In the presence of hydrogen peroxide, the effects of temperature and pH to the catalytic reaction velocity of cupric -thiocyanate and the quantities of reduction products adsorbed on the D.M.E. have been studied by polarographic method. According to these experiments, the following empirical equation has been derived for the relation among temperature $T_i$, concentration of hydrogen ion $pH_i$ and adsorbed cuprous-thiocyanate in moles/$cm^2Z_{ij}$, and rate constant log$K_{ij}$ $$log\;K_{ij}=\frac{1}{T_i}\{A(pH_j)+B\}+C(pH_j)+D$$ $$Z_{ij}=\frac{1}{T_i}\{{\alpha}(pH_j)^{\frac{1}{2}}+{\beta}\}+{\gamma}(pH_j)^{\frac{1}{2}}+{\delta}$$ where, A,B,C,D and {$\alpha},{\beta},{\gamma},{\delta}$ are constants. The Calculated values by both equations are well agreed with empirical values within 8% in the error.

국립식물검역소 인천지소에 소장중인 수입원목해충 중 나무좀류를 동정한 결과 다음과 같이 나무좀과에서 2 아과 6속 14종이 긴 나무좀에서 2아과 2속 11종이 확인되었다. The effect of reentrant type bowl geometry on combustion characteristics was investigated in a D.I. diesel engine. The main factor was the aspect ratio (Bowl Diameter / Bowl Depth) of bowl of combustion chamber, and the cylinder pressure, engine performance and emissions of the engine using the 4 kinds of the combustion chamber were meadured. Also, the combustion characteristics compared of the experimented and the calculated values which is used by the Hiroyasu's combustion model. The results are as follows; The effect of $d_c/H$ on ignition delay period are small. The smoke is corerelated to the heat release of the premixed and the diffusion combustion, i.g, the smoke decreased by decreasing the premixed combustion or increasing the diffusion combustion on cumulative heat release. The premixed combustion process has more effect than the diffusion combustion on smoke. The formal tendency of $d_c/H$ on engine performance has not appear.

This study is about the difference of South and East facing Cooling load of Apartment s Houses using Dynamic Heat-flow Calculation. Therefore, the purpose of this study is come in to use Material for the Thermal Environments of Apartment Houses. The results of the analysis are below. (1) For the peak load of degree hour; The highest is "I" unit and the next high load is H, F, E, C, B, G, D and A unit for the south facing Apartment houses. The higher load is "H" unit and the next high load is I, E, F, B, C, G, D, A Unit for the east facing Apartment houses. (2) For the total load of degree day; The highest load is "I" unit and the next high load is H, G, F, E, C, B, D and A Unit for the south facing Apartment houses. The highest load is "H" unit and the next high load is I, G, E, F, B, C, D, A Unit for the east facing Apartment houses. (3) For the total load of degree day; The highest load is "H" Unit for the east facing Apartment houses and the Lowest load is "A" Unit for the south facing Apartment houses.is "A" Unit for the south facing Apartment houses.nt houses.

보리수나무(Elaeagnus umbellata) 뿌리혹엣 분리한 공생균주인 Frankia 균주 EuIK1 게놈에 대해 K. pneumoniae의 nifH,D를 탐침으로 Southern hybridization을 수행한 결과, 3.2 Kb와 5.5 Kb BamHI 절편과 15 Kb PstI 절편이 강한 혼성화 반응을 보여 이들 절편에 nifH,D 유전자가 존재함을 확인하였다. 동일 탐침을 사용한 colony hybridization을 통해 pWE15 cosmid vector 에 작성되 게놈 library로부터 하나의 nif-클론 (pEuNIF)을 선별하였다. 이 클론을 BamHI으로 절단한 후 동일한 탐침으로 혼성화 반응을 수행한 결과, 3.2 Kb와 5.5 Kb가 강한 혼성화 반응을 보였으며, 이 결과는 게놈 혼성화 반응 결과와 일치하였다. 그러나 Frankia FaC1의 nifH 만을 탐침으로 이용한 결과 3.2Kb BamHI 절편만이 혼성화 반응을 나타내었다. 또한 3.2 Kb의 3‘ 말단과 5.5 Kb의 5’ 말단의 염기서열로부터 추론한 아미노산 서열을 ArI3의 nifD와 비교한 결과 182번부터 240번까지, 241번부터 282번까지의 아미노산 서열과 각각 매우 높은 유사성을 보였다. 이러한 결과로부터 3.2Kb 절편에는 nifH와 일부의 nifD 서열이 존재하고, 이 절편에 연속된 5.5Kb 절편에는 나머지 nifD서열이 존재함을 알 수 있었다.

We examined the species diversity of Herposiphonia on Korean coasts, based on a combination of morphology and molecular analyses of the mitochondrial COI-5P DNA barcode marker and plastid rbcL gene. We report the presence of eight species including three novel species: H. donghaensis sp. nov., H. jejuinsula sp. nov., H. sparsa sp. nov., H. caespitosa, H. fissidentoides, H. insidiosa, H. parca, and H. subdisticha. Specimens were separated into eight clades in both the COI-5P and rbcL gene analyses, with 1.3-19.6 and 6.6-15% interspecific sequence divergence, respectively. These eight species are also distinguishable by several morphological characteristics such as: branching pattern (d/i pattern in H. donghaensis sp. nov. and H. sparsa sp. nov.; d/d/d/i pattern in others), shape of determinate branch (ligulate in H. fissidentoides; terete in others), number of vegetative trichoblasts (1-2 in H. insidiosa and H. sparsa sp. nov.; 3-4 in H. caespitosa; absent in others), and number of segments and pericentral cells in determinate branches. About three novel species revealed by our analyses, H. donghaensis sp. nov. is newly discovered, and H. jejuinsula sp. nov. and H. sparsa sp. nov. were previously reported in Korea as H. nuda and H. secunda, respectively. Our results show that DNA barcoding and rbcL analyses are useful for delimiting species boundaries and discovering cryptic species diversity in the genus Herposiphonia.
