Hash based Secure RFID Authentication Protocol for User Privacy Protection (사용자 프라이버시 보호를 위한 해쉬 기반의 안전한 RFID 인증 프로토콜)

  • RFID, a non-contact wireless identification technology is being noticed as a technology to alternate barcode system in distribution industry and general industry. Despite of merit of RFID, there are issues to be solved for practical use. One of them, which are most important, is resolution of user's information protection. RFID system without security function bears risk exposing personal data and user's privacy. In this paper, we propose mutual authentication protocol for RFID system in order to solve this security issue. This study aimed to protect user's privacy by providing dynamic ID for tag through authentication protocol safe from security threats. Information being transmitted between backend, reader and tag has no direct connection with ID of tag, and it conducts authentication process using one-way hash function, which prevents attacker's obtaining of tag information using information being transmitted.

  • On the wireless communication between RFID Tag and Reader, there are some existing problems with weaknesses of security such as spoofing, replay, traffic analysis, position tracking, etc., in the established hash lock related algorithm. This paper has presented the comparison and analysis of the established hash lock related algorithm for privacy and in order to make up for this, also suggested a new security authentication algorithm based on hash which has an authentication protocol and creates hash function by using random numbers received from the reader on real time and every session. The algorithm suggested here can offer a several of usefulness for RFID authentication system and it has an advantage to reduce the amount of calculations compared to established algorithm. It also uses the tags needed among a lot of tags around which are expected later and it is expected to reduce a responsibility of the server by ending unnecessary tags' operation with time based.

  • RFID is recognized to technically occupy important position in ubiquitous computing environment and expected to create new markets in a variety of fields from now on. In order to generalize RFID system, it is required to solve the problem of privacy invasion and expedite lots of tags We suggest efficient RFID Tag Identification to identify tags quickly on the satisfaction with 3 security requirements of privacy protection in this paper. This methods are transferred to Grid environment through parallel analysis of Hash-Chain, and we measure performance of each nodes under the Grid environment. Then, We'll suggest SP-Division Algorithm to identify tags with each nodes and implement it in a Grid environment.

  • Recently as increasing the use of mobile communication devices the use of mobile readers for recognition tag attached to objects is also increasing. Accordingly, meantime, that gives rise to the vulnerability of RFID systems between reader and tag security issues, as well as security issues between the reader and the back-end server will occur. In this paper between the reader and the back-end server to security vulnerabilities efficient authentication protocol using the hash function is proposed.

  • Recently, Ahn et al proposed an improved authentication protocol using the hash function in RFID environment. Their proposed protocol provide the following three merits; it reduces the computational costs of RFID tag. itrfduces the communication overhead between the reader and the tag. it protects the user privacy. However, this paper points out that does not authenticate the legality of the RFID reader and database. this paper proposes an improved mutual authentication protocol that can provide the mutual authenticaion.

  • 트위터 해시태그(#, HashTag)는 트윗(Tweets)에서 특정 키워드나 내용을 주제별로 분류하고 검색을 보다 효율적으로 사용하기 위한 사용자 정의 태그이다. 사용자가 정의하기에 따라 다양한 형태로 작성되기 때문에 오히려 검색의 효율성이 떨어질 수 있으며, 사용자는 자신이 작성한 트윗에 어떤 해시태그를 추가해야 하는지에 대한 궁금증이 생기는 경우가 발생한다. 본 논문에서는 이러한 문제를 해결하기 위해 사용자가 작성한 트윗에 적합한 해시태그를 추천하는 기법을 제안한다. 수집한 트윗과 해시태그의 키워드를 추출하고 트윗의 유사도를 계산하기 위해 TF-IDF와 Cosine Similarity를 적용하여 유사한 트윗을 갖는 해시태그를 추천한다. 본 논문에서 제안된 기법을 검증하기 위한 실험으로 추천의 정확성을 평가했다.

  • Recently RFID system is used in various fields such as distribution industry, medical industry and military service. The technology for protecting individual privacy is necessary to adapt RFID system in several applications. This paper proposes an authentication protocol which conducts mutual authentication between back-end database and tag using hash function. The proposed protocol satisfies various RFID security requirements : mutual authentication, anonymity, confidentiality, integrity, replay attack, location trace. This protocol reduces the time for authentication minimizing the number of hash operation in back-end database.

  • A low-power Radio Frequency Identification (RFID) system is an auto-identification technology that reads and writes an information of things without physical contacts using radio frequency. It is unescapable against unlawful modification, eavesdropping, tracking, or privacy of individuals because RFID systems use the radio frequency and RFID tags. Therefore we create a key using hash chain between database and tag and this process can prevent above attacks. Also we support the efficiency of proposed protocol using hash function to abate computation.

  • By identifying the unique information of the objects using the RF, the RFID technique which will be able to manage the object is spot-lighted as the main technology in Ubiquitous era. On RFID systems, since the information of RFID may easily be unveiled in air, the secure and privacy problems always exist. In this paper, we propose mutual authentication protocol based on symmetric key. Proposed protocol has been able to minimize the tag's H/W resource by using symmetric key. And we use tag ID which is encrypted with hash function and a shared symmetric key by Challenge-Response pair of PUF(Physically Unclonable Function), thus there is no key disclosure problem in our protocol.

  • In this paper, we proposed a new secure RFID(Radio Frequency IDentification) mutual authentication protocol on insecure communication channel which assumed that all communication channels between the database, the reader and the tag are insecure communication channels. The proposed protocol used a secure one-way hash function and the goal is to improve search time of a tag ID and overload of hash calculational load in DB. In addition, the proposed protocol supports not only basic security requirements to be provided by RFID mutual authentication protocol but also forward secrecy, and the tag does not generate a random number to reduce overload of processing capacity in it.
