  • The purpose of this study is to develop a Multi-joint rehabilitation system (CMRS : C&R Lab. Multi-joint Rehabilitation System). This study presents the mechanism of rehabilitation system that enables rehabilitation of multi-joint with kinematical analysis for joints of human body. Also, the relative positioning between human subjects and the head part to rehabilitate for the mechanism is based on robotics and anatomy. This study was verified with simulations. Finally, Automation of positioning was realized. Rehabilitation exercises in passive mode were enabled with the results.

  • The evolution of a multi viewer autostereoscopic display is described. Development of the display was originally a part of the EC funded 'ATTEST' project and continues as another EC project 'MUTED'. The design of the original display is presented and the limitations of the prototype are described. The current iteration of the design is presented.

  • In this paper, the crush characteristic of the tilting train express M-car was estimated under a head-on collision scenario. The car body was divided into three parts - front, middle, and rear. For each part, crush-force relation was evaluated numerically using LS-DYNA 3-diementional shell element analysis. This result will be used for one-dimensional collision analysis of the full train rake.

  • Stress analysis of tapered cylinder of reactor vessels is investigated by means of the intersection method. The tapered cylinder is approximated into three models-average cylinder, conical frustum, and ring. The results are compared with those of the finite element method program and an experiment. In this paper, the following results are obtained: (1) the best aproximation has been obtained by the ring model analysis: (2) the intersection analysis of the tapered cylinder by the ring model shows a sufficient accuracy for the stress analysis of reactor vessels.

  • This paper described about the system which can be inspect work roll surface for deciding a milling schedule and roll changing at hot strip mill in POSCO. Developed system consists of CCD camera, Xenon lamp with fiber bundle and mechanical control part. The water probe build up water pole between head of probe and roll surface to acquisite a good image from a work roll surface under the bad environment with steam, cooling water and high temperature. This system is possible to monitor a work roll surface of about 12${\times}$9mm. We have shown the validation of the developed system which can monitor the evolution of degradation on work roll surface.

  • Objectives : There are plenty of medical record of acupuncture & moxibustion in Traditional East Asian medicine(TEAM). We performed this study to find out the hidden criteria lies on this record to choose proper acupoints. Methods : "Zhenjiuzishengjing", ancient TEAM book was analysed using document clustering techniques. Corpus was made from this book. It contained 196 texts driven from each symptoms. Each texts converted to vector representing frequency of 349 acupoints. Distance of vectors calculated by weighted Euclidean distance method. According to this distances, hierarchical clustering of symptoms was builded. Results : The cluster consisted of five large groups. they had high corelation with body part; head and face, chest, abdomen, upper extremity, lower extremity, back. Conclusions : It assumes that body part of symptom is the most importance criteria of acupoints selecting. some high similar symptom vectors consolidated this result. the other criteria is cause and pathway of illness. some symptoms bound together which had common cause and pathway.

  • The pelvis platform is the mechanical part which accomplishes the activities of diminishing the disturbances from the lower body and maintaining a balanced posture. When a biped robot walks, a lot of disturbances and irregular vibrations are generated and transmitted to the upper body. As there are some important machines and instruments in the upper body or head such as CPU, controller units, vision system, etc., the upper part should be isolated from disturbances or vibrations to functions properly and finally to improve the biped stability. This platform has 3 rotational degrees of freedom and is able to maintain balanced level by feedback control system. Some sensors are fused for more accurate estimation and the control system which integrates synchronization and active filtering is simulated on the virtual environment.

자동차 도어 힌지의 구조해석 (Structural Analysis on Door Hinge of Car)

  • The thickness of original hinge model is changed for structural stability in this study. The front end with the largest deformation of 9.8813 mm or the rear middle part with the largest equivalent stress of 6082.6 MPa is respectively shown at door hinge. The lower part of joint pin head with the largest deformation of 0.17499 mm and the largest equivalent stress of 1540.2 MPa are shown. The advanced model with more thickness and stability is shown to have smaller displacement in half and smaller equivalent stress by 3 times by comparing with the original model.

  • Fused deposition(FD) modeling by Stratasys Inc., is one of the material deposition subfamilies of solid freeform fabrication(SFF) technologies. In this process, build material in the form of a flexible filament, is heated to a semi-liquid state and extruded from a robotically controlled deposition head onto a fixtureless table in a temperature controlled environment. The position of nozzle is computer controlled relative to the base, which allows geometric complex models to be made to precise dimensions. FDM provide what the part was directly tested by the worker. It provide believable data. This study is experiment on surface roughness of part at FDM

  • This paper is the second of 3 companion papers which investigate axial stratification process. In-cylinder fuel behavior has been investigated in the port injected Sl engine by visualizing for the purpose of understanding stratification. Planar laser light sheet from an Nd:YAG laser has been illuminated through the transparent quartz cylinder of the single cylinder optical engine and the Mie scattered light has been captured through the quartz window in the piston head with an ICCD camera. Fuel has been replaced with an air-ethanol mixture to utilize atomized fuel spray fur the visualization purposes. This results have been compared with steady flow concentration measurement. For low/medium swirl port, the early injection makes such a fuel distribution state that is upper-rich, middle-lean and lower-rich along the combustion chamber and cylinder by tumbling motion. On the other hand, the late injection induces upper-rich, middle-lean and lower-rich state due to the short fuel penetration.
