  • The purpose of this study was to analyze the facial asymmetry of the patients with the craniomandibular disorder. In this study, 50 patients, who have joint clicking and pain, mouth opening limitation, and 40 dental students, Chosun University, who did not posses any restoration and orthodontic treatment, joint clicking and pain, mouth opening limitation, were selected as the control group. Both the control group and the patient group were takened skull P-A, submento-vertex radiogram by standized methods. After that, the deviation and facial asymmetry were measured and analyzed. • The mandibular canal must be considered carefully during surgical treatment, especially surgical extraction of the impacted tooth and intraosseous implant because it contains the important inferior alveolar nerve and vessels. The author investigated the curvatUre of the mandibular canal, the positional frequency of mandibular foramen to the occlusal plane and gonial angle and the positional frequency of the mental foramen to the tooth site using orthopantomograms. The materials consisted of 295 orthopantomograms divided into seven groups ranging from the first decade to 6th. decade. The results were as follows: 1. The position of mandibular foramen was most frequently below occlusal plane in Group Ⅰ (78.6%) and Group Ⅱ (71.2%), above occlusal plane in Group Ⅲ (63.0%), Group IV (71.1%), Group V (57.6%), Group (76.7%) and Group VII (70.0%). 2. The curvature of mandibular canal was 142.8° in Group Ⅰ, 142.09° in Group Ⅱ, 139.34° in Group Ⅲ, 141.48° in Group Ⅳ, 138.45° in Group Ⅴ, 140.77° in Group Ⅵ and 143.89° in Group Ⅶ. 3. The gonial angie was 125.82° in Group Ⅰ, 123.18° in Group Ⅱ, 124.06° in Group Ⅲ, 120.45° in Group Ⅳ, 121.12° in Group Ⅴ, 121.63° in Group Ⅵ and 121.24° in Group Ⅶ. 4. The position of the menta] foramen was most frequently below the apex of mandibular first premolar in Group Ⅰ (57.2%), between the apex of mandibular first and second premolar in Group Ⅱ (59.6%) and Group Ⅲ (48.9%), and below the apex of mandibular second premolar in Group Ⅳ (39.2%), Group Ⅴ (48.5%) Group Ⅵ(46.6%) and Group Ⅶ(56.4%)

  • Purpose: Current research aimed at exploring whether group entitativity and satisfaction to becoming the member of group have positive effects on group identification, and whether group identification has positive effects on within-in-group domain consumption. This research focused on the mediation role of group identification in the effects of the group entitativity and the satisfaction to becoming the member of group on the within-in-group domain consumption. Research design, data, and methodology: We selected Shandong Province as our experimental target group and people living in Shandong province as our respondents. 316 questionnaire data were collected. The structural equation model in AMOS 26 were used to verify hypotheses. Results: First, group entitativity affected group identification positively. Second, satisfaction to becoming the member of group affected group identification positively. Third, group identification positively influenced on the within-in-group domain consumption. Fourth, the group identification played the full mediation roles in the effects of both the group entitativity and the satisfaction on the within-in-group domain consumption. Conclusions: marketers should highlight the group identification with their target group by stimulating the perception of the consumer's group entitativity and satisfied feelings about the group to induce the intent to purchase their brand as within-in-group domain consumption object.

  • This study investigates the effect of group size on group performance, here the quality of group decision, Four effects are proposed and tested in a field experimental setting : (1) the relationship between the group size and the distribution of individual's problem-solving ability ; (2) the change of the group decision quality as group size increases ; (3) the relationship between the group decision quality and the quality of the best/worst member as group size increases ; (4) the relationship between the group decision quality and the average quality of individuals in the group as group size increases. Data showed that contrary to the exiting results, group decision quality was not improved with the group size. Rather, it showed a little tendency that group decision quality was worsened with the group size. Data also showed that consensus-oriented group decision making process produced the compromised output. Thus, group decision quality was not better than the average group members'. The opinion of the best member was not accepted. The implications of the findings are discussed for the development of a Korean GSS.

  • This study was performed to investigate the surface roughness of the Cerec Vita Mark II polished by various polishing techniques, compare with that of the Vintage enamel porcelain glazed by high temperature glazing technique. All of the Cerec specimen were finished with sequential use of high speed diamond burs(grit 45, 30 and $15{\mu}m$). The groups were divided into 5 groups : Group I : Cerec Vita Mark II block specimens polished with Sof-lex discs. Group II : Cerce Vita Mark II block specimens polished with Two Striper MPS. Group III : Cerce Vita Mark II block specimens polished with Enhance. Group IV : Cerce Vita Mark II block specimens polished with Porcelain laminate polishing FG kit. Group V : Vintage enamel porcelain glazed by high temperature glazing Technique. Each group was consisted of 10 specimens. The surfaces produced were examined quantitatively using a laser specular reflectance machine(Perthen RM600-s, Feinpruf Perthen GmbH., Germany) and qualitatively under SEM(JSM-5400, JEOL, Japan). The Results were as follows : 1. The arithmetic mean roughness value(Ra) in groups 1, 2, 3 and 4 was higher than that of group5. There was statistically significant difference(P<0.05). 2. The arithmetic mean roughness value(Ra) decreased in the following orders : group 1, group 2, group 4, group 3 and there was no statistically significant difference between group 1 and group 2, group 3, and group 4. There was statistically significant difference among group 1, 2, and group 3, 4 and group 5(P<0.05). 3. The maximum individual peak-to-valley-height(Rmax) decreased in the following orders : group 2, group 1, group 4, group 3, group 5 and there was no statistically significant difference between group 1 and 2, group 1 and group 4, group 3 and group 5. There was statistically significant difference among group 1, 2, and group 1, 4 and group 3, 5(P<0.05). 4. The treated surfaces of group 5 had smoother surface than that of groups 1, 2, 3, 4 with SEM.

  • In order to observe the bioactivity of ovariectomized rats, ovariectomized group (Ovx), nonovariectomized group(Sham) and ovariectomized aloe-treat group(Ovx+Aloe) were made. Lipidperoxides of liver and kidney, serum AST.ALT, BUN, total cholesterol and HDL-cholesterol were investigated as follows. Lipidoxides of the liver and the kidney in Ovx group were 1.74 times and 1.38 times increased compared to Sham group respectively. But they were significantly decreased in Ovx+Aloe group compared to Ovx group. Serum AST and ALT in Ovx group were increased 1.49 times and 1.65 times respectively compared to Sham group respectively. But they were decreased compared to Ovx group. Serum total cholesterol in Ovx group was increased 1.48 times compared to Sham group. While it was increased 50% in Ovx+Aloe group. Serum HDL-cholesterol in Ovx group was decreasd 23$\%$ compared to Sham group. While it was increasd 58% in Ovx+Aloe group compared to Ovx group. Serum BUN in Ovx group was increased slightly compared to Sham group. In Ovx+Aloe serum BUN had no change compared to Ovx group.
