Smart Phone Display 낙하 Simulation과 설계 (Smart Phone Display Drop Simulation and Design)

  • In this Study, as the structure of smart phone display becomes thin to catch up with slim product trend, the reliability of display module is on the rise as a issue for product design. Especially, almost part of cellular phone should undergo drop test when they fall 1.5m above ground. Thus many manufacturers have considered design guide line using CAE and simulation for more efficive usage of limited resources om the martket. This test simulates the case when cellular phone slips through user's flingers while he is talking on the phone. This paper studies a drop simulation of glass for display in smart phone. This design for reliability improvements are suggested on the basis of the results of FE Analysis and display of smart phone design.

유/무인 항공기 복합운용체계 검증을 위한 시뮬레이션 환경 구축 (The Development of The Simulation Environment for Operating a Simultaneous Man/Unmanned Aerial Vehicle Teaming)

  • 본 논문은 유/무인 항공기 복합운용체계 검증을 위한 시뮬레이션 환경 구축 및 통합 시험에 대하여 다룬다. 유/무인 항공기 지상 시뮬레이션 환경 구축을 위해서 유인기용 시뮬레이터인 X-Plane과 무인기용 시뮬레이터 HILS를 연동하여 상호 복합운영이 가능한지 시뮬레이션으로 검증하였다. 실제 비행시험 전 유/무인 항공기 및 지상통제실 간 C Band 및 UHF 채널을 이용한 통신 가능성을 확인하기 위하여 통신장비를 제작하고 유인 항공기를 이용한 검증을 수행하였다.

시멘트 혼합토 및 복합지반의 강도, 변형 특성 및 수치해석 (Strength and Deformation Characteristics, and Numerial Analysis for Cement Admixed Clay and Composite Ground)

  • 본 연구에서는 원지반 점토와 시멘트 혼합토를 포함하는 복합지반을 조성하고 이에 대한 실내 일축압축강도 시험을 통해 원지반 점토 함수비 및 치환율, 시멘트 함유율 등에 따른 강도 및 변경 특성치를 분석하였으며, 혼합토에 대한 개별요소 수치모델링을 수행하였다. 시멘트 함유율 15 % 이상에서는 최종적인 복합지반의 강도에 있어 치환율을 증가시키는 것보다 시멘트 함유량 증가 등을 통한 혼합토의 강도를 증가시키는 것이 더욱 유리함을 알 수 있었으며, 회귀분석을 통해 원지반 점성토의 일축압축강도와 시멘트 혼합토의 시멘트 함유율, 복합지반 치환율을 이용하여 최종적인 복합지반의 일축압축강도 및 탄성계수 예측이 가능하였다. 치환율과 함께 최종적인 복합지반의 강도 및 변형 특성치 예측에 가장 중요한 요소인 시멘트 혼합토의 일축압축강도는 실내시험 및 본딩모델이 적용된 3차원 개별요소 수치모델링을 통해 그 검증과 예측이 가능하였다.

토목섬유로 보강된 반원형상의 확대기초의 설계법 (Design Method of Spread Footing of Semicircular Shape Reinforced by Geosynthetics)

  • 최근 들어 기초지반 하부를 보강하는 방법으로 4층 또는 5층으로 보강재를 수평으로 배치하여 지지력을 증가시키는 공법이 연구되고 있다. 본 연구에서는 기초하부 지반을 보강함으로서 지반이 갖는 전단강도 정수를 증가시키는 방법을 검토한 것이다. 그래서 지반을 구형 또는 반원형으로 토목섬유를 사용하여 감싸는 공법을 개발하게 되었는데 이는 흡사 확대기초 밑에 또 하나의 확대기초가 존재하는 양상이 된다. 이러한 토목섬유보강 확대기초의 지지력에 대한 메카니즘을 검토하기 위해서 알루미늄봉을 이용한 모형재하시험을 실시하였다. 모형재하시험에서 제안된 토목섬유보강 확대기초를 만들어서 하중을 직접 재하함으로서 극한지지력의 증가정도를 확인하였으며, 또한 격자표시법에 의해 지반의 점들이 이동하는 방향 등을 점검하였고, B-Shutter 촬영법을 이용하여 소성파괴가 일어나는 영역을 확인하였다.

수치해석에 의한 쇄석말뚝의 지지력 특성 고찰 (A Study on the Bearing Capacity characteristics of Stone column by Numerical Analysis)

  • Stone column is one of the soft ground improvement method, which enhances ground conditions through ground water draining, settlement reducing and bearing capacity increasing complexly by using crushed stone instead of sand in general vertical drain methods. In recent, general construction material, sand is in short of supply, because of the unbalance of demand and supply. Also, the bearing capacity improving effect of stone column method is needed in many cases so the bearing capacity estimation is considered as important point. Nevertheless, adequate estimation methods to predict bearing capacity of stone column considering stone column and improving ground behavior reciprocally is not yet prepared. To contribute this situation, bearing capacity behavior of stone column were simulated as numerically on various property cases of crushed stone and surrounded ground. Through the numerical analysis of simulation results, bearing capacity behavior prediction formula was suggested. This formula was verified by comparing the prediction result with in situ test.

HLA 페더레이트 연동화 인증철차 및 적용사례 (A Study on HLA Federate Compliance Testing Process and its Applications)

  • Since HLA (High Level Architecture) was selected as a standardized distributed simulation architecture by US DoD in order to guarantee interoperability among all types of simulations, weapons system and C4I systems, to improve reusability of developed models in mid 1990s, a large number of federates have been developed and certified in accordance with HLA specifications. This paper illustrates case studies on HLA compliance test which are helpful for developers and managers. Based on experiences obtained from international HLA compliance test of CJ21_NG being developed for ground warfare simulation during ROKA's BCTP and UFL exercises, compliance procedures of US Defense and Modelling Simulation Office (DMSO) are introduced, and detail information at each phase of compliance test is provided.

KSLV-I 페어링 공력 가열 시험 (Aerodynamic Heating Test of Payload Fairing of KSLV-I)

  • KARI is developing a satellite launch vehicle that is called KSLV(Korea Space Launch Vehicle)-I. During the flight, launch vehicles are exposed to aerodynamic heating conditions while flying at high Mach numbers in the atmosphere. KARI constructed Aerodynamic Thermal Simulation Facility to simulate aerodynamic heating on the ground. ATSF is a facility that can simulate given temperature profile using about 4,000 halogen heaters on fairing model. Aerodynamic heating profile is got from result of thermal analysis using MINIVER, Thermal Desktop, and SINDA/FLUINT. Aerodynamic heating test of fairing of KSLV-I was done using engineering model of payload fairing and Aerodynamic Thermal Simulation Facility. It was found that thermal analytic results show good agreement with aerodynamic heating test results within 6$^{\circ}$C at fairing inner surface. Also it was confirmed that maximum temperature of fairing nose-cone inner surface during flight is lower than allowable temperature limit.

  • In this study, a composite behavior of stone columns reinforced in soft ground, Sabkha, have been evaluated by a series of field measurements and numerical analysis. Field loading tests were performed to verify the effect of the composite ground reinforced by stone columns in Kayan, Saudi. The settlement measured in the field test was compared with the settlement calculated by the Priebe method and the numerical analysis using ABAQUS. It is found that the settlement estimated using the Priebe method significantly overestimated the settlement measured in the field test. In addition, it is confirmed that consideration of confinement effect exerted by surrounding stone columns in a numerical simulation is indispensable to estimate the settlement of composite ground.

주행 시험 데이터를 이용한 저가형 차량시물레이터의 조향감 재현 장치 구현 (Development of A Haptic Steering System for a Low Cost Vehicle Simulator using Proving Ground Test Data)

  • A haptic steering system which reflects steering reaction torque has been developed for a fixed base vehicle simulator. The haptic steering system consists of a steering effort sensor, MR-clutch, AC servo motor and controller. In order to generate realistic steering torque feel to driver and at the same time to meet real-time simulation requirement, 3D torque map is constructed by experimental data and torque generation algorithm using the torque map has been also developed. 3D torque map is constructed using curve fitting and interpolation of the measured values of the steering angle, velocity and steering torque from actual slalom test on the proving ground. In order to carry out performance test of the developed haptic steering system, a fixed based vehicle simulator is constructed by integrating real time vehicle dynamics module, VR-video/audio module, and the haptic steering system. Steering torque and steering angle curves have been obtained from virtual testing in the vehicle simulator and performance of the haptic steering system has been evaluated.

Shake table test of Y-shaped eccentrically braced frames fabricated with high-strength steel

  • To investigate the seismic performance of Y-shaped eccentrically braced frames fabricated with high-strength steel (Y-HSS-EBFs), a shake table test of a 1:2 scaled three-story Y-HSS-EBF specimen was performed. The input wave for the shake table test was generated by the ground motions of El Centro, Taft, and Lanzhou waves. The dynamic properties, acceleration, displacement, and strain responses were obtained from the test specimen and compared with previous test results. In addition, a finite element model of the test specimen was established using the SAP2000 software. Results from the numerical analysis were compared with the test specimen results. During the shake table test, the specimen exhibited sufficient overall structural stiffness and safety but suffered some localized damage. The lateral stiffness of the structure degenerated during the high seismic intensity earthquake. The maximum elastic and elastoplastic interstory drift of the test specimen for different peak ground accelerations were 1/872 and 1/71, respectively. During the high seismic intensity earthquake, the links of the test specimen entered the plastic stage to dissipate the earthquake energy, while other structural members remained in the elastic stage. The Y-HSS-EBF is a safe, dual system with reliable seismic performance. The numerical analysis results were in useful agreement with the test results. This finding indicated that the finite element model in SAP2000 provided a very accurate prediction of the Y-HSS-EBF structure's behavior during the seismic loadings.
