초등학생의 건강증진행위 실천에 관한 연구 (The Study of Performance of Health Promoting Behavior in Elementary School Students)

  • This study was the research of health promoting behavior of the 6th grade students of elementary school and general characteristics, health related characteristics and health promoting behavior following the health education were analysed. The performance of health promoting behavior related to the prevention of infectious diseases showed the highest score above all. The school, which received health education by the scheduled education course, home correspondence, and health broadcasting education, showed higher health promoting behavior performance after the health education. On the basis of the results of this study, health promotion program development is required to accomplish health promoting behavior among the elementary school students.

Perceived Health Status and Health Promoting Behaviors among University Students

  • Objectives: This study aimed to investigate the relationship among perceived health status, dietary habit and health promoting behaviors of university students. Methods: The subjects were 464 university students. Data were collected by using self-reported questionnaires. The results were analyzed using descriptive statistics, t-test, ANOVA, Pearson's correlation coefficient and multiple regression analysis with the PASW 18.0 program. Results: The mean score of perceived health status was 3.24, dietary habit was 2.85 and health promoting behaviors was 2.24. There were significant differences in perceived health status according to gender, BMI, exercise and stress. There were significant differences in dietary habit according to residence, monthly allowance, drinking alcohol, exercise, sleeping hours and stress. In addition there were significant differences in health promoting behaviors according to gender, residence, BMI, smoking and exercise. Also, perceived health status significantly positively correlated between dietary habit and health promoting behaviors. Conclusions: As the results of multiple regression analysis, the related factors of perceived health status of university students were exercise, stress and spiritual growth factor. Therefore, it is necessary to develop multiple health promoting programs considering characteristics of university students. And various strategies have been developed to increase the physical activity should be run.

  • This study has been done for the purpose of identifying performance of health promoting behavior and the variables affecting health promoting behavior in college students. 350 college students at D university in P city were chosen by cluster sampling. The data were collected by questionnaire from December 4 to December 20, 1996. The instruments used for this study included health promoting lifestyle, self-esteem, health locus of control and perceived health status. The data were analyzed by use of mean, ANOVA, Pearson correlation coefficient and stepwise multiple regression. The results are summarized as follows; 1. The average item score for the health promoting behavior was low at 2.49. In the sub-categories, the highest degree of performance was , 2.99, and the lowest degree was , 1.43. 2. There was no statistically significant difference between the mean for health promoting behavior of the female, 2.49 and that of the male, 2.48(t=-0.3664, p=.7143). But there was statistically significant difference among the mean for health promoting behavior classified by grade(F=3.67, p=.0126). 3. Performance of health promoting behavior was positively correlated with and , and negatively correlated with and . 4. 청소년의 건강증진 생활양식과 관련요인연구 (A Study on Influencing Factors in Health-promoting Lifestyle of Adolescents)

  • The purpose of this study were to define the degree of performance in health promoting lifestyle and to identify the variable related to performance in health promoting lifestyle of adolescents. The subjects of this study were 469 adolescents in the 4 high schools. The sample data were collected using a purposive sampling method from July 1 to July 27. The collected data were analysed by using descriptive statistics, Pearson's correlation coefficients, and stepwise multiple regression with SPSS PC+ program. The results of this research were as follows. First, The means of performance in the health promoting lifestyle of adolescents revealed total 2.478 ; harmonious relationships 3.045, regular diet 2.236, professional health management 1.332, sanitary life 2.910, self regulation 2.558, emotional support 2.696, healthy diet 2.408, rest and sleep 2.651, exercise and activity 2.491, self actualization 2.466, diet control 2.408. The factor with the highest degree of performance was the harmonious relationships, whereas the one with the lowest degrees was the professional health management. Second, the relationship between the degree of performance in health promoting lifestyle and its related variable were as follows. (1) Performance in the health promoting lifestyle was significantly correlated with self esteem, self efficacy, health conception, perceived health status, mother's health promoting lifestyle, mother's health conception. (2) The most important factor that affects performance in the health promoting lifestyle of adolescents was self esteem. The combination of self esteem, health conception, mother's health promoting lifestyle, self efficacy, perceived health status accounted for 45.2% of the variance in health promoting lifestyle of adolescents.

중학생의 건강정보이해능력과 건강증진행위 (Health Literacy and Health Promoting Behaviors in adolescents)

  • Purpose: The aims of this study were to identify health literacy and health promoting behaviors in adolescents and to examine the relationship between these variables. Methods: A descriptive correlational study design was used with self-administrated questionnaires. A total of 212 third-year middle school students in G province were conveniently sampled. Korea health literacy assessment tool-2, Korean functional health literacy test, and the health promoting lifestyle profile were used. Data analyses were performed using SPSS/WIN 21.0. Results: Linguistic health literacy and functional health literacy scores were $37.18{\pm}17.74$ and $11.86{\pm}2.77$, respectively. Health promoting behaviors was $2.95{\pm}0.34$. The relationships between linguistic health literacy and health promoting behaviors (r=.405, p<.001) and between functional health literacy and health promoting behaviors (r=.168, p<.001) showed statistically significant positive correlations. Linguistic health literacy was also positively related with functional health literacy (r=.196, p<.001) with statistical significance. Conclusion: The degree of health literacy of middle school students was somewhat low, but was significantly correlated with health promoting behaviors. To improve health promoting behaviors, there needs to be an increase in health literacy.

암예방 센터 건강검진자의 건강증진 생활양식 (Relationship Between Health Promoting Lifestyle and General Characteristics of the Person Undergoing Health Checkups in Cancer Prevention Center)

  • Purpose: The purpose of this study was to identify the relationship between health promoting lifestyle and general characteristics of the person undergoing health checkups in cancer prevention center. Method: A cross-sectional survey was used. This study has been done from February 1 to March 31, 2005 and the subjects of the study were 199 persons who had undergone health checkups in Cancer Prevention Center located in Seoul. Data were collected by using self reporting questionnaire on the health promoting lifestyle. The collected data were analyzed by using t-test, ANOVA, and Pearson's correlation coefficient. Result: The average score of performance in the health promoting lifestyle was 162.99(range of score is 60-240). There were significant differences in scores of health promoting lifestyle according of marital status, age, education and smoking. The score of health promoting lifestyle of the married group was higher than that of the single group. The score of health promoting lifestyle was higher in those aged 60-69 years than in those aged 20-29 years. As compared to college graduates the score of health promoting lifestyle was higher among those whose schooling is less than middle school and higher than a master`s program. The score of health promoting lifestyle was higher among non-smokers than among those who used a cigarette in their life time. There were no differences in scores of health promoting lifestyle according to sex, cancer family history, disease family history and drinking.There was positive relationship between age and health promoting lifestyle. Conclusion: Marital status, age, education and smoking affected Health Promoting Lifestyle of the person undergoing health checkups in Cancer Prevention Center.

여대생의 건강증진 생활양식 관련요인 (Factors related to Health Promoting Lifestyle in College women)

  • Purpose: This study was undertaken in order to examine the relationships of control, perceived health status, self-efficacy, social support, and demographic characteristics for a health promoting lifestyle in college women, and to determine the factors affecting a health promoting lifestyle of women in the early stage of adulthood. Method: There were 161 students from one university in K city. The instruments used for this study were a survey of general characteristics, a health promoting lifestyle (47 items), control (8 items), perceived health status (6 items), self-efficacy (17 items), and social support (18 items). The data analysis was done by use of mean, percentage, t-test, ANOVA, Pearson Correlation coefficients and stepwise regression with the SPSS Win (Version 10.0) program. Results: The results of this study are as follows : 1) The average item score for the health promoting lifestyle was low at 2.39. In the sub-categories, the highest degree of performance was interpersonal support (2.97), and the lowest degree was health responsibility (1.76). 2) In the relationship between social demographics and a health promoting lifestyle, there were significant differences in age, disease experience, and the family's disease experience. 3) Social support revealed only significant correlations with a health promoting lifestyle. 4) Social support was the highest factor that predicted a health promoting lifestyle in college women (15%). Social support, age and disease experience accounted for 20% in a health promoting lifestyle of college women.

  • Purpose: This study examined the relationships among menopausal symptom, self-efficacy, health promoting behaviors, and investigated factors affecting health promoting behaviors of teachers with middle-aged women experiencing menopause. Methods: From September to October 2012, a convenience sample of 252 subjects aged 40 to 60 years was recruited from 8 elementary schools, 3 middle schools and 5 high schools. The data analysis was done by ANOVA and stepwise multiple regression. Results: Menopausal symptom of subjects was slightly lower than general middle aged women and the average level of health promoting behaviors was similar to general middle aged women. Health promoting behaviors were differentiated by severity of menopausal symptom, not by menstruation state. Menopausal symptom was negatively related to health promoting behaviors. The most significant factor affecting health promoting behaviors was self efficacy (14.3%). The combination of self efficacy, menopausal symptom, and elementary school teachers accounted for 20.1% of health promoting behavior. Conclusion: When developing health promotion program for teachers with middle-aged women, such program should consider self-efficacy, menopausal symptom, and school type.

노인의 건강증진행위에 영향을 미치는 요인 : 건강개념과 가족지지 변수를 중심으로 (Factors Influencing Health Promoting Behavior in the Elderly People : Perceived Conception of Health and Family Support)

  • Purpose: The purpose of this study was to describe perceived conception of health, family support and health Promoting behavior; as well as to assess factors that influence health promoting behavior. Method: Study participants were 165 elderly people over the age of 65, living in C city. The instruments were Laffery's health concept scale, the family support scale by Kang, and the health promoting behavior scale by Walker et al. Results : 1. The scores for level of health concept ranged from 28 to 112, and had a mean score of 75.16. The scores for level of family support ranged from 11 to 55, and had a mean score of 41.55. The scores for health promoting behavior ranged from 40 to 160 with mean score of 98.07. For health promoting behavior the participants revealed that the most frequent practices were in nutrition, and the least frequent, in exercise. 2 Higher levels of health conception and family support were correlated with an improving level of health promoting behavior. 3. The factor most influencing health promoting behavior in elderly people was family support. Family support accounted for 11% of the variance in health promoting behavior. A combination of health conception, education level and dwelling pattern accounted for 23% of the variance in health promoting behavior. Conclusion : Perceived health conception and family support were identified as important variables for health promoting behavior in elderly people.

만성관절염 환자의 건강증진행위와 통증, 자아존중감, 가족지지 및 자기효능감과의 관계 (The Relationship among The Health Promoting Behavior, Pain, Self-esteem, Family Support and Self-efficacy in Patients with Chronic Arthritis)

  • Purpose: The purpose of this study was to examine the relationships among the health promoting behavior, pain, self-esteem, family support, self-efficacy in patients with chronic arthritis. Method: The data for this study were collected from February 19, 2003 to April 7, 2003. The subjects were 150 chronic arthritis patients who visited University Hospital in D City. The research instruments used in this study were HPLP II, Visual analogue scale, Self-esteem scale, Family support scale, Self-efficacy scale. In data analysis, SPSS PC ver 10.0 program was utilized and data were analyzed using descriptive statistics and t-test, ANOVA, Multiple Stepwise Regression and Pearson's correlation coefficient. Result: The average score of the pain, self-esteem, family support, self-efficacy, health promoting behavior was 5.38, 3.37, 4.29, 70.30, 2.68, respectively and the variable with the highest degree of it's subscale was interpersonal support(3.08), whereas the one with the lowest degree was exercise(1.66). There was a positive correlation(r=.327, p=.000) between the self-esteem and health promoting behavior. There was a positive correlation(r=.540, p=.000) between the family support and the self-efficacy and health promoting behavior. Family support, self-efficacy and marital status were significant factors to explain a variance of health promoting behavior in patients with chronic arthritis(51.6%). health promoting behavior. There was a positive correlation(r=.477, p= .000) between Conclusion: The health promoting behavior were positively correlated with self-esteem, family support and self-efficacy. These findings help to understand relationships among self-esteem, family support and self-efficacy in chronic arthritis patients. In addition, family support, self-efficacy and marital status were the mainly influencing factors of health promoting behavior. Among these variables family support was the most significant factor to predict a health promoting behavior. According to the results of this study, family support must be considered as a main factor in the nursing strategy for health promoting behavior of chronic arthritis patients.
