Development of HVAC System to Lower the Conveyance Energy and Building Height

  • The new HVAC system is developed to lower the conveyance energy and building height using IAV(Increasing Air Volume) technique. IAV units which are equipped in each zone carry out air-conditioning and supply fresh air by induction of outdoor air in main duct. The design program which decides size of OAHU and IAV unit according to air conditioning load and fresh air demand of each zone is presented. The control system is developed to operate efficiently HVAC system and IAV unit, so that individual zone operation and well-deal with partial load and IAQ problem are possible. The new system is investigated in model building and makes more profit in conveyance energy. size of air conditioning facilities room and building height than VAV system. But in construction cost it is worse by about 15 percentage.

한국의 냉난방 설계용 외기조건 분석 (An Analysis of the Outdoor Design Conditions for Heating and Air Conditioning in Korea)

  • The outdoor design conditions for summer and winter are basic data required for determining the heating and cooling loads and HVAC equipment capacity. The latest study reported was based on the 1960's weather data, which is widely used by HVAC design engineers in Korea. The purpose of this paper is to update the outdoor design conditions for HVAC loads and equipments based on the weather data for the 1970's. The weather conditions of 24 sites, namely Sokcho, Chuncheon, Gangreung, Seoul, Inchon, Ulreungdo, Suweon, Seosan, Cheongju, Daejeon, Chupungryeong, Pohang, Gunsan, Daegu, Jeonju, Ulsan, Kwangju, Busan, Chungmu, Mokpo, Yeosu, Jeju, Seogwipo, and Jinju have been analyzed to calculate the outdoor design conditions. This analys is performed on the basis of TAC $1\%,\;TAC\;2.5\%,\;and\;TAC\;5\%$.

탄소저감을 위한 3D BIM 기반 건물 에너지 효율화 방안 (3D BIM-based Building Energy Efficiency Solution for Carbon Emission Reduction)

  • 본 논문에서는 건물 내 HVAC시스템의 소비에너지 효율화를 목표로 한다. 이를 위해 건물 에너지 시뮬레이션과 유전알고리즘을 이용하여 HVAC시스템 내 급기 온도에 대한 제어 스케줄을 도출하였다. 연구 대상 건물은 90년대에 지어져 BIM이 구축되어 있지 않아 대성건물의 BIM을 구축하였고, 그 정보를 에너지 시뮬레이션 프로그램에 입력하여, 대상건물에 대한 에너지 시뮬레이션 모델을 구축하였다. 또한 실측한 소비에너지양 정보와 비교하여 대상건물 에너지 시뮬레이션을 실제 에너지 소비량 유사하게 보정하였다. 수정된 건물 에너지 시뮬레이션 모델과 유전자 알고리즘을 이용하여 에너지 효율화 급기 온도 스케줄이 작성되었다. 대상 건물에 적용되었을 때 에너지 절감 효과는 3%로 나타났다. 아직 이 분야는 설비의 제어 기법에 관한 연구가 미진하고, 주로 관리자의 경험을 통해 관리되는 측면이 있어, 에너지 시뮬레이션 프로그램에 의한 기법 개발 및 그에 대한 효과의 검증을 토대로 에너지 절감 기법에 대한 연구 및 개발이 필요하다. 본 연구는 HVAC system 제어 기법에 시발점이 될 것이다.

Study on the MQTT protocol design for the application of the real-time HVAC System

  • In this paper, the existing domestic HVAC systems, devices TCP / IP does not support the most, thereby, not performed remote management, it is necessary to regularly field service, inefficiency and cost bring a burden. This is through a comparison of the IoT-based primary, real-time protocol of what has become a hot topic recently, to be able to control and real-time monitoring through the CCU device in the HVAC system. Compare for this Internet of Things device for real-time monitoring and control of the XMPP, CoAP, MQTT main real-time protocol is used on. Finally, flexibility, light weight, based on MQTT a two-way messaging protocols with reliable message delivery, implements the protocol on the real-time HVAC system in the cloud platform.

  • The purpose of this study is to development of life cycle cost analysis methodology of HVAC system for decision maker. The results of this study are as follows; maintenance/management, equipment construction, planning/design, and demolition/sell phases (1) To develop the cost breakdown structure for LCC in HVAC system, this study apply the method of additional pertinent level, title, CBS number, block number and variable index. (2) LCC analysis order of HVAC system compose four phase. (3) Life cycle costing influence diagram can bring us to make the most efficient decision through a visual graphical diagram that is shown relationship among variables and that decision maker traces easily from life cycle cost analysis situation.

  • The HVAC and the air duct is to make optimal indoor environment. By the HVAC position, method and the air duct construction, the important elements can affect on cooling performance, passengers' convenience, and energy efficiency. According to this, there are features, such as the indoor temperature distribution, cooling performance, velocity distribution from diffuser, tend to be come out variously. Also, comparing and analysing temperature distribution, cooling performance, air velocity, noise based on the real practical vehicle tests, it shows features in detail. Besides, it can lead to make design the system of HVAC & air duct effectively.

  • HVAC systems are used to maintain comfort conditions in occupied spaces. Like rolling noise and aerodynamic noise, noise from the HVAC system of train increases interior noise level. For an appropriate interior noise level, it is necessary not to find noise sources and their propagation paths. Noise emission from the sources and propagation through the propagation paths should be regulated in order to reduce their effect to the interior noise level. In general, the main noise source in the HVAC system is blower which operates at high static pressure. This noise propagates through ducts which are directly connected to the residential area. Since the blower noise can be reduced only to some degree, it is necessary for the propagation paths to have enough noise attenuation. Acoustic properties of ducts are usually found by experimental methods but it is rather difficult and expensive to set up such test equipments. In this thesis, the design and the noise characteristics of TGV-K HVAC system are studied. Finite element method in accordance with experimental method is used to study the acoustic properties of TGV-K duct system.

  • HVAC transmission lines must be designed to satisfy environmental regulations. Therefore it is necessary to pre-evaluate environmental problems for transmission line designer using prediction program. In this study, environment design software, TLCALC 2001 for transmission lines was developed as a comprehensive window program. It has 6 modules that are audible noise, radio noise, television noise, magnetic field, electric field and conductor surface gradient. TLCALC 2001 solved a few problems in use of the existing foreign tools and took several advantages. Experienced designers can get the results of calculation within about 15 minutes. Because the use of TLCALC 2001 is easy and practical, this program will be usefully applied to the environmental friendly design and construction of HVAC transmission lines. In the future, it is expected that public complaints and social environmental cost will be reduced by the use of TLCALC 2001.

전산해석에 의한 자동차용 HVAC 시스템의 성능 연구 (A Numerical Study for Performance of Automotive HVAC System)

  • In automotive air handling system, mixing of air streams by the cooler and the heater affects the comfort of cabin room. In the present study, computer-aided analysis is done to improve the thermal comfort and for the optimal design of automotive HVAC system. The simulation software used was FLUENT, and complicate geometries were created by three dimensional CAD. Air flow volume, fir distribution rate and temperature controllability and temperature differences between upper and lower discharge air are analyzed through numerical simulation at vent, floor and defrost mode. Also, velocity vector of sirocco fan is investigated through the scroll housing. The velocity vector magnitude is larger at lower region of fan than that at any other regions. Recirculation and disturbance of air is relatively high near the cut-off edge in the scroll housing. By using the results of this study, the time for prototype production can be reduced and timely decisions can be made to determine initial design directions.
