올방개 괴경 전분의 이화학적 특성 (Physicochemical Properties of Starch in Water Chestnut (Eleocharis kuroguwai Ohwi))

  • 본 연구는 다년생 잡초인 올방개 괴경의 전분에 관한 이화학적 특성을 알아보기 위하여 수행되었다. 올방개 괴경 분말의 호화 점도 특성은 최고점도 5,679, 강하점도 426이었고, 괴경 전분의 호화 개시온도는 $64.1^{\circ}C$로 낮았으며 최종온도는 $72.3^{\circ}C$이었다. 전분입자의 X-ray 회절각은 $15.18^{\circ}$, $17.13^{\circ}$, $23.1^{\circ}$에서 강한 피크를 보였으며, $18.1^{\circ}$, $20.06^{\circ}$, $26.69^{\circ}$에서 약한 피크를 보였다. 올방개 괴경 전분의 결정화율은 28.6%이고 괴경 전분 입자의 모양은 둥글면서 부분적으로 눌린형태였으며 평균 입자 크기는 $21.5{\mu}m$이었다.

테프(Eragrostis tef) 분말을 첨가한 파운드케이크의 품질 특성 및 노화 억제 분석 (Study on the Quality Characteristics and Retarding Retrogradation of Pound Cakes containing Teff (Eragrostis tef) Flour)

  • This study investigated the effects of teff flour on the properties of pound cakes. Five types of pound cakes were made by addition of 0% (Control), 5% (TF5), 10% (TF10), 15% (TF15), and 20% (TF20) of teff flour based on wheat flour. Specific gravity of pound cake batter showed no significant differences among samples as 0.54 (p<0.05). Baking loss was the highest in the control at 5.92% and the lowest in TF20 at 5.27%. Batter yield was the highest in TF20 at 94.73% and the lowest in control at 94.08%. Moisture content was the highest in TF20 at 23.68% and the lowest in control at 21.32%. pH showed no significant differences among samples at 7.61~7.65 (p<0.05). a-values of crumb significantly increased while L-values and b-values significantly decreased with added teff flour amounts. (p<0.05). ${\Delta}E$ values significantly increased with teff flour at 34.32~49.24 (p<0.05). Hardness was lowest in TF20 at $180.60g/cm^2$. Springiness was the lowest in TF20 at 85.37%. Cohesiveness showed no significant differences among samples (p<0.05). Chewiness was the lowest in TF20 at 172.17 g. Hardness more rapidly increased in control at $273.13{\sim}26,123.33g/cm^2$ than that of pound cakes with teff flour. Avrami exponent (n) was the highest in the control at 3.5987 and the lowest in TF20 at 1.2144. In sensory evaluation, flavor of TF20 was higher than that of the control at 4.43. Overall acceptability had a higher score in TF20 than in the control. It is considered that addition of 20% teff flour can improve the quality characteristics and retard retrogradation of pound cake.

정선 갓의 영양성분 및 세포기반 항산화 활성 분석 (Analysis of Nutritional Components and Cell-based Antioxidant Activity on Brassica juncea Cultivated in Jeongseon, South Korea)

  • The purpose of this study was to demonstrate the quality characteristics of Brassica juncea cultivated in Jeongseon (BJJ), South Korea. We analyzed the nutritional components and antioxidant activity of BJJ. As a result of the free sugar analysis, the contents of glucose and fructose in BJJ were $0.29{\pm}0.02g/100g$ and $0.10{\pm}0.00g/100g$, respectively. The major fatty acids were palmitic acid, octadecenoic acid and stearic acid. The palmitic acid was the highest at 31.22% of all fatty acids. The major minerals were identified as Ca, P, K, Mg and Na. The contents of vitamin $B_1$, vitamin $B_2$, vitamin $B_6$, vitamin C and vitamin E in BJJ were $0.02{\pm}0.00mg/100g$, $0.087{\pm}0.01mg/100g$, $0.02{\pm}0.00mg/100g$, $0.56{\pm}0.06mg/100g$ and $0.20{\pm}0.03mg\;{\alpha}-TE/100g$, respectively. As a result of the free amino acid analysis, total amino acid contents in BJJ were $2,801.21{\pm}115.38mg/100g$. L-proline content was the highest ($744.30{\pm}119.06mg/100g$) in BJJ. BJJ extract inhibits reactive oxygen species production in 3T3-L1 adipocytes. Also, BJJ extract exhibits a protective effect on oxidative stress in $H_2O_2$-induced human dermal fibroblast. These results indicate that BJJ comprises various valuable nutrients which can be used as functional food ingredients.

금낭화의 생육특성 및 자생지 식생조사 (Growth Characters and Vegetation Survey in Natural Habitat of Dicentra spectabilis (L.) Lem)

  • 금낭화의 적정 재배환경을 구명하기 위하여 금낭화의 자생지 식생 및 생육환경을 조사한 결과, 금낭화가 자생하고 있는 곳은 해발 630~690m의 북동사면 전석지 지역이었고, 경사도는 25$^{\circ}$~ 33$^{\circ}$ 범위이었다. 군락내 광도는 평균 14,0001ux 였으며, 생육초기에는 높았고 후기로 갈수록 광도는 낮아지는 경향이었다. 방형구당 금낭화 개체수는 평균 30개체 였으며, 전체 방형구에서 출현한 종수는 52종이었다. 이들 중 목본식 물은 신갈나무, 생강나무, 난티 잎개암 나무, 층층나무, 초본식물은 산괴불주머니, 개별꽃, 맑은대쑥, 관중, 천남성, 대사초, 홀아비꽃대가 우점하였다. 금낭화 자생지의 평균 토양 수분은 약 32.6%이었고, 토양산도는 5.1~6.0 범위이었으며, 유기물 함량은 1.70~2.20%, 인산함량은 평균 14mg/kg이었다. 치환성 양이온 용량은 칼륨 0.55me/100g, 칼슘 15.2me/100g 그리고 마그네슘이 3.3me/100g이었고, 전기전도도는 0.50~0.76dS/m 범위였다. 생육기인 5월과 6월의 평균기온은 각각 14.2$^{\circ}C$와 19.4$^{\circ}C$이었다. 조사결과 금낭화는 차광조건이 요구되고, pH 5.5 정도의 수분이 충분히 유지 되는 토양조건과 평균 14$^{\circ}C$~19$^{\circ}C$ 정도의 기온에서 좋은 생육을 하는 것으로 판단되었다.

일개 한방병원에 내원한 산욕초기 산모의 한국표준질병·사인분류 분석 (Korean Standard Classification of Diseases of Early Postpartum Women in a Korean Medicine Hospital)

  • Objectives: The purpose of this study is to collect and analyze the KCD codes applied to the treatment of 27 postpartum women who had been treated with Korean traditional medicine in a Korean medicine hospital, so that this study may be used as a basic data for setting the direction of postpartum Korean medical treatment research. Methods: It was approved by the Institutional Review Board (IRB) of ${\bigcirc}{\bigcirc}$ University medical center (IRB approval number : WSOH IRB H1708-02-01). Twenty-seven postpartum women who had been treated at ${\bigcirc}{\bigcirc}$ University medical center were received outpatient treatment for two weeks (from September 27, 2017 to January 5, 2018), and the KCD codes applied to the mothers were collected after obtaining the consent. On the day of registration of the study, the fertility, obstetric history and high-risk pregnancies were identified through an interview. Results: 1. The mean age of the 27 subjects was $33.33{\pm}3.99\;years$ old. Among the subjects, 17 mothers (63.0%) were high-risk pregnancy and 10 mothers (37.0%) were normal. 2. Among the 22 major disease categories, 8 categories were used. M code (musculoskeletal system) was used 243 times (70.85%), followed by R code (unclassified symptom) of 51 times (14.87%) and U code (special purpose code) of 23 times (6.71%). 3. The most commonly used code among the ten frequently used codes was M25.57 (joint pain, ankle and foot), a total of 47 times. Of the remaining nine codes, except for R60.1 (systemic edema) and U68.4 (The deficiency of yang in Bi), all codes were M codes (musculoskeletal system). 4. The M code (musculoskeletal system) was the most used major disease category in high-risk group, a total of 159 times. But in specific categories, the most commonly used code was R60.1 (systemic edema), a total of 28 times. 5. In normal group, the M code (musculoskeletal system) was the most used major disease category, a total of 84 times. Also, in specific categories, the most commonly used code was M25.57 (joint pain, ankle and foot), total 29 times. 6. The U code, corresponding to 'the diagnosis of childbirth and other obstetrical medical use', was used 23 times (6.71%), O code three times (0.87%) and Z code two times (0.58%), which was less than 10% of the total number of codes used. Conclusion: When analyzing KCD codes related to Korean medicine treatment for postpartum diseases, it is important to select the KCD codes that reflect the actual clinical state.

PDMS/PSF 중공사 분리막의 시간 의존적 에탄올-물 분리 거동 연구 (A Transient Separation Behavior of PDMS/PSF Hollow Fiber Membrane Modules for Ethanol-Water Mixtures)

  • 알코올의 탈수를 위하여 에너지 다소비 공정인 증류 공정을 투과증발 막 공정으로 대체하려는 연구가 많이 진행되어져 왔다. 대표적인 투과증발 막인 PDMS 분리막에 대한 시간의존적 분리 거동은 분리 메카니즘의 이해에 매우 중요하다. 따라서 본 연구에서는 50 wt% 에탄올-물 혼합용액에 대하여 50℃에서 막면적 1194 cm2인 PDMS/PSF 분리막 모듈의 시간의존적인 투과증발 분리 거동을 고찰하였다. 총 유속과 에탄올/물 분리계수는 투과증발 시간이 증가함에 따라서 초기에 증가하다가 다시 감소하였다. 초기 분리성능의 증가는 건조한 PDMS 분리막에 에탄올이 용해되는데 시간이 걸리기 때문이며, 후기 분리성능의 감소는 주입 탱크의 에탄올 농도가 시간에 따라서 감소하기 때문에 나타나는 현상이었다. 따라서 본 연구로부터 PDMS 분리막을 통한 에탄올의 투과는 용해-확산 메카니즘에 의해 발생된다는 것이 재확인되었다.

Effect of LED Light Quality and Intensity on Growth Characteristics of Ginseng Cultivated in Plastic House

  • This experiment was carried out using artificial bed soil and LED in the plastic film house(irradiation time: 07:00-17:00/day). Seedlings(n=63 per 3.3 m2) of ginseng was planted on May 17, 2018. LED was combined with red and blue light in a 3:1 ratio and irradiated with different light intensity(40-160 µmol/m2/s). Average air temperature from April to September according to the light intensity test was 20.4℃-20.9℃. Average artificial bed soil temperature was 20.1℃-21.7℃. The test area where fluorescent lamp was irradiated tended to be somewhat lower than the LED irradiation area. The chemical properties of the test soil was as follows. pH levels was 6.6-6.7, EC levels 0.9-1.3 dS/m and OM levels 30.6-32.0%. The available P2O5 contents was 73.3-302.3 mg/kg. Exchangeable cations K and Ca contents were higher than the allowable ranges and mg content was high in the fluorescent lamp treatment. The photometric characteristics of LED light intensity are as follows. The greater the light intensity, the higher the PPFD(Photosynthetic Photon Flux Density) value, illuminance and solar irradiation. Fluorescent lamp treatment had high illuminance value, but PPFD and solar irradiation were lower than LED intensity 40 µmol/m2/s treatment. The photosynthetic rate increased(2.0-3.8 µmolCO2/m2/s) as the amount of light intensity increased, peaking at 120 µmol/m2/s, and then decreasing. The SPAD (chlorophyll content) value decreased as the amount of light intensity increased, and was the highest at 36.1 in fluorescent lamp treatment. Ginseng germination started on April 5 and took 14-17 days to germinate. The overall germination rate was 68.8-73.6%. The growth of aerial parts(plant height etc.) were generally excellent in the treatment of light intensity of 120-160 µmol/m2/s. The plant height was 41.9 cm, stem length was 24.1 cm, leaf length was 9.8 cm and stem diameter was 5.6 mm. The growth of underground part (root length etc.) was the best in the treatment with 120 µmol/m2/s of light intensity. Due to the root length was long(24.8 cm) and diameter of taproot was thick(18.7 mm), the fresh root weight was the heaviest at 24.8 g. There were no disease incidence such as Alternaria blight, Gray mold and Anthracnose. Disease of Damping-off caused by Rhizoctonia solani occurred 0.6-1.5% and incidence ratio of rusty root ginseng was 30.8-62.3%. It is believed that the reason for the high incidence of rusty root ginseng is that the amount of field moisture capacity of artificial bed soil is larger than the soil. Leaf discoloration rate was 13.7-32.3%.

산화적 스트레스에 대한 생간건비탕가음양곽(生肝健脾湯加淫羊藿) (2:1)의 간보호효과 (SKT + EKE (2:1) protects oxidative stress induced-liver damage)

  • Objective : Saengkankunbi-tang (SKT) is used as a traditional Korean herbal formula for treatment of liver diseases. We investigated the hepatoprotective effects of SKT plus Epimedium koreanum Nakai (EKE) against arachidonic acid (AA) + iron-mediated cytotoxicity in HepG2 cells and carbon tetrachloride (CCl4)-mediated acute liver damage in mice. Methods : The cyto-protective effects of SKT + EKE were determined by MTT assay, western blot and fluorescence activated cell sorting analysis. In mice, blood biochemistry and western blot were assessed in CCl4-induced acute hepatic damage. The animal groups included vehicle-treated control, CCl4, SKT (200 mg/kg/day), EKE (100 mg/kg/day), SKT (200 mg/kg/day) + EKE (100 mg/kg/day) and silymarin (200 mg/kg/day). Results : In HepG2 cells, pretreatment with SKT + EKE significantly suppressed cytotoxicity induced by AA + iron and reduced the expression of proteins related to apoptosis. In addition, pretreatment with SKT + EKE significantly prevented the increase in H2O2 production, GSH depletion, and lower mitochondrial membrane potential induced by AA + iron. In CCl4-induced liver damage mice, the administration of SKT + EKE prevented the liver damage by inhibition of hepatocyte damage and expression of apoptosis proteins in liver. More importantly, in vitro and in vivo assay, SKT + EKE showed significant effect compare with SKT alone or EKE alone in all parameters. Conclusions : These results indicated that SKT + EKE could protect against oxidative stress-induced liver damage, and SKT + EKE is more effective than SKT alone or EKE alone.

야생꿩으로부터 가금티프스 억제균 Sphingomonas sanguis의 선발 및 항Salmonella 물질 생산 조건 (Isolation and Identification of Sphingomonas sanguis from Wild Pheasant and Production of Antagonistic Substance against Fowl Typhoid causing Salmonella gallinarum)

  • 가금티프스는 닭, 오리, 칠면조, 꿩 등 가금류에 Salmonella gallinarum이 원인균이 되어 발병하는 질병이다. 본 연구는 가금티프스를 방제하기 위한 생균제 개발을 위한 기초조사의 목적으로 가금티프스 원인균인 5. gallinarum 의 생육을 저해시킬 수 있는 길항균을 야생꿩에서 분리, 선발했다. 최종적으로 3종의 우수 길항균주를 선발하였으며 선발, 분리된 길항균을 동정한 결과 Ll9, L33균주는 similarity가 100%인 Sphinromonas sanguis로 동정 되었고 L50균주는 similarity가 96.2%로써 Sphinromonas sanguis의 근연종으로 동정되었다. 선발된 길항균주가 생산한 길항물질의 특성을 확인해본 결과, S. gallinarum을 저해하는 물질이 고분자성 물질이고 내열성임을 추정 할 수가 있었다. S. sanguis Ll9의 경우 배양 20시간 이후부터 길항물질이 생산되었으며 탄소원, 질소원을 각각 maltose, $(NH_4)_2SO_4$를 첨가하였을 때 가장 높은 길항력을 나타내었다. S. sanguis L33의 경우 배양 22시간 이후 부터 길항물질이 생산되었으며 탄소원, 질소원을 각각 galactose, urea를 첨가하였을 때 가장 높은 길항력을 나타내었다. S. sanguis L50은 배양 10시간 이후부터 길항물질을 생산하였으며 탄소원, 질소원을 각각 saccharose, $(NH_4)_2S_2O_8$음로 하였을 때 가장 높은 길항력을 나타내었다.

한국산 돌나물과의 화분분류학적 연구 (A Palynotaxonomic Study of the Korean Crassulaceae)

  • 한국산 돌나물과 식물 4개 속 22종 23개 표본의 화분을 광학 및 주사전자현미경으로 관찰한 결과 발아구연의 유무, 과립상 돌기의 유무는 속간의 유연 관계를, 유선상 돌기의 모양은 Sedum속내 분류군의 한계를 설정하는데 유용한 정보를 제공하였다. 한국산 돌나물과의 화분립 모양은 소립-중립이고, 세잎꿩의비름이 가장 작고 섬꿩의비름이 가장 컸으며, 화분의 극면상립은 원형이며, 적도면상은 약장구형-장구형, 발아구는 3 공구형이었다. 표면 무늬는 유선상이었고, Hylotelephium, Meterostachys, Orostachys는 발아구연과 표면에 과립상 돌기를 가진 분류군으로 기존의 분자적, 형태학적 결과와 마찬가지로 위 분류 군들이 매우 유연 관계가 깊은 군임을 지지한다. 유집분석 결과, Sedum속은 유선상 돌기 상면이 둥근 군과 평평한 군으로 나누어지고, 유선상 돌기 상면이 둥근 군 중에서 표면에 과립상 돌기를 가진 군인 섬기린초, 애기기린초와 과립상 돌기를 가지지 않은 군으로 뚜렷하게 나누어진다. 또한 Sedum속에 속하는 종들이 여러개의 유집으로 흩어져 있어 Sedum속을 세분화할 필요가 있다고 한 기존의 연구 결과와도 일치하고 있다. 종간의 유연 관계에 있어서도 Aizoon아속 내 기린초와 애기기린초는 유일하게 과립상 돌기가 표면에 존재하고 있어 이들이 매우 가까운 유연 관계임을 시사하고 있으며, Sedum아속에 포함시켰던 S. polytrichoides 가 Meterostachys, Hylotelephium, Orostachys속 종과 유집 되고 있어 본 종의 분류학적 위치가 재고되어야 할 것으로 생각된다. 정동진에서 채집된 O. malacophyllus의 경우, 현재까지 한국에 보고된 동일종의 집단과 형태적으로 차이가 있을 뿐 아니라 화분 형태적으로도 뚜렷한 차이가 있어 두 집단이 서로 다른 종일 가능성이 있다 고 판단된다.
