근대 시기(1920~1980) 전라남도 구례군의 전통 삼베 수공업 생산 방식의 특징과 변화 (The characteristics and changes of traditional hemp textile production of Gurye at Jeollanam-do in modern times (1920s~1980s))

  • This study investigated the characteristics of and changes in hemp textile production practices at Gurye in Jeollanam-do in modern times. To do this, in this study, both a literature review and fieldwork research were utilized as research methods. The literature review focused on Gurye's hemp data, and the fieldwork research involved two separate trials. Male and Female residents of Gurye who had experience in the area of hemp production from the 1920s to the 1980s participated in this study. The results were as follows. First, regarding hemp fiber cultivation in Gurye, hemp cultivation continued to the 1970s and there were no changes in hemp cultivation practices during the Japanese colonial-era. Second, there have been very important changes in hemp kilns over time. In the 1950s, there were both single-body kilns and separate-body kilns in Gurye. Later, specifically in the 1950s, a new type of kiln using an iron pot appeared, and the most modern kilns were concrete structures. Third, in Gurye, women cooperatively removed hemp husks immediately after stemming, subsequently bleaching the hemp by soaking it in lye or caustic soda. Over time, there have been changes in ash types and in soaking periods. Fourth, loom types changed from the traditional Korean back-strap loom to the treadle loom in the 1930s- to 1940s. Fifth, since the 1970s, the hemp textile output levels of Gurye have been reduced due to the westernization of clothing styles, the inflow of Chinese hemp fiber and government regulations pertaining to hemp cultivation.

  • This study investigated the characteristics of cotton production of Damyang-gun & Hwasun-gun, Yeongsan River compared with that of Gurye-gun, Seomjingang River in modern times. To do this, research method was both literature and fieldwork research, results were as follows. First, as for cotton fiber cultivation in Damyang-gun & Hwasun-gun, Chinese cotton (在來綿) has been cultivated during Japanese Colonial era unlike Gurye-gun. Especially, Yellow cotton (黃綿) has been cultivated in Hwasungun. Second, as for spinning in Damyang-gun, Hwasun-gun and Gurye-gun, some of cotton spinning process have been gradually changed to mechanization by market shop equipped with mechanized cotton gin and cotton whipping tool since Japanese colonial era. Third, the loom types also, like spinning tools, have been changed from the traditional Korean back-strap loom to the treadle loom in Damyang-gun, Hwasungun and Gurye-gun. Chemical dyeing with chemical dyestuff also has been done since Japanese Colonial era. Fourth, since the 1970s, the outputs of cotton production have been reduced in both Damyang-gun & Hwasun-gun. For Damyang-gun, this has been connected with bamboo craft since the Joseon Dynasty period. So, Damyang-gun has more concentrated on bamboo craft than cotton production. For Hwasun-gun, since Japanese Colonial era, sericulture has been very important. So, Hwasun-gun also has more concentrated on sericulture than cotton production. The main reason to discontinue cotton production in Damyang-gun, Hwasun-gun and Gurye-gun was related to the local choice like economic added value.

백악기 구례분지 구례층군의 쇄설성 저어콘 U-Pb 연대: 퇴적시기와 퇴적물 기원지에 대한 의미 (Detrital Zircon U-Pb Ages of the Cretaceous Gurye Group, Gurye Basin, Korea: Implications for the Depositional Age and Provenance)

  • 백악기 구례분지 구례층군에 대한 쇄설성 저어콘 레이저삭박 다검출기 유도결합플라즈마 질량분석기(LA-MC-ICP-MS) U-Pb 연대측정을 수행하였다. 구례층군은 하부로부터 수평리층, 금정리층, 토금층, 오봉산층으로 구성되며, 이번 연구에서는 연대측정을 위해 총 5개의 시료를 채취하였다. 그 결과 구례층군의 최하부 지층인 수평리층과 최상부 지층인 오봉산층에서는 각각 선캄브리아시대와 후기 백악기 저어콘들만이 산출되어 비교적 좁은 연대 분포 범위를 보였다. 그러나, 금정리층 상하부와 토금층에서는 선캄브리아시대부터 백악기까지의 비교적 넓은 저어콘 연대 분포를 나타냈다. 백악기 저어콘이 산출되지 않은 수평리층을 제외한 각 퇴적층의 가장 젊은 쇄설성 저어콘 U-Pb 연령은 금정리층 하부에서 약 107.4 Ma, 금정리층 상부에서 약 104.6 Ma, 토금층에서 약 97.7 Ma, 오봉산층에서 약 88.5 Ma로 계산되었다. 이는 구례층군의 퇴적시기가 대략 전기 백악기 말의 알바절(Albian)에서 후기 백악기의 코냑절(Coniacian)로 제한될 수 있음을 지시한다. 또한 각 지층별 쇄설성 저어콘 연령 분포에 근거한 구례층군 퇴적물 기원지는 분지의 진화 과정 동안 인근의 영남육괴에서부터 옥천대의 일부까지 확장되어 변화했을 것으로 해석되며, 구례층군을 구성하는 퇴적층들의 백악기 저어콘 산출 양상은 백악기 동안 고태평양판의 슬랩 퇴각 작용을 잘 반영하는 것으로 보인다.

  • This study investigated the characteristics and changes of cotton and silk textile production in Honam district, especially in Gurye, Jella Province from the 1930s to the 1980s. To do this, research method in this study was both literature and fieldwork research and results were as follows. First, in terms of cotton fiber cultivation of Gurye, Chinese Cotton(在來綿) has been substituted for America Cotton(陸地綿) and additionally, Yellow Cotton (黃綿) has been cultivated in the 1930s. Also, in terms of silk fiber cultivation of Gurye, Joseon Silkworm has been substituted for Japanese Silkworm by inflowing the Japanese mulberry tree. Second, in terms of spinning method, cotton spinning has been conducted at every house by an individual tool from the 1930s to the 1950s and has been gradually changed to mechanization by market shop equipped with mechanized cotton gin and cotton whipping tool. However, there have been no changes in silk spinning method from the 1930s to the 1980s. Third, loom type has been changed from the traditional Korean back-strap loom to the treadle loom between the 1930s and the 1940s. Fourth, dyeing was conducted by chemical dyestuff after weaving. The circulation of textile was done through the joint market by Japan in the 1930s~1950s and has changed to the market sales by producers since the 1950s. Fifth, since the 1970s, the outputs of cotton and silk textile of Gurye have been reduced. This was connected with the westernization and the inflow of the synthetic fiber and cloth in cotton and was related to the changes of the nation policy and silk fiber inflow from the china to the Korean farm villages.

스토리텔링을 활용한 호남지역 장수밥상 콘텐츠 개발 - 전북 진안·전남 구례군 중심으로 - (Development of Local Food Content in Jinan-Gun and Gurye-Gun through Storytelling)

  • The purpose of this study was to develop cultural food contents from local dishes related to the historical and cultural heritage in the representative areas of Gurye and Jinan. The information on 'Story' was collected from each region's representative local native journal, searches of related web-sites, analysis of old literature, and interviews of traditional households. 'Telling', the conveyance, was focused on texts of literature analysis, which were synthesized from historical conditions, regional food materials, cuisine, regional symbolism, etc. The created food contents were displayed with balanced and healthy Korean food dishes after nutritional analysis. In Gurye, the content was extracted from the story of Hwang hyun (黃玹, 1855-1910) - figura of Gurye - and his collection, "Maecheonyarok", and the storytelling native food was prepared. In Jinan, the content was extracted from the text of an anecdote from "filial son Kwang-beom Lee", a local journal. We tried to express Gurye's clean image in connection with the patriot - Hwang hyun (his nick name was Maecheon), in the late period of Chosun through the unprocessed and simple nature of the dining table. As in Jinan's storytelling materials, we tried to express a healthy menu of health food for older people based on the clean nature and documents about the real character's filial behavior. The developed healthy menu and dining table properties in this study have been established in accordance with nutrient intake standards of energy in Korea.

산수유와 정금나무 열매로 제조한 푸딩의 품질특성 (Quality Characteristics of Pudding Using Fruit of Corni Fructus and Vaccinium Oldhamii Miq.)

  • Purpose: This study chose Vaccinium oldhamii as a material to complement the redness of Sansuyu, which is unstable to heat, to Sansuyu pudding. Methods: The level of browning and hunter color of Corni fructus juice supernatant (CFS) and Vaccinium oldhamii extract (VOE) were examined and dependent on heating time and storage period. Results: A value (redness) of VOE was high, browning was moderate during the storage period, and though the storage period was extended, the value stayed stable, meaning overall redness was maintained. With the increase in the amount of added VOD, the color preference of Sansuyu pudding, and D (VOE 10.0%) was marked the highest at 5.80. As for the preference of texture, B (VOE not added) was the highest at 5.35, but C (VOE 5.0%) was marked the highest at 5.10 for overall preference. The DPPH radical scavenging ability of Sansuyu pudding was 15.86-21.39% at a concentration of 1,000 ppm, and the total polyphenol content was 136.76-139.62 mg/100 g. Since the redness of Sansuyu is unstable to heat and then is heated, its degree of browning and b value (degree of yellowness) increases. Conclusion: So if a material with a red color that is stable to heat is added to Sansuyu, the preference of Sansuyu products will improve.

쑥부쟁이를 활용한 나물김부각 제조 및 품질특성 (Preparation and Quality Characteristics of Namul-kim bugak Using Aster yomena)

  • 본 연구는 김부각(KB), 쑥부쟁이 나물부각(SB), 쑥부쟁이 나물김부각(NB)을 제조하여 품질특성을 조사하였다. NB는 쑥부쟁이 나물을 잘게 썰어 들깨 양념하여 김에 부착시켜 찹쌀풀을 발라 부각으로 제조 한 후 동결 건조하였다. KB보다 SB와 NB의 기름 흡유율이 높아 나물의 기름 흡수가 많았다. SB의 DPPH radical 소거능이 가장 높게 측정되었으며 KB 보다는 NB가 높게 측정되어 나물이 김보다 항산화능이 높았다. 저장기간이 길어질수록 수분함량은 증가하는 반면 최대하중, 항복응력 및 경도는 감소하는 경향이었다. 전반적인 기호도는 NB>KB>SB 순이었고, NB와 SB 간 유의한 차이가 있었다. $25^{\circ}C$에서 40일 저장한 NB의 산가 및 과산화물가는 점차 증가하는 경향이었으나, 산패의 기준에는 못 미쳤다. 따라서, $25^{\circ}C$ 이하에서 40일까지는 저장 가능할 것으로 판단되며, 쑥부쟁이뿐만 아니라 기능성이 입증된 다양한 나물을 첨가한 부각을 제조한다면 다양한 소비자 기호도를 충족시킬 수 있는 부각제조가 가능할 수 있을 것으로 본다.

산수유 분말 첨가 머핀의 품질특성 (Quality Characteristics of Muffin with Added Corni fructus Powder)

  • The purpose of this study was to examine the qualities of muffins made with 0, 2, 4, 6, and 8% Corni fructus powder. The height of the muffins did not significantly differ between the sample groups; however, the weight of the control group was higher than that of the test samples containing Corni fructus powder. The volume and specific loaf volume of muffins decreased with the addition of Corni fructus powder. The baking loss of the samples containing Corni fructus powder was also higher than that of the control group. The moisture content of the control group was 19.88%, whereas that of the test samples ranged from 16.72~21.01%. The pH of batters and muffins of the test samples were lower than those of the control group. For DPPH radical scavenging activity, the control group measured 11.46%, whereas the test samples ranged from 22.63~53.33%. The L and b values of the crust and crumbs decreased, but the a value was increased significantly by the addition of Corni fructus powder. Examination of the textural properties revealed the hardness, gumminess and brittleness of muffins containing Corni fructus powder were significantly higher than those of the control group. In term of overall preference, the sensory evaluation scores of groups containing 2% and 4% of Corni fructus powder did not show significant differences compared to the control group. Based on the above results, using Corni fructus powder at less than 4% would be appropriate for making muffins.

구례지역 하상퇴적물의 지질집단별 자연배경치에 대한 연구 (The Study of Natural Background of Geologic Units for Stream Sediments in the Gurye Area)

  • 구례지역의 1차 수계를 대상으로 하상퇴적물을 채취하여 지질집단별 주성분 및 미량성분원소의 자연배경치를 설정하고자 하였다. 하상퇴적물은 구례지형도에서 오염의 우려가 없고 단일지질로 구성된 집수분지를 대표할 수 있는 시료를 1999년 4월과 5월에 걸쳐 채취하였고 화학분석을 실시하였다 유해원소들의 부화정도를 알아보기 위해 tolerable level윽 이용하여 살펴본 결과 일부 지역에서 Ni과 Cr의 함량이 tolerable love의 허용한계치를 초과하는 것으로 나타나는데, 이는 이들 지역의 기반암인 변성암류의 영향으로 인한 것으로 판단된다. 유해금속원소의 종합적인 부화양상을 규명하기 위하여 tolerable level을 이용하여 부화지수를 산출한 격과, 화강편마암지역은 0.39, 반상변정질화강편 마암지역은 0.32, 흑운모편마암지역은 0.42, 혼성편마암지역은 0.41, 응회암지역은 0.30, 안산암지역은 0.46, 역암지역은 0.42, 화강암지역은 0.26으로 매우 낮은 부화지수를 보여주고 있는 것으로 보아 연구지역의 자연배경치는 유해금속원소의 오염에 노출되지 않은 것으로 판단된다.

농촌다움 개념에 기반한 창조적 공간 조성사례 연구 - 구례 자연드림파크를 대상으로 - (A Study on Case of Creative Space Creation Based on the Concept of New Ruralism - Focusing on the Case of Gurye Naturaldream Park -)

  • Korea's rapid urbanization caused problems, such as destruction of the rural environment, loss of traditional culture and dissolution of communities, as the continuous outflow of the population from rural areas, aging and consequent labor shortages and deterioration of the living environment were connected like a vicious cycle. In order to solve the problems of rural areas and overcome their vulnerabilities, the ultimate goal is to find a way to reintroduce the population to the rural areas. In order to be reborn as a space with rural characteristics and pluralistic functions and various potentials in a space under threat of underdevelopment and extinction, the pushing factor from rural areas is improved, and the population inflow factor to the rural areas is improved to enhance rural attractiveness, focusing on creativity among the 4Cs of New Ruralism: Conservation, Cultivation, Community, Creativity. A case study of 'Creative space in rural areas' was studied and considered. In-depth interviews were conducted with four key stakeholders, and the research results were analyzed focusing on the grounded theory method to draw implications from the background of Gurye Natural Dream Park, characteristics that can be viewed as creative spaces, and examples of creative space creation in rural areas. The 'Creative space in rural areas' is a space that can solve the current issues and problems of rural areas. In the case of Gurye Natural Dream Park, the young population of Gurye is increasing through job creation, provision of living and cultural service facilities, and improvement of the education and medical environment. In this study, the existing rural problem-solving process in this process was viewed as creativity in rural areas.
