고정밀 연삭기용 주축시스템 설계 (Design of High Precision Spindle System for Grinding Machine)

  • Any one of the high precision spindle systems and guide way systems, the high stiffness of structure, the error compensation during assembly, high accuracy control system is inevitable technology for development of high precision machine tools. Especially, among these, design of spindle system is one of the most important technologies leading high precision of machine tool and high quality of manufactured products. A high speed and high precision spindle system, which will be used for final machining of ferrule, is designed considering the effect of heat cutting torque, cutting fore, and work-piece materials. The detailed design and analysis process are presented.

  • With the rapid development of industrial technologies, the demand for high precision products has been increasing drastically. For this reason, the need for developing of high performance machine tool, which can ensure high precision, is desired in the industrial fields. Technologies on the spindle system manufacture, guideway manufacture, error compensation, design of bed structure, protection against vibrations, and system integration are core technology for developing of high precision machine tools. Especially, among these, design of spindle system, which is leading precision and manufacturing technique. is one of the most important technologies. A high speed and high precision spindle system, which will be used for final machining of ferrule, is designed considering the effect caused by thermal, cutting torque, cutting farce, and work-piece materials. The detail process of analysis is presented.

  • Today the demand of the optical communication components has been increased. Zirconia Ferrule has become the one of the most important elements because it determines transmission efficiency and quality of information in the optical communication system. Grinding is the major process in the ferrule manufacturing process which require high processing precision. In this reseach, specially designed spindle, chucking system, loading & unloading system and cooling system, as a supporting experimental equipment for development of an Intelligent Coaxial Grinding System (ICGS) for Zirconia Ferrule processing, is developed. We are also analized the adaptability of ICGS in practical use, through the way of evaluation for the performance of the each systems above.

  • 21세기 초고속 통신시스템 구축의 핵심 부품인 고정밀도의 광페룰(Fig. 1)의 수요는 획기적으로 증가할 것으로 전망된다. 전 세계 광페룰 생산량의 90% 정도를 일본에서 생산하고 있으며, 현재 국내 업체들도 일본산 가공설비를 대부분 도입하여 광페룰을 생산하고 있으나 품질 수준이나 생산량에서 아직 미미한 형편이다. 광페룰의 품질수준은 통신 품질의 향상 욕구에 따라 점점 높은 정밀도와 동심도가 요구되고 있으며 정밀도에 따른 가격의 차는 수배에 달하고 있다.(중략)

  • In this paper, the case study of reducing rotational errors is done for a grinding spindle with an active magnetic bearing system. The rotational errors acting on the magnetic bearing spindle are due to mass unbalance of rotor, runout, grinding excitation and unmodeled nonlinear dynamics of electromagnets. For the most case, the electrical runout of sensor target is big even in well-finished surface; this runout can cause a rotation error amplified by feedback control system. The adaptive feedforward method based on LMS algorithm is discussed to compensate this kind of runout effects, and investigated its effectiveness by numerical simulation and experimental analysis. The rotor orbit size in both bearings is reduced about to 5 pin due to lX rejection by feedforward control up to 50,000 rpm.

  • In recent years, the demands of the aspherical glass lenses increase since it is difficult to obtain the desirable performance in the plastic lens. Glass lens is manufactured by the forming with high precision mold core. This paper presents the analysis of optimal grinding condition of tungsten carbide(WC, Co0.5%) using design of experiments(DOE). The process parameters are turbin spindle, work spindle, feedrate and depth of cut. The experiments results are evaluated by MINITAB software.

반응표면분석을 이용한 연삭가공용 스핀들 형상 최적화 (Shape Optimization of Grinding Spindle using Response Surface Analysis)

  • To improve the accuracy of a machine, research needs to be conducted on the relationship between the output variables and design variables of a spindle-shaped part from the thermal and static viewpoints. Therefore, research was carried out by examining the correlation of each variable to find the optimum conditions. Moreover, DOE (design of experiments) was extensively used. The model used in this study was a grinding spindle to which a hydrostatic bearing was applied. This model was used in a preliminary analysis based on the experimental results of the previous studies. The influences of the output variables and design variables were compared through a main effect analysis. Generated response surfaces were applied to the Kriging model. To optimize the model, a screening method was selected. In comparison with the initial model, the deformation of the optimized model designed by DOE decreased by 4.1 μm, while the thermal deformation decreased by 1.2 μm. Therefore, it was efficient to design a spindle-shaped part through DOE to improve the accuracy of the machine.
