Railway route maps including subways is a guide map which offers transport information as well as cartographic diagrams and is not only a way of communication, but it should give also concrete image and pleasing form. The elements of route map should meet satisfaction requirement condition and design attributes with aesthetic principles. To guide passengers by giving geographic information effectively, we need to understanding the following concepts and its application of basic elements such as expressing its structure and value. Therefore it should appear as a diagram with typography, form, symbols and colour. This means the aim of a good visualization should be done by a method that is concrete and a synthesis of well composed elements.

The ubiquitous environment is to support people in their everyday life in an inconspicuous and unobtrusive way. This environment requires information such as the person, his/her preferences, and habits which is available in the ubiquitous system. In this paper, we propose the context aware system that can provide the tailored information service for user in ubiquitous computing environment. Our system architecture is divided into 4 domain models such as context awareness, presentation, interface and inference domain. Each domain model can perform some predefined tasks independently. And we suggest the hybrid algorithm combined with fuzzy and Bayesian method in order to reason what is the suitable information for user. We show the possibility for the real application through applying the system to the TGA (Tour Guide Assistant) for Kyoungju historical site.

Light Guide Plate (LGP) of LCD-BLU(Back Light Unit) is manufactured by forming optical pattern with $5\~100um$ in diameter on the LGP by means of sand blasting or etching method. However, in order to improve the luminance of LCD-LGP, the design of optical pattern has introduced UV inclined-exposure process in this study. This micro-optical pattern, which has asymmetric elliptical column shaped pattern, can change low viewing-angle to high viewing-angle, as well as it contribute to diffusion of light. As a result, this type of micro-optical pattern can introduce the highly luminance. The PR structure obtained in the stage of lithography has asymmetric elliptical column shape and it is processed into a micro-optical pattern. Optical design with this kind of micro-optical pattern, mold fabrication by electroplating and LGP molding with injection molding are under way.

This study intended to search for the way of NIE use as follows: 1) Setting up theoretical base about the way of NIE use to math loaming in primary school. 2) Analyzing the course mathematising through NIE use in math learning in practice. 3) Searching for the way of NIE use to aim at mathematising. As the result, this presented NIE model for mathematising according to the character of each step of the mathematising course. This paper says two things : The first, the way for using learning materials as reonstructing articles of newspapers to teach math learning 1) is searched for each information, scrapped to materialize. 2)is to extract the contents of NIE teaming available to the field and the unit of math curriculum. 3) searches for and applies the model for math NIE teaming. 4) makes up learning materials for each level using articles and presents the matters of deepening and supplement suitable for students. The second, the way for teaching math NIE with a view to helping students' mathematising during the course of teachers' math teaming. 1) reconstructs materials chosen by students' reality. 2) should offer students' communication and abundant context materials which mathematical model is possible. 3)needs to guide students to have motivation teaming so that they can mathematise their real matters by rediscovery 4) progresses mathematical activity using newspapers so that they can apply to new reality by applying informed Idea.

A Beam String Structure (BSS) is a type of hybrid structures, which is composed of upper structural members, lower strings, and struts. Due to the advantages that the pre-tensioned strings elicit pre-caber of the upper structural members, the deflection can be greatly reduced without increasing the structural member size. In this study, a two-way beam string structure is proposed to endure bi-directional loading. The two-way beam string structure consists of two cable parts, namely, sagging and arch-shaped cables. A parametric study is presented aimed at proposing design guide lines of the two-way beam string structures. Numerical finite element analyses through the ABAQUS package were implemented to obtain their behaviors.

The purpose of this study is to prove that a tourism is not a personal act but a social product, through the examination of 'disciplinary power' existing in Vietnam package tour. The results are summarized as follows: A tour guide, together with the tourist agency, was the agent of the tourism. He exercised power by using surveillance, punishment, partition, and so on. Tourists were the target at first as they were under surveillance of the guide. However, they became self-regulatory actors, which is so called 'modern tourists' in this paper, by learning and internalizing how to be empowered. In this way, a tourist was transformed into the agent of the tourism finally. Power was not owned either by a guide or a tourist, rather it existed as guide tourist relations. Power was not restricted to a specific tourism destination but it existed in all destinations. In addition, power was not repressive but productive in a sense that tourists became self-regulatory actors. This kind of power is so called 'disciplinary power.'

This research intends to suggest the ways to improve protected area management in Korea. To this end, the current protected areas appointed in the nation and their management has been examined, and the problems of management have been identified by means of a field research of protected areas and a survey. In addition, a scheme for an integrated management system has been suggested for management improvement, and a management plan guide, as well as after-evaluation guide, has been suggested. The outcome of the research is as follows. First, the protected area management plan is needed since the protected area in our nation is not managed in a proper way after being appointed as such. Second, when making a management plan, a management organization should make a management plan that can attract voluntary participation from stake-holders by means of efficient communications with them. Third, to maintain the management plan in a consistent and systematic way, related policy, law, and institutions should be (re)formulated. Fourth, an organization responsible only for management of protected areas should be established in consideration of management inefficiency due to the overlapped appointment of managing the protected area. Fifth, the management plan guide and after-evaluation guide can be used for effective protected area management. The results of this study are expected to be helpful for creating a management improvement scheme to address the problems related to the protected areas in our nation. But, it is required to review the guides for the management plan and after-evaluation, and consistent and systemic support from the government in such areas as legislation and policy are also in great need.

Purpose: To find objective validity of minimal acupuncture using a modified guide tube as a method to verify the effect of acupuncture. Methods: Subjects of this study were participants of a randomized clinical trial which was practiced to verify the effect of acupuncture on postmenopausal hot flash. There were 2 arms of treatment, one's for active acupuncture group(AG) with manipulation and De qi, the other's for minimal acupuncture group(MG) using a modified guide tube which was designed to give minimal stimulation to the patient. After 8 weeks' treatment followed by 4 weeks' observation, participants were asked to fill in self-report forms on their education, previous experiences of acupuncture, original idea on the efficacy of acupuncture and recognition of blinding. Results: 19 participants of 26 in AG and 19 of 26 in MG completed the self-report form. There was no difference between AG and MG in their education(p=0.5976, Fisher exact test) and previous experiences of acupuncture(p=0.9999, Fisher exact test). In their original ideas on the efficacy of acupuncture, most of AG and MG respondents have been thought that acupuncture is very effective or quite effective, and there was no difference between 2 groups(p=0.5065). 16 of 19 in AG and 14 of 19 in MG believed that they underwent more effective way, there was no statistical difference between 2 groups(p=0.6928, Fisher exact test). Participants believed in undergoing more effective way not because they recognized treatment method, but they were satisfied with the effectiveness of treatment retrospectively. Conclusion: As the result of this study, these authors suggest that minimal acupuncture using a modified guide tube is acceptable as a method to verify the effect of acupuncture in acupuncture-familiar Korean culture. Also further studies on the stimulation-specific effect of minimal acupuncture are demanded.

Colin Rowe was an important historian, theorist and critic in Modern architecture. His significance in Modern architectural history lies in not only historiography which has changed our view of Modernism but deep theoretical involvement in practice. This study is a critical review and analysis on his formalist approach in Architecture. With a view that his position of formalist has indispensible relationship with liberalism from K. Popper's critical rationalism, this study try to show how his philosophical background has an influence upon his way of seeing architecture, history, form, urbanism, and meaning, etc. And this study also try to explain why the principle of architecture as an autonomous discipline which is the main point of view in Rowe's criticism has been so successful and influential. This study also explain what is the possibility and limitation of Rowe's formalist approach and way of reading buildings. His intelligent way of formal analysis can give us new understandings of how the form generates and the process of design goes on. Furthermore it guide us a new horizon of architecture as a language game. Since his early writings showed both side of formalist approach in architecture and it didn't changed a lot. We can understand his 'Collage City' was a his final answer to his formalist way of making architecture and urbanism. we can estemate it as a utopia without utopianism and an ideology without ideological color.

We propose an algorithm which processes the floating-point $n_{addition}$traction and rounding in parallel. It also processes multiplication and rounding in the same way. The hardware model is presented that minimizes the delay time to get results for all the rounding modes defined in the IEEE Standards. An unified method to get the three bits(L, G, S)for the rounding is described. We also propose an unified guide line to determine the 1-bit shift for the post-normalization in the Floating-point $n_{addition}$traction and multiplication.
