  • The technical progress of wireless communication in an information-oriented society is heading for the wireless internet service. Handphone is limited in a low capacity memory, size of screen, wireless internet. But it can do service in mobile, nontheless of the time, space. This paper says that online studying in wire internet is capable of servicing in mobile environment. The way of SMS transmission in the agency is linked in the SMS agency, but the way of SMS exclusive modem does service in linking with personal computer. This paper says that the SMS service is possible with SMS exclusive modem, mirroring of the client demand in database.

Effects of Self-monitoring on Initiating Speech Behavior of the Hearing-impaired Preschoolers (자기점검법이 청각장애 유아의 자발적인 말시작 행동에 미치는 영향)

  • The purpose of the present study was to investigate the effectiveness of self-monitoring on spontaneously initiating speech behavior of the hearing-impaired preschoolers. Three hearing-impaired preschoolers were selected from a special school for the deaf. They showed some vocalizations and words under intensive instruction settings, but never spontaneously spoke as a means of communication. Multiple probe design was applied in this study. During the self-monitoring intervention, each child was trained to assess whether his own initiating speech behavior was occurred or not, and then record his own behavior's occurrence on the self-recording sheets and self-graphing sheets. The vibration of handphone was used as a tactile cue for self-monitoring. The results of the present study were as follows: (1) self-monitoring significantly increased the percentage of occurrence of spontaneously initiating speech behaviors. (2) Increased level of spontaneously initiating speech behavior were generalized into another natural instruction (cognitive) settings. (3) Increased level of spontaneously initiating speech behavior were maintained after four weeks from the termination of the intervention.

  • In this paper, to anlayze electromagnetic distribution, measure the variation of relative permittivity of Glass-epoxy substrate for Computer-main-board and Tenon substrate for handphone or PCS in the frequency range $100[MHz]{\sim}1[GHz]$, in room temperature. To measure relative permittivity, suggested the Microstripline method. As the frequency increase, the variation of relative permittivity of Glass-epoxy is bigger than Tefoln's. And simulate the electromagnetic distribution on the PCBs in the infinite region applying the open boundary condition with these results by Finite Element Method.

  • As the subscription rate to both Internet services and wireless communications services increases rapidly, traffic in the future wireless communications will be dominated by Internet applications. Current research for wireless technology is focused to the multimedia data transmission mainly for the personal computer or notebook whose display which has large display and abundant memory. But in the near future, Internet access request from the handphone or PDA device which is already spreaded in the world will be large. Special handset terminals which has small display monitor, low capacity memory and poor processing power has to be managed differently from torrent wireless communications protocols. So, WAP Forum is organized with wireless handset manufacturers in the world and the standardization process for wireless application is being actively developed. In this paper, basic model and architecture of WAP is introduced and adaptation requirements for change from HTML documents to WML formats are proposed. Also, compression ratio gained in the transform from the existing web documents to WML is shown.
