단삼의 수확시기에 따른 생육 특성 및 주요 성분 변이 (Changes of Major Components and Growth Characteristics According to Harvesting Times of Salvia miltiorrhiza Bunge)

  • Background : This study examined the effect of harvesting time on the growth, yield characteristics, and major beneficial components in Salvia miltiorrhiza. Methods and Results : Although plant height, stem diameter and branch length were not affected by harvesting time, the number of stems was highest when harvested in mid October. There were no differences in root length and thickness, however, the rhizome was thicker when it was harvested at the end of October or early November than when it was harvested in early and mid October. The dried root weight also showed a similar pattern. However, there was a statistically significant increase to 408 kg (16%) in the rhizome weight when in late October and a rise to 455 kg (29%) when harvested in early November. Harvest time had little effect on the content of the major component of S. miltiorrhiza. For example, salvianolic acid content rose from 9.42 to 9.64% with later harvest times, and tanshinone ${\prod}A$ content was tended to be slightly more increased in mid October which S. miltiorrhiza has 0.22% tanshinon ${\prod}A$ than in early October. Conclusions : According to these results, the optimum harvest time for S. miltiorrhiza is early November when plant or major component yields are hightest. There were no significant harvest time effects on the major beneficial components.

  • 본 논문은 무인항공기 비행시간 향상을 위해 RF 무선 전력 획득 기술을 이용한 self-powered 센서 노드 회로에 관해 설계 연구하였다. 제안하는 센서 노드는 두 가지 경우가 만족하였을 때 동작한다. 마스터 노드의 입력 RF ID와 센서 노드의 ID가 같을 경우와 RF 무선 전력 획득 시스템이 히스테리시스 스위치에 의해 동작될 때다. 마스터 노드의 출력은 263 MHz에서 26 dBm을 사용하였다. RF 전력을 DC 전력으로 변환하는 최대 효율은 마스터 노드에서 2미터 떨어진 지점(4-6 dBm)에서 55 %이다. 최대 RF 무선 전력 획득 범위는 마스터 노드와 센서 노드의 거리가 약 13 m 이다. 센서 노드의 MCU 및 수신기와 온도 센서와 같은 부하의 소비 전력은 10 msec 동안 5.0 V에서 평균 15 mA이다.

볏단크기의 변화가 바인더에 의한 수확작업과 탈곡작업에 미치는 영향 (Effect of Rice-Bundle size the harvesting performance with binder and the threshing performance)

  • It is desirable to increase the diameter of rice bundle harvested by Japanese reaper binder recently introduced into Korean farmers , since it is too small for stalking in the field for preliminary drying prior to threshing operation which is dominant procedure in rice harvesting . Accordingly, this study was conducted to analyze the effect of the size of rice-bundle on the performance of binder and self-feeding thresher. The results are summarized as follows : 1. The diameter of rice-bundle could be increased from $\phi$80-98 to $\phi$105.0-125.4 while the number of rice bundles per 10 a were reduced to 1200 from 1600. The time required for harvesting 10 a of rice was 81 minutes in small size bundles and 84 minutes in large size bundles and no statistical difference was obtained. 2 .The grain loss due to discharge and cutting were slightly increased with large size bundle compared to the small size but no statistical difference was obtained. The precision of operation and drying rate was not significantly different between small and large size bundles. 3. The unthreshed losses were the same between large and small sizes of rice bundles when self-feeding thresher was used. When 8 PS engine was used , continuous operation was possible for small size bundles , but 1.5seconds of time interval was necessary for large size buldles. 4. The consumption of binding twine was reduced to 603 from 820 meters with the larger bundles , and the labour requirement for stalking rice bundles in the field was also reduced to 1.83 form 2.50 man-hour per 10 a Therefore, harvesting cost can be reduced up to 26.5 percent by increasing the bundle size.

Harvesting Cost and Productive of Tree-Length Thinning in a Pinus densiflora Stand Using the Tower Yarder (HAM300)

  • Logging equipment and method have a major influence on harvesting productivity and cost. This study investigated the productivity and operational costs of tree-length cable yarding system using HAM300, a domestically developed tower yarder. We tested HAM300 for thinning operation in Pinus densiflora stands at Gangreung, Gangwon-do on April, 2014. To assess the productivity we conducted time study for each stage of the operation. When the average time/cycle was examined for each stage of the operation, the longest was for yarding (241 sec), followed by delimbing (237 sec), felling (153 sec), and processing (103 sec). Furthermore, productivity for felling was $8.6m^3/hr$, followed by delimbing ($5.1m^3/hr$), yarding ($3.5m^3/hr$), and processing ($8.1m^3/hr$). The total cost for the tree-length logging system was $58,446won/m^3$, of which the majority was incurred by the yarding cost at $46,217won/m^3$ (79.3%), whereas the lowest cost was for felling at $2,359won/m^3$ (4.1%). We suggest that it is necessary to foster specialized operators and provide training in operating the tower yarder thereby implementing efficient harvesting system resulting from low-cost yarding.

Role of OrfQ in Formation of Light-Harvesting Complex of Rhodobacter sphaeroides under Light-Limiting Photoheterotrophic Conditions

  • A puc-deleted cell of Rhodobacter sphaeroides grows with a doubling time longer than 160 h under light-limiting photoheterotrophic (3 Watts [W]/㎡) conditions due to an absence of the peripheral light-harvesting B800-850 complex. A spontaneous fast-growing mutant, R. sphaeroides SK101, was isolated from the puc-deleted cells cultured photoheterotrophically at 3 W/㎡. This mutant grew with an approximately 40-h doubling time. The growth of the mutant, however, was indistinguishable from its parental strain during photoheterotrophic growth at 10 W/㎡ as well as during aerobic growth. The membrane of SK101 grown aerobically did not reveal the presence of any spectral complex, while the amounts of the B875 complex and photosynthetic pigments of SK101 grown anaerobiclly in the dark with dimethylsulfoxide (DMSO) were the same as those of the parental cell. These results indicate that the oxygen control of the photosynthetic complex formation remained unaltered in the mutant. The B875 complex of SK101 under light-limiting conditions was elevated by 20% to 30% compared with that of the parental cell, which reflected the parallel increase of the bacteriochlorophyll and carotenoid contents of the mutant. When the puc was restored in SK101, the B875 complex level remained unchanged, but that of the B800-850 complex increased. The mutated phenotype of SK101 was complemented with orfQ encoding a putative bacteriochlorophyll-mobilizing protein. Accordingly, it is proposed that the mutated OrfQ of SK101 should have an altered affinity towards the assembly factor specific to the most peripheral light-harvesting complex, which could be either the B875 or the B800-850 complex.

Early Outcomes of Endoscopic Vein Harvesting during the Initial Learning Period

  • Background: The endoscopic vein harvesting (EVH) method has been used in coronary artery bypass surgery in many countries. We started using the EVH method recently, and investigated the results during the early learning period. Methods: Between March 2012 and June 2014, 75 patients (31 patients in the EVH method group, and 44 patients in the open method group) who underwent isolated first-time coronary artery bypass grafting using vein grafts were retrospectively analyzed with respect to the early outcomes including graft patency and risk factors for leg wound complications. For assessing the patency of vein graft, we performed coronary computed tomography angiography during the immediate postoperative period and 6 months later. Results: Mean harvesting time of endoscopic method was about 15 minutes. Patency rate during the immediate operative period and the 6-month patency rate were similar between the two groups (postoperative period: EVH 100% vs. open method 94.4%, p=0.493; at 6 months: EVH 93.3% vs. open method 90.9%, p=0.791). Leg wound complications occurred more frequently in the open method group (EVH 3.2% vs. open method 13.6%, p=0.127). According to the analysis, age was an independent risk factor for leg wound complications. Conclusion: EVH is a feasible method even for beginners and can be performed satisfactorily during their learning period.

뿌리이용(利用) 약용작물(藥用作物)의 기계수확(機械收穫) 효율(效率율) 비교(比較) (Effective Mechanized Harvesting Methods for Underground Parts of Some Medicinal Crops)

  • 참당귀(當歸), 황기, 천궁(川芎) 등 지하부(地下部)를 이용하는 약용작물을 대상으로 관행 인력수확방법(人力收穫方法)을 성력기계화수확기술(省力機械化收穫技術)로 개선코자 기계수확 효율을 비교 검토 하였던 바 그 결과를 요약하면 다음과 같다. 1. 성력효율(省力效率)은 인력수확(人力收穫)에 비하여 참당귀(當歸)의 경우 포크레인 수확(收穫) 61% , 다목적근(多目的根) 수확기(收穫機) 이용시 71% 절감(節減)되었으며, 황기에 있어서는 포크레인 수확(收穫) 70%, 다목적근(多目的根) 수확기(收穫機)에서 76% 작업시간(作業時間)이 절감(節減)되었다. 천궁(川芎)의 경우는 경운기 부착진동 굴취기(掘取機) 및 다목적근(多目的根) 수확기(收穫機) 적용시 작업소요시간(作業所要時間)을 각각 68% 줄일 수 있었다. 2. 손실율은 참당귀(當歸)와 황기의 경우 포크레인 수확시(收穫時) 각각 5%, 0.6%를 보였으며 천궁(川芎)에서는 다목적근(多目的根) 수확기(收穫機) 이용에서 1.5%로 낮았다. 3. 상품수량은 기계수확시 관행 인력수확에 비하여 포크레인을 적용할 경우 참당귀(當歸)나 황기에서 약간 낮았으며, 천궁(天芎)에서 다목적근(多目的 根) 수확기(收穫機) 적용시에도 다소 감소되는 경향이었다. 4. 기계 수확 효율로 보아 적절한 수확기종은 참당귀(當歸) 황기의 경우는 포크레인이었고, 천궁(天弓)에서는 다목적근(多目的根) 수확기(收穫機)가 유망시 되었다.

  • 최근 사물 인터넷 기술의 발달로 인해 사용되는 센서의 수가 늘어남에 따라 센서의 전원 부족 및 사적인 정보의 유출이 심각한 문제로 여겨지고 있다. 이러한 문제들을 해결하기 위해 외부의 RF 신호로부터 전력을 수집하는 RF 에너지 하베스팅과 물리계층 보안 기술의 중요성이 점차 커지고 있다. 본 논문에서는 소스가 전송하는 신호로부터 에너지 하베스팅이 가능한 릴레이가 존재하는 무선 네트워크에서 정보 보안을 향상시키기 위한 시간 전환 기반 네트워크 아날로그 코딩 기법을 제안한다. 소스가 전송하는 신호를 도청하려는 도청자가 존재하는 2-hop 릴레이 네트워크를 모델링하고, 수학적 분석을 통해 최소 요구 보안 용량을 최대화 할 수 있는 최적의 시간 전환 비율을 찾았다. 다양한 환경에서 시뮬레이션을 통해 제안 방안이 기존 방안에 비해 최소 요구 보안 용량을 개선함을 보인다.

Effect of Harvesting Time on the Yield, Color, and Proximate Compositions of Jinbu Variety Green Rice®

  • The degree of maturity of rice greatly affects the quality of the rice, including factors such as the integrity of grains, color, and the nutritive components. Green Rice$^{(R)}$ is rice (Oryza sativa L.) that has been harvested earlier than brown rice and appears green in color. To determine suitable harvesting time of the Jinbu variety of Green Rice$^{(R)}$ in Gyeonggido, rice samples harvested on 23, 26 and 42 days after heading (DAH) were compared on their yield, color intensity, and proximate compositions. The maximum paddy yield of Green Rice$^{(R)}$ was 61.4% at 23 DAH, which decreased to 45.4%, 5.5% at 26 and 42 DAH, respectively. Greenness was darker at 23 DAH ($-0.27{\pm}0.03$), and significantly weaker (p<0.05) at 26 DAH ($0.07{\pm}0.01$) and at 42 DAH ($5.25{\pm}0.08$). All proximate compositions, except carbohydrate, including moisture, crude fat, protein, ash and total minerals were higher in the earlier-harvested Green rice$^{(R)}$ than in brown rice, without variations among the 23 and 26 DAH Green rice$^{(R)}$. Overall, the optimum harvest time of Jinbu Green Rice$^{(R)}$ at Gyeonggido would be 23 DAH. We suggest that timely harvesting could be a potent determinant of the quality of Green Rice$^{(R)}$.

줄 꼬임 구동을 이용한 수확용 그리퍼의 줄기 절단 장치 설계 및 검증 (The Design and Evaluation of The Stem-cutting Device of Harvesting Gripper Using Twisted String Actuation System)

  • This paper presents a novel stem-cutting device using a twisted string actuation system combined with the cinch bag-typed gripper proposed in previous research. The suggested cutting device was developed to cut the stem of a tomato using two motors. The relationship between contact time and motor angle was mathematically induced, and the contacting time was verified through the experiments. The contact time has decreased as the offset of each pair of strings at the disk increases. The contact time and its deviation were reduced by increasing the radius of the twisted string bundle, and the motor torque to exert an equivalent cutting force was surged at the same time. The proposed cutting mechanism with 16 strands of twisted string bundle and 40 mm of offset can cut the given tomato stems and stalks, exerting up to 132.4 N of cutting force in 4.6 to 6.5seconds.
