Modern society tends to bring excessive labor to people and, therefore, further health management is required. In this paper, by using the clustering technique, one of machine learning methods, we try to bring out the measure of fatigue from heart rate (HR) variation during daytime work, helping people to get high-quality of healthy and calm life.
In this study, the effects of Boshimdan, which is used in oriental medicine for the treatment of palpitation, chest discomfort, impatience, insomnia, forgetfulness ete., were tested as a part of series of experimental verification of prescriptions treatments for preventing and curing ischemic heart. The results were as follows: 1. Boshimdan did not effectively work on heart rate of the perfused rat heart. 2. Boshimdan did not effectively work on heart pressure of the perfused rat heart. 3. Boshimdan did not effectively work on flow rate of the perfused rat heart. 4. Boshimdan was not effective in activation of GOT. 5. Boshimdan was not effective in activation of GPT. 6. Boshimdan was not effective in activation of LDH. 7. Boshimdan was not effective in activation of CPK.
My prior questionnaire has applied to 12 male and 29 female adults over 30-69 years old suffering from lumbago fer 6 months at least or having diagnosis of lumbago. I had the following conclusions from physical characteristics and cardiopulmonary capacity of lumbago Patients caused by obesity 1) The rate of lipids in the body was rotated to the maximum heart rate in the male group of lumbago patients (P<0.01). 2) The rate of lipids in the body was related to the maximum intake of oxygen(O2) in the male group of lumbago patients(P<0.01). 3) The maximum heart rae was related to the maximum intake of oxygen in the male group of lumbago patients(P<0.01). 4) The rate of lipids in the body was related to the maximum intake of oxygen in the female group of lumbago patients(P<0.05). 5) The rate of lipids in the body showed no relation to the maximum heart rate in the female group of lumbago patients(P>0.05). 6) The maximum heart rate was related to the maximum intake of oxygen in the female group of lumbago patients(P<0.01). 7) The cardiovascular system showed no relation te the function of the lungs in the male and female groups of lumbago patients(P>0.05) 8) The lung capacity per second of lumbago patients(FEV $1.0\%$) measured less than normal adults. 9) The maximum intake of oxygen(V02max) and heart rate was less than normal adults. Thus I summarized the conclusion so follows: the cardiovascular system of lumbago patients showed no relation to their pulmonary function, and the rate of lipids in the body Showed a correlation with the maximum intake of oxygen but the rate of lipids in the body showed no relation to their pulmonary function.
77 cases of Aortic Valve Replacement, which were composed of 64 rheumatic valvular heart disease and 13 combined congenital heart disease, were operated at Seoul National University Hospital for Aortic valvular disease during the period from June 1968 to December 1983. Among these 64 rheumatic aortic valvular heart disease cases, 8 patients were expired during and immediate after operation and overall mortality rate was 12.5%. For more precise remarks, these patients were divided into two periodic groups, 1st period [from 1968 to 1976] and 2nd [from 1977 to 1983] when annual open heart surgery were over 100 cases, and in 1st period three of four patients were died and in 2nd period five of sixty patients were died and its mortality rate was 8.3%. There were 12 cases of postoperative complication, which were 3 cases of remaining other valvular heart disease required MVR, 2 paravalvular leaks [one of them got Redo AVR], 4 thromboembolism or problem of anticoagulant therapy, 2 late death due to SBE with replaced valve failure and one functional AS with small sized valve. Operative death was affected by pump-time and aortic cross-clamping time, heart size, Ejection Fraction, LVEDP and symptom duration, and other many factors may influence the survival rate. Improved operative technique and myocardial protection and meticulous evaluation of the preoperative patient status will make the AVR safer.
Purpose: This study was to evaluate the effects on the heart rate and respiration rate of preterm infants when providing auditory stimulation on them. Methods: The design of this study was a nonequivalent control group pretest-posttest design in a quasi experimental study. Forty preterm infants were assigned to experimental and control groups : 20 in the auditory and 20 in the control group. The data were collected from May 2014 to October. The auditory stimulation was created by using an audio music tape provided 20-minute per day for 7 consecutive days. In data analysis, SPSS WIN 21.0 program was utilized for descriptive statistics, repeated measurement anova and Mann-Whitney. Results: General characteristics of the two groups showed no significant differences, thus two groups were found to be homogenous. There were no significant differences in heart rate and respiration rate between the auditory and control groups. Conclusion: The effect of auditory stimulation for 7 days was not effective in decreasing heart rate or respiration rate in premature infants. Therefore, the type and length of music therapy must be developed for the improvement of vital signs in preterm infants who were hospitalized in a neonatal intensive care unit.
The thesis presents a system that continuously collects the human body's physiological vital information at rest with sensors and ICT information technology and predicts diabetes using the collected information. it shows the artificial neural network machine learning method and essential basic variable values. The study method analyzed the correlation between heart rate measurements of BCG and ECG sensors in 20 DM- and 15 DM+ subjects. Artificial Neural Network (ANN) machine learning program was used to predictability of diabetes. The input variables are time domain information of HRV, heart rate, heart rate variability, respiration rate, stroke volume, minimum blood pressure, highest blood pressure, age, and sex. ANN machine learning prediction accuracy is 99.53%. Thesis needs continuous research such as diabetic prediction model by BMI information, predicting cardiac dysfunction, and sleep disorder analysis model using ANN machine learning.

The aim of this paper is to develop and verify the system which can detect heart rate during exercise by using conductive fabric electrode and transportable measurement module. The experiment was performed under 4 conditions(resting, walking, jogging, running) and 18 subjects data are used. By using the ECG measurement system used in cardiac stress testing as reference value in order to verify the accuracy of the developed system, the relative error and correlation coefficient was calculated for each subject at every 3 seconds. The results have shown that the high correlation between the developed system and the reference system for detecting heart rate during exercise. Relative error and correlation coefficient are 2.27% and 0.9877, respectively. 7 subjects data are omitted in these calculations because of severe noises. Therefore, it is expected that this system could be used as a health monitoring system in ubiquitous environment in the future.

A novel heart rate estimation algorithm is presented based on normalized least-mean-square (NLMS) algorithm. This paper presented a three-step processing scheme for estimating heart rate from PPG signal with motion artifacts. The proposed active noise cancellation algorithm has low computational complexity compared to the NLMS algorithm. Experimental results show that the proposed algorithms perform similar with the previous algorithm under motion artifact noises.

Smoking of tobacco cigarettes is associated with a rise in blood pressure together with an increase in heart beat rate. This study examined the acute effect of tobacco and non-tobacco cigarette smoking on the blood pressure and heart beat rate by randomized crossover study involved 39 volunteers. In the results, systolic blood pressure and heart beat rate changes after smoking were significantly different in non-tobacco cigarette smoking group from in tobacco cigarette smoking group.

Photoplethysmography (PPG) is a simple and low-cost optical technique that can be used to detect blood volume changes in the microvascular bed of tissue. It is often used non-invasively to make measurements at the skin surface. In this paper, we described the implementation heart rate monitoring system using PPG sensor. Proposed system is collected data using PPG sensor and heart rate was detected using second derivative method. In order to verify the effectiveness of the proposed method, we performed the measurements of RR-intervals with a commercial medical device.
