  • Grid accounting model is necessary to support the demand and supply of id resource. Most grid accounting systems currently in use intrude upon site autonomy by modifying local accounting systems or calculate the cost of grid service without regard to site price policy. In this paper we propose and design Grid accounting model based on site price policy. This model assures autonomy of sites participating in gird computing and be able to actively cope with diverse billing services. Also this proposed model enables to provide RUS to Grid entities by transforming basic accounting information into GGF-UR format and allows this entities to exchange resource usage information. In this paper, proposed Grid accounting model enables sites to have autonomy of them and is evaluated for business model to enforce elaborate charging policy, compared with other systems.

  • At present various methods relating resource access control in grid environment are being studied. Most of the access authorization to grid resource is designed fit to the attributes and the role of user. But resource access control is to be made in the respect of business model to activate grid. Therefore this study suggests a model that can operate resource access control driven by grid accounting information. On the base of collection of accounting information about grid job, processing cost is yielded. If the user's available fund is less than processing cost, it gets to control grid job by the resource access control policy. Finally when grid job is completed, user is assigned to pay the charges for using resource of supplier. Then resource provider gets to supply stable resource in grid by participating it voluntarily to use idle resource. This study is esteemed to realize utility computing environment correspondent to economic principle by ensuring resource access policy of organizations which participate in grid.

  • Currently, many people have been researching diverse mechansmims related to a resource access control in Grid environment. Mostly Grid user's resource access control was designed to authorize according to their attributes and roles. But, to provide Grid with resources continuously, a resource access based on utility computing must be controlled. So, in this paper we propose and implement mechanism that intergrates Grid accounting concept with resource access control. This mechanism calcuates costs of Grid service on the basis of accounting, and determines based on user's fund availibility whether they continue to make use of site resources or not. Grid jobs will be controlled according to a site resource access control policy only if the amount of available fund is less than its costs. If Grid job completed, resource consumer pays for the costs generated by using provider's idle resources. Therefore, this paper provides mechansim to be able to control user's resource access by Grid accounting, so that it is evaluated as the research to realize utility computing environment corresponding to economic principle.

  • Grid computing enables the fundamental computing shift from a localized resource computing model to a fully-distributed virtual organization with shared resources. In the grid computing environment, grid users usually get access rights by mapping their credential to local account. The mapped total account is temporally belongs to grid user. So, data on the secondary storage, which is produced by grid operation, can increase the load of system administration or can issue grid user's privacy. In this paper, we design a data management system for grid user to cover these problems. This system implements template account mechanism and manages local grid data.

  • Purpose - Going concern is one of fundamental concepts in accounting and auditing and sometimes the assessment of a company's going concern status that is a tough process. Various going concern prediction models' based on statistical and data mining methods help auditors and stakeholders suggested in the previous literature. Research design - This paper employs a data mining approach to prediction of going concern status of Iranian firms listed in Tehran Stock Exchange using Particle Swarm Optimization. To reach this goal, at the first step, we used the stepwise discriminant analysis it is selected the final variables from among of 42 variables and in the second stage; we applied a grid-search technique using 10-fold cross-validation to find out the optimal model. Results - The empirical tests show that the particle swarm optimization (PSO) model reached 99.92% and 99.28% accuracy rates for training and holdout data. Conclusions - The authors conclude that PSO model is applicable for prediction going concern of Iranian listed companies.

  • A compact model approach of a network of spring elements for elastic loading is presented for the thermal deformation analysis of BGA package assembly. High-sensitivity moire interferometry is applied to evaluate and calibrated the model quantitatively. Two ball grid array (BGA) package assemblies are employed for moire experiments. For a package assembly with a small global bending, the spring model can predict the boundary conditions of the critical solder ball excellently well. For a package assembly with a large global bending, however, the relative displacements determined by spring model agree well with that by experiment after accounting for the rigid-body rotation. The shear strain results of the FEM with the input from the calibrated compact spring model agree reasonably well with the experimental data. The results imply that the combined approach of the compact spring model and the local FE analysis is an effective way to predict strains and stresses and to determine solder damage of the critical solder ball.

  • The main reason for its instability is sediment scouring downstream of hydraulic structures. Both physical and numerical models have been used to investigate the influence of soil properties on scour hole geometry. Nevertheless, no research has been conducted on resistance parameters that affect sedimentation and erosion. In addition, auxiliary structures like wing walls, which are prevalent in many real-world applications, have rarely been studied for their impact on morphology. The hydraulic characteristics of steady flow through a boxed culvert are calibrated using a 3D Computational Fluid Dynamics model compared with experimental data in this study, which shows a good agreement between water depth, velocity, and pressure profiles. Test cases showed that 0.015 m grid cells had the lowest NRMSE and MAE values. It is also possible to quantify sediment scour numerically by testing roughness/d50 ratios (cs) and diversion walls at a meander flume outlet. According to the findings, cs = 2.5 indicates a close agreement between numerical and analytical results of maximum scour depth after the culvert; four types of wing walls influence geometrical deformation of the meander flume outlet, resulting in erosion at the concave bank and deposition at the convex bank; two short headwalls are the most appropriate solution for accounting for small changes in morphology. A numerical model can be used to estimate sediment scour at the meander exit channel of hydraulic structures based on the roughness parameter of soil material and headwall type.

  • Accurate estimation of forest carbon stocks is important in establishing greenhouse gas reduction plans. In this study, we estimate the spatial distribution of forest carbon stocks using machine learning techniques based on high-resolution remote sensing data and detailed field survey data. The high-resolution remote sensing data used in this study are Landsat indices (EVI, NDVI, NDII) for monitoring vegetation vitality and Shuttle Radar Topography Mission (SRTM) data for describing topography. We also used the forest growing stock data from the National Forest Inventory (NFI) for estimating forest biomass. Based on these data, we built a model based on machine learning methods and optimized for Korean forest types to calculate the forest carbon stocks per grid unit. With the newly developed estimation model, we created forest carbon stocks maps and estimated the forest carbon stocks in South Korea. As a result, forest carbon stock in South Korea was estimated to be 432,214,520 tC in 2020. Furthermore, we estimated the loss of forest carbon stocks due to the Donghae-Uljin forest fire in 2022 using the forest carbon stock map in this study. The surrounding forest destroyed around the fire area was estimated to be about 24,835 ha and the loss of forest carbon stocks was estimated to be 1,396,457 tC. Our model serves as a tool to estimate spatially distributed local forest carbon stocks and facilitates accounting of real-time changes in the carbon balance as well as managing the LULUCF part of greenhouse gas inventories.
