  • This paper presents a PLL(Phase Lock Loop) control method for speed control of high speed miniature BLDCM(Brushless DC Motor) using hall sensor. The Proposed PLL based speed control method uses a only phase shift between reference pulse signal according to speed reference and actual pulse signal from hall sensor. It doesn't use any speed calculation, and calculates a direct current reference from phase shift. The current reference is changed to reduce the phase shift between reference and actual pulse. So the actual speed can keep the reference speed. The proposed control scheme is very simple but effective speed control is possible.

  • The present study is carried out to examine the combined effect of heat absorption on flow model. The model consists of unsteady flow of a viscous, incompressible and electrically conducting fluid. The flow is along an impulsively started oscillating vertical plate with variable mass diffusion. The magnetic field is applied perpendicular to the plate. The fluid model under consideration has been solved by Laplace transform technique. The numerical data obtained is discussed with the help of graphs and table. The numerical values obtained for skin-friction have been tabulated. To shorten the lengthy equations in the solution some symbols have been assumed, which are mentioned in appendix. The appendix is included in the article as the last section of the manuscript.

  • ZTO/n-Si thin film is produced to investigate tunneling phenomena by interface characteristics by the depletion layer. For diversity of the depletion layer, the thin film of ZTO is heat treated after deposition, and the gpolarization is found to change depending on the heat treatment temperature and capacitance. The higher the heat treatment temperature is, the higher the capacitance is, because more charges are formed, the highest at $150^{\circ}C$. The capacitance decreases at $200^{\circ}C$ ZTO heat treated at $150^{\circ}C$ shows tunneling phenomena, with low non-resistance and reduced charge concentration. When the carrier concentration is low and the resistance is low, the depletion layer has an increased potential barrier, which results in a tunneling phenomenon, which results in an increase in current. However, the ZTO thin film with high charge or high resistance shows a Schottky junction feature. The reason for the great capacitance increase is the increased current due to tunneling in the depletion layer.

  • The present research is concerned with the study of Stoneley wave propagation at the interface of two dissimilar homogeneous orthotropic magneto-thermoelastic solids with fractional order theory of type GN-III with three phase-lags and combined effect of hall current and rotation. With the help of appropriate boundary conditions the secular equations of Stoneley waves are obtained in the form of determinant. The characteristics of wave such as phase velocity, attenuation coefficient and specific loss are computed numerically. The effect of rotation on the Stoneley wave's phase velocity, attenuation coefficient, specific loss, displacement components, stress components and temperature change has been depicted graphically. Some particular cases are also derived in this problem.

  • The present study deals with wave propagation in a modified couple-stress generalized thermoelastic solid under the effect of gravity and magnetic field. The problem is solved by a refined microtemperatures multi-phase-lags thermoelastic theory. The Fourier series and Laplace transforms will be used to obtain the general solution for any set of boundary conditions. Some comparisons have been shown in figures to estimate the effects of the gravity field, the magnetic field, and different theories of thermoelasticity in the presence of the hall current effect on all the physical quantities. Some particular cases of special interest have been deduced from the present investigation.

  • The present work is considered to study the two-dimensional problem in an orthotropic magneto-thermoelastic media and examined the effect of thermal phase-lags and GN-theories on Rayleigh waves in the light of fractional order theory with combined effect of rotation and hall current. The boundary conditions are used to derive the secular equations of Rayleigh waves. The wave properties such as phase velocity, attenuation coefficient are computed numerically. The numerical simulated results are presented graphically to show the effect of phase-lags and GN-theories on the Rayleigh wave phase velocity, attenuation coefficient, stress components and temperature change. Some particular cases are also discussed in the present investigation.

  • In MHD power generation system, enthalpy of the working gas is convened to electric power directly through expansion in generator channel. It means that electric power can be generated without a moving mechanical linkage such as turbine blades. The principle of MHD generation is based on Faraday'law of induction that eletromotive force(u$\times$B) is generated when the working gas of velocity u flows a channel in which magnetic field of strength(B) exists. In this paper, helium gas seeded with cesium is used as working gas. There are two types of generator in MHD generation; linear type faraday and disk type hall generator. Rogowski coils having the bandwidth of the 100(Hz) ~ 20(kHz) were used for measuring current flowing MHD disk channel. Optimum load resistor value of the MHD generator studied was 2.5[$\Omega$]. Disk type hall generator's generation performance is the main target of this paper, which superiors to linear type Faraday generator in many points. Isentropic efficiency and enthalpy extraction rate of disk type shock tube driven hall generator is discussed here.

  • This paper proposes a new position compensation method for misaligned Hall-effect sensors of BLDCM(Brushless DC Motor). If the Hall-effect sensors are installed at wrong position, the exact rotor position cannot be obtained. Therefore, when the BLDCM is controlled with this wrong position, the torque ripple can be increased and the average torque also decreases. The back-EMF of BLDCM can be obtained by using the voltage equation and by multiplying the back-EMF constant and rotor speed. At a constant speed, the estimated back-EMF by using the multiplication of the back-EMF constant and rotor speed is constant, but the estimated back-EMF from the voltage equation decreases at the commutation point because the line-to-line back-EMF of two conducting phases is start to decrease at this point. Therefore, by using the difference between these two estimated back-EMFs, the commutation point of the phase current can be determined and position compensation can be carried out. The proposed position correction method doesn't require additional hardware circuit and can be easily implemented. The validity of the proposed position compensation method is verified through several experiments.

  • Magnetoresistance and Planar Hall effect of Glass/Ni$\sub$83/Fe$\sub$17/(2 nm)/[Cu(2 nm)Ni$\sub$83/Fe$\sub$17/(20 nm)]$\sub$50/ multilayer were measured. Repeated saw tooth like planar Hall effect signal was observed in the range of magnetization reversal process, while no sign of such saw tooth was observed in Magnetoresistance diagram. For the reason of saw tooth like signal, it is supposed that subsequent abrupt domain wall motion of each magnetic layer in the process of magnetization reversal process was observed in planar Hall effect in transverse direction to the current direction. This fine structure of planar Hall effect was observed for applied fields in any direction. Magnetoresistance curve did not show this fine structure of magnetization reversal, of course, since only net magnetization of each layer has to do with the resistivity. Extended research on the reason of this sawtooth like signal should be conducted.

  • The needs of efficient electricity use and current measurement for electrical safety have been increased. Hence, the current sensor is used, especially non-contact current sensor which can measure the current without blocking the circuit using hall effect. However, the accurate measuring of the current sensor is inhibited due to the inflow of various noises in this current sensor. In this article, a stronger current sensor against the noise is proposed using low pass FIR filter to the existing current sensor. FIR filter was designed to block the range over the certain frequency at the output of the current sensor to eliminate the external noises, and so on. As a result, more accurate and close measurements were possible.
