실내 충격소음 측정시스템 구현에 관한 연구 (A study of the measurement systems implementation for the interior impulse noise)

  • 본 연구의 목적은170dB 이상의 고충격 소음원에서 실내 충격소음을 측정 평가 할 수 있는 측정시스템 구축 방법을 제안하는데 있다. 이러한 목적을 달성하기 위하여 실내충격소음 측정시스템용 시험장을 설계 및 구현하고, 충격소음 측정용 마이크로폰, Head & Torso Simulator, Ear Simulator를 구성하였다. 충격소음 측정 시 정확한 측정을 위하여 3가지 측정방법을 동시에 측정할 수 있도록 구현하였으며, 정확성과 신뢰성을 위하여 3가지의 실내충격소음 측정값을 상호 비교하였다. 3가지 측정방법에 따른 최대 음압레벨과 옥타브 밴드 결과를 비교 분석함으로써 실내 충격소음의 주파수 특성에 따른 차이점을 확인하였다. 이러한 결과는 반사파의 영향에 의한 것으로 판단된다. 이에, 시험장의 크기를 변형하면서 측정할 수 있도록 실내 충격소음 측정시스템을 구현하였다. 본 시스템 구현을 통하여, 충격 소음원의 특징분석과 해당 주파수별 스펙트럼의 반사파 영향들을 파악할 수 있을 것이며, 향후, 실내 충격소음에 대한 데이터 획득 및 분석을 위하여 유용하게 활용될 수 있을 것으로 판단된다.

Relative HRTF를 이용한 입체음향 재생방법에 관한 연구 (A Study on Implementation of 3D sound generation System Using Relative HRTF)

  • 지금까지의 입체음향 재생 연구에서는 Dummy head 나 Head and Torso Simulator(HATS)를 사용한 측정 HRTF(Head-Related Transfer Function)를 사용하여 입체음향 재생 시스템을 설계해왔다. 하지만 이러한 시스템은 구현의 단순함에도 불구하고 계산량 증가로 인한 실시간 구현의 어려움과, 신호처리로 인한 음색의 변화 및 음질의 저하, 정면 정위의 어려움 등 많은 문제점을 내포하고 있었다. 본 연구팀이 제안하는 Relative HRTF는 인체의 가하학적 모델링을 통한 구조적 접근 방법으로 이러한 단점을 극복할 수 있는 새로운 HRTF 모델링 기법이다. 이는 신호처리 과정의 단순화를 통하여 실시간 구현과 음색의 변화를 극소화시키고 스피커 구동 방식에서도 적절히 사용될 수 있다. 또한 본 연구를 위하여 기존의 HRTF 측정 방법의 문제점을 개선한 HATS를 이용한 Blocked Ear Canal HRTF 측정 방법에 대해서도 소개한다.

A DNN-Based Personalized HRTF Estimation Method for 3D Immersive Audio

  • This paper proposes a new personalized HRTF estimation method which is based on a deep neural network (DNN) model and improved elevation reproduction using a notch filter. In the previous study, a DNN model was proposed that estimates the magnitude of HRTF by using anthropometric measurements [1]. However, since this method uses zero-phase without estimating the phase, it causes the internalization (i.e., the inside-the-head localization) of sound when listening the spatial sound. We devise a method to estimate both the magnitude and phase of HRTF based on the DNN model. Personalized HRIR was estimated using the anthropometric measurements including detailed data of the head, torso, shoulders and ears as inputs for the DNN model. After that, the estimated HRIR was filtered with an appropriate notch filter to improve elevation reproduction. In order to evaluate the performance, both of the objective and subjective evaluations are conducted. For the objective evaluation, the root mean square error (RMSE) and the log spectral distance (LSD) between the reference HRTF and the estimated HRTF are measured. For subjective evaluation, the MUSHRA test and preference test are conducted. As a result, the proposed method can make listeners experience more immersive audio than the previous methods.

인구 통계적 변인에 따른 신체만족도와 의복관여도에 관한 연구 (A Study on Body Cathexis and Clothing Invovement by Demographic Characteristics)

  • The purpose of this study was to investigate body cathexis and clothing involvement by demographic characteristics and to indentify the relationship between body cathexis and clothing involvment. Five aspects of body cathexis(lower body, head/upper body, height, weight, torso) were assessed with 17 Likert type questionnaires adapted from the previous researches, and 24 items of clothing involvement were measured. The questionnaire was administered to 430 women in Taegu, Korea. The data were analyzed using percentage, frequency, factor analysis, ANOVA, Sceffe test, t-test, and Pearson's Correlation Analysis. The results of the study were as follows; 1. The body cathexis showed head/upper body, height, torso, lower body, weight in order of satisfaction level. Especially lower body and weight part were shown as the most unsatisfactory body parts. Age of 20s' showed the lowest body cathexis, and those who had the higher educational background and family income were more satisfied with their bodies. 2. Five dimensions of clothing involvement were derived by factor analysis such as fashion, interest, pleasure, symbolism, and perceived buying risk. 3. There were significant relationships between clothing involvement dimensions and demographic characteristics such as age, educational background and family income level. Those who were younger showed positive relationship partially among fashion, interest and pleasure of clothing dimensions but showed negative relationship in total clothing involvement. Those who had higher educational background and family income showed positive clothing involvement than married women and empolyed showed higher clothing involvement with symbolism and perceived buying risk than unemployed women partially but not in total clothing involvement with symbolism and perceived buying risk than unemployed women partially but not in total clothing involvement. 4. There were significant relationships between body cathexis and interest, perceived buying risk of clothing involvement partially. However, the correlation between body cathexis and total clothing involvement was relatively low.

Listener Auditory Perception Enhancement using Virtual Sound Source Design for 3D Auditory System

  • When a virtual sound source for 3D auditory system is reproduced by a linear loudspeaker array, listeners can perceive not only the direction of the source, but also its distance. Control over perceived distance has often been implemented via the adjustment of various acoustic parameters, such as loudness, spectrum change, and the direct-to-reverberant energy ratio; however, there is a neglected yet powerful cue to the distance of a nearby virtual sound source that can be manipulated for sources that are positioned away from the listener's median plane. This paper address the problem of generating binaural signals for moving sources in closed or in open environments. The proposed perceptual enhancement algorithm composed of three main parts is developed: propagation, reverberation and the effect of the head, torso and pinna. For propagation the effect of attenuation due to distance and molecular air-absorption is considered. Related to the interaction of sounds with the environment, especially in closed environments is reverberation. The effects of the head, torso and pinna on signals that arrive at the listener are also objectives of the consideration. The set of HRTF that have been used to simulate the virtual sound source environment for 3D auditory system. Special attention has been given to the modelling and interpolation of HRTFs for the generation of new transfer functions and definition of trajectories, definition of closed environment, etc. also be considered for their inclusion in the program to achieve realistic binaural renderings. The evaluation is implemented in MATLAB.

청각 보호 장구의 실내 충격소음 차음성능에 관한 연구 (A study of the Indoor-Impulse Noise Attenuation Effect for the Hearing Protection Devices)

  • 본 연구의 목적은 170 dB 수준의 충격 소음원에서 주파수별 귀마개의 차음성능을 확인하고, 주파수 특성과 패턴 형상을 분석하는데 있다. 충격 소음에서의 Combat Arm Earplug와 3M Form types 1100 Earplug의 주파수별 귀마개 차음성능을 산출하였다. 차음성능을 확인하기 위해서 B&K Head and Torso Simulator와 Ear Simulator를 제작하여 충격 소음원의 주파수별로 차음성능을 비교하였다. 기존의 연구들은 충격 소음원이라 할지라도 대부분 140 dB 수준의 고충격 소음원이였으나, 본 연구는 그보다 더 높은 수준의 충격 소음원이라는 특징을 가지고 있다. 연구결과, 주파수별 충격소음의 차음효과는 평균 28.58 dB 인 것으로 나타났다.

아동의 문제해결능력 : 표상과 평가능력의 역할 (Young Children's Problem-solving : The role of representation and evaluation)

  • The present study examined preschooler's (3-5yrs) representation and evaluation skills in a puzzle completion task. The puzzle contained panels of four children dressed for each seacon and the key to success was using a body scheme to reconstruct the panels (head, torso, legs, feet and sky on top). Baseline data (Study 1) revealed a developmental pattern of increasing bydy scheme representation along with more careful attention to season consitent construction. Spontaneous verbalization also shifted from more guiding statements (where'the head?) to move evaluative statements (this isn't right). Study 2 examined different intervention techniques for increasing representation (verbal laveling) and evaluative processes (error detection practice), along with a control group that had unassisted practice. Three year olds benefited from verbal labeling, four year olds from both types of training. Verbalizations also showed appropriated shifts toward increasing evaluation, particularly for the older children. These findings are discussed in terms of a developmental hypothesis that representation precedes evaluation skills and that training techniques should take into account the relative balance between representation and evaluation skills in the individual for the task at hand.

두경부암 림프절 전이 평가에서 PET-MRI의 임상적 유용성 (Clinical Usefulness of PET-MRI in Lymph Node Metastasis Evaluation of Head and Neck Cancer)

  • 수술 전 림프절 전이 여부를 진단하고 병리학적 소견 및 원발 주위조직 전이 평가법을 이용하여 두경부암 PET-MRI 검사의 임상적 유용성을 평가하였다. 두경부암 환자 100명을 대상으로 $^{18}F-FDG$ (5.18 MBq/kg)를 정맥주사하고 60분 안정을 취한 후, BiographTM mMR 3T를 사용하여 torso(body tim coil, Vibe-Dixon)와 dedication (head/neck tim coil, UTE, Dotarem injection) 검사를 시행하였다. 반복계산법을 적용하여 데이터를 재구성한 후 workstation으로 림프절 전이 여부를 판독하고, 본원 종합의료정보시스템으로 수술 전/후 병리학적 검사 소견을 조사하였다. 환자의 진단 정보를 $2{\times}2$ 판정행렬의 각 항목에 기입하여 진양성, 진음성, 위양성, 위음성으로 구분하고 이렇게 구분된 검사결과를 토대로 예민도, 특이도, 정확도, 위음성률, 위양성률을 산출하였다. 두경부암 환자의 PET-MRI 검사 결과에서 림프절 전이 양성 및 음성 판정을 받은 경우는 각 49건, 51건이었으며 수술 전-후 병리학적 결과를 통해 림프절 전이 양성 및 음성 판정을 받은 경우는 각 46건, 54건으로 나타났다. 이 중 두 검사 모두 림프절 전이 양성 판정을 받은 진양성은 45건, PET-MRI 검사에서는 림프절 전이 양성이지만 병리학적 검사에서 림프절 전이 음성 판정을 받은 위양성은 4건, PET-MRI 검사에서 림프절 전이 음성이지만 병리학적 검사에서 양성 판정을 받은 위음성은 1건, 두 검사 모두 림프절 전이 음성 판정을 받은 진음성은 50건으로 분석되었다. 따라서 두경부암 환자의 PET-MRI 검사의 예민도는 97.8%, 특이도는 92.5%, 정확도는 95%, 위음성률은 2.1%, 위양성률은 7.0%로 나타났다. 따라서 PET-MRI는 두경부암의 진단에 있어 수술 전 병기 결정이나 치료 후 재발 및 원격전이의 발견, 불분명한 원발 경부 림프절 전이 등의 평가에 유용할 것으로 판단된다.

퍼지로직 기반의 거대 4족 보행 시스템을 위한 실감형 패턴 발생기 (Lifelike Pattern Generator for a Giant Quadrupedal Walking System Based on Fuzzy Logic)

  • In this paper, we suggest a lifelike pattern generator for a quadruped walking system with a head, a tail, four legs and a torso. The system looks like a giant dinosaur which stands over 7 meters tall with its legs over 2 meters long. We focus on its lifelike naturalness. Thus, generating logical patterns in harmony with head-body-tail patterns and quadrupedal locomotion patterns makes you feel that the quadruped walking system is alive. The basic patterns of four legs and a body are obtained from a 3D graphic animation, which is made and captured from various motions of similar species in existence since the giant dinosaurs are exterminated. The dinosaur-like mechanism also is designed from bone and joint structures of quadrupedal animals. The lifelike pattern generator based on fuzzy logic could generate lifelike motions according to the dinosaur-like mechanism and the basic patterns. A series of computer simulations and experimental implements show that the pattern generator makes the quadruped walking system lifelike.

HRTF Measurement and Its Application for 3-D Soung Localization

  • Based on the anthropometric data of Korea male adults, a head and torso simulator(HATS) is constructed to measure its head related transfer functions (HRTFs) which can be used for three dimensional (3-D) sound localization. The HRTFs binaural impulse responses, are measured in an anechoic chamber using a burst maximum length sequence (MLS) signal of 65,535 samples and 32,768 samples acquisition at the sampling rate of 75.47kHz. Also measured are the impulse responses of a driving loudspeaker and some headphones for sound reproduction to get the exact HRTF of the HATS-alone. Through a post-processing procedure, the impulse-version HRTFs at the sampling frequency of 44.1 kHz, which have filter lengths of 512 points, are finally obtained. As an application of the measured HRTFs, a 3-D sound processor for headphone reproduction has been developed. The signal intervals to be processed can be selected and each interval is manipulated to have its diretionality and distance information by using corresponding HRTF and energy control.
