챔버를 이용한 농작지로부터의 기체배출량의 측정과 배출특성연구: 일산화질소(NO)와 아질산가스($N_2O$)의 배출량산정 (Measurements of Gases Emissions form Agricultural Soils and Their Characteristics with Chamber Technique: Emissions of NO and $N_2O$)

  • During the growing season from June to August, 2000, the soil NO and $N_2$O fluxes were measured to elucidate characteristics of soil nitrogen emissions from different types of intensively managed agricultural soils at outskirts of Kunsan City, located in the western inland of Korea, Flux measurements were made using a closed chamber technique at two different agricultural fields; one was made from upland field, and the other from rice paddy field. The flux data from upland field were collected for both the green onion and soybean field. Concentrations of NO and $N_2$O inside a flux chamber ar 15 minute sampling interval were measured to determine their soil emissions. Either polyethylene syringes of teflon air bags were used for gas samples of $N_2$O and NO. The analysis of NO and $N_2$O was made using a chemiluminesence NO analyzer and GC-ECD, respectively no later than few hours after sample collection at laboratory. The gas fluxes were varied more than one standard deviation around their means. Relatively high soil gas emissions occurred in the aftermoon for both NO and $N_2$O. A sub-peak for $N_2$O emission was observed in the morning period, but not in the case of NO. NO emissions from rice paddy field were much less than those from upland site. It seems that water layer over the rice paddy field prevents gases from escaping from the soil surface covered with were during the irrigation and acts as a sink of these gases. The NO fluxes resulted from these field experiments were compared to those from grass soil and they were found to be much higher. Diurnal and daily variations of NO and $N_2$O emission were discussed and correlated with the effects of nitrogen fertilizer application on the increase of the level of soil nitrogen availability.

대전광역시 지하수의 수리화학 특성 및 오염에 대한 토지이용 형태 및 도시화의 영향

  • This study has investigated the chemical characteristics and the contamination of groundwater in relation to land use in Daejeon Metropolitan City. An attempt was made to distinguish anthrophogenic inputs from the influence of natural chemical weathering on the chemical composition of groundwater at Taejon. Groundwater samples collected at 170 locations in the Taejon area show very variable chemical composition of groundwater, e.9. electrical conductance ranges from 65 to 1,290 S/cm. Most groundwater is weakly acidic and the groundwater chemistry is more influenced by land use and urbanization than by aquifer rock type. Most of groundwater from green areas and new town residential districts has low electrical conductance, and is of Ca-HC $O_3$ type, whereas the chemical composition of groundwater from the old downtown and industrial district is shifted towards a Ca-Cl (N $O_3$+S $O_4$) type with high electrical conductance. A number of groundwater samples in the urbanized area are contaminated by high nitrate and chlorine, and exhibit high hardness. The Ep$CO_2$, that is the $CO_2$ content of a water sample relative to pure water, was computed to obtain more insight into the origin of $CO_2$ and bicarbonate in the groundwater. Factor analysis of the chemical data shows that the HC $O_3$ and N $O_3$ concentrations have the highest factor loadings on factor 1 and factor 2, respectively. Factors 1 and 2 represent major contributions from natural processes and human activities, respectively. The results of the factor analysis indicate that the levels of $Ca^{2+}$, $Mg^{2+}$, N $a^{+}$, Cl and SO4$^2$ derive from both pollution sources and natural weathering reactions.ons.

교통온실가스 감축정책의 효과분석 방법론 연구 (A Methodology for Evaluating the Effects of Transportation Policies Related to Greenhouse Gas Reduction)

  • 본 연구는 교통온실가스 감축목표 설정 및 효과적 이행계획 수립에 기여하기 위한 교통온실가스 감축정책의 정량적 효과분석 방법론 정립을 목적으로 한다. 본 연구는 실제 교통 배출 자료에 근거한 교통수단별 온실가스 배출 원단위 추정모형을 포함하여, 수단효용함수와 수요추정모형 등을 활용하고 있다. 연구결과, 전기차 등 온실가스 감축정책 효과는 지역과 대상차종 등에 따라 다양하게 도출될 수 있으며, 저예산 정책인 에코드라이브 활성화 정책은 높은 온실가스 감축효과를 기대할 수 있는 것으로 확인되었다. 또한 자동차 배출개선 정책 뿐 아니라 대중교통 이용활성화 정책도 높은 온실가스 감축효과를 기대할 수 있으며, 본 연구는 이러한 사실을 정량적으로 확인하고 있다. 본 연구결과는 신기후체제 대응을 위한 국가 및 지자체의 온실가스 감축정책 평가에 유용하게 활용될 수 있을 것으로 기대된다.

소도시지역 중학생의 식습관 , 식생활 행동 및 영양지식 (The Study on Dietary Habits , Dietary Behaviors and Nutrition Knowledge of Middle School Students in the Small City)

  • This study was to obtain information about the dietary habits, the dietary attitudes, nutrition knowledge, and the food consumption of middle school students and to assess relationships between the dietary habits, the dietary attitudes, and nutrition knowledge of middle school students. Data were collected from 390 middle school students in Kimcheon. In the dietary habits, the regularity of breakfast showed the highest point and the snack consumption showed the lowest point. Female students were lower in the regularity of breakfast, and male students were higher in overeating of dinner and night. In the dietary attitudes and the perceived importance of nutrition, male students showed more favorable attitudes and perceived more importance of nutrition. In the nutrition knowledge, the responses to items 'Cola or cider doesn't have calories' and 'An egg contains lots of cholesterol' were the lowest point. Female students had higher knowledge than male students. In the food intake, grains, milk.yogurt.cheese, and fruits were always eaten or frequently eaten. While fast food, spicy and salty food, seaweeds, carbonated drinks, and yellow or green vegetables were eaten in lower frequency than other foods. Male students consumed more meat.ham.egg.fish, fried.stir-fried food, fast food, carbonated drinks, and spicy and salty food than female students. The correlation between dietary attitudes and dietary habits was statistically significant. The correlation between dietary attitudes and the perceived importance of nutrition was statistically significant. But the correlation between dietary attitudes and nutrition knowledge was statistically significant for female students, not significant for male students. Nutrition knowledge was related to the perceived importance of nutrition. It might be suggested that effective nutrition education program might be developed and implemented to ensure the good eating behaviors of middle school students.

택지개발지구 특성에 따른 거주자의 생활권 내 근린환경만족도 및 개선우선지수 - 청주권 3개 택지개발지구를 중심으로 - (Satisfaction Level & Improvement Priority of Community Environment According to the Development Concepts of Residential Complexes - The Case of The 3 Residential Complexes in Cheongju Area -)

  • This study has the purpose to reveal the differences of residents' satisfaction level & demand of community environment and recognized residents' improvement priority of community environment at 3 complexes at the big city in the provinces. The 3 residential complexes had differentiated developmental concepts; the residence-oriented complex, the residence-government mixed complex with an eco-friendly concept, and the outskirt residence-industry mixed complex. Followings are the results of the study. 1) The satisfaction of residents in the community environment correlates with the increasing convenience facilities after construction. In the new outskirt complexes of smaller cities, dissatisfaction occurs more with public transportation rather than the road system, so that efficient public transportation systems, inner and neighboring areas, is requisite. 2) Even in the residence-oriented complex, the education environment does not entirely account for satisfaction level; the green environment is also second in priority after the education environment. In the residence-government mixed complex with an eco-friendly concept, a good natural environment does not entirely account for satisfaction level; education environment is also second in priority after the natural environment. The supply of sufficient schools may be fulfilled in the ways of reform of the education zone with neighboring existing residential areas. In the outskirt residence-industry mixed complex of smaller cities, priority was placed more on the location and convenience; this explains the complex's poor access to downtown.

포항 법광사지 출토 녹유전의 자연 과학적 조사 (The Scientific Analysis of Floor Tile Excavated from the Beobgwangsa Temple Site in the Pohang)

  • 고대건축에 있어 중요부재로 사용되었던 전돌은 의장이 화려하고 섬세하여 통일신라시대에는 당${\cdot}$일본의 수준을 훨씬 능가하였다. 이 중 녹유전은 그 사용례가 특별한 건축물에 한정하여 사용하였으며 남겨진 자료 또한 소량일 뿐만 아니라, 현재까계 녹유전과 관련된 연구는 거의 이루어지지 않고 있어 분석을 시도하여 보았다. 조사된 녹유전은 통일신라시대의 가장 대표적인 포항 법광사지 출토 녹유전이다. 녹유전의 성분분석은 미소부X선회절분석기, 유도결합플라르마발광분석기, 미소부형광X선분석기, 열중량/시차별분석기/열이온화질량분석기의 방법으로 이루어졌다. 현미경관찰 결과, 단면구조는 대부분이 석영, 장석이며 주변에서 쉽게 관찰할 수 있는 보통의 점토입자로 구성되어 있었다. 태토의 성분 분석예는 거의 없음으로 기존에 조사 발표된 경주 및 장도 출토 토기와 비교하여 시 Al2O3와 Fe2O3가 조금 낮고 SiO2 성분이 더 높게 분석되었다. 또한 녹유의 성분분석 결과, PbO $70.2wt\%$를 함유한 순수한 납 유리질이었다. 전돌의 소성온도는 TG/DTA를 통해 $573^{\circ}C$에서의 흡열피크$(\alpha-quartz\rightarrow\beta-quartz)$$870^{\circ}C$에서 석영의 상전이$(\beta-quartz{\rightarrow}tridymite)$에 따른 발열피크가 관찰되었다. 이는 $900^{\circ}C$ 이전에는 특이한 열적 변화가 없고 이 온도 범위 이상에서 변화가 일어났다는 것을 의미하므로 $900^{\circ}C$ 이하에서 소성된 것이라 사료된다. XRD를 이용한 광물분석에서는 전형적인 점토광물인 quartz와 feldspar, muscovite peak가 동정되고, 고온 소성시 보여지는 tridymite, mullite와 cristobalite peak가 동정되지 않은 것으로 석영의 결정구조 변화에 따른 소성온도 추정으로 보아 $900^{\circ}C$ 이하의 저온소성으로 볼 수 있다. 전돌 녹유의 납동위원소비 분석결과는 한국중남-남부광산연과 일치하고 있으며, 따라서 포항 법광사지의 녹유전돌의 제작산지는 한반도 남부의 원료를 사용하여 제작했음을 추정할 수 있다.

천공사진(天空寫眞)을 이용한 도시경관의 분석 및 평가 (An Analysis and Evaluation of Urban Landscapes Using Images Taken with a Fish-eye Lens)

  • The purpose of this study was to analyze and evaluate landscape characteristics by classification of landscapes in Chuncheon. A system was developed to convert images taken with a fish-eye lens to panoramic pictures. Landscape characteristics were analyzed by appearance rate and area distribution rate of landscape elements on panorama picture. Landscape characteristics were analyzed according to the number of times landscape elements appeared and the amount of area that each element occupied in the panoramic picture. Each panoramic picture was classified into five types based on these landscape element factors. Landscape evaluation was carried out using dynamic images converted from picture by fish-eye lens. The results of this study can be summarized as follows. The urban landscape can be characterized by four essential factors: interconnectedness, nature, urban centrality and landscape scale. Five types of landscapes were determined: detached residential building landscape (type 1), street landscape with various elements (type 2), street landscape in the center of a city (type 3), landscape of housing complex (type 4), and landscape of green space (type 5). Type 5 had the highest degree of landscape satisfaction and the landscape satisfaction increased with the number of appearances of natural elements. The amount of peen space had a high relation with a landscape satisfaction.

고령화 사회에 대비한 중년층의 노후 주거선호 - 광주지역의 대학생 자녀를 둔 학부형을 대상으로 - (The Preference of Housing for the Elderly among the Middle-aged Households for Aging Society)

  • This study was conducted as a survey to find out middle-aged persons's housing preferences for a future elderly housing and to grasp background characteristics of persons influencing the preferences and the effect of elderly's aging situations on the changes of their preferences. A sample of 300 middle-aged people was selected purposely from parents of university students living in Gwang-ju city. Questionnaires were administered to parents by students and analysed with SPSS Windows 10 program. Middle-aged persons's housing preferences were differed according to elderly's aging situations, in the case of healthy situation, they tended to prefer to stay present house without their children in irrespective to couple or single, whereas in the case of unhealthy situation, they tended to prefer to live with their children. and couples showed preferences for planned housing for the elderly and singles showed preferences for elderly housing facilities with care services. The most important characteristics of elderly housing among middle-aged people was a places where they can enjoy leisure and provide home-help services, located in the suburbs. Also middle-aged persons were likely to prefer to a green spaces such as garden, path for walking, and madang for the elderly housing. Needs for community care services (NCCS) were required above the average. Among the items of NCCS, a visiting medical examination was the most demanding, and a visiting nursing services, a emergency calling bell, and home repairs were sequently followed in the level of needs. The characteristics of the elderly housing which preferred to and needs for community care services were influenced by middle-aged persons's age, gender, subjective evaluation of economic abilities, tenure status, the cost of living, and the size of housing. This findings suggests that it must to be considered to develop various types of the elderly housing depending on socioeconomic status.

소형 수소액화기 설계 및 운전에 관한 연구 (Design and Operation of a Small-Scale Hydrogen Liquefier)

  • In order to accelerate hydrogen society in current big renewable energy trend, it is very important that hydrogen can be transported and stored as a fuel in efficient and economical fashion. In this perspective, liquid hydrogen can be considered as one of the most prospective storage methods that can bring early arrival of the hydrogen society by its high gravimetric energy density. In this study, a small-scale hydrogen liquefier has been designed and developed to demonstrate direct hydrogen liquefaction technology. Gifford-McMahon (GM) cryocooler was employed to cool warm hydrogen gas to normal boiling point of hydrogen at 20K. Various cryogenic insulation technologies such as double walled vacuum vessels and multi-layer insulation were used to minimize heat leak from ambient. A liquid nitrogen assisted precooler, two ortho-para hydrogen catalytic converters, and highly efficient heat pipe were adapted to achieve the target liquefaction rate of 1L/hr. The liquefier has successfully demonstrated more than 1L/hr of hydrogen liquefaction. The system also has demonstrated its versatile usage as a very efficient 150L liquid hydrogen storage tank.

  • As air pollution has emerged as one of the most pressing urban environmental concerns, many studies have investigated the influence of air pollutants(ex: $O^3$, $NO^2$, $SO^2$, Acid rain, etc.) on roadside trees and urban grove. In Korea, population density started to increase since the industrialization. Since dense population aggravates our living conditions, it's very important for us to preserve and keep a lively and refreshing nature in order to live with green nature in harmony under the current artificial environment-dominating world. In metropolitan cities, the production of pollutants increases in proportion to population growth. The vehicle exhaust gas and air pollutants from cooling and heating systems have been the major causes of acid rain. Furthermore, tire particles which are naturally produced by tire wearing on roads and other toxic substances in exhaust gas have caused a problem in human health directly and indirectly. In fact, a lot of studies have analyzed air pollution, roadside trees and plants in Korea. However, they are mostly limited to covering the influence of air pollution on the growth of plants. No paper has clearly explained why air pollution-resistant or-vulnerable species has shown different reactions yet. Even though a lot of urban roadside trees have died or stopped to grow from time to time, this kind of problem has not been properly examined. This paper is aimed to comparatively analyze physio-ecological characteristic such as photosynthesis, chlorophyll contents, soil volume water figure out their relationship with environmental factors against the expanding roadside trees in Cheong-ju, and provide basic data for management of roadside trees and elaboration of urban environment preservation policies.
