Diode laser를 이용한 STS420J2의 표면경화 특성에 관한 연구 (A study on the hard surfacing Characteristics of STS420J2 by using Diode laser)

  • 본 연구에서는 실생활에 많이 이용되며 주로 주방용 식기 및 식칼, 소형칼, 주방 가위 등으로 널리 사용되는 STS420J2를 실험소재로 사용하였다. 마르텐사이트계 스테인리스강은 Cr13%이상 함유하고 있어 약 $1,050^{\circ}C$를 정점으로 하여 그 이상의 고온에서는 저하하는 단점을 가지고 있다. 실험에 사용되는 시험편 표면에 표면경화를 수행하기 위하여 #200 ~ #1500의 순서대로 미세연마 후 거친연마 가공을 실시하였으며, 다이오드 레이저의 표면경화 열처리 후에 자기냉각효과를 고려하여 $100{\times}50{\times}10$의 판재로 시험편을 제작하여 실험하였다. 소재 표면에 다이오드 레이저를 이용하여 국소부위에 표면경화 열처리를 수행하였다. 이때 다이오드 레이저의 출력과 이송속도를 공정조건으로 하여, 미세경도시험, 미세조직시험, 전자 주사 현미경(SEM), 입열량을 분석하였다. 분석 후에는 실험소재의 기계적 특성을 비교하여, 타 표면경화법에 비해 다이오드 레이저를 이용하였을 때의 표면경화 열처리 신뢰성과 우수함 그리고 최적의 공정조건을 도출하였다. 열처리 후 경화부는 Plate martensite로 경화 되었으며. 경도값은 Hv606.2로 열처리 후 약 3배 이상 표면경도가 향상되었다.

  • 본 연구에서는 산업현장에서 각종 기어나, 축, 체인, 롤러, 금형, 자동차강판 등으로 널리 쓰여 지는 기계구조용 탄소강인 SM45C를 실험소재로 사용하였다. 실험에 사용되는 시험편 표면에 표면경화를 수행하기 위하여 #200 ~ #1500의 순서대로 미세연마 후 거친연마의 연마가공을 실시하였으며, 다이오드 레이저의 표면경화 열처리 후에 자기냉각효과를 고려하여 $100{\times}50{\times}10$의 판재로 시험편을 제작하여 실험하였다. 소재 표면에 다이오드 레이저를 이용하여 국소부위에 표면경화 열처리를 수행하였다. 이때 다이오드 레이저의 출력과 이송속도를 공정조건으로 하여, 미세경도시험, 미세조직시험, 전자 주사 현미경(SEM), 입열량을 분석하였다. 분석 후에는 실험소재의 기계적 특성을 비교하여, 타 표면 경화법에 비해 다이오드 레이저를 이용하였을 때의 표면경화 열처리 신뢰성과 우수함 그리고 최적의 공정조건을 도출하였다. 열처리 후 경화부는 판상 마르텐사이트로 경화 되었으며. 경도값은 Hv729.5로 열처리 후 약 2.3배 이상 표면경도가 향상되있는 것을 확인하였다.

  • 본 연구의 주목적은 고속선 콘크리트 슬래브 궤도시스템에서 레일패드의 피로효과에 따른 영향을 분석하는 데에 있다. 이에 3차원 해석모델 및 실내시험을 통해 도출된 레일패드의 피로효과(경화, 스프링계수 증가)가 고속선 궤도의 역학적 거동에 미치는 영향을 분석하였다. 본 연구에서는 콘크리트 슬래브 궤도의 적정 탄성력 확보여부를 의미하는 레일패드의 적정스프링계수 산정에 관한 연구의 일환으로 고속철도 콘크리트 슬래브 궤도에 적용된 레일체결시스템에 대한 실내시험을 통한 레일패드의 정적스프링계수를 산정하고 체결시스템에 대한 피로시험을 통해 도출된 피로효과가 고려된 레일패드의 스프링계수 변화를 해석모델에 적용함으로써 향후 고속선 콘크리트 슬래브 궤도운영에서의 열차 주행안정성 확보 및 합리적인 궤도유지관리를 위한 기초데이터를 확보하고자 한다.

차체 외판 부품의 내덴트성 향상을 위한 고강도 강판의 성형에 관한 연구 (Forming of Automotive Outer Body Panel using High Strength Steel Sheet for Improving Dent Resistance)

  • Dent resistance is an important characteristic to avoid damage on automotive outer panels. From a practical point of view, dents can be caused in a number of ways. Considering doors as an example, denting can occur from stone impacts or from the careless opening of an adjacently parked vehicle door. Denting can occur where the door surface is smooth and may not have sufficient curvature to resist dent. These exterior body parts are designed to improve dent resistance using a combination of work hardening and bake hardening. In brief, dent is affected by the shape of the parts and the material properties such as yield strength, strain and thickness. In this work, forming of door outer panel is investigated by Taguchi method. Main parameters are yield strength, thickness, blank size, blank holding force and so on. For the given value of design parameters, forming analysis of the thirty six cases are carried out according to L18 orthogonal array. After comparing the performance by simple conversion of simulation results into dent resistance, the final suggestion of the forming parameters is verified for the best improvement of dent resistance.

소재 크기효과를 고려한 미세가공공정 유한요소해석 (Finite Element Analysis for Micro-Forming Process Considering the Size Effect of Materials)

  • In this work, we have employed the strain gradient plasticity theory to investigate the effect of material size on the deformation behavior in metal forming process. Flow stress is expressed in terms of strain, strain gradient (spatial derivative of strain) and intrinsic material length. The least square method coupled with strain gradient plasticity was used to calculate the components of strain gradient at each element of material. For demonstrating the size effect, the proposed approach has been applied to plane compression process and micro rolling process. Results show when the characteristic length of the material comes to the intrinsic material length, the effect of strain gradient is noteworthy. For the microcompression, the additional work hardening at higher strain gradient regions results in uniform distribution of strain. In the case of micro-rolling, the strain gradient is remarkable at the exit section where the actual reduction of the rolling finishes and subsequently strong work hardening take places at the section. This results in a considerable increase in rolling force. Rolling force with the strain gradient plasticity considered in analysis increases by 20% compared to that with conventional plasticity theory.

  • This study proposes the physical properties of the hardened lightweight cement using the polyethylene tube and to make the fundamental data regarding a new lightweight concrete development. The aerated concrete is displaying various effects such as lightweight, insulation characteristic and it is coming to be widely applied the slab layer of apartment as an insulating material but currently the aerated concrete has many problems. Therefore, demonstrating similar property of former aerated concrete and improving the defects, developing new hardened cement is needed. In this study, we predict adopting possibility of hollow core polyethylene tube, as a material to make cement hardening containing a lot of void. So we changed the mixing ratio, a diameter and length of the polyethylene tube and improved the compressive strength and unit capacity weight of the lightweight cement hardening body. From the test results, we judge that the aerated concrete is a developmental possibility.

  • In a today industry, the welding is doing a many portion in structure manufacture. This study is simulated heat of heat-effected zone and researched a mechanical properties and ultrasonic characteristic in used the SS400 and the STS304. As the result mechanical properties of steel that become drawing decreased because of remaining stress by strain gardening according as simulated heat temperature rises, but according as temperature rises in material that do simulated heat after have done annealing, mechanical propensity was improved. The velocity and attenuation become different by effect of remaining stress than effect of material internal microstructure in ultrasonic wave test. In the case of STS304, there was change in mechanical properties by effect that is by strain hardening, but there was no change in material that simulated heat after annealing. When become drawing in ultrasonic waves test, according as simulated heat temperatures rise, change of attenuation coefficient is looked, but material that simulated heat after annealing was no change almost both the volocity and attenuation.

  • The general way to process the surface by means of the laser was heat treatment for strengthening the surface hardness. They have used the laser for changing the property of the surface, especially for metal. Generally, it is recent increasing tendency to use the thin plate panel for making things smaller and lightweight. However, thin plate should be strengthened or let the thin plate panel have moment of inertia by means of engraving the groove or wave on them for lightweight and strengthening. Therefore it is expected that the thin plate panel can be harder and more stable through processing the metal surface by laser beam irradiation and the hardness of thin plate possibly can be also changed how many parts of them are harden. Through this research, it can be grasped how the hardness and mechanical characteristic changes according to width and depth of groove by laser affect the max stress by the ratio of $A_H/A_T$ (hardening area/total area) and characteristic of displacement and structural characteristic for making the thin plate harder by the strengthening metal surface of thin plate by laser through the experiment and analysis of FEA can be presented.

고강도 이온질화 기어의 개발 (Development of high-strength ion nitrided gear)

  • The heat treatment charaterristic of SCM 440 and B 16 steels has been investigated in various condition(A, B and C) to the effect of heat treatment on mechanical properties, and the following results were obtained. 1. We are obtained a good nitriding characteristic in bainitic structure than other heat treatment cycle in our experiment. 2. Fatigue characteristic has shown in order of B)C)A condition as heat treatment cycle. 3. The effective hardening depth and fatigue characteristic has been excellented in B 16 than SCM 440 after the nitriding and Q. T for Band C condition. 4. Nitriding depth has been increased in addition of Cr, V and the nitriding efficiency is increased as easiness of banite formation to wide range of cooling rate by addition of Mo. 5. The depth of compound layer in parallel surface, notched slop plane and notched bottom has been varied to the nitriding depth of 5, 4 and 3 ${\mu}$ in relatively uniform pattern after 10h nitriding treatment for SCM 440 into A condition.
