레이션 결과는 CPFS 내의 온도분포를 쉽게 이해할 수 있도록 3 차원 그래픽으로 나타냈으며, 상용소프트웨어 FEMLAB 으로 계산한 결과와 비교해서 개발된 모델과 계산 알고리즘의 정당성을 보였다. 맞이하고 있음을 볼 수 있다. 국내광업이 21C 급변하는 산업환경에 적응하여 생존하기 위해서는 각종 첨단산업에서 요구하는 소량 다품종의 원료광물을 적기에 공급 할 수 있는 전문화된 기술력을 하루속히 확보해야 하며, 이를 위해 고품위의 원료광물 확보를 위한 탐사 및 개발을 적극 추진하고 가공기술의 선진화를 위해 선진국과의 기술제휴 등 자원산업 글로벌화 정책이 절실히 요구되고 있음을 알 수 있다. 또한 삶의 질을 향상시키려는 현대인의 가치관에 부합하기 위해서는 각종 소비제품의 원료를 제공하는 광업의 본래 목적 이외에도 자연환경 훼손을 최소화하며 개발 할 수밖에 없는 구조적인 어려움에 직면할 수밖에 없다. 이처럼 국내광업이 안고 있는 여러 가지 난제들을 극복하기 위해서는 업계와 정부가 합심하여 국내광업 육성의 중요성을 재인식하고 새로운 마음가짐으로 관련 정책을 수립 일관성 있게 추진해 나가야 할 것으로 보인다.의 연구 결과를 요약하면 다음과 같다. 첫째, 브랜드 이미지와 서비스 품질과의 관계에서 브랜드이미지는 서비스 품질의 선행변수가 될 수 있음을 증명하였으며 4개 요인의 이미지 중 사풍이미지를 제외한 영업 이미지, 제품 이미지, 마케팅 이미지가 서비스 품질에 영향을 미치고 있음을 알 수 있다. 둘째, 지각된 서비스 품질과 가격 수용성과의 관계에서, 서비스 품질은 최소 가격에 신뢰서비스 요인에서 정의 영향을 미치고 있으나 부가서비스, 환경서비스에서는 역의 영향을 미침을 알수 있고, 최대 가격에 있어서는 욕구서비스 요인은 정의 영향을 미치지만 부가서비스의 경우에는 역의 영향을 미치고 있음을 알 수 있다. 셋째, 서비스품질과 재 방문 의도와의 관계에 있어서 서비스품질은 재 방문 의도에 영향을 미침을 알 수 있다. 따라서 브랜드 이미지는 서비스품질의 선행변수가 될 수 있으며, 서비스품질은 가격 수용성과 재방문 의도에 영향을 미치고 있음을 알 수

  • $Sr_{1-X}M_XFeO_{3-y}$ 계에서 (M=Ca), x=0.1, 0.2, 0.3, 0.4, 0.5에 대응하는 페로브스카이드계 고용체를 공기중, 1473K에 18시간 동안 열처리하여 합성하였다. X-선회절분석 결과 모든 고용체는 단순 입방정계를 나타내며, x=0.3까지는 x값의 증가에 따라 단위세포의 부피가 감소하고, x=0.4 이후에는 급격히 증가한다. 모어염 분석에 의하여 각각의 조성에 대한 $Fe^{4-}$ 이온의 몰비($\tau$값), 산소공위의 양(y값) 및 비화학양론적 화학식을 결정하였다. TG/DTA 실험(온도범위:300~1173K) 결과 x=0.1, 0.2인 시료는 3-y값이 감소하며, 냉각시 3-y값이 거의 가역적인 증가 경향을 보였다. $x{\geq}0.3$인 시료는 가역적인 무게의 변화를 보이지 않았으며, 냉각과정에서 3-y값은 거의 2.5를 유지하였다. 상대적으로 낮은 온도범위에서 모든 시료의 전기전도도 값은 반도성 범위에서 변화하였다. 그리고 일정한 온도에서의 전도도는 x값의 증가에 따라 감소하였다. 본 훼라이트 계의 전도도 메카니즘은 혼합원자가 상태 사이의 전도성 전자의 건너뜀 모형으로 제안할 수 있을 것이다. 고온에서 각 시료의 전도성은 금속성으로 변화하였다.

Sensory Information Processing

  • The wall shear stress in the vicinity of end-to end anastomoses under steady flow conditions was measured using a flush-mounted hot-film anemometer(FMHFA) probe. The experimental measurements were in good agreement with numerical results except in flow with low Reynolds numbers. The wall shear stress increased proximal to the anastomosis in flow from the Penrose tubing (simulating an artery) to the PTFE: graft. In flow from the PTFE graft to the Penrose tubing, low wall shear stress was observed distal to the anastomosis. Abnormal distributions of wall shear stress in the vicinity of the anastomosis, resulting from the compliance mismatch between the graft and the host artery, might be an important factor of ANFH formation and the graft failure. The present study suggests a correlation between regions of the low wall shear stress and the development of anastomotic neointimal fibrous hyperplasia(ANPH) in end-to-end anastomoses. 30523 T00401030523 ^x Air pressure decay(APD) rate and ultrafiltration rate(UFR) tests were performed on new and saline rinsed dialyzers as well as those roused in patients several times. C-DAK 4000 (Cordis Dow) and CF IS-11 (Baxter Travenol) reused dialyzers obtained from the dialysis clinic were used in the present study. The new dialyzers exhibited a relatively flat APD, whereas saline rinsed and reused dialyzers showed considerable amount of decay. C-DAH dialyzers had a larger APD(11.70$\pm$1.32mmHg/min)compared to CF dialyzers(4.32$\pm$0.55mmHg/min)(p<0.05). However, there was no observable difference in the UFR between the two dialyzers. Neither APD nor UFR showed any significant increase with an increasing number of reuses for up to more than 20reuses. A substantial number of failures observed in APD(larger than 20mmHe/min)on the reused dialyzers(2 out of 40 CP and S out 26 C-DAK) were attributed to the Possible damage on the fibers. The CF 15-11 HFDs which failed APD test did not show changes in the UFR compared to normal dialyzers indicating that APD is a more sensitive test than UFR test to evaluate the integrity of the fibers. 30527 T00401030527 ^x For quantitative measurement of reflected light from a clinical diagnostic strip, a prototype old reflectance photometer was designed. The strip loader and cassette were made to obtain more accurate reflectance parameters. The strip was illuminated at 45˚c through optical fiber and the intensity of reflected light was determined at rectanguLat angle using a photodiode. The kubelka-munk coefficient and reflection optical density were determined ar four different wavelengths(500, 550, 570 and 610nm) for blood glucose strip. For higher concentration than 300mg/41 about glucose, a saturation state of abforbance was observed at 500, 550 and 570nm. The mice were divided into two groups. One group was injected with Photofrin II, intravenously (2.5mg/kg body weight). The other group received no Photofrin II. Mice from both groups were irradialed for approximately 15 minutes at 100, 300, or 500 mW/cm2 with the argon (488nm/514.5 nm), dye(628nm) and gold vapor (pulsed 628 nm) laser light. A photosensitizer behaved as an added absorber. Under our experimental conditions, the presence of Photolfrin II increased surface temperature by at least 40% and the temperature rise due to 300 mW/cm2 irradiation exceeded values for hyperthermia. Light and temperature distributions with depth were estimated by a computer model. The purpose of this study is to identify major geometrical differences between Korean femurs 3nd others that we believe belong to Caucasians so that we would be able to get insights into the femoral component design that fits Asians including Koreans. We utilized computerized tomography (CT) images of femurs extracted from cadavers. The CT images were transformed into bitmap data by using a film scanner, and then analyzed by using a commercially available software called Image v.1.0 and a Macintosh IIci computer.The resulting data were compared with already published data. The major results show that the geometry of the Korean femurs is significantly different from that of Caucasians: (1) the anteversion angle and the canal flare index are greater by the amount of approximately 8˚ and 0.5, respectively, (2) the shape of the isthmus cross section is more round, and (3) the distance between the teaser trochanter and the proximal border of the isthmus is shelter by about 15 mm. The results suggested that the femoral component suitable for Asians should be different from the currently-used components designed and manufactured mostly by European or American companies. 30537 T00401030537 ^x It is well known that nonlinear propagation characteristics of the wave in the tissue may give very useful information for the medical diagnoisis. In this paper, a new method to detect nonlinear propagation characteristics of the internal vibration in the tissue for the low frequency mechanical vibration by using bispectral analysis is proposed. In the method, low frequency vibration of f0( = 100Hz) is applied on the surface of the object, and the waveform of the internal vibration x (t) is measured from Doppler frequency modulation of silmultaneously transmitted probing ultrasonic waves. Then, the bispectra of the signal x (t) at the frequencies (f0, f0) and (f0, 2f0) are calculated to estimate the nonlinear propagation characteristics as their magnitude ratio, w here since bispectrum is free from the gaussian additive noise we can get the value with high S/N. Basic experimental system is constructed by using 3.0 MHz probing ultrasonic waves and the several experiments are carried out for some phantoms.   • The wall shear stress in the vicinity of end-to end anastomoses under steady flow conditions was measured using a flush-mounted hot-film anemometer(FMHFA) probe. The experimental measurements were in good agreement with numerical results except in flow with low Reynolds numbers. The wall shear stress increased proximal to the anastomosis in flow from the Penrose tubing (simulating an artery) to the PTFE: graft. In flow from the PTFE graft to the Penrose tubing, low wall shear stress was observed distal to the anastomosis. Abnormal distributions of wall shear stress in the vicinity of the anastomosis, resulting from the compliance mismatch between the graft and the host artery, might be an important factor of ANFH formation and the graft failure. The present study suggests a correlation between regions of the low wall shear stress and the development of anastomotic neointimal fibrous hyperplasia(ANPH) in end-to-end anastomoses. 30523 T00401030523 ^x Air pressure decay(APD) rate and ultrafiltration rate(UFR) tests were performed on new and saline rinsed dialyzers as well as those roused in patients several times. C-DAK 4000 (Cordis Dow) and CF IS-11 (Baxter Travenol) reused dialyzers obtained from the dialysis clinic were used in the present study. The new dialyzers exhibited a relatively flat APD, whereas saline rinsed and reused dialyzers showed considerable amount of decay. C-DAH dialyzers had a larger APD(11.70${\pm}$1.32mmHg/min)compared to CF dialyzers(4.32${\pm}$0.55mmHg/min)(p<0.05). However, there was no observable difference in the UFR between the two dialyzers. Neither APD nor UFR showed any significant increase with an increasing number of reuses for up to more than 20reuses. A substantial number of failures observed in APD(larger than 20mmHe/min)on the reused dialyzers(2 out of 40 CP and S out 26 C-DAK) were attributed to the Possible damage on the fibers. The purpose of this study is to identify major geometrical differences between Korean femurs 3nd others that we believe belong to Caucasians so that we would be able to get insights into the femoral component design that fits Asians including Koreans. We utilized computerized tomography (CT) images of femurs extracted from cadavers. The CT images were transformed into bitmap data by using a film scanner, and then analyzed by using a commercially available software called Image v.1.0 and a Macintosh IIci computer.The resulting data were compared with already published data. The major results show that the geometry of the Korean femurs is significantly different from that of Caucasians: (1) the anteversion angle and the canal flare index are greater by the amount of approximately 8˚ and 0.5, respectively, (2) the shape of the isthmus cross section is more round, and (3) the distance between the teaser trochanter and the proximal border of the isthmus is shelter by about 15 mm.
