A New DC-DC Full-Bridge Converter with Using Regenerative Transformer (회생변압기를 이용한 새로운 전력회수형 풀브리지 컨버터)

  • A novel full-bridge converter with a new energy-recovery driver implemented a regenerative transformer is proposed to improve the efficiency for wide input voltage range and load variation. The main switches achieve ZVS independent of the load current condition. During the free wheeling period, conduction loss is minimized by recovering the circulating energy to the source. The principle of operation, design consideration and experimental result, including efficiency, are presented in the case of large variation of the input voltage or load. A proposed 1kW converter prototype is compared with a PS-FB converter.

  • This paper suggests a new modulation strategy for step pulse type multi-level inverter. The proposed strategy is simple to determine the switching angles without regard to increase of levels. Designed to extract the equivalent RMS value compared to ideal sine wave from inverter, it can be applied effectively to high level step pulse inverter. Also this paper proposed modulation strategy for modified H-bridge 13 level inverter which has different cell source voltages with simulation and experiment. The modulation characteristics from simulation and experiment, agreed very well with tracing sine wave about modified structure of cascaded H-bridge multi-level inverter.

  • In case that conventional PRC(Pseudo-Randomized Frequency Carrier) modulation scheme is applied to a three-phase HBML(H-Bridge Multi-Level Inverter), the dominant harmonics spectra appear at twice switching frequency. In this paper, the dominant harmonics spectra spreading effect of the conventional PRC scheme was improved by using three stage MUXs(Multiplexers) and two triangular carriers with fixed frequency which has mutual relation of the twice frequency. To confirm the validity of the improved PRC scheme, the experiment were performed on a 1.5[kw] three-phase HBML based induction motor drives. And, the harmonics spectra of the conventional and improved PRC schemes are compared and discussed.

  • Trioctylamine-and tricaprylylmethylammonium chloride-tungstate salts have been prepared by solvent extraction from the sodium tungstate solution of various acidities(pH = 2, 4, 6). The molecular weights of the amine-tungstate salts thus obtained could be cryoscopically measured in benzene by means of a home-built Wheatstone bridge utilizing thermistor with sensitivity of 1/$4000^{\circ}C$. The cryoscopic data along with the results of chemical analysis and infrared spectra of the salts indicate that the amine-tungstates prepared at pH = 2 and 4 are all metatungstate whereas the salt obtained at pH = 6 is an unknown form quite different from the expected paratungstate.R = 0.14. By hydrogen bonding a guanidyl nitrogen of a sulfaguanidine molecule is linked to the sulfonyl oxygens of the other molecules indirectly through two different water molecules. The role of water molecule is both a .nor and an acceptor in hydrogen-bonding formation and these hydrogen bonds are tetrahedrally o?ented. The hydrogen-bonding networks form infinite molecular layers parallel to (001) plane.

  • This paper presents a new circuit topology of the half-bridge resonant inverter. As the proposed half-bridge inverter can be operated in the load freewheeling modes, pulse width modulation (PWM) control method can be used for the output power control. The proposed half-bridge inverter should keep unity output displacement factor under the load-impedance varying conditions, if a new PWM control scheme based on the resonant frequency tracking algorithm is adopted. In this paper, electrical characteristics, and losses analysis of the proposed half-bridge resonant inverter are described. Simulation and experimental results of the prototype experimental setup to verify the validity of the proposed half-bridge resonant inverter are presented and discussed.

  • This paper deals with the operational characteristics of the three-phase modified bridge type fault current limiter(FCL) for 3.3kV/200A power system. This is a preliminary step to develop the FCL's faculties for an application to high voltage transmission line. A three-phase modified bridge type FCL consists of transformers, diodes, and a high-Tc superconducting coil. As the results of simulations, when the FCL of 1.5H inductance was installed in the power system. the fault current was reduced to be about 90% of that without FCL.

  • Recently, a fuel cell with low voltage and high current of electronic output characteristics is remarkable for new generation system. It needs both a dc-dc boost converter and do-ac inverter to be used in domestic power. Therefore, this paper presents do-dc boost converter with ZVS for fuel cell generation system This topology has several advantages, which are ZVS characteristics of all of main and auxiliary switches, reduction of reactor component size because of high frequency switching, and low rated voltage stress of the switches. In this paper, theoretical analysis, operation principle, and design procedures are presented. And simulation results from Pspice are presented to validate the theoretical analysis.

  • The conventional strain measuring device is costly and complicated - it is not simple to understand its structure. Hence, strain gage and the A/D converter are assembled to come up with a load and a strain measuring device. The device was tested for measuring the strain in a loaded specimen and the experimental results were compared to those obtained by a commercial strain indicator.

  • 최근 화석연료의 고갈 및 이산화탄소의 증가로 인한 신재생에너지의 필요성이 대두되고 있다. 태양광에너지와 풍력에너지는 신재생에너지 발전 중에서 대부분을 차지하고 있으며, 이러한 에너지를 필요한 형태인 전기에너지로 변환하기 위해서는 인버터가 필수적이다. 인버터의 PWM 기법은 지난 수년간 인버터의 핵심요소로써 많은 연구가 진행되어 왔다. 이러한 다양한 PWM 기법의 선택에 따라 인버터의 특성 및 성능이 달라진다. 본 논문에서는 인버터의 특성을 개선하기 위해 새로운 가변주파수 변조기법을 제안한다. 제안된 방법은 기존방식에 비해 스위칭 횟수를 줄임으로서 스위칭 손실을 줄이고 효율을 향상 시킬 수 있다. 제안된 방식은 PSIM 시뮬레이션을 통하여 풀 브리지 단상인버터에 적용하여 타당성을 검증하였다.

  • In this paper, as a part of studying the fast battery charger, designed the charging system by applying dual converter. This dual converter was applied to the charging system for reducing time by dividing high current which prevents the damage of parts from heating of components. In this paper continued the task by switching the topology of the dual converter for fast charging battery into SISO, PISO, and PIPO. The study to derive the optimized system topology by analyzing the efficiency of charging system.
