  • HTML5에 들어서면서 웹서비스 구현에 보편적으로 사용되는 신기술들이 속속들이 나오고 있다. 브라우저 자체적인 그래픽 구현을 위한 Canvas/SVG, 멀티미디어와 관련된 audio, video, webaudio API 등이 추가되었고, 이로 인해 HTML5는 웹 환경에 더 빠르고 정교하며 편리한 인터페이스를 제공해 주었다. 이 중 아직도 표준화가 진행 중이거나 많은 브라우저에서 지원하지 않아 섣불리 사용 할 수 없는 기술들 또한 상당 수 존재한다. 본 논문에서 HTML5기술들을 활용하여 다양한 플랫폼에서 공통적으로 동작되는 플랫폼 독립적인 음원 스트리밍 웹서비스를 개발한다.

  • 본 연구에서 개발한 포토앨범/다이어리 어플리케이션은 아기의 성장과정을 사진/음성으로 기록할 수 있는 다이어리 기능을 제공한다. 또한, 아기와 관련된 각종 기념일(생일, 예방접종일 등)에 대한 일정을 관리할 수 있다. 음성녹음도 지원하기 때문에 아기와 부모의 대화, 그리고 부모의 음성일기 등을 빠짐없이 기록할 수 있다. HTML5기반 하이브리드 애플리케이션(Hybrid Application)은 다중 플랫폼을 지원하기 때문에 한번 개발하면 여러 플랫폼에서 사용할 수 있으므로 개발비용을 절약할 수 있을 뿐더러, HTML5 Device API를 사용함으로써 네이티브 앱과 동일하게 디바이스를 제어할 수 있다. 본 연구에서는 포토앨범/다이어리 스마트폰 애플리케이션을 HTML5 개발하여 아이폰 iOS와 안드로이드를 지원하며, 다양한 스마트폰 센서/장치에 접근할 수 있도록 개발되었다.

  • 전자책이 등장한지 15년이 지났지만, 아직도 전자책 시장에는 종이책의 틀에 갇혀 글로만 쓰인 책이 가득하다. 이러한 부분을 ePub 3.0의 기반이 되는 HTML5를 이용함으로 해결할 수 있으나, HTML5 역시 아직 활발히 사용되는 기술요소가 아니기에 전자책 시장에서 멀티미디어 요소와 함께 하는 전자책을 찾기란 쉽지 않다. 본 논문에서는 HTML5를 이용하여 전자책에 멀티미디어 요소를 추가할 수 있는 Editor와 전자책을 볼 수 있는 Viewer를 실험적으로 구현해보았다. 또한, 도서 검색의 편의를 위해 도서 본문을 이용한 Semantic 검색을 구현하였다.

  • Multi-screen service is a service that consumes more than one media in a number of terminals simultaneously or discriminately. This multi-screen service has become useful due to distribute of smart TV and terminals. Also, in case of hybrid broadcasting environment that is convergence of broadcasting and communication environment, it is able to provide various user experience through contents consumed by multiple screens. In hybrid broadcasting environment, scene composition technology can be used as an element technology for multi-screen service. Using scene composition technology, multiple media can be consumed complexly through the specified presentation time and space. Thus, multi-screen service based on the scene composition technology can provide spatial and temporal control and consumption of multiple media by linkage between the terminals. However, existing scene composition technologies are not able to use easily in hybrid broadcasting because of applicable environmental constraints, the difficulty in applying the various terminal and complexity. For this problems, HTML5 can be considered. HTML5 is expected to be applied in various smart terminals commonly, and provides consumption of diverse media. So, in this paper, it proposes the scene composition and multi-screen service technology based on HTML5 that is expected be used in various smart terminals providing hybrid broadcasting environment. For this, it includes the introduction in terms of HTML5 and multi-screen service, the method of providing information related with scene composition and multi-screen service through the extention of elements and attributes in HTML5, media signaling between terminals and the method of synchronization. In addition, the proposed scene composition and multi-screen service technology based on HTML5 was verified through the implementation and experiment.

  • HTML5 has developed not to have browser dependancy considering interoperability as same as maintaining compatability with lower versions of HTML. HTML5, the newest web standardization is on going of being structured. Along with the smart phone boom, HTML5 is spotlighted because it can be applied to cross platforms in mobile web environments. Specially the local Storage that has been listed in new features in HTML5 supports offline function for web application that enables web application to be run even when the mobile is not connected to 3G or wifi. With Local storage, development of server-independent web application can be possible. However Local storage stores plaintext data in it without applying any security measure and this makes the plaintext data dangerous to security threats that are already exist in other client side storages like Cookie. In the paper we propose secure Local storage methods to offer a safe way to store and retrieve data in Local storage guaranteeing its performance. Suggested functions in this paper follow localStorage standard API and use a module that provide cryptographic function. We also prove the efficiency of suggested secure Local storage based on its performance evaluation with implementation.

  • This study designed and implemented a web-based computing environment for geovisual analytics using HTML5 canvas. The computing environment supports visualization tools and user's interaction. The visualization tools are cluster map, animated map, temporal parallel coordinate plot, and temporal heat map chart. Users can explore the temporal changes of cluster using multiple view and brushing technique. The computing environment that works well across browsers is used in the computing environment with multiple devices.

  • Real-time video communication technology of hybrid Web-based using JavaScript and HTML5 today is on the rise. Therefore, in this paper, we have studied the real-time videoo communication technology using a Web browser that supports HTML5. It has been designed and implemented a system based on HTML5 and JavaScript, allowing for video communication of real-time, such as you would using the HTTP/WebSockets and RTC API through the Web servers in the Web browser between different each other, utilizing a Web browser was. It is available in a usable terminal equipment of a Web browser PC or notebook, smart pad, such as a smart phone, which is available without installation, such as a plug-in register or another. In all environments the network is connected, it is available in all terminals use the Web browser is enabled, which will be utilized in the field of video communication in a restricted environment.

  • In order to improve user accessibility and interactivity, system scalability, service speed, and a non-standard internet web environment, we developed a Web-based geovisualization system of oceanographic information using HTML5 and dynamic particles. In particular, oceanographic and meteorological data generated from a satellite remote sensing and radar measurement and a 3-dimensioanl numerical model, has the characteristics of a heterogeneous large-capacity multi-dimensional continuous spatial and temporal variability, based on geographic information. Considering those attributes, we applied dynamic particles represent the spatial and temporal variations of vector type oceanographic data. HTML5, WebGL, Canvas, D3, and Leaflet map libraries were also applied to handle various multimedia data, graphics, map services, and location-based service as well as to implement multidimensional spatial and statistical analyses such as a UV chart.

  • Due to the development of the digital technology, the territories of broadcasting and telecommunications are being converged and there have been the efforts to eliminate the spatial and/or temporal restrictions in utilizing the services (usually implemented as applications) via various devices (e.g. smart-phone, smart TV, pad-computer, etc). In the circumstances, Web is coming to the fore as a common running platform of the services and the digital broadcasting receivers are pressed to run Web applications as well as Java applications, which are the standard of data service of the digital broadcasting. The paper introduces a platform for running HTML5-based Web applications, which is equipped with a Web kernel (an engine for running HTML5 Web applications), a Web desktop (the facilities (with an UI similar to Window OS) for managing Web applications), and SDK (a set of API's for Web application developers).
