  • In a situation of crisis, an ambulance is dispatched according to the given emergency management information system(EMIS). However, the problem of past EMIS is that they did not concentrate on the reliable communication between the ambulance and medical specialists, thereby causing some needless casualties. This paper presents HEMIS, a highly-reliable emergency management information system, to solve such flaws. The effects showed that HEMIS was superior in data packet size, data safety and quality of service(QoS) to that of typical EMIS. Therefore, HEMIS is expected to increase the quality of medical service in ambulances, thereby decreasing casualties of patients carried in ambulances.

  • Cham is the Buddhist ritual dance performed at the religious festival of Lamaism. It has been spread and performed at the Lamaist monastery of Tibet, India, Nepal, Bhutan and Monglia. The type and style of Cham are differntiated by the region and sect. However, they share the common aim of exorcising all evils symbolized by linga who resists the Buddhist dharma, and thereby celebrating the victory of Buddhism. This paper deals with the ritualistic concept and structure of Cham with a focus on Hemis Chetsu of Ladakh located at the extreme north of India. The festival is held to honor the birthday of $Padm{\bar{a}}sambhava$ who is the founder of Tibetan Buddhism in the 8th century. As a result, this paper drew the characteristics of Cham performance such as dance as the incarnation of sacred beings, ritualistic offering, visualization meditation as well as the ritual space as a mandala, the ritualistic intent of stylized acting, accumulative performance structure, the $Mahay{\bar{a}}nic$ motif of performance.

  • In u-Healthcare environment, large amounts of important vital information is processed through M2M(Machine to Machine). M2M is configured by wireless networks and has several problems for limited bandwidth and low reliability. Therefore, in this paper is proposed a method called uHLZW(u-Healthcare LZW) to improve channel efficiency to solve such problem. uHLZW algorithm has high compression ratio for vital data. The results showed that the average compression ratio of uHLZW got from 1.6 times to 4.0 times better than existing methods(Huffman and LZW compression).
