Objective: This case presents the effects of Gyejibanhasaenggang-tang, acupuncture, and moxibustion on functional dyspepsia.Method: A patient was treated with herbal medicine, acupuncture, and moxibustion. Functional dyspepsia-related quality of life (FD-QoL), the gastrointestinal symptom rating scale (GSRS), and the gastrointestinal scale (GIS) were assessed for evaluation.Results: Symptoms of functional dyspepsia improved after the 22 days of Gyejibanhasaenggang-tang treatment.Conclusion: This case suggests that the combination of Gyejibanhasaenggang-tang, acupuncture, and moxibustion could be effective in treating functional dyspepsia.

1. Objective This study is about a Soeumin patient who had Yul Gyuk similarity with anorexia, nausea, sialism. In this study, we report the effects of Sasang constitutional treatment to this patient. 2. Methods This patient was treated by Soeumin's constitutional medications and acupunture according to the result of Sasang constitutional diagnosis. 3. Results and Conclusions This patient's chief complaints were anorexia, nausea, and sialism. By using Gyejibanhasaenggang-tang mainly, he showed positive response about his symptom. This study shows that Gyejibanhasaenggang-tang has effect to Yul Gyuk similarity in Soeumin.

Objective: The purpose of this case study was to report the effects of Korean medicine treatment on a patient diagnosed with postgastrectomy syndrome (PGS). Methods: The patient was treated with herbal medicine, acupuncture, and moxibustion in combination with Western medicine for 3 months. Results: Though abdominal tenderness was maintained at a similar level, other clinical symptoms (epigastric pain, globus pharyngis, and epigastric pain) were improved after Korean medicine treatment. Conclusions: These results suggest that the need to promote practical research on PGS, should receive greater attention in the Korean medical community.
