농촌마을 그린로드 관리실태 및 개선 방안 (Research on the Status of Green-Road Management in Rural Village and Improvement Plan)

  • Since 2010, RDA has discovered 30 Green-Road as the way of developing rural area. However, results from conference with expert and village leaders of Green-Road concluded that there were problems such as little financial benefits due to mismanagement and needs of improving the efficiency of management. In order to respond to these issues, this research has conducted empirical investigation about the status, management of Green-Road and its influences on local area. Main purposes of this investigation was to reveal the various obstacles in road management, and to find better ways of road management. To accomplish the goal of research, this study conducted survey and interviews with leaders in villages. Particularly, the investigation had focused on the specific management issues suggested by village leaders. Based on the results, this research suggested establishing a committee for creating leaders network and developing effective management method in order to improve road management and its consequences.

Who Occupies the Green Building: a Case of Australia

  • For successful outcome of real estate development projects, it is important to understand the potential tenants as they drive the demand for properties. The aim of this study is to investigate tenant characteristics of the Australian green office building sector. The specific objectives are to; (1) compare and contrast the increment trend of green buildings within the green office building sector; (2) identify the tenancy profile of green buildings; (3) ascertain the possible industry concentrations within the current green building sector; and (4) explore the relationship between green building occupants' characteristics and their tenancy. Descriptive statistics shows that Finance, Insurance and Real Estate (FIRE) industries along with government owned companies are the major tenants of green office buildings in the NSW State of Australia. In particular, real estate companies occupy more than half of the NSW based green office buildings whilst one third of them are the tenants of the 6-star rated buildings - the highest rated building in the current form of Australian Green Star accreditation scheme.

기업 간 장기적 관계지향성이 그린공급사슬관리와 성과에 미치는 영향 (The Effects of Long-Term Relationship Orientation on Green Supply Chain Management and Performance)

  • 최근 환경에 대한 인식이 높아지면서 그린공급사슬관리(GSCM)에 관한 관심이 증가되고 있다. GSCM에 관한 실무적 관심이 증가함에 따라 학계에서도 환경경영에 관한 학술적 연구들이 다양한 관점에서 제시되고 있다. 그런데 대부분의 연구는 주로 대기업인 모기업 중심으로 1차 협력기업과의 관계를 연구대상으로 제시하고 있다. 1차 협력사는 공급사슬채널의 중간에 위치하고 있어 환경경영에 결정적인 역할을 담당하고 있다. 본 연구는 1차 협력사를 중심으로 기업의 기업 간 장기적 관계 지향성이 그린공급사슬관리와 성과에 미치는 영향을 분석하였다. 대·중소기업 그린 파트너십과 대·중소기업 탄소파트너십 프로그램에 참여하고 있는 1차 협력기업을 대상으로 수집한 설문 조사결과를 구조방정식을 활용하여 연구모형과 가설을 검증하였다. 분석결과 첫째, 기업 간 장기적 관계지향성이 GSCM 실행 요소인 환경정보협력, 그린구매 그리고 그린제품설계를 촉진하는 요인으로 밝혀졌다. 또한 GSCM의 하위변수 간의 상호 관련성을 추가적으로 분석한 결과 환경정보 협력이 그린구매와 그린제품설계에 영향을 주는 것으로 확인되었다. 둘째, GSCM 실행 요소인 그린구매, 그린제품설계는 환경성과에 긍정적으로 영향을 미치나 환경정보협력은 환경성과에 직접적인 영향을 미치지 못하는 것으로 밝혀졌다.

A Framework of Building Knowledge Representation for Sustainability Rating in BIM

  • Recently, sustainable building design, a growing field within architectural design, has been emerged in the construction industry as the practice of designing, constructing, and operating facilities in such a manner that their environmental impact, which has become a great concern of construction professionals, can be minimized. A number of different green rating systems have been developed to help assess that a building project is designed and built using strategies intended to minimize or eliminate its impact on the environment. In the United States, the widely accepted national standards for sustainable building design are known as the LEED (Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design) Green Building Rating System. The assessment of sustainability using the LEED green rating system is a challenging and time-consuming work due to its complicated process. In effect, the LEED green rating system awards points for satisfying specified green building criteria into five major categories: sustainable sites, water efficiency, energy and atmosphere, materials and resources, and indoor environmental quality; and sustainability of a project is rated by accumulating scores (100 points maximum) from these five major categories. The sustainability rating process could be accelerated and facilitated by using computer technology such as BIM (Building Information Modeling), an innovative new approach to building design, engineering, and construction management that has been widely used in the construction industry. BIM is defined as a model-based technology linked with a database of project information, which can be accessed, manipulated, and retrieved for construction estimating, scheduling, project management, as well as sustainability rating. This paper will present a framework representing the building knowledge contained in the LEED green building criteria. The proposed building knowledge framework will be implemented into a BIM platform (e.g. Autodesk Revit Architecture) in which sustainability rating of a building design can be automatically performed. The development of the automated sustainability rating system and the results of its implementation will be discussed.

  • In Korea, Green building certification system had been operated for more than 10 years and Expired certification buildings are ever-increasing. However, post management of building and qualification standard for re-certification(G-SEED) aren't exist, certificated green building don't have smoothly maintenance and management. Therefore, analysing the status and situation of similar system such as building maintenance and management, to suggest the direction of evaluation for green standard for energy and environmental design.

  • 최근 국가정책 아젠다인 '저탄소 녹색성장'은 국가의 중요한 비젼으로 전정부차원의 노력이 이루어지고 있다. 정부는 2020년까지 세계 7대, 2050년까지 세계 5대 녹색강국으로 진입을 목표로 하고 있다. 이러한 목표를 실현시키기 위해 효율적 온실가스 감축 및 녹색국토, 교통의 조성이 중요한 시책으로 추진되고 있다. 건설산업 부문도 예외가 아니어서 에너지 및 온실가스 배출저감을 위한 정책 및 기술개발이 활발히 이루어지고 있다. 해외 선진국의 경우 가장 광범위한 대상인 도로시설물에 대한 녹색도 측정을 위한 연구가 수행되었으며 그것을 기반으로 녹색도로인증제가 적용되고 있다. 본 논문은 선진국 제도 및 사례를 벤치마킹하고 국내 도로부문에 있어 적용성을 검증하여 녹색도로인증제도의 성공적인 국내 도입에 일조 하고자 한다.

델파이 방법을 이용한 한국의 그린 비즈니스/IT 추진전략 수립 (Development of Korean Green Business/IT Strategies Using Delphi Technique)

  • Recently, the green business/IT-related issues such as $CO_2$ emission and energy consumption have become spread out rapidly through the world. EU, the United States, Japan and other developed countries are using IT-related environmental regulations as trade barriers. Korea which has high rate of IT exports needs to establish systematic strategies to respond to these environmental regulations. However, it is not easy to find the related research about making green business/IT strategies. This research aims to deduce the green business/IT strategy framework and the suitable green business/IT strategies for the Korean situation. The green business/IT strategy framework is constructed from the analysis of preceding researches and those of the green business/IT strategies of Japan, the United States, and EU. The Korean green business/IT strategies are deduced from survey of experts using Delphi method. We expect that the results contribute to establish the systematic policy and action plan to reduce $CO_2$ emission and energy consumption of IT industry.

녹지총량제의 국외사례 및 국내 적용가능성 (Feasibility Study on the Introduction of No Net Loss of Green)

  • Due to the increasing needs of land supply, green space has been continuously encroached and resulted considerable naturality deterioration in Korea. In order to overcome the problem, it is necessary to introduce a integrated system for managing the quantitative and qualitative aspects of green space. With this regard, this study is to derive the feasibility for the adoption of the 'no net loss of green' policy to Korea from German and Japanese experiences. In Germany, natural resources are protected and inevitable damages were compensated through the adoption of 'interference regulation'. In Japanese case, future green space and artificial green foundation should be specified on the green basic plan which pursuit the improvement of naturality. In order to introduce the 'no net loss of green' policy to Korea, not only awareness raising on integrated green management system but also amendment of related regulations are needed. In detail, restoration and recovery on the damaged nature should be clearly elucidated and indicators to evaluate the current naturality and calculation methods for the restoration should be developed. Should this integrated green management system introduced, deterioration of naturality by development activities could be minimized thorough the adoption of land development permission criteria and green space management methodologies.

Profiling Green IT Leaders Quantitatively and Qualitatively

  • In this study, we intend to identify key financial variables that can accurately classify Green IT leaders against Green IT followers. In particular, we build and compare single and meta-classifiers to identify the relationship between environmental performance and financial performance, while focusing on selecting and interpreting a final prediction model with a smaller set of financial performance indicators. Our experimental results demonstrate that several key variables representing the size, financial resources, operational efficiency, and risk-taking tendency of an organization can successfully identify Green IT leaders with approximately 90% of accuracy. In addition, we find that Green IT leaders show a higher utilization rate of Web pages as a green marketing channel than Green IT followers while they share common layouts of Web publication to build green IT brands with some differences.

Determinants of Green Practices in the Petrochemical Sector: An Empirical Study

  • This paper discusses the determinants of green practices and incorporates some empirical findings from a recent study in the petrochemical sector in the Republic of Trinidad and Tobago. The study was comprised of a survey and follow-up interviews with senior executives who participated in the survey. Of fourteen companies involved, the findings affirmed that the investigation of accidents, provision of an emergency response, employee training, decreasing the production of wastes, and pre-treating wastes before disposal should be stressed. Government requirement, the economic reasons and public pressures were the driving forces of green practices. The five most important determinants identified include performance evaluation, financial justification, impacts on company, management leadership and operations integration. Implementing environmental management systems as a feasible approach to green practices in the petrochemical sector was explored. The findings provide guidance that helps organisations to accommodate the determinants of green practices into achieving sustainable environmental goals.
