A Study on Segmenting of Cruiser Customers (관광유람선 고객의 시장세분화에 관한 연구)

  • This study was conducted for market segmentation of cruise tourist according to launching the "T" in Busan. Benefit segmentation was used to identify attributes of cruise services; importance of ship's physical appearance and importance of service and activities. 24 attributes were distilled to 5 factors: 'Facility & Service', 'Atmospherics of cruise ship', 'Escape', 'Choice', 'Safety'. A K-means cluster analysis identified three clustered segments for five importance factors in which high loyalty customers were found to be the most important segment. Based on the findings, three distinct groups were formed: 'Moderators', 'High Loyalty', 'Spurious'. The most important factors by high loyalty groups were identified 'Safety', 'Facility & Service', 'Atmospherics of cruise ship', 'Choice', 'Escape' in order. The results of the study showed statistically significant differences among the three groups in terms of demographic and behavioral variables. Especially, the target market should be considered by 'High Loyalty' group and 'Moderators' group in order. Positioning strategies and marketing mix strategies for effectively targeting the segments were discussed.

Development of Control Algorithm for Ship Berthing and Unberthing Systems Using a Joystick (조이스틱을 이용한 선박의 입출항 및 접이안 시스템의 제어 알고리즘 개발)

  • This study develops a control algorithm on berthing/unberthing system using a joystick for ships with thrusters and a rudder. A nonlinear mathematical model for low speed maneuvering of typical container ships is used to develop a MIMO(multi-input multi-output) nonlinear control algorithm for velocity feedback joystick control. Also a virtual HILS(hardware in the loop simulation) software program for berthing/unberthing is developed to test the performance of the nonlinear and a PID control algorithm. The program is developed using LabWindow/CVI, and a user can see current position and desired trajectory of ship in a monitor, then he can control forward and yaw velocities of a ship using a joystick. The simulation results show that the nonlinear mfd the PID controller have superior performance over a simple open loop joystick control algorithm.

A Study on Antenatal Education about the Normal Course of Labor in Last Trimester of Gestation Influencing the State - Anxiety of Primigravida (분만의 정상경과에 관한 산전교육이 초임부의 상태-불안에 미치는 영향에 관한 연구)

  • The purpose of study carried out to determine the effects of antenatal education about the normal course of la-bor in last trimester (pregnancy 36 wks longer ) influencing the State- Anxiety of primigravida. And the relation-ship between primigravia’s general characteristics and State-Anxiety. This study was carried out between May 1. to October 20. 1979. The study sample consisted of 150 primigravidas who visited the out- patient of Department of obstetrics of Ewha Womans University Hospital. The method used for the collection of data were Antenatal Education Curriculum made by researcher and State-Anxiety Inventory. The questionnaire of State Anxiety Inventory is made up 20 items. The data was analysed by computer program. The followings are results. 1. There was shown State-Anxiety to to be alleviated by experimental group than control group. There was significant relation between experimental group and control group. (p< 0.01) 2. Within the experimental group, there was no significant relation to State-Anxiety by age and education level. (p > 0.05) 3. In the investigation sample, according to the primigravida's gestation, there was shown State-Anxiety to be increased by closing to the delivery ( p <0.01). There was no relation of State-Anxiety response by age, education level, religion and acceptance of pregnancy. (p >0.05).

  • Effects of wave grouping on the harbor oscillation are studied in order to clarify the energy source of harbor resonance. The resonant periods of Donghae harbor and Imwon harbor are calculated using the boundary integral equation method. Also, the periods of the group-bounded long waves due to the irregular wave group are calculated using the theory developed in this study. Analyzing from the view point of period, it is concluded that the group-bounded long waves due to the irregular wave group can cause resonance in small harbors such as fishery harbors, and heavy ship motion in large harbors such as industrial ones.

  • There was an outbreak of COVID-19 on the Diamond Princess cruise ship. Distinguishing close contacts is the important problem to be addressed. Close contacts mean people who stays with the patients of disease like COVID-19 over a period of time. The passenger position on board can be obtained by indoor positioning technology. The feature of close contacts is similar location with COVID-19 patients. Therefore, this paper proposed the idea of distinguishing close contacts on board based on DBSCAN algorithm.

  • The roles and importance of the application of simulator in harbor and waterway design are emphasized. Different methods of simulation and their application are described. A large-scale simulation concept, group simulation, is proposed. Requirements of the simulator for accomplishing the tasks properly and effectively are suggested. Some points on modeling of ship hydrodynamics and environmental factors, welch are critical especially in waterway design simulation are discussed and algorisms presented.

  • The purpose of this study was to analyze the physiology changes by circuit weight training(CWT). The subject of this study consists of 16 student on ship(experimental groups(SE) N=8, control group(SCa) N=8) and 16 students on land (experimental groups(LE) n=8, control groups(LCb) N=8). The items of measurement were the changes of CWT time and heart rate per week, musclear functino and cardiopulmonary function. The conclusions are as follows : 1. Muscular fuction 1) Back strength in SE and LE group was increased significantly (p<.01, p<.05, 8.86% and 7.08%).Grip strength was increased slightly in 4 groups but there was no significance. 2) In push-ups, all 4 groups were increased significantly (p<.05, p<.01), sit-ups also were increased significantly in SE and LE group (p<.05, 6.71% and 9.62%). 3) In SE and LE group , standing long jump was in significantly (p<.01, p<.05, 4.49% and 6.09%), but only in LE group , side step was increased significantly (p<0.1, 5.84%). 2. Cardiopulmonary function 1) HRrest was decreased slightly in all 4 groups but was not significant changes. HRmax was increased only in LE group significantly (p<.05, 2.81%), treadmill running time was increased significantly in SE and LE group respectively (p<.01, p<.05, 10.78% and 11.07%). 2) VEmax was increased significantly in SE and LE group(p<.05, p<.01, 10.59% and 13.68%), but only in LE group Rfmax was increased significantly (p<.01, 4.83%). 3) In VO2max, LCb group was increased significantly (p<.05, 6.835), but SCa group was decreased significantly (p<.05, 4.32). VO2max/kg$.$min was increased significantly in LE and LCb group respectively (p<.01 p<.05. 4.75% and 3.98%).

Aesthetic Perception and Preference on the Characteristics of Traditional Korean Document Chest (한국 문갑 유형에 대한 소비자의 미의식과 선호)

  • The purpose of this study is to classify the type of the Korean document chest, mungab through the literature and market survey and to investigate the preference on characteristics of the mungab. It also attempts to find out the aesthetic perception of the type of mungab by using semantic differential scales. A pilot study was conducted to select the types and pictures of the mungab. Three types and six pictures of mungab were selected. Six hundred homemakers of middle and upper class residing in seoul area were selected for the survey and 449 among them were used for data analysis. Data were analyzed using the SPSS program. The major findings are as follows: 1) The esult of pilot test, the presentative characteristics of mungab were classified into naive type, unique type, and elaborate type. 2) it was found that the modernized style of traditional mungab was wood grain and the next one was Najonchiligi. In the characteristics of decoration which was symbolic pattern, Shi-Jang-Saeng was predominant. In wanting style when they buy, the modernized style of traditional Korean chest was predominant, too. 3) Young and low income group preferred modern style using transparent paint and Sa-Goon-Ja, letters in the symbolic patterns of decoration. Old and high income group preferred traditional style using splendid and expensive materials and Ship Jang Saeng in the symbolic decoration. 4) compared with types of mungab in aesthetic perception, modern style of the traditional mungab was evaluated more positively than traditional style. The young and low income group perceived the naive type and unique type positively, but the old and high income group perceived the elaborate type the most positively.

A Study of the Preference of Mini-Style according to Body Cathexis and the Stress Recognition level for a Group of Adult Women (성인 여성의 신체만족도 및 스트레스에 따른 미니스타일 선호에 관한 연구)

  • As a society is becoming more and more complicated people living in modern times are experiencing more stresses for various reasons. Some past research results proved the role of clothing in reducing the stresses. The purpose of this study is to investigate how the preference of the mini-style which is recently most fashionable styles is related to the psychological factors such as stress and body satisfaction. Measure Instrument were Nolmes and Masuda(1973)'s SRRS(Social Readjustment Rating Scal) Secord and Jourard(1953)' Body Cathexis Scale and mini-style preference scale by author Survey questionnaires were distributed to two hundred seventy adult women living in Seoul area during may 25 1992. through June 8. 1992. The age range of the subjects was from 30 to 49 The final number of subjects in-cluded in the statistical analysis was 244. The result and conclusions are as follows: 1. Significant difference was existed in mini-style preference between high and low body satisfaction groups. Mini-style was pre-ferred by high body satisfaction group than low body satisfaction group. 2, Significant difference was existed in mini-style preference between high and low stress groups. Mini-style was preferred by low stress group than high stress group. 3. Regarding demographic characteristics unmarried 2 year college graduates with low family income in their early 30's pref. mini-style. 4. There was a marginal interaction effect of demographic characteristics on the relation-ship between mini-style preference and body satisfaction. The higher preference and body satisfaction. The higher preference for mini-style was found for the higher body satis-faction group mostly with the age range of 35 to 39 married 4 year college graduates as drop-puts and mid less income group. 5. There was a marginal interaction effect of demographic variables on the relatonship be-tween mini style preference and stress level The higher preference for mini-style was re-lated to the low stress level group mostly with age group of 35 to 44 high school graduates or lower and highest income group regardless of their marital status. In sum mini-style seems to be preferred by women who feel relatively less stress and are more satisfied with their bodies thus psycho-logically stable.
