YBCO 박막형 선재를 이용한 초전도 전류제한기의 연계에 따른 고온 초전도 케이블의 사고전류 통전 특성에 관한 연구 (Study on Transport Current Properties of HTS cable connected with SFCL by using YBCO Thin Film type wire)

  • HTS(High Temperature Superconductor) cable has a high possibility of practical use due to the possibility of low voltage and high capacity transmission caused by its lower power loss than copper cable. On the other hand, when fault current occurred, resistance increase caused by superconductivity loss, the amount of power supplies has diminished, furthermore, it's necessary to take the possible danger of damage to HITS cable into account. Therefore, an effective plan for dealing with the above problem is to link HITS cable to SFCL. In this study, we researched the possibilities of normal transport current as well as the safety of HITS cable by analyzing the properties of transport current in HITS cable connected with SFCL.

HTS Broadband-Array Antenna for Satellite Communication

  • Superconducting four-element patch array antenna was designed and fabricated using $high-T_{c}$ superconducting (HTS) thin film. The array antenna has single-feed circularly polarization and a resonance frequency of 11.85 GHz fur satellite communication system. To fabricate this antenna $YBa_2$$Cu_3$$O_{7-x}$(YBCO) superconducting thin films were deposited using rf-magnetron sputtering technique. Sequential rotation technique based on radiation elements($0^{\circ}$ , $90^{\circ}$, 1$80^{\circ}$, $270^{\circ}$ phase delay) was utilized to achieve circularly polarization. Simulated and measured results, the analysis on resonant frequency(fr), return loss, and bandwidth are presented. The results show that 10 dB return loss bandwidth of the array antenna is 11.04 GHz~12.59 GHz (13.15%) and 3dB axial ratio bandwidth is 11.42~12.52 GHz (9.2%).).).

  • The superconductor characteristics of BSCCO spray films by Heat treatment was studied. $Bi_2Sr_2CaCu_2O_x$(Bi-2212) is high-Tc superconductor(HTS) coatings have been prepared by Heat treatment. Where high current carrying capabilities are required and therefore thick film and bulk material are called for, the Bi2Sr2Ca1Cu2O8-d(Bi-2212)compound has evoleved as one of the most promising. and the Bi-2212 HTS coating layer is synthesized through the peritectic reaction between Sr-Ca-Cu oxide coating layer and Bi-Cu oxide coating layer by partial melting process. The superconducting characteristics depends on the spray distance which was related to the spray particle melt. The Bi-2212 HTS layer consists of the whisker growth and secondary phase in 2212 layer were observed.

  • This paper reports a newly developed sol-gel process to synthesize dense YBCO thick films with $BaTiO_3$ additives using electrophoretic deposition and metal alkoxide sol/particle suspension, which we successfully produce dense $YBCO+BaTiO_3$ ceramics at a rather low temperature, compared with the sintering temperature used in conventional methods. The thick films of HTS were prepared by electrophoretic deposition, using pre-sintered powder with barium titanate addition in the form of $BaTi(OR)_6$ solution in suspension for electrophoresis. The conditions for applied voltage and deposition times for electrophoretic deposition of HTS thick films were studied in detail.

고온초전도체와 유전체 삽입 공동 공진기를 이용한 발진기의 위상잡음 개선에 관한 연구 (A Study on the Phase Noise Improvement of Oscillator using Dielectric-rod loaded Cavity Resonators with HIS End-plates)

  • In this paper, an oscillator using dielectric-rod loaded cavity resonators with HTS(High Temperature Superconductor) end-plates was presented. It was operated at X-band. A two port cavity resonator was incorporated into a basic feedback loop oscillator configuration. A rutile loaded cavity resonator with HTS thin film end-plates was used to provide the quality factor between $10^4$ and $10^6$. A parallel feedback oscillator was constructed with a dielectric loaded cavity resonator, an amplifier, and a directional coupler. At 300 K, the experimental results showed the phase noise of -108 dBc/Hz at a 100 kHz offset frequency. At 26 K, the results was -118.8 dBc/Hz at same offset frequency.

  • For microwave device applications, c-axis oriented high temperature superconducting YBa$_2$Cu$_3$O$_{7-{\delta}}$ (HTS-YBCO) epitaxial thin films on the r-cut sapphire substrate(Al$_2$O$_3$) were prepared. In order to reduce the lattice mismatch with a substrate and to enhance the crystallity of HTS thin films, CeO$_2$ buffer layer on the r-cut sapphire substrate was grown by the RF-magnetron sputtering. The YBCO films on the CeO$_2$ buffer layer were deposited using the pulsed-laser deposition (PLD) method. These HTS YBCO /CeO$_2$/Al$_2$O$_3$ multilayer thin films(30 $\times$ 30 mm$^2$) routinely exhibited a critical temperature(T$_{c}$) of 89 K from the R-T measurement. Using HTS YBCO/CeO$_2$ /Al$_2$O$_3$ multilayer thin film. We fabricated and characterized the microwave passive devices (planar type filters) with cryopack-age such as the coupled -line type low-pass filter (LPF) and the open-loop meander type bandpass filter (BPF).filter (BPF).).

  • 초전도체를 초고주파 소자에 응용하려고 할 경우, 초전도 전자기학의 불확실함이나 초전도 기판의 돈도 의존성은 산업 응용을 위한 안테나를 제작하는데 있어 어려움을 준다. 따라서 실제 응용을 위해서는 일반 안테나와 비교하여 정확하고 자세한 특성이 알려져야만 한다. 본 논문에서는 금 안테나와 초전도 안테나의 비교 연구를 수행하였으며 반사 손실, 특성임피던스, 효율 및 다른 다양한 특성들을 보고하였다. 본 연구에 사용된 고온초전도 박막은 $YBa_2Cu_3O_{7-x}$ (YBCO)/MgO 이며 초전도 안테나는 마이크로스트립 급전선을 방사 패치의 50 ${\Omega}$ 영역에 결합시키는 형태로 만들어졌다. 금 안테나와 초전도 안테나의 측정 결과는 이러한 구조를 이용하여 유용한 안테나가 제작될 수 있음을 보여주었다.

마이크로파 응용을 위한 고온초전도 필터 서브-시스템

  • 고온초전도 필터의 무부하 양호도 값(unloaded Q-value)이 매우 높기 때문에, 삽입손실의 증가없이 극수(pole number)를 크게 증가시킨 대역통과 및 저역통과 필터를 제작할 수 있다(현재, 70-pole 대역통과 필터가 개발). 초전도 필터는 급준한 스컷 특성과 차단대역에 대한 양호한 감쇠수준을 얻을 수 있고, 집중상수형 공진기(lumped element resonators)를 사용하거나 지연파(slow wave) 특성을 활용하면 소형화가 가능하다. 다성분계인 산화물(oxide) 고온초전체를 에피택셜 박막 및 대면적(4-인치급) 박막으로 제조함으로서 다양한 구조의 평면형(planar type) 필터 개발뿐만 아니라, 전력처리력(power handling capability)도 향상시킬 수 있게 되었다. 최근에 고온초전도 평면형 필터는 반도체 저잡음 증폭기(GaAs-based LNA), 초소형 냉각기(mini-cooler)와 집적되어 서브-시스템화되었다. 그리고 이동통신 기지국용 수신전치부(receiver front-end) 서브-시스템으로 발전하여 통신시스템의 잡음수준과 인접한 주파수 대역에 의한 전파간섭을 현저히 줄일 수 있고, 동시에 주파수 이용효율의 향상과 통신시스템의 용량증대도 가능케 하고 있다. 본고에서는 고온초전도체 필터의 원리, 종류 및 설계법, 그리고 초전도 필터의 특징과 상품화의 요구사항에 대해 알아보고, 이동통신 기지국 수신 전치부용으로 사용되고 있는 고온초전도 필터 시스템개발과 관련된 연구 및 시장 동향의 특징들을 살펴보고자 한다.

고온초전도 변압기를 위한 턴간 모델의 V-t 특성 및 생존 확률 (V-t Characteristics and Survival Probability of Turn-to-Turn Models for HTS Transformer)

  • Using multi wrapped copper by polyimide film for HTS transformer, the breakdown and V-t characteristics of two type models for turn-to-turn, one is point contact model, the other is surface contact model, were investigated under ac and impulse voltage at 77 K. A material that is Polyimide film (Kapton) 0.025 mm thickness is used for multi wrapping of the electrode. Statistical analysis of the results using Weibull distribution to examine the wrapping number effects on V-t characteristics under at voltage as well as breakdown voltage under ac and impulse voltage in $LN_2$ was carried. Also, survival analysis was performed according to the Kaplan-Meier method. The breakdown voltages for surface contact model are lower than that of the point contact model, because the contact area of surface contact model is wider than that of point contact model. At the same time, the shape parameter of the point contact model is a little bit larger than the of the surface contact model. The time to breakdown tn is decreased as the applied voltage is increased, and the lifetime indices slightly are increased as the number of layers is increased. According to the increasing applied voltage and decreasing wrapping number, the survival probability is increased.
