  • Sustainable development goals (SDGs) are designed to promote human and social development and address challenges related to sustainable economic development, in addition to creating quality employment. SDGs create new market and business opportunities that enable companies to effect business changes through innovative solutions. To tackle structural problems and create infrastructure for future societies, a national-level digital transformation strategy is being developed in Korea. The Korean government announced an investment plan for living social overhead capital (SOC) to address various social and structural problems caused by low economic growth. This study emphasizes the importance of building SOCs in accordance with the requirements of future societies. This study primarily aims to suggest business opportunities created by achieving SDGs, by analyzing business cases involving 3D printing-based construction. Implementing living SOCs through ingenious thinking will not only create new businesses and jobs through digital transformation, but also improve the economic and social value by encouraging community members to be proud of their future society.

  • Induced sputum and sputum cell count analysis is a test for the diagnosis of various respiratory diseases. In particular, it has long been used as an important biomarker in the diagnosis or characterization of asthma or eosinophilic bronchitis. Despite a relatively long history of this test, there has been no consensus report for conducting and interpreting the analyses in Korea. Based on this awareness and necessity, the Korean Academy of Asthma, Allergy and Clinical Immunology launched the Standardization Committee to review the international guidelines and the literature and to develop a consensus report on the diagnostic procedure and interpretation of the sputum induction test.

  • Chronic cough is common in the community and causes significant morbidity. Several factors may underlie this problem, but comorbid conditions located at sensory nerve endings that regulate the cough reflex, including rhinitis, rhinosinusitis, asthma, eosinophilic bronchitis, and gastroesophageal reflux disease, are considered important. However, chronic cough is frequently non-specific and accompanied by not easily identifiable causes during the initial evaluation. Therefore, there are unmet needs for developing empirical treatment and practical diagnostic approaches that can be applied in primary clinics. Meanwhile, in referral clinics, a considerable proportion of adult patients with chronic cough are unexplained or refractory to conventional treatment. The present clinical practice guidelines aim to address major clinical questions regarding empirical treatment, practical diagnostic tools for non-specific chronic cough, and available therapeutic options for chronic wet cough in children and unexplained chronic cough in adults in Korea.

  • The purpose of this study is to enrich our understanding of the family utilizing childcare by grandmothers and the elderly women by examining the experience of grandmothers who refused to support raising their grandchildren. The researcher focused on grandmothers who have been in charge of caring the family in the main and tried to explore the reasons for their decision not to take care of their grandchildren. For the purpose, Research participants were seven elderly women who have refused raising of their grand-children. Data were collected by in-depth interview and analyzed based on the phenomenological method. As results, it turned out that the elderly women refused caring of their grandchildren due to the burden of parenting and the rejection of an extended mother role, and the fear of family conflicts, but they felt sorry about their refusal of a request for caring support from their adult children. Second. these decisions caused various dynamics of the family members, and they were experiencing psychological difficulties. Third, elderly women perceived raising of grandchildren as a task of adult children or a problem for which the society should be accountable, and felt that the family and the society have shifted the responsibility to them. This research result confirms that a new generation of the elderly women have emerged who have different viewpoints on caregiving. It also presents a necessity to reflect the viewpoints of elderly who are mainly concerned when establishing a policy of caregiving. Based on this finding, this study also presents implications regarding support for family utilizing childcare by grandmothers and support for the elderly women.

  • North Korea discourse is doubtful. A considerable portion is distorted under political objectives, group identity, and interests. Surely, there are facts based on North Korea's conducts. Apparent deceptions commonly exist as well though. Korean media does not endeavor to set the records straight and there are no revision towards mislead information. This is substantially dangerous as it can misjudge North Korean policies, beget national antipathy, and interferes with rational and constructive policy making. This study stems from such concerns and takes such cases as HEU(Highly Enriched Uranium) suspicion of 2002, dispute covering BDA(Banco Delta Asia)'s counterfeiting, and the abandonment of the Geneva Agreed Framework into consideration. The first part concentrates on fathoming the truth of the three cases. References from US government, academia, think tanks, media were inquired with an addition of secondary material from Korea and China. Secondly it examines whether domestic news properly reflects the precedent facts along the process of discovery. The cause and solution suggested by domestic media were organized and inductively reconstituted to frames. The last study questions the structural factors that reproduces suspicion analogs. Today's dangers facing Korean society are essentially not natural but artificial. This research hopes to foster peace by analyzing related discourses that are infamous to reinterpret reality.

To meet the purpose of the study, the characteristics of competency based assessment and the role of assessor was reviewed, and competency assessor qualification system of both countries were analysed. Australia and Scotland have developed the certification system of competency assessor based on national qualification framework. Education and Training Institutes in both countries should meet the requirement of RTOs(Registered Training Organizations) and CRBs(Credit Rating Body), which can develop and operate assessor qualification course based NQF. Also they must ensure all assessors are qualified with competency, currency and professional development and show how they have maintained, upgraded or developed new skills relevant to the current industry needs. In recent years, Korea has been introduced competency based curriculum linked with NCS in education and training sector. Also the introduction of competency assessor qualification system are currently under consideration by government. In this circumstances, the results of comparative analysis about Australia and Scotland can help the Korean government review the policies and strategies qualifying competency assessor. They also provide some implications for exploring and examining assessor qualification system based NCS and KQF(Korean Qualification Framework) in Korea.

  • This study draws on goal orientation theory and proposes the team learning goal orientation as an antecedent of team creativity. In addition, an Input-Process-Output (IPO) model was adopted, in which the team reflexivity, team efficacy, and positive group affective tone (PGAT) are linking mechanisms in the relationship between team learning goal orientation and team creativity. Using 57 teams from three lectures of the college, hierarchical regression analysis was conducted at the team level. The results showed that the team learning goal orientation had positive associations with team creativity, team reflexivity, and team efficacy. In addition, team reflexivity and team efficacy positively predicted the team creativity. Furthermore, the relationship between team learning goal orientation and team creativity was mediated by the team reflexivity and team efficacy. In contrast to predictions, PGAT did not show significant relations with both team learning goal orientation and team creativity. In conclusion, this study integrated the team-learning goal orientation and team creativity literature and contributes to the understanding of team reflexivity as a cognitive process and team efficacy as a motivational process between the team property and team creativity. These results have practical implications for managing teams.
