Purpose: This study analyzed the retention factors of Korean community health practitioners who sustained over 20 years based on a multi-dimensional framework. This study suggests global implications for nurses working in rural or remote areas, even during a worldwide pandemic. Methods: The participants were 16 Korean community health practitioners who worked in rural or remote locations for over 20 years. This study identified nurses' key retention factors contributing to long service in rural and remote areas. This is a qualitative study based on the narrative method and analysis was conducted using grounded theory. A semi-structured questionnaire was conducted based on the following: the life flow of the participants' first experience, episodes during the work experience, and reflections on the past 20 years. Results: First, personal 'financial needs' and 'callings' were motivation-related causal conditions. The adaptation of environment-work-community was the contextual condition leading to intervening conditions, building coping strategies by encountering a lifetime crisis. The consequences of 'transition' and 'maturation' naturally occurred with chronological changes. The unique factors were related to the 'external changes' in the Korean primary health system, which improved the participants' social status and welfare. Conclusion: Considering multi-dimensional retention factors was critical, including chronological (i.e., historical changes) and external factors (i.e., healthcare systems), to be supportive synchronously for rural nurses. Without this, the individuals working in the rural areas could be victimized by insecurity and self-commitment. Furthermore, considering the global pandemic, the retention of nurses is crucial to prevent the severity of isolation in rural and remote areas.

The new crown pneumonia (COVID-19) has become a global epidemic. The disease has spread to most countries and poses a challenge to the healthcare system. Contact tracing technology is an effective way for public health to deal with diseases. Many experts have studied traditional contact tracing and developed digital contact tracking. In order to better understand the field of contact tracking, it is necessary to analyze the development of contact tracking in the field of computer science by bibliometrics. The purpose of this research is to use literature statistics and topic analysis to characterize the research literature of contact tracking in the field of computer science, to gain an in-depth understanding of the literature development status of contact tracking and the trend of hot topics over the past decade. In order to achieve the aforementioned goals, we conducted a bibliometric study in this paper. The study uses data collected from the Scopus database. Which contains more than 10,000 articles, including more than 2,000 in the field of computer science. For popular trends, we use VOSviewer for visual analysis. The number of contact tracking documents published annually in the computer field is increasing. At present, there are 200 to 300 papers published in the field of computer science each year, and the number of uncited papers is relatively small. Through the visual analysis of the paper, we found that the hot topic of contact tracking has changed from the past "mathematical model," "biological model," and "algorithm" to the current "digital contact tracking," "privacy," and "mobile application" and other topics. Contact tracking is currently a hot research topic. By selecting the most cited papers, we can display high-quality literature in contact tracking and characterize the development trend of the entire field through topic analysis. This is useful for students and researchers new to field of contact tracking ai well as for presenting our results to other subjects. Especially when comprehensive research cannot be conducted due to time constraints or lack of precise research questions, our research analysis can provide value for it.

This study focusses on the development of a motion-sensing smart leggings prototype with the help of a module that monitors motion using a fiber-type stretch sensor. Additionally, it acquires data on Electrocardiogram (ECG), respiration, and body temperature signals, for the development of smart clothing used in online exercise coaching and customized healthcare systems. The research process was conducted in the following order: 1) Fabrication of a fiber-type elastic strain sensor for motion monitoring, 2) Positioning and attaching the sensor, 3) Pattern development and three-dimensional (3D) design, 4) Prototyping 5) Wearability test, and 6) Expert evaluation. The 3D design method was used to develop an aesthetic design, and for sensing accurate signal acquisition functions, wearability tests, and expert evaluation. As a result, first, the selection or manufacturing of an appropriate sensor for the function is of utmost importance. Second, the selection and attachment method of a location that can maximize the function of the sensor without interfering with any activity should be studied. Third, the signal line selection and connection method should be considered, and fourth, the aesthetic design should be reflected along with functional verification. In addition, the selection of an appropriate material is important, and tests for washability and durability must be made. This study presented a manufacturing method to improve the functionality and design of smart clothing, through the process of developing a prototype of motion-sensing smart leggings.

최근 인간의 자세와 행동을 추적하는 행동 분석 연구가 활발해지고 있다. 특히 2017년 CMU에서 개발한 오픈소스인 오픈포즈(OpenPose)는 사람의 외모와 행동을 추정하는 대표적인 방법이다. 오픈포즈는 사람의 키, 얼굴, 손 등의 신체부위를 실시간으로 감지하고 추정할 수 있어 스마트 헬스케어, 운 동 트레이닝, 보안시스템, 의료 등 다양한 분야에 적용될 수 있다. 본 논문에서는 헬스장에서 사용자들이 가장 많이 운동하는 Squat, Walk, Wave, Fall-down 4개 동작을 오픈포즈기반 딥러닝인 DNN과 CNN을 이용하여 운동 동작 분류 방법을 제안한다. 학습데이터는 녹화영상 및 실시간으로 카메라를 통해 사용자의 동작을 캡처해서 데이터 셋을 수집한다. 수집된 데이터 셋은 OpenPose을 이용하여 전처리과정을 진행하고, 전처리과정이 완료된 데이터 셋은 본 논문에서 제안한 DNN 및 CNN 모델 이용하여 운동 동작 분류를 학습한다. 제안한 모델에 대한 성능 오차는 MSE, RMSE, MAE를 사용한다. 성능 평가 결과, 제안한 DNN 모델 성능이 제안한 CNN 모델보다 우수한 것으로 나타났다.

Purpose: This study explores the diffusion factors of corporate entrepreneurship among members of medical institutions. Methodology/Approach: The study explores the case of Granum Sinapis Center at Seoul St. Mary's Hospital, the first medical institution to establish a support organization for "innovation and start-up" as well as examines the changes in individual perceptions of participants in the institution's in-house contest. Among the 140 participants in the 2nd Contest held in 2022, seven participants were selected for interview in consideration of their job occupation and years of service. In-depth interviews were conducted for each individual. Findings: The participants applied for the contest under the direct and indirect influence of co-workers as well as compensatory factors. An individual's corporate entrepreneurial characteristics can be innate or acquired. The participants of the in-house contest had a positive experience in contrast to the existing organizational culture. The results reveal that emotional support from top and middle managers, along with the role of dedicated departments, can affect innovative behavior. Practical Implications: Contest participants reported personal growth, improved job satisfaction, and a change in perception of the organizational culture; they expressed their willingness to recommend. The results confirm the need to support such systems and shift focus to managerial (emotional) support and dedicated resources for developing individual entrepreneurship.

간세포암종은 만성 간질환과 간경변증을 동반하는 경우가 많고, 예후에 종양 인자 이외에도 잔존 간 기능이 주요한 영향을 미친다. 또한, 간세포암종에 대한 고위험인자를 가진 경우 특정한 영상 소견(예: 고혈관성)을 보이면, 조직검사 없이도 비침습적인 진단이 가능하다. 다른 고형암에서와 마찬가지로 수술적 절제, 방사선치료, 항암치료 등의 치료가 시행되기도 하지만, 간세포암종에서만 이루어진다고도 할 수 있는 간이식, 경동맥화학색전술, 고주파열치료술과 같은 치료 방법들이 시행되기도 한다. 종양의 다양성, 치료 방법의 다양성, 사회적 여건(의료 보건 체계, 의료 자원의 가용성 등) 등을 반영하며 여러 간세포암종 가이드라인들이 발표되어 왔으며, 각 가이드라인들은 여러 측면에서 유사하면서도 서로 상이하기도 하다. 본고에서는 다음의 간세포암종 진료 가이드라인들을 살펴보고, 가이드라인들의 특징과 앞으로 가이드라인에서 다루어야 할 부분 등에 대하여 논하고자 한다.

본 연구는 영상의학 분야에서 인공지능(AI) 기술 기반의 판독 보조 시스템의 'Time Behavior(시간반응성)' 속성을 측정하여 '성능 효율성'을 분석하였다. 의료 영상의 증가와 영상의학 전문의 수의 한계로 인해 인공지능(AI) 기술 기반의 솔루션이 증가하고 있으며, 관련된 연구가 많이 수행되고 있다. 하지만 대부분의 선행 연구가 인공지능의 진단 정확도에 초점을 맞췄다면, 본 연구는 Time Behavior의 중요성을 강조하여 수행하였다. 50개의 흉부 엑스레이 PA 이미지를 사용하여 측정한 결과, 평균 15.24초 만에 영상을 처리하여 높은 일관성과 안정성을 보여주었고, 이 처리 속도는 유명 글로벌 AI 플랫폼과 동등한 수준으로 영상의학과 워크플로우 효율성 부분에 크게 개선될 수 있는 가능성을 제시하였다. 앞으로 인공지능 기술이 영상의학 분야에서 큰 역할을 담당하여, 전반적인 의료 품질 향상과 효율성을 개선하는 데 도움이 될 것으로 기대한다.

Purpose: This study aimed to identify the main keyword, network structure, and main topics of the national petition related to "nursing" in South Korea. Methods: Data were gathered from petitions related to the national petition in Korea Blue House related to the topic "nursing" or "nurse" from August 17, 2017, to May 9, 2022. A total of 5,154 petitions were searched, and 995 were selected for the final analysis. Text network analysis and topic modeling were analyzed using the Netminer 4.5.0 program. Results: Regarding network characteristics, a density of 0.03, an average degree of 144.483, and an average distance of 1.943 were found. Compared to results of degree centrality and betweenness centrality, keywords such as "work environment," "nursing university," "license," and "education" appeared typically in the eigenvector centrality analysis. Topic modeling derived four topics: (1) "Improving the working environment and dealing with nursing professionals," (2) "requesting investigation and punishment related to medical accidents," (3) "requiring clear role regulation and legislation of medical and nonmedical professions," and (4) "demanding improvement of healthcare-related systems and services." Conclusion: This is the first study to analyze Korea's national petitions in the field of nursing. This study's results confirmed both the internal needs and external demands for nurses in South Korea. Policies and laws that reflect these results should be developed.

In the complex virtual environment of cyberspace, comprised of digital and communication networks, ensuring the security of information is being recognized as an ongoing challenge. The importance of 'Cyber Situation Awareness (CSA)' is being emphasized in response to this. CSA is understood as a vital capability to identify, understand, and respond to various cyber threats and is positioned at the heart of cyber security strategies from a defensive perspective. Critical industries such as finance, healthcare, manufacturing, telecommunications, transportation, and energy can be subjected to not just economic and societal losses from cyber threats but, in severe cases, national losses. Consequently, the importance of CSA is being accentuated and research activities are being vigorously undertaken. A systematic five-step approach to CSA is introduced against this backdrop, and a deep analysis of recent research trends, techniques, challenges, and future directions since 2019 is provided. The approach encompasses current situation and identification awareness, the impact of attacks and vulnerability assessment, the evolution of situations and tracking of actor behaviors, root cause and forensic analysis, and future scenarios and threat predictions. Through this survey, readers will be deepened in their understanding of the fundamental importance and practical applications of CSA, and their insights into research and applications in this field will be enhanced. This survey is expected to serve as a useful guide and reference for researchers and experts particularly interested in CSA research and applications.

Interprofessional education (IPE) fosters knowledge, skills, and attitudes related to interprofessional collaboration (IPC) for safe, quality patient care. In recent years, the importance of IPC has extended beyond the medical field to local community settings. However, IPE has only recently been introduced and has yet to become widespread. This study reviews the origin and development of IPE in Korean medical education by comparing it with established models in other countries that provide useful insights into future directions for IPE in Korea. Dedicated institutions led the IPE effort in other countries; however, IPE initiatives in Korea were mainly driven by individual professors' and medical schools' interest and commitment, without structural support systems. An important finding of this study is that the lack of awareness and organizational support within the medical education community resulted in the absence of a mandatory curriculum for IPE, as it was omitted from the accreditation standards. For more organized adoption and implementation of IPE in Korea, this study suggests the need to widely communicate the importance of IPE to the medical community and the public. It is also imperative to establish leadership capable of guiding IPE, share materials through trusted institutions with IPE experience, and include IPE in the accreditation standards. These steps are essential for actively implementing IPE and meeting societal healthcare needs in Korea.
