사과 과원 무인 제초를 위한 작업 경로 생성 및 경로 제어 시스템 개발 (Development of the Path Generation and Control System for Unmanned Weeding Robot in Apple Orchards)

  • Weeding in orchards is closely associated with productivity and quality. The customary weeding process is both labor-intensive and time-consuming. To solve the problems, there is need for automation of agricultural robots and machines in the agricultural field. On the other hand, orchards have complicated working areas due to narrow spaces between trees and amorphous terrain. Therefore, it is necessary to develop customized robot technology for unmanned weeding work within the department. This study developed a path generation and path control method for unmanned weeding according to the orchard environment. For this, the width of the weeding span, the number of operations, and the width of the weeding robot were used as input parameters for the orchard environment parameters. To generate a weeding path, a weeding robot was operated remotely to obtain GNSS-based location data along the superheated center line, and a driving performance test was performed based on the generated path. From the results of orchard field tests, the RMSE in weeding period sections was measured at 0.029 m, with a maximum error of 0.15 m. In the steering period within row and steering to the next row sections, the RMSE was 0.124 m, and 0.047 m, respectively.

핵의학 영상에서 계수기반 체적변화 추적에 관한 고찰 (A Study on the Tracking of Count-Based Volumetric Changes in Nuclear Medicine Imaging)

  • Purpose: Quantitative analysis through count measurement in nuclear medicine planar images is limited by analysis techniques that are useful for obtaining various clinical information or by organ overlap or artifacts in actual clinical practice. On the other hand, the use of SPECT tomography images is quantitative analysis using volume rather than planar, which is not only free from problems such as projection overlap, but also has excellent quantitative accuracy. In the use of developing SPECT quantitative analysis technology, this study aims to compare the accuracy of quantitative analysis between ROI of the conventional planar images and VOI of the SPECT tomographic images in evaluating the count change happened by the volume change of the source. Materials and Methods: A 99mTcO4- source(200.17 MBq) was filled with sterilized water in the syringe to create a phantom with an inner diameter volume of 60 cc, and a planar image and a SPECT image were obtained by reducing the volume by 15 cc (25%) respectively. ROI and VOI(threshold: 1~45%, 5% interval) were set for each image obtained to estimate true count and measure the total count, and compared with the preseted volumetric change rate(%). Results: When volume changes of 25%, 50%, and 75% occurred in the initial volume of 60 cc(100%) of the phantom, the average count changes of the measured planar image were 26.8%, 53.2%, 77.5%, and the average count changes of the SPECT image were 24.4%, 50.9%, and 76.8%. In this case, the VOI size(cm3) set showed an average change rate of 25.4%, 51.1%, and 76.6%. The highest threshold value for the accuracy of radioactive concentration by VOI size (average error -1.03%) was 35%, and the VOI size of the same threshold had an error of -17.1% on average compared to the actual volume. Conclusion: On average, the count-based volumetric change rate in nuclear medicine images was able to track changes more accurately using VOI than ROI, but there was no significant difference with relatively similar value. However, the accuracy of radioactive concentration according to individual VOI sizes did not match, but it is considered that a relatively accurate quantitative analysis can be expected when the size of VOI is set smaller than the actual volume.

제한된 환경 속에서 휴머노이드를 위한 인터랙티브 모션 리타겟팅 (Interactive Motion Retargeting for Humanoid in Constrained Environment)

  • 본 논문에서는 인체 모션 데이터를 공간적 제약이 많은 환경 속에 있는 휴머노이드의 몸체에 맞추어 리타겟팅하는 기술을 소개한다. 주어진 모션 데이터는 물체를 손으로 잡거나 장애물 사이를 피해 다니는 등의 세밀한 인터랙션을 포함하고 있다고 가정한다. 또한 휴머노이드의 관절 구조는 인체 관절 구조와 다르며 주변 환경의 모양도 원본 모션이 촬영 될 당시와 서로 다르다고 가정한다. 이러한 조건 하에서 단순히 몸체의 변화만 고려한 리타겟팅 기법을 적용한다면 원본 모션 데이터에서 나타난 인터랙션의 내용을 그대로 보존하기 어렵다. 본 논문에서는 모션 데이터를 휴머노이드 몸체에 맞게 리타겟팅하는 문제와 인터랙션의 내용을 보존하는 문제를 나누어서 독립적으로 해결하는 방법을 제안한다. 먼저 환경 모델과의 인터랙션은 무시하고 모션 데이터를 휴머노이드 몸체에 맞게 리타겟팅 한다. 다음, 환경 모델의 모양을 휴머노이드 모션에 부합하도록 변형하여 원본 데이터에서 나타난 인터랙션이 재현되도록 한다. 마지막으로 휴머노이드 몸체와 환경 모델 사이의 공간적 상관 관계에 대한 제약 조건을 설정하고 환경 모델은 다시 원래 모양으로 되돌린다. 보스턴 다이나믹 사의 아틀라스 로봇 모델을 사용한 실험을 통해 제시된 방법의 유용성을 검증하였다. 향후 모션 데이터 트레킹을 통한 휴머노이드 동작 제어 문제에 사용될 수 있을 것으로 기대된다.

지뢰탐지를 위한 GPR 시스템의 개발 (GPR Development for Landmine Detection)

  • 일본 문부과학성의 연구 지원하에 지뢰 탐지를 위한 GPR 시스템 개발에 관한 연구를 수행하였다. 2005 년도까지 두 종류의 새로운 지뢰탈지 GPR 시스템 원형의 개발을 완성하였으며 이를 ALIS (Advanced Landmine Imaging System)와 SAR-GPR (Synthetic Aperture Radar-Ground Penetrating Radar)이라고 명명하였다. ALIS는 금속탐지기와 GPR을 결합한 새로운 형태의 휴대용 지뢰탐지 시스템이다. 센서의 위치를 실시간으로 추적하는 시스템을 장착하여 센서에 감지된 신호를 실시간으로 영상화할 수 있도록 하였으며, 센서 위치의 추적은 센서의 손잡이에 장착한 CCD 카메라만을 이용하여 가능하도록 고안하였다. 그리고 GPR과 금속탐지기 신호를 CCD 카메라에 포착된 영상에 중첩하여 동시에 영상화하도록 설계하였기 때문에 매설된 탐지 목적물을 용이하게 그리고 신뢰할 만한 수준으로 탐지하고 구별할 수 있다. 2004년 12월에 아프가니스탄에서 ALIS의 현장 검증 실험을 수행하였으며, 이를 통해 이 연구에서 개발한 시스템을 이용하여 매설된 대인지뢰를 탐지할 수 있을 뿐만 아니라 대인지뢰와 금속 파편의 구분 또한 가능함을 보였다. SAR-GPR은 이동 로보트에 장착한 지뢰탐지 시스템으로 GPR과 금속탐지기 센서로 구성된다. 다수의 송, 수신 안테나로 구성된 안테나 배열을 채택하여 개선된 신호처리 기법의 적용을 가능하며, 이를 통해 좀 더 나은 지하 영상의 획득이 가능하다. SAR-GPR에 합성개구 레이다 알고리듬을 채용함으로써 원하지 않는 클러터(clutter)신호를 억제하고 불균질도가 높은 매질 내부에 매설된 목적물을 영상화할 수 있다. SAR-GPR은 새로이 개발한 휴대용 벡터 네트워크 분석기를 이용한 스텝 주파수 레이다 시스템(stepped frequency radar system)으로 6 개의 Vivaldi 안테나와 3 개의 벡터 네트워크 분석기로 구성된다. SAR-GPR의 크기는 $30cm{\times}30cm{\times}30cm$, 중량은 17 kg 정도이며 소형 무인 차량의 로보트 팔에 장착된다. 이 시스템의 현장 적용 실험은 2005 년 3 월 일본에서 성공적으로 실시된 바 있다.

Rotor Speed-based Droop of a Wind Generator in a Wind Power Plant for the Virtual Inertial Control

  • The frequency of a power system should be kept within limits to produce high-quality electricity. For a power system with a high penetration of wind generators (WGs), difficulties might arise in maintaining the frequency, because modern variable speed WGs operate based on the maximum power point tracking control scheme. On the other hand, the wind speed that arrives at a downstream WG is decreased after having passed one WG due to the wake effect. The rotor speed of each WG may be different from others. This paper proposes an algorithm for assigning the droop of each WG in a wind power plant (WPP) based on the rotor speed for the virtual inertial control considering the wake effect. It assumes that each WG in the WPP has two auxiliary loops for the virtual inertial control, i.e. the frequency deviation loop and the rate of change of frequency (ROCOF) loop. To release more kinetic energy, the proposed algorithm assigns the droop of each WG, which is the gain of the frequency deviation loop, depending on the rotor speed of each WG, while the gains for the ROCOF loop of all WGs are set to be equal. The performance of the algorithm is investigated for a model system with five synchronous generators and a WPP, which consists of 15 doubly-fed induction generators, by varying the wind direction as well as the wind speed. The results clearly indicate that the algorithm successfully reduces the frequency nadir as a WG with high wind speed releases more kinetic energy for the virtual inertial control. The algorithm might help maximize the contribution of the WPP to the frequency support.

인터모달 추진 정책과 효과에 관한 비교연구 (Comparative Study of the Effects of the Intermodal Freight Transport Policies)

  • Purpose - The Korean government has devised intermodal transportation policies and granted subsidies to shippers and logistics companies that made a conversion of transportation means through the policies. This provides support by expanding the complex uniform railroad transportation and overhauling the deteriorated railroad facilities. As for 2013, however, the freight transportation percentage of railroad was 4.5% in tons and 8.5% in ton kilometers. Meanwhile, since the 1990s, developed countries such as the U.S. and Europe have been trying to expand intermodal freight transport with a legal and institutional support to build a logistics system corresponding with social and economic environmental changes. In this study, I set out to examine the effects of the intermodal freight transport policies in the EU and the U.S., and to explore the direction of setting up a rail intermodal transport system in South Korea. Research design, data, and methodology - The paper used a qualitative research methodology through the literature review. First, was an overview of Intermodal transportation in the EU, U.S. and UN. Second, it describes the development of transport in Europe and the U.S. with particular emphasis on intermodal freight transport. Third, it explores the direction of setting up a intermodal freight transport in South Korea. The last section contains concluding remarks. Results - As for the EU, it has been promoting integration between transport and intermodal logistics network designs while utilizing ITS or ICT and supports for rail freight intermodal by giving reduction to a facilities fee or subsidizing for rail freight in order to minimize the cost of external due to freight transport. On the other hand, as for the U.S., it has been made up of an industrial-led operating project and has been promoting it to improve accessibility between intermodal hubs and cargo terminals through intermodal corridor program, and an intermodal cargo hub access corridor projects, etc. Moreover, it has tried to construct intermodal transport system using ITS or ICT and to remove Barrier. As a result, in these countries, the proportion of intermodal freight transport is going to be the second significant transport compared with rail and maritime transport. An Effective rail intermodal transport system is needed in South Korea, as seen in the case of these countries. In order to achieve this object, the following points are required to establish radical infrastructure policy; diversify investment financing measures taken under public-private partnerships, legal responsibilities, improvement of utilization of existing facilities to connect the railway terminal and truck terminal, and enhancement service competitiveness through providing cargo tracking and security information that combines the ITS and ICT. Conclusions - This study will be used as a basis for policy and support for intermodal freight transport in South Korea. In the future, it is also necessary to examine from the perspective of the shipper companies using the rail intermodal transport, ie, recognition of shipper, needed institutional supports, and transportation demand forecasting and cost-effective analysis of the railway infrastructure systems improvement.
