그린투어리즘 및 공공서비스 기반의 지속가능한 농촌도로노선의 최적계획에 관한 연구 (A Study on Optimal Planning of Sustainable Rural Road Path based on Infrastructure for Green-Tourism and Public Service)

  • The purpose of this study is to develop a simulation model of rural road path for infrastructure of green-tourism and public service in rural areas. This study makes an objective function for moving cost minimization considering car travel time according to road characteristics, which can route the optimal shortest road paths between the center places and all rear villages, based on GIS coverages of road-village network for connecting between center places and rural villages as input data of the model. In order to verify the model algorithm, a homogeneous hexagonal network, assuming distribution of villages with same population density and equal distance between neighborhood villages on a level plane area, was tested to simulate the optimal paths between the selected center nodes and the other rear nodes, so that the test showed reasonable shortest paths and road intensity defined in this study. The model was also applied to the actual rural area, Ucheon-myun, which is located on Hoengsung-gun, Kangwon-do, with 72 rural villages, a center village (Uhang, 1st center place) in the area, a county conte. (Hoengsung-eup, 2nd center place), and a city (Wonju, 3rd center place), as upper settlement system. The three kinds of conte. place, Uhang, Hoengsung-eup, and Wonju, were considered as center places of three scenarios to simulate the optimal shortest paths between the centers and rural villages, respectively. The simulation results on the road-village network with road information about pavement and width of road show that several spans having high intensity of road are more important that the others, while some road spans have low intensity of road.

Microstructure Evolution and Dielectric Characteristics of CaCu3Ti4O12 Ceramics with Sn-Substitution

  • The doping effect of Sn on the microstructure evolution and dielectric properties was studied in $CaCu_3Ti_{4-x}Sn_xO_{12}$ polycrystals. Samples were produced by a conventional solid-state reaction method. Sintering was carried out at $1115^{\circ}C$ for 2-16 h in air. The dielectric constant and loss were examined at room temperature over a frequency range between $10^2$ and $10^6$ Hz. The microstructure was found to evolve into three stages. Addition of $SnO_2$ led to an increase in density and advanced formation of abnormal grains. The formation of coarse grains with a reduced thickness of the boundary brought about an enhanced dielectric constant and a lower dielectric loss below ~1 kHz. EDS data showed the Cu-rich phase along the grain boundary, which should contribute to the improved dielectric constant according to the internal barrier layer capacitor model. After all, $SnO_2$ was an effective dopant to elevate the dielectric characteristics of $CaCu_3Ti_{4-x}Sn_xO_{12}$ polycrystals as a promoter for abnormal grain growth.

크루얼티 프리 패션 브랜드의 커뮤니케이션 성과 분석 - 브랜드 주도적 이미지와 소비자 지각 이미지에 대한 비교 - (Evaluation of communication effectiveness of cruelty-free fashion brands - A comparative study of brand-led and consumer-perceived images -)

  • This study assessed the effectiveness of brand image communication on consumer perceptions of cruelty-free fashion brands. Brand messaging data were gathered from postings on the official Instagram accounts of three cruelty-free fashion brands and consumer perception data were gathered from Tweets containing keywords related to each brand. Web crawling and natural language processing were performed using Python and sentiment analysis was conducted using the BERT model. By analyzing Instagram content from Stella McCartney, Patagonia, and Freitag from their inception until 2021, this study found these brands all emphasize environmental aspects but with differing focuses: Stella McCartney on ecological conservation, Patagonia on an active outdoor image, and Freitag on upcycled products. Keyword analysis further indicated consumers perceive these brands in line with their brand messaging: Stella McCartney as high-end and eco-friendly, Patagonia as active and environmentally conscious, and Freitag as centered on recycling. Results based on the assessment of the alignment between brand-driven images and consumer-perceived images and the sentiment evaluation of the brand confirmed the outcomes of brand communication performance. The study revealed a correlation between brand image and positive consumer evaluations, indicating that higher alignment of ethical values leads to more positive consumer assessments. Given that consumers tend to prioritize search keywords over brand concepts, it's important for brands to focus on using visual imagery and promotions to effectively convey brand communication information. These findings highlight the importance of brand communication by emphasizing the connection between ethical brand images and consumer perceptions.

비건 음식과 비건 패션에서 나타난 비건포비아 현상에 대한 탐구 (Exploring the phenomenon of veganphobia in vegan food and vegan fashion)

  • This study investigates the negative perceptions (veganphobia) held by consumers toward vegan diets and fashion and aims to foster a genuine acceptance of ethical veganism in consumption. The textual data web-crawled Korean online posts, including news articles, blogs, forums, and tweets, containing keywords such as "contradiction," "dilemma," "conflict," "issues," "vegan food" and "vegan fashion" from 2013 to 2021. Data analysis was conducted through text mining, network analysis, and clustering analysis using Python and NodeXL programs. The analysis revealed distinct negative perceptions regarding vegan food. Key issues included the perception of hypocrisy among vegetarians, associations with specific political leanings, conflicts between environmental and animal rights, and contradictions between views on companion animals and livestock. Regarding the vegan fashion industry, the eco-friendliness of material selection and design processes were seen as the pivotal factors shaping negative attitudes. Furthermore, the study identified a shared negative perception regarding vegan food and vegan fashion. This negativity was characterized by confusion and conflicts between animal and environmental rights, biased perceptions linked to specific political affiliations, perceived self-righteousness among vegetarians, and general discomfort toward them. These factors collectively contributed to a broader negative perception of vegan consumption. In conclusion, this study is significant in understanding the complex perceptions and attitudes that con- sumers hold toward vegan food and fashion. The insights gained from this research can aid in the design of more effective campaign strategies aimed at promoting vegan consumerism, ultimately contributing to a more widespread acceptance of ethical veganism in society.

국가 건물에너지통합관리시스템의 데이터 품질 분석 및 개선방안 연구 (A Study on the Analysis and Methods to Improve the Management System for Building Energy Database)

  • 최근 기후변화로 인해 전 세계적인 지구온난화 피해가 심각해지면서 주요원인인 온실가스에 대한 배출 규제가 확대되고 있다. 그 중 온실가스 배출량의 약 25%를 차지하는 건물분야에 대해 정부에서는 2020년까지 BAU 대비 26.9%까지 감축하겠다는 목표를 발표하였다. 이를 달성하기 위해 건물부문의 에너지 수요를 원천적으로 저감하는 녹색건축물 활성화 방안을 추진하고 있다. 하지만 녹색건축물 활성화의 상세 이행계획 수립 및 관리, 그리고 시행에 따른 효과를 분석하기 위해서는 건물 에너지 사용량에 대한 데이터 및 관련 통계 자료가 필수적이다. 이를 위해 정부는 전국 680만동의 건물에서 사용되는 에너지 정보를 통합 관리할 수 있는 국가 건물에너지 통합관리시스템을 구축하였다. 하지만 현재 구축된 국가 건물에너지 통합관리시스템의 Database는 건축물대장 정보와 공급기관의 에너지정보를 매칭해서 사용하기 때문에 수동으로 작업이 이루어지고 있으며, 이로 인해 많은 문제들이 발생한다. 따라서 Database의 신뢰성을 확보하기 위해서는 지속적인 고도화 작업이 이루어져야 한다. 본 과제는 현재 가동 중인 국가 건물에너지 통합관리시스템의 Database를 분석하여, 시스템의 한계 및 개선방안 도출하고, 이를 통해 데이터의 신뢰성 확보 및 활용성을 증대 시키고자 하였다. 구축된 Database 분석 결과 건축물 정보와 에너지정보가 매칭된 유효데이터는 평균 85.6%이고, 미매칭된 데이터는 평균 14.4%로 나타났다. 미매칭된 데이터는 다시 건물 특성에 따른 미매칭 유형을 분석하였으며, 그 결과 건축물 정보가 없는 경우가 전체의 58.2%에 달했다. 따라서 향후 신규 구축 data의 매칭 작업 용이성 및 현재 Database에 대한 정확성 확보하기 위해서는 건축물 정보와 에너지정보 간의 주소 표준화 및 속성정보 체계를 마련할 필요가 있다. 또한 비도시지역 및 영세한 주거지역에서 사용비중이 높은 석유류 에너지원 및 향후 발전 가능성 및 활용 가능성이 높은 신재생 에너지와 같이 다른 에너지원에 대한 정보를 포함시킬 수 있도록 시스템 구축이 필요할 것으로 사료된다.

제주지역 해녀의 녹차분말 섭취가 혈중 지질, 혈소판 응집성 및 항산화 효과에 미치는 영향 (Effect of green tea intake on blood lipids, platelet aggregation, antioxidant and liver parameters in Jeju volunteer diving woman)

  • We investigated dietary effects of green tea powder (GTP) on plasma lipids, platelet aggregation, hemolysis, plasma TBARS, and liver enzymes. Thirty one volunteer diving women living on Jeju island consumed 4 g green tea powder daily for a period of four weeks and data for the study subjects were analyzed on the basis of diagnostic criteria for blood pressure (BP)(${\geq}$ 140/90 mmHg), plasma total cholesterol (TC)(${\geq}$ 200 mg/dL), and triglyceride (TG)(${\geq}$ 150mg/dL). Subjects with high BP had significantly higher TC and TG than those with normal BP. Subjects with higher TC had higher TG, and those with higher TG had lower HDL cholesterol. Platelet aggregation in the initial slope was significantly higher in subjects with normal BP, normal TC, or normal TG than their counterparts in high BP, TC, and TG. HDL cholesterol after GTP intake increased only in subject groups with normal BP, normal TC, or normal TG, and plasma TG after GTP intake decreased only in groups with higher BP, higher TG, or higher TC. Plasma TC and TG in subjects with normal BP increased after GTP intake. GTP intake caused a decrease in the initial slope of platelet aggregation in all subject groups with little effect on maximum aggregation. Total bilirubin showed a significant increase and GOT increased in all subject groups after GTP intake. Beneficial effects of short term intake of green tea powder might differ depending on the subject conditions in terms of blood pressure, plasma lipids, and other cardiovascular conditions. However, with the hypolipidemic, antithrombotic, and antioxidant actions of its bioactive flavonoids, long term usage of GTP or brewed green tea may provide preventive effects against cardiovascular disease.

김해시 물 순환 개선 도시계획에 의한 비점오염물질 저감효과 분석 (Analysis of Non-Point Source Pollution Reduction using Water Sensitive Urban Design in Gimhae, South Korea)

  • This study was performed to analyze the effects of a water circulation green area plan on non-point source pollution in Gimhae South Korea. A quantitative analysis of Arc-GIS data was conducted by applying a watershed model based on Fortran to investigate the changes to direct runoff and pollution load. Results showed that prior to the implementation of the water circulation green area plan in Gimhae, direct runoff was $444.05m^3/year$, total biological oxygen demand (BOD) pollution load was 21,696 kg/year, and total phosphorus (TP) pollution load was 1,743 kg/year. Implementation of the development plan was found to reduce direct runoff by 2.27%, BOD pollution load by 1.16% and TP pollution load by 0.19% annually. The reduction in direct runoff and non-point source pollution were attributed to improvements in the design of impermeable layers within the city.

Metabolic Pathways Associated with Kimchi, a Traditional Korean Food, Based on In Silico Modeling of Published Data

  • Kimchi is a traditional Korean food prepared by fermenting vegetables, such as Chinese cabbage and radishes, which are seasoned with various ingredients, including red pepper powder, garlic, ginger, green onion, fermented seafood (Jeotgal), and salt. The various unique microorganisms and bioactive components in kimchi show antioxidant activity and have been associated with an enhanced immune response, as well as anti-cancer and anti-diabetic effects. Red pepper inhibits decay due to microorganisms and prevents food from spoiling. The vast amount of biological information generated by academic and industrial research groups is reflected in a rapidly growing body of scientific literature and expanding data resources. However, the genome, biological pathway, and related disease data are insufficient to explain the health benefits of kimchi because of the varied and heterogeneous data types. Therefore, we have constructed an appropriate semantic data model based on an integrated food knowledge database and analyzed the functional and biological processes associated with kimchi in silico. This complex semantic network of several entities and connections was generalized to answer complex questions, and we demonstrated how specific disease pathways are related to kimchi consumption.

철송 크레인 일정계획 문제에 대한 메타 휴리스틱 (Metaheuristics of the Rail Crane Scheduling Problem)

  • This paper considers the rail crane scheduling problem which is defined as determining the sequence of loading/unloading container on/from a freight train. The objective is to minimize the weighted sum of the range of order completion time and makespan. The range of order completion time implies the difference between the maximum of completion time and minimum of start time of each customer order consisting of jobs. Makespan refers to the time when all the jobs are completed. In a rail freight terminal, logistics firms as a customer wish to reduce the range of their order completion time. To develop a methodology for the crane scheduling, we formulate the problem as a mixed integer program and develop three metaheuristics, namely, genetic algorithm, simulated annealing, and tabu search. To validate the effectiveness of heuristic algorithms, computational experiments are done based on a set of real life data. Results of the experiments show that heuristic algorithms give good solutions for small-size and large-size problems in terms of solution quality and computation time.

Hotel Reservation Service, Customer Expectations, Brand Attachment, and Brand Loyalty: Effects of Package Product Reservation

  • Purpose - This study examines various reservation service components that would increase customers' brand attachment and loyalty, while discussing how reservation service components would affect the customer behaviors. Research design, data, and methodology - This study theoretically analyzed the hotel package product reservation system, the customer expectations, the brand attachment, and the brand loyalty, while reviewing previous studies. Results - This study analyzed the distribution channels of the hotel package products from various angles and, as for more extensive research, the study explained the different results caused by each different reservation system type that may be preferred by each individual customer. Conclusions - It was confirmed that, of the hotel reservation service components, the convenience factors, the reliability factors, the information factors, and the other factors other than the human factors, have a significant influence on the customer expectations. Further, the study also revealed that the customer expectation has an important effect on the brand attachment. In addition, the study improved the prevailing understanding on the relation between the brand attachment and the brand loyalty.
