  • Recently much research for developing forwarding table that support fast router without employing both special hardware and new protocols. This article introduces a new forwarding data structure based on the software to enable forwarding lookup to be penormed at giga-bit speed. The forwarding table is known as a bottleneck of the routers penormance due to its high complexity proportional to the forwarding table size. The recent research that based on the software uses a Patricia trie and its variants. and also uses a hash function with prefix length key and others. The proposed forwarding table structure construct a forwarding table by the bit stream array in which it constructs trie from routing table prefix entries and it represents each pointer pointing the child node and the associated forwarding table entry with one bit The trie structure and routing prefix pointer need a large memory when representing those by linked-list or array. but in the proposed data structure, the needed memory size is small enough since it represents information with one bit. Additionally, by use a lookup method that start searching at desired middle level we can shorten the search path. The introduced data structure. called bit-map trie shows that we can implement a fast forwarding engine on the conventional Pentium processor by reducing the backbone routing table fits into Level 2 cache of Pentium II processor and shortens the searching path. Our experiments to evaluate the performance of proposed method show that this bit-map trie accomplishes 5.7 million lookups per second.

  • Can speak that DTD is meta data that define meaning of expressed data on XML document. Therefore, in case DTD information is damaged this information to base security of XML document dangerous. Not that attach digital signature on XML document at send-receive process of XML document in this research, proposed method to attach digital signature to DTD. As reading DTD file to end first, do parsing, and store abstracted element or attribute entitys in hash table. Read hash table and achieve message digest if parsing is ended. Compose and create digital signature with individual key after achievement. When sign digital, problem that create entirely other digest cost because do not examine about order that change at message digest process is happened. This solved by method to create DTD's digital signature using DOM that can embody tree structure for standard structure and document.

  • DHT(Distributed Hash Table) networks such as Kademlia are vulnerable to the ID mapping attack caused by the voluntary DHT mapping structure where the location of a node is solely determined by itself on the network topology. This causes security problems such as eclipse, DRDoS and botnet C&C on DHT networks. To prevent ID mapping attacks, we propose a non-voluntary DHT mapping scheme and perform analysis on NAT compatibility, attack resistance, and network dynamicity. Analysis results show that our approach may have an equivalent level of attack resistance comparing with other defense mechanisms and overcome their limitations including NAT compatibility and network dynamicity.

  • QoS is an important requirement of the FTTH (Fiber To The Home) subscriber in access network using E-PON (Ethernet Passive Optical Network). In this research, we describe the structure of the access network and propose a bandwidth guarantee scheme for subscriber and service according to the requirements of the subscriber, service and system. This scheme uses two kinds of the classification table, which are called 'service classification table' and 'subscriber classification table.' Using the classification table, we can identify the flow of the subscriber and service. Also, we compute the number of hash table entry to minimize the loss ratio of flows using the M/G/k/k queueing model. Finally, we apply the DRR scheduling through virtual queueing per subscriber instead of the aggregated class.

  • We present a new algorithm for mining association rules in the large database. Association rules are the relationships of items in the same transaction. These rules provide useful information for marketing. Since Apriori algorithm was introduced in 1994, many researchers have worked to improve Apriori algorithm. However, the drawback of Apriori-based algorithm is that it scans the transaction database repeatedly. The algorithm which we propose scans the database twice. The first scanning of the database collects frequent length l-itemsets. And then, the algorithm scans the database one more time to construct the data structure Common-Item Tree which stores the information about frequent itemsets. To find all frequent itemsets, the algorithm scans Common-Item Tree instead of the database. As scanning Common-Item Tree takes less time than scanning the database, the algorithm proposed is more efficient than Apriori-based algorithm.

  • Accessing and searching in a sequence of numbers are fundamental operations in computing that are encountered in a wide range of applications. One of the applications of the problem is cryptanalytic time-memory tradeoff which is aimed at a one-way function. A rainbow table, which is a common method for the time-memory tradeoff, contains elements from an input domain of a hash function that are normally sorted integers. In this paper, we present a practical indexing method for a monotonically increasing static sequence of numbers where the access and search queries can be addressed efficiently in terms of both time and space complexity. For a sequence of n numbers from a universe $U=\{0,{\ldots},m-1\}$, our data structure requires n lg(m/n) + O(n) bits with constant average running time for both access and search queries. We also give an analysis of the time and space complexities of the data structure, supported by experiments with rainbow tables.

  • In this paper, we propose an efficient algorithm which generates frequent itemsets by only one database scanning. A frequent itemset is subset of an itemset which is accessed by a transaction. For each item, if informations about transactions accessing the item are exist, it is possible to generate frequent itemsets only by the extraction of items haying an identical transaction ID. Proposed method in this paper generates the data structure which stores transaction ID for each item by only one database scanning and generates 2-frequent itemsets by using the hash technique at the same time. k(k$\geq$3)-frequent itemsets are simply found by comparing previously generated data structure and transaction ID. Proposed algorithm can efficiently generate frequent itemsets by only one database scanning .

  • Since the development of the Distributed Hash Tables (DHTs), the distributed lookup services are one of the hot topics in the networking area. The main reason of this popularity is the simplicity of the lookup structure. However, the simple key based search mechanism makes the so called "keyword" based search difficult if not impossible. Thus, the applicability of the DHTs is limited to certain areas. In this paper. we find that DHTs can be used as the ubiquitous sensor network (USN) metadata lookup service across a large number of sensor networks. The popularity of the Ubiquitous Sensor Network has motivated the development of the USN middleware services for the sensor networks. One of the key functionalities of the USN middleware service is the lookup of the USN metadata, by which users get various information about the sensor network such as the type of the sensor networks and/or nodes, the residual of the batteries, the type of the sensor nodes. Traditional distributed hash table based lookup systems are good for one sensor network. However, as the number of sensor network increases, the need to integrate the lookup services of many autonomous sensor networks so that they can provide the users an integrated view of the entire sensor network. In this paper, we provide a hybrid lookup model, in which the autonomous lookup services are combined together and provide seamless services across the boundary of a single lookup services. We show that the hybrid model can provide far better lookup performance than a single lookup system.

  • MANET is composed of only the mobile nodes have a limited transmission range. The dynamic topology by the frequent movement of nodes makes routing difficult and is also cause exposed to security vulnerabilities. In this paper, we propose the security routing technique consisted of mechanism of two steps in order to respond effectively to attack by the modification of the routing information and transmit secure data. The hierarchical structure is used and the authentication node that issues the key of the nodes within each cluster is elected in this proposed method. The authentication node manages key issues and issued information for encrypting the routing information from the source node. The reliability value for each node is managed to routing trust table in order to secure data transmission. In the first step, the route discovery is performed using this after the routing information is encrypted using the key issued by the authentication node. In the second step, the average reliability value of the node in the found path is calculated. And the safety of the data transmission is improved after the average reliability value selects the highest path. The improved performance of the proposed method in this paper was confirmed through comparative experiments with CBSR and SEER. It was confirmed a better performance in the transmission delay, the amount of the control packet, and the packet transmission success ratio.

  • Key-value stores proved its superiority by being applied to various NoSQL databases such as Redis, Memcached. Lookup performance is important because key-value store applications performs more lookup than insert operations in most environments. However, in traditional applications, lookup may be slow because hash tables are constructed out of linked-list. Therefore, cuckoo hashing has been getting attention from the academia for constant lookup time, and bucketized cuckoo hashing (BCH) has been proposed since it can achieve high load factor. In this paper, we introduce Sorting Cuckoo which inserts data using insertion sort in BCH structure. Sorting Cuckoo determines the existence of a key with a relatively small memory access because data are sorted in each buckets. In particular, the higher memory load factor, the better lookup performance than BCH's. Experimental results show that Sorting Cuckoo has smaller memory access than BCH's as many as about 19 million (25%) in 10 million negative lookup operations (key is not in the table), about 4 million times (10%) in 10 million positive lookup operations (where it is) with load factor 95%.
