한국의 낙엽분해도 및 년간 무기양분 순환에 관한 연구 (The Decay Map and Turnover Cycles of Litters in Korea)

  • An investigation was performed to draw the decy map of litters on the floors of pine and oak forests in Korea and to reveal the turnover cycles of N, P, K, Ca and Mg in litters. Isodecay constant lines of litter organic matter, which are depended upon the altitude, latitude and orientation, were drawn on the Korean map. The decay constants of organic matter of litters were higher in the broadleaf tree forests than in the needleleaf tree forests, and in the grasslands than in the forests. The amount of mineral nutrients such as N, P, K, Ca and Mg returned annually to soils is higher in the broadleaf tree forests than in the needle leaf tree forests, and highest in the Quercus mongolica forest of the forests.

경북의 해안사구식생 (Coastal Sand Dune Vegetation in Kyungpook Province)

  • A syntaxonomical study about coastal sand dune vegetation in Kyungpook province was carried out. This study was accomplished by the methods of classical block-structure seeking and had-sorting of the $Z\"{u}rich-Montpellier$ School. The main purpose of this study is to clarify the syntaxonomical, synecological, syngeographical and syndynamical characteristics of coastal sand dune vegetation in Kyungpook province. The dune shrubs communities in Kyungpook province are consisted of 2 communities: Vitex rotundifolia community of southern type and Rosa rugosa community of northern type. And the dune grasslands communities are also consisted of 2 communities: Elymo-Caricetum kobomugi Ohba, miyawaki et $T\"{u}xen$ 1973 and carex kobomugi typical community. The subsidiary knowledges from this study will make possible to accumulate qualitative and quantitative information in the distribution pattern of coastal sand dune vegetation, and also will provide practical information for national biodiversity and conservation of coastal ecosystem.ecosystem.

Impact of Surface Fire on the Dynamics of$N_2$- Fixing and P - Solubilizing Microbial Population in Natural Grassland Soils, Southern India

  • Dynamics of certain $N_2$fixing bacteria such as Rhizobium, Azospirillum and Azotobactor, nodule number in dominant legume, Atylosia trinervia, P-solubilizing bacteria, actinomycetes and fungi were studied in unburned and burned site of natural grassland, southern India. Population of $N_2$- fixing bacteria, P-solubilizing bacteria, fungi and nodule number in legume increased significantly in burned sites. On the other hand, the actinomycetes population remained unchanged. Thirty six species of fungi with tricalcium phosphate solubilizing ability were recorded. The most efficient P-solubilizing fungi recognised in the soils of the study sites are Absidia ramosa, Gongronella butlerii, Mortieralla spinosa, Mucor racemosus, Rhizopus nigricans, R. stolonifer, R. oryzae, Aspergillus fumigatus, A. nidulans, A. niger Theilavia terricola and Cheatomium lunasporium.

  • Microwave polarimetric backscattering from a various types of grassland canopies has been analyzed by using the first-order radiative transfer theory in this paper. Leaves in the grassland are modeled by rectangular resistive sheets, which sizes (widths and lengths) and orientations (elevation and azimuth angles) are randomly distributed. Surface roughness and soil moisture of the ground plane under the grass canopy is considered in this computation. The backscattering coefficients of grasslands are computed for different radar parameters (angles, frequencies and Polarizations) as well as different canopy Parameters (size and orientation distributions of leaves, canopy depth, moisture contents of leaves and soil, rms height and correlation length of soil surface). A radar system for 15GHz has been fabricated and used for measurement of the scattering coefficient from a grass canopy. The computation result obtained by the scattering model for the grass canopy is compared with the measurements.

야초지 식생의 상관분석 (Interspecific Association on a Native Grasslands)

  • 광농의 야초지 식생에 100개의 방형구를 설치하여 출현종을 조사한 결과 96종이 기록되었으나, 5개의 방형구 미만에서 출현한 종은 제외시키고, 40종만을 대상으로 삼았으며, 다음과 같은 결과를 얻었다. 1) 중간의 유연관계를 Agnew의 방법으로 처리하여 식물군집을 Group I, II, III 와 3 group으로 나눌 수 있었다. 2) Goodall의 제층분류법에 의해 Group A,B,C,D,E,F 인 6개의 식물군집을 얻었다. 3) (1)에서 얻은 Group I,II,III 을 (2)의 A,B,C,D,E,F 와 대응시켜 빈도의 총합을 비교하였으나, 뚜렷한 상관관계가 나타나지 않았다.

Record of Fimbristylis ovata (Cyperaceae) from Jejudo Island, Korea

  • We report Fimbristylis ovata (Burm.f.) J. Kern (Cyperaceae) from the sunny grasslands along the coastline on Jejudo Island, Korea, as a new distribution in Korea. This is thought to be the third confirmed record of this rare sedge in Korea; the first was from Gapari ('Is. Quelpaert') collected by Taquet in 1908, and the second was from Marado Island, collected by Kim and Kim in 2018. We found two new populations on Jejudo Island, the first with many individuals and the second with only a few plants. Following an examination of herbarium specimens, this species is considered to be rare and endangered in Korea, limited in distribution in Korea to Jejudo and Marado Islands.

  • This investigation is carried out to clarify the cycles of nitrogen in the grassland ecosystems of Zoysia japonica and a Miscanthus sinensis on Mt. Kwanak. The hasic differential equation for the rate of change of nitrogen storage is illustrated hy huild-up and turnover of organic nitrogen, particularly in the ecosystems. The turnover velocity fractions of nitrogen for the Z. japonica and M .sinensis grasslands were k= 0. 181 and k=0. 166, respectively. The times required to reach 50, 95 and 99 percent of the steady state levels and turnover values of nitrogen on the grassland floors were 3.85, 16.67 and 27.78 years in the Z japonica grassland and 4.08, 17.65 and 29.41 years in the M sinensis grassland. The amount of annual cycles of nitrogen are 560.2 g /$m^2$ in the Z.japonica grassland and 654.1 g /$m^2$ in the M. sinensis grassland. Key words : Zsysia japonica Alisca nthus sinensis, Mt. 수생식물 생태계에 있어서 낙엽의 구성성분의 유실률 I. 낙동강 삼각주지역의 갈대 초지 (The Removal Rate of the Constituents of the Litters in the Aquatic Plant Ecosystems I. Phragmites longivalvis Grasslands in a Delta of the Nakdong River)

  • An investigation was performed to reveal the removal rates of organic constituents of the litters in a Phragmithea longivalvis grassland in a Delta of the Nakdong River, The removal rates of the inorganic and organic materials are determined by the mathematical models. The removal rates and time required to decay up to a percentage of each organic constituent were calculated using these new models. The removal rates of cold water soluble fractions, other carbohydrates, hot water soluble fractions, cellulose, crude fat, lignin and crude protein were 2.67, 1.39, 1.25, 1.02, 0.92, 0.49 and 0.47, respectively, The periods required to reach half time to the steady state of the removal and accumulation for cold water soluble fractions, other carbohydrates, hot water soluble fractions, cellulose, crude fat, lignin and crude protein of the litter were 0.26, 0.50, 0.55, 0.68, 0.75, 1.41 and 1.48 years, respectively.

원주지역 산지초지의 연간 생초수량과 버려진 초지의 식생천이에 관한 연구 (Annual Flesh Weight Yield of Oversowing Grassland and Vegetation Succession of Abandoned Grassland in Wonju area)

  • This study was conducted to assess present situiatioq of oversowing grassland yield and vegetational succession of abondoned since 6 years passed grassland in Wonju. The highest annual h s h weight yield was 28ton/ ha and the lowest was I lton/ha and the grass rate of investigated oversowing grasslands were range from 19.5% to 9lS%. The soil properties of abandoned oversowing grassland, such as soil pH content of organic matter, available phosphorus, exchangeable potasium, calcium, and magnesium were 5.7, 3.88%, 3lppm, O.lme1100g 4.9meI 100g and 2.3me/100g, respectively. The floristic composition of abandoned grassland were composed 26 species of vascular plants. The dominant species based on SDR, of grassland were Miscanthus sinensis var. purpurascens(56.32%). Artemisia feddei(48.62%) and Dactylis glomerata(43.85%). The biological spectra showed the H-$D_1$-$R_5$-e type.
