The purpose of this study is to investigate the influence of learning flow, learning interest, and academic achievement by dividing the time when class was taught by Havruta. The Havruta teaching method is a traditional Jewish method of learning, with a one-on-one discussion with a partner that has a positive impact on each other. Havruta teaches learners through various perspectives and perspectives, helping them to improve their learning ability by attracting new ideas and solutions. In the computer lab, there is a big difference between the students according to the learner's abilities. Therefore, it is thought that the Havruta teaching method will help the learners who have lost interest in learning and improve the learning ability in the conventional way which does not consider personal abilities. do. In this paper, based on the friendship teaching model of the Havruta teaching style, the experimental group was taught through the Havruta practice and the play. Through the pre- and post-test, the students who taught the class with the help of the verbal method improved the learning flow, the learning interest and the academic achievement.

This study is to apply the Havruta teaching-learning method to college students' major classes and analyze the relationship between the effectiveness evaluation of communication skills and sub-factors using a structural equation model. As a result of the study, the communication ability score was different before and after Havruta teaching-learning, and it was found that after Havruta teaching-learning was higher than before Havruta teaching-learning. The path effect was found to be significant in all of the total, direct, and indirect effects among latent variables, except for the relationship between interpretation ability, role-playing ability, and goal-setting ability in the direct effect. In this study, it was found that the Havruta teaching-learning method not only improves creativity and thinking ability, but also improves self-directed learning ability. In addition, it was reconfirmed that it is a teaching-learning method that can develop social skills and communication skills as well as problem-solving skills while experiencing opinions different from one's own. As a result, research on a thorough student-centered teaching-learning method suitable for the Homo Machina era must be continued and its application in the educational field must be implemented.

The purpose of this study is the education applying Havruta's method for nursing students and to examine its effect on the communication competency, problem solving capability, and self-esteem. This study is the experimental group have take part in a Havruta's mathod course and the control group do a traditional course. Data is collect at begin and finish of semester in 2023 and analyzed using the SPSS 23.0 program. Result Problem solving capability and self-esteem of nursing students using the Havruta's method is significantly higher than those of the control group, but communication competency is not significan. Application of Havruta's method has to be extended to increase nursing students competencies and research applying various Havruta methods other than teaching friends and making problems should be conducted.

Objectives: This study applied Havruta, a learner-centered educational method, and verified its effectiveness, to break from the existing mechanical memorization methods of scripture reading classes, which are basic subjects of East Asian medicine at East Asian medicine universities. Method: To this end, D University's scripture reading course was redesigned according to Havruta's teaching model, and Havruta classes were conducted according to the instructional design. Results: As a result of the class, students' Chinese translation ability improved, and they were able to concentrate on class (M=4.24). Through class, they acquired knowledge in the field (M=4.21) and their ability to communicate with others improved (M=4.21). M=4.25), it can be inferred and interpreted that the learner is engaged. Conclusion: The results of this study are examples of applying various teaching and learning methods required in the East Asian medicine evaluation and certification of East Asian medicine at East Asian medicine universities, and can be used as practical basic data that can be applied not only to scripture reading subjects but also to other subjects.

This study examines the effect of 5-year-old children's mathematical problem solving ability and their self-esteem based on the Havruta method using math storybooks. The subjects of this study were 40 5-year-old students attending a kindergarten in the Incheon area: 20 students comprised the treatment group and 20 students comprised the control group. An instrument originally created by Ward (1993) but adapted by Hwang (1997) and later modified by Ryu (2003) was used to test the children's mathematical problem solving abilities. A modified version (Kim, 1997) of an instrument developed by Harter and Pike (1984) was used to measure children's self-esteem. Test results were analyzed using SPSS ver. 18.0 for Windows. The findings are as follows. First, the treatment group that had Havruta classes utilizing math story books was found to improve significantly more than the control group in their mathematical problem solving ability. Havruta classes had positive effects on children's mathematical problem solving abilities. Second, there was no significant difference found between the two groups in terms of self-esteem when the children's self-esteem was compared after Havruta classes that utilize math storybooks. It may not be possible to see immediate changes in children's self-esteem because positive parent and teacher feedback had the strongest influence on 5-year-old children's self-esteem, as opposed to self-learning. The results of this study provide meaningful basic data for Havruta classes that focus on questions and discussions through math story books to increase children's mathematical problem solving abilities in the child education field.

Background: The world has entered the age of biotechnology and artificial intelligence, and encouraging students to test the value of information and knowledge ie to become information fluent, is becoming more important. The education system is also changing in order to adapt to the times. As a part of this, the cultivation of creative talent is a core goal of many nation states, and Israel's Jewish education methods are attracting attention; havruta (or chavrusa) is one such method. This study aims to effects of havruta class on learning attitudes and class satisfaction in a class of college physical therapy students. Design: Pretest-posttest design. Methods: The subjects were 95 students in College A. The learning attitudes questionnaire were used by the Korea Educational Development Institute, and the class satisfaction questionnaire before and after intervention. Results: The results showed significant differences in learning habits about physical therapy of learning attitudes (p<.05) and class methods and contents attention and understanding (p<.05), class interest of class satisfaction (p<.05). Conclusion: These results suggest that havruta class improves learning attitudes and class satisfaction. Therefore, follow-up study is needed to apply the havruta class in various students and teaching methods.

Purpose: The purpose of this study was to construct the education applying the Havruta method for nursing students and to investigate the effects on self-directed learning ability, critical thinking, and learning commitment. Methods: A nonequivalent control group pre-posttest design was used. The participants were 63 nursing students (experimental group, n=31; control group, n=32) at two universities. The experimental group received education applying the Havruta method for five weeks. The study was conducted from September 1 to November 30, 2022. The data were analyzed using IBM SPSS 27.0 for an χ² test, Fisher's exact test, independent t-test, and Mann-Whitney U-test. Results: The experimental group had a significant increase in self-directed learning ability (z=-2.13, p=.033). However, there was no significant difference in critical thinking competency (t=0.64, p=.524) and learning commitment (t=0.04, p=.969) between the two groups. Conclusion: The Havruta method is an effective nursing education tool for self-directed learning ability. The result of this study could be a guide for nursing professors in designing and implementing educational programs that apply the Havruta method. In the future, research that applies the Havruta method and evaluates its effectiveness in nursing education programs should be continued.

This study was a one-group pretest-posttest design experimental study that attempted to verify the effects of applying the Havruta learning method on the academic self-efficacy, academic achievement, and communication skills of radiology college students. This study was conducted from May 1 to June 23, 2023, and applied the Havruta learning method for 6 weeks to 38 second-year radiologists taking a radiology technology course at a university in Jeollanam-do. SPSS/WIN 21.0 was used for data analysis, the reliability of the scale was verified, the subject's general characteristics, pre-test values and post-test values for measurement variables were verified with descriptive statistics, and the difference between before and after the Havruta learning method was verified with paired t-test. Research results show that the Havruta learning method improves academic self-efficacy (t=-2.70, p<.001), academic achievement (t=-2.87, p=.006), and communication skills (t=-2.76, p=.008). showed a statistically significant difference. As a result, Havruta learning method was confirmed as an effective learning method that improves academic self-efficacy, academic achievement, and communication skills of radiology college students. In the future, expanded application of the Havruta learning method will be necessary.

This paper is designed to examine the effectiveness of Computational Thinking and programming awareness by designing and applying programming classes using Havruta. In the present society, where the Fourth Industrial Revolution was in full swing, the capacity to be equipped has changed, and the education has been changed accordingly. Programming education is logically capable of thinking and improves comprehensive problem solving skills. This direction of programming education allows us to get ideas for solving problems based on computing thoughts and to create our own creative results. However, because they require the grammar of the programming language and many additional abilities, they are not easy for learners, and individual differences in competencies make learning less immersive and interesting. In this paper, to solve the problems of the uniform programming class, this study is designed and applied to the class applying the Jewish traditional teaching method, Havruta's teaching method, to find out the effect of computing thinking and programming perception.

Purpose: The purpose of this study was to construct the education applying Havruta's method for nursing students and to examine its effect on the communication competency, critical thinking competency, and self-leadership. Methods: A non-equivalent control group pretest-posttest design was used. The participants were 138 nursing students at two universities. The experimental group (n=70) received the education applying Havruta's method for six weeks. The study was carried out from September 23 to November 8, 2019. Data were analyzed using IBM SPSS/WIN 22.0 for the 𝑥² test, Fisher's exact test, and independent t-test. Results: The experimental group had a significant increase in communication competency (t=2.44, p=.016). However, there was no significant difference in critical thinking competency (t=1.85, p=.067), and self-leadership (t=1.78, p=.077) between the two groups. Conclusion: The education applying Havruta's method is an effective nursing education for communication competency. The result of this study could be a guide for nursing professors at the nursing education field when developing education programs that apply Habruta's method. Based on these results, future studies should be conducted to apply Habruta's teaching method to various nursing majors.
