This study was investigated the nondestructive characteristics of the damage caused by low-velocity impact on symmetric cross-ply laminates. These laminates were $[0^{\circ}/90^{\circ}]{_{16s,}}\;{_{24s,}}\;{_{32s,}}\;{_{48s}}$, that is, the thickness was 2, 3, 4 and 6 mm. The impact machine, model 8250 Dynatup Instron, was used a drop-weight type with gravity. The impact velocities used in experiment were 0.75, 0.90, 1.05, 1.20 and 1.35 m/sec. The load and deformation were increased as impact velocity increase. Even if the load increased with laminates thickness in same impact velocity, the deformation decreased. The extensional velocity was a quick as laminate thickness increase in same impact velocity and as impact velocity increase in same laminate thickness. In ultrasonic scans, damaged area was represented an dimmed zone. This is due to the fact that the wave, after having been partially reflected by the defects, has not enough energy to tough the oposite side or to come back from it. The damaged laminate areas were different according to the laminate thickness and the impact velocity. The extensional velocities became lower in if direction and higher in $0^{\circ}$ direction when the size of the defects increases. But, it was difficult to draw any conclusion for the extensional velocities in $45^{\circ}$ direction.
The study investigated the nondestructive characteristics of damage, caused by law-velocity impact, on symmetric cross-ply laminates, composed of [0o/90o]16s, 24s, 32s, 48s. The thickness of the laminates was 2, 3, 4 and 6 mm, respectively. The impact machine used, Model 8250 Dynatup Instron, was a drop-weight type that employed gravity. The impact velocities used in this experiment were 0.75, 0.90, 1.05, 1.20 and 1.35 m/sec, respectively. Both the load and the deformation increased when the impact velocity was increased. Further, when the load increased with the laminate thickness in the same impact velocity, the deformation still decreased. The extensional velocity was quick, as the laminate thickness increased in the same impact velocity and the impact velocity increased in the same laminate thickness. In the ultrasonic scans, the damaged area represented a dimmed zone. This is due to the fact that the wave, after the partial reflection by the deflects, does not have enough energy to touch the opposite side or to come back from it. The damaged laminate areas differed, according to the laminate thickness and the impact velocity. The extensional velocities are lower in the 0o direction and higher in the 90o direction, when the size of the defect increases. However, it was difficult to draw any conclusion for the extensional velocities in the 45o direction.

The purpose of this study was to analyze the kinematic variables of over head kick(OHK) in soccer with three dimensional analysis technique and show the kinematic characteristics of it. The 7 subjects were university football player who have been playing football more than 7 years. The OHK was filmed on 16mm video camera(30frame/sec.) kinematic variables were temporal, postures, and COG(center of gravity). The mean values and the standard deviation for each variables were obtained and used as basic factors for examining characteristics of OHK. The results of this analysis were as follows : Temporal variables : The total time elapsed(TE) of OHK was $0.95{\sim}1.14sec$, the 1st phase was 0.35sec., 2nd phase was 0.46sec., and 3rd phase was 0.22sec.. Posture variables : When subjects performed OHK at the impact event, the ankle and knee angle of kicking foot were more extend than supporting foot. but the hip angle of supporting foot were more extend than kirking foot. Moving distance of the center of mass of the both foot. When subject performed OHK at the impact event, the range of distance on mediolateral direction aspect into right left shoulder line, anteroposterior direction aspect was $20.9{\pm}10.5cm$, vertical direction aspect was $92.3{\pm}19.9cm$. Angular velocity : the faster angular velocity of knee ankle on the kicking foot pew form jump position to landing position, the faster velocity of ball became. C. O. G. variables. When subject performed OHK at the impact event, upper part of the body was getting lower, lower part of the body was getting higher.
Reinforced polyurethane foam (R-PUF), a material for liquefied natural gas cargo containment systems, is expected to have different mechanical properties depending on its stacking position of foaming as the glass fiber reinforcement of R-PUF sinks inside R-PUF under the influence of gravity. In addition, since R-PUF is not a homogeneous material, it is also expected that the coordinate direction within this material has a great correlation with the mechanical properties. So, this study was conducted to confirm this correlation with the one between the mechanical properties and the stacking position. In particular, in this study, R-PUF of 3 different densities (130, 170, and 210 kg/m3) was used, and tensile, compression, and shear tests of this material were performed under 5 temperatures. As a result of the tests, it was confirmed that the strength and modulus of elasticity of the material increased as the temperature decreased. Specifically, the strength and modulus of elasticity in the Z direction, which was the lamination direction, tended to be lower than those in the other directions. Finally, the strength and elastic modulus of different specimens of the material found at the bottom of their lamination compared to the specimens with these properties found at positions other than their lamination bottom were evaluated. Further analysis confirmed that as the temperature decreased, hardening of R-PUF occurred, indicating that the strength and modulus of elasticity increased. On the other hand, as the density of R-PUF increased, a sharp increase in strength and elastic modulus of R-PUF was observed.

Conventional visualization of PM (Particulate Matter)10 flows applies superimposition of concentration distribution maps and wind field maps. This method is efficient for small scale maps where only macro flow trends are of interest. However, in the case of urban areas, local flows are difficult to model at micro level using wind fields, and therefore different methods of flow extraction is deemed necessary. In this study, flow information is extracted and visualized directly from the PM10 density data by using the gravity model. This method has the advantage that additional information such as wind field is not necessary for estimating the intensity and direction of PM10 flow. The extracted spatio-temporal flow patterns of PM10 are analyzed with relation to traffic information.
Spatial multiplication phenomenon, expressed through de-constructive trend since the late of 20C, have got changed existing fixed and dis-variable space to smooth, fluid, and changeable space. Ex-form and fluidity of new spatial paradigm have been focused through lots of scientific theories studied between digital thought and indeterminacy and rankless nature phenomena. In 21C fashion, indeterminate and irregular form and space have been crested continuously, which could not explain simply according as the fluidity theory Different from the space crested for multi-function and multipurpose, this is revealed the characteristics of chaosmos that communizes the order and the disorder, deconstruction and creation. Ex-formal space of fashion have shown the relationship of de-centerizing, de-territorial, and do-structural phenomenon among different fashion elements. This paper intends to understand the concept of ex-form, and study expressive manners of ex-formal space of 21C fashion, and conclusion as follows. 1) Overlap changes single space of fashion to multi-layered space through the repeat system of pleats, origami, and folding. 2) Ex-gravity expressed in deviation of the gravity acting vertical direction, for example, twisting, curve, winding, portion. 3) Morphing is shown the change process from single fixed form to different complex form. 4) Blurring is expressed in re-combination and re-arrangement among elements of fashion. 5) Blob shows hybrid fashion space through the liberal compounding and separation of a lot of different elements.

In this study, we were developed an accuracy of the proposed two dimensional statical inclinometer what used a position sensitive detector(PSD) by an error analysis. The inclinometer consists of a laser source, a mass, an optic-fiber, and a PSD. The gravity direction on a base platform of the inclinometer is changed by an unknown inclination angle. And a laser spot is moved from the origin to another position of a PSD following a variation of an optical path by the gravity. These processes enable the inclinometer to estimate the inclination angle from distance information of the moving spot. A design methodology on the basis of a sensitivity analysis was applied to improve the measurement performance such as a full measuring range and a resolution. But it still has error factors, so we analyze the uncertainty of the inclinometer to evaluate the systematic errors from alignments, assembly error and so on. The experimental performance evaluation about the design objectives as a measuring range and a resolution was performed. And the validity and the feasibility of the design process were certified by an experimental process. Systematic errors eliminated to improve the accuracy of the inclinometer by the corrected measuring model from the calibration process between the inclination angle and the PSD position instead of the nominal measuring model. The ANOVA(analysis of variance) confirmed the effect of eliminating the systematic errors in the inclinometer. From these methodologies, the proposed inclinometer was able to measure with a high resolution(35.14sec) and a wide range(from $-15^{\circ}\;to\;15^{\circ}$
This study was undertaken to investigate the variation of equilibrium moisture content (EMC) in transverse direction and three different directional (longitudinal, radial, and tangential) linear movements, and diffusion coefficients within a tree disc of Korean red pine (pinus densiflora). The EMC gradually increased in heartwood from pith. Therefore, the chemical components might differ even in heartwood and the radial variation in EMC might have a close relationship with the cellulose content within a cross section. The specific gravity increases gradually from pith and the porosity has not direct influence on the variation of EMC within a tree disk. Both the radial and tangential diffusion coefficients exhibited clear trend of increase from pith. The EMC change (${\Delta}EMC$) and tangential diffusion coefficient were close to be axisymmetrical but others were deviated from axisymmetry. The diffusion coefficient decreases with decreasing an activation energy and specific gravity, The diffusion coefficient increased with increasing ${\Delta}EMC$ and hygroscopicity of wood might be inversely proportional to the activation energy, The fJEMC may depend on the chemical constituents of cellulose, hemicellulose and lignin. As the number of sorption sites and sorption capacity of wood increase, therefore, it might be assumed that the hygroscopicity of wood increases while activation energy decreases. Modeling physico-mechanical behavior of wood, the variations should be considered to improve the accuracy.

In this paper, a snowboard simulator that measures the user's motion and makes the user feel physical changes and enjoy actual snowboarding was developed. The speed and direction of the snowboard are determined by the user's center of gravity. The developed simulator is equipped with four springs on the snowboard plate, so that the slope can change according to the change in the user's weight center and be felt directly. The slope due to the change in the center of gravity of the user is measured using a three-axis acceleration sensor. The friction of the slope generated by the rotation of the snowboard is made possible by the user using the BLDC motor, and the rotation of the snowboard is measured using the hole sensor. For rapid data processing of the simulator, two MCUs are used to transfer the measured data to the PC using the acceleration sensor and motor separately. The developed simulator can experience slopes and friction of the slope directly, and wear measured data and HMD to enjoy more realistic snowboarding.
An elongated object in one direction can be approximated as a line segment. Here, the closed-form expressions of a line segment's vector magnetic and magnetic gradient tensor are required to interpret responses by a line segment. Therefore, the analytical expressions of the vector magnetic and magnetic gradient tensor are derived. The vector magnetic is converted from the existing gravity gradient tensor using Poisson's relation where the gravity gradient tensor caused by a line segment can be transformed into a vector magnetic. Then, the magnetic gradient tensor is derived by differentiating the vector magnetic with respect to each axis in the Cartesian coordinate system. The synthetic total magnetic data simulated by an iron pile on boreholes are inverted by a nonlinear inversion process so that the physical parameters of the iron pile, including the beginning point, the length, orientation, and magnetization vector are successfully estimated.
