A Study on the Anti-copying method for hard copy documents (하드카피 복사방지기법에 관한 연구)

  • This paper presents a new anti-copying methode for hard copy documents. The approach protects the document and its content from unauthorized copying and forgeries, while using ordinary paper and ordinary printer. The paper copy is protected against copying as the photocopy version will appear differently when compared to the authorized printed original hard copy. The anti-copying pattern created through pointillism with a halftone cell and a spot. The proposed method is useful for unauthorized copying and forgeries with high-resolution scanners and photocopiers.

  • Eye blinking in case of three visual tasks is studied; wall hard-copy and color monitor. The eye blinking is checked by eye-status detector. The data observed are (1) the average number of eye blinking (2) the average time of eye blinking for three minutes in case of all three visual tasks. The results are as follows: (1) The average times (or numbers) of eye blinking are different among three tasks. (2) The average time (or number) of eye blinking of wall is different from hard-copy and color monitor tasks. (3) But the average time (or number) of eye blinking of hard-copy is not different from that of color monitor.

  • Recently, as the prepress mainstream is changed to the digital wolkflow, various digital proofing systems such as high price dye sublimation printers and low price ink jet printers are widely used in printing industry. Generally, CRT monitors are also often used as a soft proofing device for hard-copy image output. However, displayed color image on CRT monitor does not match to the actual color printing sheets. Because, the color space of CRT monitor used RGB color space, and it is differ with printing device color space, CMY. Therefore, proper color compensations are needed to match the colors between hard-copy proofs on the printing device and soft copy proofs on the monitor. For the proper compensation, we used LUT and gamut mapping method for color space transformation between device dependent color space and device independent color space, vis a vis. This paper shows the application method and the usefulness of CRT monitor for the soft-copy proofing using the output characteristics of printing device.

  • We suggest here a cost-effective replica fabrication method for transparent and hard molds for imprinting lithography such as NIL and S-FIL. The process starts with the use of a replica hard mold from a master, using a polymer copy as a carrier. The polymer copy as a carrier was treated by soluble process for forming anti-adhesion layer. Duplicated hard molds can eliminate direct contact between a hard master and a patterned polymer on a substrate and the generated contamination of a master during the imprinting process. The replica hard mold exhibits the glass-like properties introduced here, such as transparency and hardness, make it appropriate for nanoimprint lithography and step-and-flash imprint lithography.

  • Embedded system is widely used in various applications from simple monitor to a set-top box with CPU, memory and hard disk drives. Specially, embedded OS is ported in moveable or small machinery since it ordinarily transmits multimedia data. In this paper, we propose Null copy scheme on the embedded linux system for multimedia service, which can reduce memory copy overhead from user address space to kernel one, and vice versa. Since embedded system for networked multimedia service has low level computing power as well as memory, the Null copy scheme can provide more improved QoS. Our image transmission experiment results on embedded linux target board(CPU utilization an Deadline miss rates) installed a web camera have shown that the proposed scheme can increase fast response and lower CPU overhead.

Effecient Prefetching Scheme for Hybrid Hard Disk (하이브리드 하드디스크를 위한 효율적인 선반입 기법)

  • The Competitiveness of Hybrid hard disk drive(H-HDD) for solid state disk(SSD) comes from both lower power consumption and higher reading speed. This paper suggests a prefetching scheme that can improve the performance of Non-Volatile cache(NVCache) memory installed on the H-HDD through prefetching disk blocks as well as files to the NVCache. The proposed scheme makes the highly used data such as booting files copy to the NVCache as an unit of file and the frequently accessed blocks copy to the NVCache. This prefetching is done on the idle time of disk queue and the priorities of prefetched target blocks are based on both time and spatial locality of blocks. Experiments results show that the suggested method can improve response time of H-HDD and also lower the power consumption.

  • Digital image capturing technology has been making great progress recently, and we can now simply capture the color image by digital camera, flat-bed scanner of Photo CD system. A lot of professionals are instrested in the capability of Photo CD and other digital images in the printing and publishing industry. But these images were not processed a suitable image processing to use in the hard copy. In this paper we described a method of the digital enhancement processiing to use in the printing and publishing industry. Experimental result show that the described method was useful and valid for the digital image enhancement to use in the hard copy.

  • WWW(World Wide Web)의 발전은 인터넷의 대중화에 크게 기여를 했다. WWW은 쉬운 사용자 인터페이스와 다양한 멀티미디어 정보의 제공, 통일된 그래픽 사용자 인터페이스, 그리고 전세계 어디에서라도 손쉽게 접근할 수 있는 장점을 가지고 있다. WWW이 점차 발전하면서 인터넷을 통한 대용량의 멀티미디어 데이터의 처리가 필요하게 되었다. 이러한 변화에 따라 대용량의 데이터를 저장, 관리, 검색할 수 있는 데이터베이스 시스템과 WWW을 연결한 것이 WWW 데이터베이스이다. 본 논문에서는 기존에 서면으로 제출되어 심사되고 HARD COPY 형태로 보관되어 오던 논문심사 관리 과정을 개선하기 위해 WWW 데이터베이스를 사용한 논문심사 관리 시스템을 개발한다. WWW 데이터베이스를 사용함으로써 기존의 방법에서 발생되던 논문의 우편 전송 시간의 지연문제, 논문심사 시간의 지연문제, HARD COPY 논문 관리의 한계 등을 해결하였다. 본 논문에서 제시한 논문 심사 관리 시스템을 사용함으로써 학회 회원은 WWW을 이용해서 논문을 논문심사 관리 시스템 서버로 제출할 수 있다. 논문심사 과정의 내역이 데이터베이스에 저장되기 때문에 논문 제출자는 WWW을 이용해서 논문심사 결과를 조회할 수 있다.

Copy-move Forgery Detection Robust to Various Transformation and Degradation Attacks

  • Trying to deal with the problem of low robustness of Copy-Move Forgery Detection (CMFD) under various transformation and degradation attacks, a novel CMFD method is proposed in this paper. The main advantages of proposed work include: (1) Discrete Analytical Fourier-Mellin Transform (DAFMT) and Locality Sensitive Hashing (LSH) are combined to extract the block features and detect the potential copy-move pairs; (2) The Euclidian distance is incorporated in the pixel variance to filter out the false potential copy-move pairs in the post-verification step. In addition to extracting the effective features of an image block, the DAMFT has the properties of rotation and scale invariance. Unlike the traditional lexicographic sorting method, LSH is robust to the degradations of Gaussian noise and JEPG compression. Because most of the false copy-move pairs locate closely to each other in the spatial domain or are in the homogeneous regions, the Euclidian distance and pixel variance are employed in the post-verification step. After evaluating the proposed method by the precision-recall-$F_1$ model quantitatively based on the Image Manipulation Dataset (IMD) and Copy-Move Hard Dataset (CMHD), our method outperforms Emam et al.'s and Li et al.'s works in the recall and $F_1$ aspects.
