지하유류비축공동(地下油類備蓄空洞)의 수밀성(水密性)에 관한 연구(硏究) (Water Tightness around Under-ground Oil Storage Cavern)

  • 지하류비축동굴의 성패는 지하수에 의하여 공동(空洞) 주위에 유지되는 수밀성(水密性)에 있다. 수밀성(水密性)이 보장되면 동굴에 저장된 유류의 gas가 유출되지 않으며 인접공동(空洞)이 비어 있을 시 이곳으로 이동하지 않는다. 본 연구에서는 전기상사모형실험(電氣相似模型實驗)을 통하여 동굴형태가 gas누출에 미치는 영향과 여러 가지 형태에서 유류이동을 방지하는 지하수위, 동굴내의 유류수준, 동굴간격 등이 검토되었다. 연구결과 동굴의 천정이 큰 곡율을 갖고 있으면 gas누출이 방지될 수 있음이 입증되었고 유류이동을 방지하는데 필요한 자연지하수위, 공동내의 유류수준 및 공동간격이 도표로 주어졌다.

B-spline 곡선을 power 기저형태의 구간별 다항식으로 바꾸는 Direct Expansion 알고리듬 (A Direct Expansion Algorithm for Transforming B-spline Curve into a Piecewise Polynomial Curve in a Power Form.)

  • Usual practice of the transformation of a B-spline curve into a set of piecewise polynomial curves in a power form is done by either a knot refinement followed by basis conversions or applying a Taylor expansion on the B-spline curve for each knot span. Presented in this paper is a new algorithm, called a direct expansion algorithm, for the problem. The algorithm first locates the coefficients of all the linear terms that make up the basis functions in a knot span, and then the algorithm directly obtains the power form representation of basis functions by expanding the summation of products of appropriate linear terms. Then, a polynomial segment of a knot span can be easily obtained by the summation of products of the basis functions within the knot span with corresponding control points. Repeating this operation for each knot span, all of the polynomials of the B-spline curve can be transformed into a power form. The algorithm has been applied to both static and dynamic curves. It turns out that the proposed algorithm outperforms the existing algorithms for the conversion for both types of curves. Especially, the proposed algorithm shows significantly fast performance for the dynamic curves.

비보호 좌회전 포화유률 추정 (Estimation of Unprotected Left-Turn Saturation Flows)

  • When the capacity and traffic operation at signalized intersections are analyzed in Korea, the unprotected left-turn saturation flow rate, which is an important parameter for the analysis, is estimated form the USHCM model. thus, exact analysis of the left-turn is not possible because of the difference of traffic environments between two contries. In order to improve this problem, it is undertaken in this study to develop techniques for the estimation of unprotected left-turn saturation flows based on Korean drivers' data. As study intersections, signalized or unsignalized intersections on the 6, 4 and 2 lane streets are selected. the data for the saturation flow measurement and gap-acceptance behavior analysis are inputed in a notebook computer on the sites. The critical acceptance gaps of the 6, 4, and 2 lane streets are analyzed to be 6.0 secs, 4.6 secs, and 4.3 secs respectively. the average minimum headway of the left-turn vehicle was observed to be 2.6 secs. As the model to estimate unportected left-turn saturation flows, the drew model is recommended for 6 and 4 lane streets, and a graph is suggested for the 2-lane street. As the values of the parameters of the Drew model, the 2.6 secs of this study is recommended for the average minimum headway of the left-turn. But, the critical acceptance gap varies according to the approach speed of opposing traffic and driver population, it requires field survey to measure the gap of an intersection; however, the values of the gaps studied in this study may be used for the general intersections in urban area in Korean.

교류서보계의 궤환제어 구현 (Implementation of Feedback Controller on the Servo System)

  • In the mechanical system, optimization of motion control is very essential in the aspect of automation technique progress. In the servo system, the function of controller is very important but most of the controllers have played only the role of pulse generator because the controller with main function is very expensive. In this thesis, the system was composed of PC, commonly used driver AC servo motor and a produced control board. The PC transmit a gain, a locus data to a driver and controller. At the same time, it converts imformation from the controller and convert them into data and offer an output with graph. The role of a controller is to trasmit a locus data to a driver and counting the pulse on the phase of an encoder to the PC. We have performed the experiment in order to confirm with variable PID parameter capable of the optimization of gain tuning with the counting of feedback control sensor signal with regard to the external interface into the system, such as torque. Based on the experiment result, we have confirmed as follows: First, it was confirmed that we could easily input control factors P.I Gain, constant $K_P,\;K_I$ into PC. Second, not only pulse generator function was possible, but with this pulse it was also possible to count using software with PIC chip. And third, using the multi-purpose PIC micro chip, simple operation and the formation of small size AC Servo Controller was possible.

철도 안전 설비의 정량적 위험평가 기술 (Technical Review on the QRA of Railway Safety Facilities)

  • The overall goal of a safety based railroad system is either to eliminate hazards in designing or to minimize the possibility of it. In order to indicate system safety or low risk although it may not be possible to achieve zero risk conditions, first, it shall ensure that any disasters would occur due to system operation because the prescribed specifications are properly fulfilled and there are no failures of any kind. Second, the risk of faults or failures leading to a mishap must be eliminated or minimized by using fault-tolerance or fail-safe procedures. This paper will attempt to summarize the personal and social risk criterion at widely scattered points, presently used as a safety approach in all over EU, in order to establish the step by step procedures of the detailed standard for railway facilities. In addition, we present the new safety analysis method using the SIL-based evaluation standard and the Reachability Graph of the Petri Net.

인시투 가스 측정이 가능한 경제적 가스 챔버 구현 및 센서 전압에 따른 가스 응답 특성 분석 (Economical Gas Chamber for In-situ Gas Measurement and Analysis of Gas Response Characteristics according to Sensor Voltage)

  • Breath analysis using a portable device is better than the classical breath analysis system in terms of installation and operation. There is an increasing need to develop cost-effective equipment for testing gas sensors from the viewpoint of functionalities that can be applied applicable to portable devices. In the present study, an economical gas chamber for in-situ gas measurement is implemented with a single gas chamber without using expensive gas storage and control equipment; the gas response characteristics are analyzed using the above-described chamber. The main features of the implemented gas chamber are simple injection procedure, improved gas diffusion, easy measurement and cleaning, support for low-power mode measurement function for portable devices, and open source platform. Moreover, an analysis of gas response characteristics based on changes in sensor voltage show that the sensitivity and 90% response time are affected by the sensor voltage. Furthermore, the sensitivity graph has an inflection point in a specific range. The gas sensor applied in this study showed fast response speed and high sensitivity for sensor voltages of 3.0-3.5 V, regardless of the concentration of acetone gas, the target gas used in this study.

토템폴 브릿지리스 PFC의 내부 손실 분석과 병렬 스위치를 사용한 효율 개선에 관한 연구 (A Study on Internal Loss Analysis of Totem Pole Bridgeless PFC and Efficiency Improvement using Parallel Switch)

  • In this paper, a generalized efficiency equation was proposed to estimate the internal loss of the SMPS (switched-mode power supply) with 3 variables. The first variable was an internal loss not related to the load current such as auxiliary power, the second was a loss proportional to the current such as diode loss, and the third was a loss proportional to square of the current such as conduction loss. Especially, theoretical internal losses of the totem pole bridgeless PFC which is widely used for high efficiency SMPS were expressed as output function to compare generalized efficiency equation. In addition, in order to reduce the conduction loss of the switch, when a multiple switch were paralleled, the correlation with the efficiency was analyzed and shown as a graph. In order to confirm the degree of the parallel switch structure on the efficiency improvement, a 2kW class totem pole bridgeless PFC was constructed and the effectiveness of the analysis was confirmed by comparing the generalized efficiency equation and theoretical loss analysis results with experimental data.

Zr-4의 고온 크리프 및 응력이완 특성에 관한 연구 (A Study on High Temperature Creep and Stress Relaxation Properties of Zr-4)

  • Zr-4 used for a cladding and an end plug of reactor component has creep deformation under operation at high temperature. Creep is regarded as the time dependent deformation of a material under constant applied stress. Although the major source of the deformation of zirconium component in water-cooled reactors is irradiation creep, the thermal creep may give a rise to significant deformation in reactor component especially at relatively high temperatures and at various constant stresses, and therefore it must be predicted accurately. Stress relaxation is the time dependent change of stress at constant strain and it is a process related intimately to creep. In this paper, the creep behavior and stress relaxation of Zr-4 is examined at the temperature of 50$0^{\circ}C$ that is 40% of the absolute melting temperature of Zr-4 under the stress below yield stress and under the various constant strains. The results obtained are summarized as follows: 1) With an increase of stress, the steady state creep rate increases and the creep rupture time decreases. 2) The steady state creep rate $\varepsilon$(%/s) for the stress $\sigma$sub(c) (kgf/mm super(2)) of Zr-4 increases outstandingly. All the empirical equations computed for Zr-4 increases outstandingly. All the empirical equations computed for Zr-4 are in accord with Norton's model equation($\varepsilon$=K$\sigma$ sub(c) super (n)). The constants of materials computed are as follows: K=3.9881$\times$10 super(-5), n=1.9608 3) The rupture time T sub(r) (hr) decreases linearly with the increase of stress on the log-log scaled graph. The empirical equations computed for Zr-4 are in accord with Bailey's model equation (T sub(r)=K sub(1)$\sigma$sub(c) super(m)). The constants of materials computed are as follows: K sub(1)=1.2875$\times$10 super(16), m=-3.467 4) It seems clear that the strain could be quantitatively dependent on the high temperature creep properties such as creep stress, rupture time, steady state creep rate and total creep rate. It is found that these relationships are linear on the log-log graph. 5) In stress relaxation test, as the critical constant strain that can be allowed to the specimen is larger, stress relaxation becomes more rapid, and as the constant strain is smaller, the stress relaxation becomes slower.

SiC 하이브리드 모듈을 적용한 근거리용 7kW Inverter 동작 안정성에 대한 연구 (Research on operation stability of 7kW Inverter for short distance vehicle using SiC Hybrid module)

  • 본 논문은 SiC Hybrid module를 적용한 7kW 인버터의 동작 안정성에 관한 것으로 손실 방정식과 시뮬레이션 결과를 비교하여 시뮬레이션 결과의 유효성을 검증하였으며, 시뮬레이션을 통해 Si module과 SiC Hybrid module의 스위치 손실과 다이오드 손실을 비교하였다. 손실 방정식 계산을 통하여 SiC Hybrid module의 도통 손실은 168W, 스위칭 손실은 9.3W, 다이오드 손실은 10.5nW의 결과를 나타내었으며, 시뮬레이션 결과와 비교하였을 때 유사한 값을 나타내었다. 이를 바탕으로 Si module과 SiC Hybrid module의 시뮬레이션 결과 값 비교 결과, Si module의 총 소자 손실값은 246.2W, SiC Hybrid module의 총 소자 손실 값은 189.9W를 나타내었으며, 손실 차이 값은 56.3W로써 약 0.8W의 효율 차이를 보였다. 이로 인하여 SiC SBD의 Reverse recovery 특성을 검증하였다. 또한 고온 포화상태에서 SiC Hybrid module 및 Si module의 안정성을 확인하기 위하여 온도 포화 테스트를 진행하였으며, Si module의 경우, 출력전력 4kW에서 동작을 멈추었고, SiC Hybrid module은 7kW까지 동작을 확인하였다. 이를 바탕으로, 효율 그래프와 온도 그래프를 제시하였으며, Si module은 4kW까지, SiC Hybrid module은 7kW까지 그래프로 나타내었다.

표적 SAR 시뮬레이션 영상을 이용한 식별 성능 분석 (Performance Analysis of Automatic Target Recognition Using Simulated SAR Image)

  • Synthetic Aperture Radar (SAR)영상은 날씨와 주야에 관계없이 취득될 수 있어 감시, 정찰 및 국토안보 등의 목적을 위한 자동표적인식(Automatic Target Recognition, ATR)에 활용 가능성이 높다. 그러나, 식별 시스템 개발을 위해 다양하고 방대한 양의 시험영상을 구축하는 것은 비용, 운용측면에서 한계가 있다. 최근 표적 모델을 이용하여 시뮬레이션된 SAR 영상에 기반한 표적 식별 시스템 개발에 대한 관심이 높아지고 있다. SAR-ATR 분야에서 대표적으로 이용되는 산란점 매칭과 템플릿 매칭 기반 알고리즘을 적용하여 표적식별을 수행하였다. 먼저 산란점 매칭 기반의 식별은 점을 World View Vector (WVV)로 재구성 후 Weighted Bipartite Graph Matching (WBGM)을 수행하였고, 템플릿 매칭을 통한 식별은 서로 인접한 산란점으로 재구성한 두 영상간의 상관계수를 사용하였다. 개발한 두 알고리즘의 식별성능시험을 위해 최근 미국 Defense Advanced Research Projects Agency (DARPA)에서 배포한 표적 시뮬레이션 영상인 Synthetic and Measured Paired Labeled Experiment (SAMPLE) 자료를 사용하였다. 표준 환경, 표적의 부분 폐색, 랜덤 폐색 정도에 따른 알고리즘 성능을 분석하였다. 산란점 매칭 알고리즘의 식별 성능이 템플릿 매칭보다 전반적으로 우수하였다. 10개 표적을 대상으로 표준환경에서의 산란점 매칭기반 평균 식별률은 85.1%, 템플릿 매칭기반은 74.4%이며, 표적별 식별성능 편차 또한 산란점 매칭기법이 템플릿 매칭기법보다 작았다. 표적의 부분 폐색정도에 따른 성능은 산란점 매칭기반 알고리즘이 템플릿 매칭보다 약 10% 높고, 표적의 랜덤 폐색 60% 발생에도 식별률이 73.4% 정도로 비교적 높은 식별성능을 보였다.
